Abstract

Purpose: This study explores the integration between food downstreaming and the halal industry through value chain integration theory, industry competitiveness concept and astagatra national resilience perspective. Study Design/Methodology/Approach: The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through systematic literature analysis and interviews with various experts in the fields of economics and wealth sources. The descriptive-analytical analysis was conducted using the framework or concepts of Porter's diamond model, CRT, SWOT (EFAS and IFAS), and TOWS. Findings: The Porter's Diamond Model analysis indicates that the halal food downstreaming industry in Indonesia is not yet fully competitive, with the CRT analysis identifying four root causes. Then, based on the SWOT analysis, the coordinates (2.43; 2.78) were obtained, indicating the need for a "turnaround" strategy to enhance competitiveness and address the identified weaknesses in the halal food downstreaming industry. Originality/Value: This study present national strategy to enhance halal food downstreaming based on the value chain integration theory. Indonesia needs to expand market penetration through trade diplomacy, product diversification, culinary-based branding, and credible halal certification. The government needs to develop industrial clusters, provide incentives for supporting industries, partner with research institutions and universities, and adopt international standards. Furthermore, capacity building and awareness among MSMEs need to be strengthened through national-scale training programs that focus on best practices, technological advancements, and market access strategies. Finally, cross-sector policy integration needs to be improved.

Abstract

Background: Project delays remain a critical issue in the land-based construction industry, often leading to financial losses and missed business opportunities, particularly under lump-sum contract schemes. The coastal protection project undertaken by PT Sabar Sejahtera experienced a three-month delay, indicating weaknesses in risk management practices during the early stages of the project. Aims: This study aims to design a structured project risk management system to mitigate schedule delays in land-based construction projects through a case study of the PT Sabar Sejahtera coastal protection project. Methods: A mixed-method approach combining qualitative and quantitative techniques was employed. Primary data were collected through focus group discussions (FGDs) with key project stakeholders, while secondary data were obtained from internal company documents. Root cause analysis was conducted using a Current Reality Tree (CRT) to identify the main causes of project delays, and proposed solutions were developed using a Future Reality Tree (FRT). Risk evaluation was performed using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to calculate the Risk Priority Number (RPN), supported by the application of a project risk management framework based on the PMBOK 6th Edition. Result: The findings indicate that the primary causes of project delays were systematic errors during the tendering and planning stages, as well as the absence of a formal risk mitigation plan. These factors generated a domino effect that adversely affected procurement processes, equipment availability, project scheduling, and the main contractor’s confidence. Conclusion: The study concludes that implementing an integrated and comprehensive risk management system from the early stages of a project is essential to prevent similar delays in the future. Enhancing tendering and planning processes through early cross-departmental involvement and applying the full PMBOK risk management cycle can significantly improve project efficiency and control in complex construction environments.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Merdeka Curriculum in enhancing student competencies through a systematic literature review of 28 selected articles published between 2020 and 2025. The review followed the PRISMA framework, involving identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and final inclusion stages. Data were synthesized using a structured extraction table to analyze research objectives, methods, findings, and relevance to the Merdeka Curriculum. The results indicate that the curriculum supports more flexible, differentiated, and project-based learning, contributing to improvements in creativity, independence, and higher-order thinking skills. Several studies also highlight increased student engagement and the development of the Pancasila Student Profile as central outcomes of the curriculum's implementation. However, challenges persist, including varied teacher readiness, limited learning resources, and inconsistent school-level support, which influence the curriculum's overall effectiveness. The discussion emphasizes that while the Merdeka Curriculum holds strong potential to transform learning, its success depends on systemic factors such as professional development, resource availability, and administrative commitment. The study concludes that the curriculum offers a promising framework for modern education but requires strengthened implementation strategies to achieve its intended impact across diverse educational settings

Abstract

Uncaria sclerophylla Roxb is a traditional medicinal plant used to treat diabetes mellitus in Kalimantan, Indonesia, and the antidiabetic properties of its stem bark have not been previously investigated. This research will focus on investigating the potential of U. sclerophylla stem bark as an antidiabetic with the mechanism of inhibiting dipeptidyl peptidase-4, α-glucosidase, and antioxidants from extracts to chromatographic fractions, including the exploration of the major compounds contained in the most active chromatographic fraction. Extraction using a four-grade maceration technique, bioassays were carried out using spectrophotometric methods, fractionation using gradient column chromatography, and compound profiling using UHPLC-Q-ToF-MS/MS. The profiled compounds were predicted for their bioactivity in silico. The stem bark of U. sclerophylla demonstrated antidiabetic potential, and the methanol extract showed superior antidiabetic potential compared with the other extracts. From the extract, the most active chromatographic fraction, FUS2, was successfully obtained, which had the best activity with DPP-4 inhibition IC50 of 83.07 ± 6.3393 µg/mL, α-glucosidase inhibition IC50 of 58.06 ± 1.6226 µg/mL, and antioxidant IC50 of 8.47 ± 0.0443 (DPPH method) and 8.47 ± 0.0234 µg/mL (FRAP method). Compound profiling of FUS2 and in silico bioassays revealed potential antidiabetic compounds, including rhynchophyllic acid, arecatannin A2, silydianin, and procyanidin A2.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the psychological aspects experienced by the character Bahar in Tere Liye's novel Janji using a qualitative descriptive method to describe the data in the form of stimuli, responses, and reinforcements experienced by the character. The research data consists of quotes that show the presence of stimuli, responses, and forms of reinforcement that appear throughout Bahar's journey in the story. The data source comes entirely from Tere Liye's novel Janji. The data collection techniques used include coding techniques to mark relevant quotes and close reading techniques to read and understand the text in depth. Data analysis was carried out by reading the entire novel to understand the context of the events involving Bahar, and then coding each finding related to stimuli, responses, and reinforcements. Next, the findings were analyzed using B. F. Skinner's behaviorism theory to examine the relationship between the character's received stimuli, the responses they exhibited, and the reinforcements that influenced their behavioral changes. Based on the research findings, it was discovered that Bahar's behavior is highly influenced by environmental factors, including interactions with those around him, which elicit various specific responses. These responses then undergo changes or reinforcement based on the experiences he has, indicating that Bahar's behavior is shaped by a combination of external and internal influences.
