Abstract

Digital transformation has become a strategic necessity for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), yet its implementation remains uneven due to complex technological, organizational, and contextual barriers. This study explores how SMEs navigate the challenges of adopting digital technologies and the strategies they employ to adapt within resource-constrained environments. Using a qualitative multi-case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis involving SMEs across diverse sectors. The findings reveal that technological limitations—such as inadequate infrastructure and high software costs—intersect with financial constraints to restrict the scope of digital adoption. Organizational readiness and human resource capability further influence transformation outcomes, with limited digital literacy and resistance to change emerging as significant inhibitors. Despite these challenges, SMEs demonstrate adaptive resilience by adopting incremental digitization, leveraging collaborative networks, and aligning digital initiatives with their operational contexts. Leadership commitment and capability-building efforts also play crucial roles in shaping transformation pathways. The study contributes to theoretical discourse by extending the relevance of the Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) framework and the Resource-Based View (RBV) within emerging-market SME contexts. Practically, the findings underscore the need for targeted support systems, affordable digital solutions, and capacity-building programs to enable inclusive digital transformation.

Abstract

Background. The proliferation of social media has fundamentally reshaped public discourse, creating powerful new arenas for climate change communication. Youth activists, in particular, have adeptly leveraged these platforms to mobilize global environmental campaigns, bypassing traditional media gatekeepers. This research addresses the need to understand the specific communication strategies employed by these digital-native activists to engage audiences and drive collective action. Purpose. This study aims to identify and analyze the primary communication strategies used by youth-led environmental campaigns on social media platforms. Method. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, this research conducts a content analysis of social media posts from prominent youth activist campaigns across Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok. The analysis focuses on message framing, narrative techniques, visual elements, and calls to action. Results. The findings reveal a multi-faceted communication strategy that combines strong emotional appeals and personal storytelling with the simplification and visualization of complex scientific data. Furthermore, a consistent and clear call to action, often linked to specific policy demands or lifestyle changes, is a central component of these campaigns. Conclusion. This study concludes that the effectiveness of youth-led climate campaigns on social media lies in their ability to create a relatable, urgent, and empowering narrative that fosters a sense of shared identity and collective efficacy among their followers.

Abstract

The need for children's literature that aligns with developmental stages and integrates cultural values is increasingly urgent to support contextual literacy. This study analyzes the alignment of manuscripts from the Ministry of Education's reading material competition with official leveling guidelines. Employing a qualitative approach with literature analysis, ten manuscripts from the 2023 Central Java Language Center competition were selected via purposive sampling. Analysis focused on three aspects: linguistics, content, and format. Regarding linguistics (complexity, organization, style, and predictability), most manuscripts complied, yet issues in structural complexity and organization weakened readability. In terms of content (genre, familiarity, and vocabulary), although genres were appropriate, rapid pacing and indistinct characters diminished developmental familiarity, while cultural vocabulary lacked explanation. Regarding format (length, typography, and layout), manuscript length was generally adequate, but inconsistencies in typography and illustration remained. The study concludes that the manuscripts fail to fully meet the leveling guidelines essential for child-friendly curation.

Abstract

School education can determine the quality of life of students in the future and meet some of their needs. However, when teaching, students often experience academic pressure because they cannot adapt to the school curriculum. The Taruna High School program is very good for training discipline, but there is something that needs to be considered because the Taruna High School, one of which is in East Java, uses a competency program, an independent curriculum, and is religiously based, so that the academic load also increases and causes academic stress. This study investigated the effects of dance therapy on academic stress. The type of research used is experimental method research, with a One Group Pretest Posttest Design experimental design . The subjects in this research were Taruna Madani High School students in East Java. The hypothesis proposed is the effect of dance therapy on academic stress. The population used was SMA Taruna Madani East Java students. The research sample consisted of 35 male and female students. The sample was taken using purposive sampling method . The measuring instrument uses the ESSA measuring instrument. Hypothesis testing using the t-test repeated observations obtained a value of t = 12,957 with significance = 0.000 (p <0.05), for the pretest mean (50.00) it decreased during the Posttest (35.36). This shows that there is an effect of dance therapy on academic stress levels after being given dance therapy training, meaning that dance therapy is effective in reducing academic stress.

Abstract

Nomophobia, or the fear of being disconnected from smartphones, is a phenomenon that has emerged in the 21st century. Excessive smartphone usage can lead to feelings of anxiety when not connected to a smartphone, thus affecting the quality of life and social interactions of an individual. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between loneliness and social anxiety with nomophobia among adolescents. The respondents in this study consist of 145 teenagers aged 15-18 who are active smartphone users. The research method used is quantitative, employing multiple regression analysis. The research results showed an F = 13.433 with a significance level = 0.000 (p < 0.05). This indicates that loneliness and social anxiety have an influence on nomophobia among adolescents. Subsequently, it was found that loneliness exhibited a positive relationship with nomophobia among adolescents, with a t-value = 2.187 and a significance level = 0.030 (p < 0.05). Similarly, social anxiety demonstrated a positive relationship with nomophobia among adolescents, as evidenced by a t-value = 2.538 with a significance level = 0.012 (p < 0.05).

Abstract

Abstract Self compassion refers to an individual’s attitude that encompasses self kindness, recognition of common humanity, and mindful awareness toward oneself. This study aimed to examine the relationship between self compassion and self criticism among students who failed to gain admission to their dream universities. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, involving 150 students who had experienced failure in entering their preferred universities. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results indicated a significant negative relationship between self-compassion and self criticism among students who failed to enter their dream universities. Higher levels of self-compassion were associated with lower levels of self-criticism in coping with the experience of failure. This finding was supported by the correlation analysis, which showed a correlation coefficient of r = −0.607 with a significance value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that higher self-compassion is related to lower self-criticism, and vice versa. Students who are able to develop and embrace self-compassion effectively tend to reduce self-critical behaviors following experiences of academic failure.
