Abstract

Language speakers are not only on the side of direct communication; they may also be seen as individuals with established psychological. This psycholinguistic study examines the phenomenon of psychogenic language disorder in the form of childlike speech behavior among young adults, focusing on a subject referred to as VA (20 years old) who exhibits such speech patterns with her partner. The aim of this research is to describe the phonological alterations that occur and to identify the psychological factors underlying this childlike speech behavior. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach, using observation and interviews as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that the subject's childlike speech behavior involves various phonological changes, such as dissimilation, anaptyxis, metathesis, and zeroization. This phenomenon is not caused by any physical disorder, but rather by a psychological drive to seek attention and affection. These findings highlight the significant role of psychological aspects in language production and underscore the importance of considering psychogenic factors in psycholinguistic studies, particularly in understanding mild language disorders of psychological origin.

Abstract

(1) Background: Bullying is a form of violence that often occurs in school environments and can have negative impacts on the psychological, social, and academic conditions of students. A lack of understanding among students regarding the forms, causes, and impacts of bullying leads to this behavior often being considered a normal part of social dynamics. Therefore, educational efforts are needed to enhance students' knowledge and awareness from an early age; (2) Purpose of the Study: to determine the effectiveness of health education in increasing the knowledge of students at SMP Negeri 19 Palu about bullying; (3) Methods: The activity was conducted on June 18, 2025, using interactive lecture methods, discussions, and question and answer sessions. Evaluation was conducted using pre-tests and post-tests on 19 students of class VIII B as respondents; (4) Results: The pre- test results show that 36.8% of students have a low level of knowledge, 42.1% have sufficient knowledge, and only 21.1% have good knowledge. After being given counseling, the post- test results showed a significant increase with 89.5% of students having good knowledge and the remaining 10.5% having sufficient knowledge. There are no more students in the low knowledge category; and (5) Conclusions: Health education is effective in increasing students' knowledge about bullying. This activity is expected to be a preventive effort in creating a safe school environment free from acts of violence.

Abstract

Pearson correlation coefficient is often unreliable for data that is not bivariate normally distributed or outliers are present, which affects the accuracy of measuring the strength of the linear relationship. Alternatively, Spearman correlation coefficient can be used to measure monotonic relationships without the assumption of normal distribution and can overcome the presence of outliers. Although the t-test approach to Spearman correlation is commonly used in theory, it is not always appropriate and can result in a Type I error when data are not normal or the sample size is small. To overcome these limitations, Yu & Hutson in 2022 proposed a robust permutation test method on the Spearman correlation coefficient using studentized statistics designed to overcome deviations from bivariate normality and small sample sizes, providing better control of Type I error. This research discusses the application of that method to analyze data of the open unemployment rate and the number of reported crimes in Indonesia. Using the permutation test, it was obtained the value of =0.2437 with a p-value <0.05, indicating a significant correlation between the two variables. The findings of this study are expected to provide a basis for effective policy recommendations in reducing crime rates by considering unemployment factors.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to empower local communities by enhancing their knowledge and skills in utilizing green grass jelly (Cyclea barbata Miers) as an alternative ingredient for healthy food and beverage products. Conducted over three days, the training involved 12 participants with diverse backgrounds, including homemakers, youth, and micro-entrepreneurs. The program adopted a participatory training approach that combined theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, including plant identification, jelly extraction techniques, hygiene practices, and product innovation. Pre- and post-training assessments revealed significant improvement in participants’ understanding and abilities. Initially, only 25% of participants were familiar with the plant's benefits and usage. After the training, 100% of participants demonstrated comprehension of the nutritional value and processing methods, and 75% successfully created product variants such as fruit-infused jelly drinks and herbal puddings. The training encouraged creativity and showed the potential of green grass jelly as a sustainable, low-cost, and health-promoting ingredient suitable for micro-entrepreneurial ventures. The program concluded that community-based food innovation training can serve as an effective model for promoting local resources, enhancing food security, and developing rural economies. It also emphasized the importance of combining traditional knowledge with modern food processing techniques to generate added value and marketable products.

Abstract

Severe hyperglycemia symptoms can be brought on by elevated blood glucose levels. Diabetes mellitus will result if this occurs consistently over a period of years. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of breadfruit leaf extract on blood glucose reduction and the effects of alloxan on mice's weight. Data analysis using ANOVA at 5% confidence interval and LSD (Least Significant Difference) test. The research results showed that the K+ group (which was only induced by alloxan) experienced a significant decrease in blood glucose levels when breadfruit leaf extract was administered. Blood glucose level of mice was found to decrease by 61% (87.60 ± 1.07) at an effective dose of 22.4 mg/grbw/day (P3), which was almost the same as the blood glucose level of K (-) on day 0; in addition, the body weight of mice increased after a hyperglycemic episode when the ethanol extract of breadfruit leaves was administered.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are health problems that are common and can be experienced by anyone, not limited to a specific age. Several studies have shown that there is a relationship between ergonomic knowledge and MSD complaints, one of which is the Range of Motion (ROM) of the ankle plantar flexion. This service activity was carried out for 25 students at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Palembang in October 2024 offline. The form of service activities is in the form of counseling and health checks, in the form of nutritional status checks, and ROM Plantar Flexion ankle. The results showed that as many as 18 (72%) respondents had normal plantar flexion ROM results, and as many as 7 (28%) respondents had abnormal plantar flexion ROM results. As well as the results of increasing knowledge, seen from the increase in mean values between pretests and posttests. By increasing public knowledge through effective, easy-to- understand, and relevant education, we can increase people's awareness of health, so that they can live a more comfortable and quality life.
