Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of cooperatives and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in improving the welfare of the community in Greater Malang which includes Malang City, Malang Regency, and Batu City. The approach used is qualitative with a case study method through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that cooperatives play an important role in providing access to capital, financial education, and strengthening the economic solidarity of members. Meanwhile, MSMEs are the main drivers of the local economy by creating jobs, increasing community income, and encouraging product innovation based on local potential such as culinary, handicrafts, and agro-tourism. Synergy between cooperatives and MSMEs is beginning to take shape, but it is still not optimal due to limited managerial literacy and low adoption of digitalization. Support from the government, universities, and the private sector is an important factor to strengthen the capacity of cooperatives and MSMEs in improving community welfare in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

According to Tan Malaka, one of the directions towards Indonesian independence is through education. One of the essential things that needed to be accomplished by Indonesian society at that time was to eliminate mythical beliefs that were ingrained in flesh and blood (Afandi and Rahman, 2015). Tan Malaka's goal is to invite Indonesian citizens to apply logic and scientific understanding to help the Indonesian nation become an independent and progressive nation in the future. The aim of writing this article is that the author will focus on further exploring Tan Malaka's thoughts on education, as well as its impact on education policy in Indonesia today. This research is qualitative in nature and uses a descriptive analytical approach. This method is used to see traces of Tan Malaka's thoughts about education from a concept or infrastructure perspective with education in Indonesia today. According to Tan Malaka, education can be used as a political tool to achieve big goals, one of which is achieving national independence. According to Tan Malaka, education must be given in Indonesian and removed from Indonesian culture. The education designed by Tan Malaka is revolutionary-oriented education. In the modern era, Tan Malaka's own thoughts can be adapted into an independent curriculum, namely the freedom for students to explore personal abilities without being burdened by rigid and passive conventional learning methods.

Abstract

Presently, about 20% of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) fields in Indonesia are on peat soil, in addition to that otherarea of peat soil has been conventionally used for rice field and vegetables. To elucidate the global warmingpotentials of peat soils cultivated to oil palm, vegetable or rice field, field experiment has been carried out in SouthKalimantan. Air samples were taken from rice field, oil palm and vegetable fields in weekly basis for six month periodand analyzed for concentrations of N2O, CH4 and CO2. The global warming potentials (GWP) of the three gases werecalculated by multiplying the emission of each gas with their respective mole warming potential. This step wasfollowed by the addition of the three gases’ GWP to have the total GWP. The results showed that the emissions ofgreenhouse gases from peat soils changed seasonally and varied with the crops cultivated. Oil palm has resultedthe highest GWP, mostly contributed by N2O. There was no statistical different in total GWP of paddy andvegetable fields. The annual N2O emission from oil palm field was 4,582 g N ha-1 yr-1. Water, nutrients and organicmatter managements are among the potential techniques to minimize gas emissions from oil palm field which needfield trials.

Abstract

Abatement of carbon emission to net zero level in 2050 is a serious work for Indonesia in all sectors. In this article, review on the current status of CC technologies was conducted including commercial scale and R&D works. The technologies performance was also inserted in order to provide the information that valuable and useful in technological selection. However, the challenges and barriers for Indonesia in their efforts to reduce carbon emissions are not only about technological aspects; the issues of policy, socio culture, law and human resources also play an important role. Abstract

This research aims to find out how much influence the parent-child relationship has on the self-actualization of students at Kledokan Kalasan Elementary School. The method used is a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. The research sample consisted of 43 students. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to subjects to measure parent-child relationship and self-actualization variables. The results of the analysis show that the parent-child relationship variable has an average value of 61.2791, while the average value for student self-actualization is 55.1628. It is known that the linearity test results have a sig value. deviation from linearity is 0.863 > 0.05, so there is a linear relationship between the two variables. Hypothesis testing using Pearson product moment correlation analysis produces a significance value of 0.006, which indicates a significant relationship between the two variables. The Pearson correlation coefficient value of 0.409 indicates a moderate correlation between parent-child relationship and self-actualization. The results of this research provide important implications for parents and educators to improve the quality of parent-child relationships as an effort to support the development of children's self-actualization.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that arises as a result of malnutrition that lasts long enough. Factors that can affect the incidence of stunting are directly influenced by infectious diseases and lack of nutritional intake in quality and quantity. The indirect factors are socioeconomic factors, parental education, parental employment, exclusive breastfeeding, immunization status, reach of health care facilities and inadequate parenting. The problem of stunting is a concern considering the numbers are still high in Indonesia. This includes Jember Regency. According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health in the results of the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey in 2022 (in radarjember.jawapos.com) has placed Jember as the area with the highest prevalence of stunted toddlers in East Java with a percentage reaching 34.9 percent. The method used was counseling by socializing and asking questions about stunting to cadre mothers and local mothers in Dukuhmencek Village, one of the villages in Jember. Activities were carried out in each hamlet in this village which includes Krajan Hamlet, Ampo Hamlet, and Botosari Hamlet. In the implementation, we provided posters containing stunting prevention as an effort to continue to improve health status in order to reduce stunting rates in the surrounding area
