Abstract

Has successed studied shyntesis Barium M-Hexaferrite (BaM) powder with doping Mn and tested using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR). Shyntesis has using coprecipitation method. This study intend to describe substitute Mn against crystal bounded of BaM process with x = 0; 0.2; 0.4; and 0.6. BaM powder with doping Mn is dried on themperature 80 0C and calcined on themperature 400; 600; and 800 0C for 4 hours. Barium M-Hexaferrite BaFe12-xMnxO19 doped by Mn characterized using FTIR. The result show that wave number between 450 until 690 cm-1 is metal bound (Fe-O) on BaM phase and range between 1000 until 1650 cm-1 showing characteristic of Ba-O bound.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) reveal the effect of problem based and expository learning towards physics’ learning outcomes, (2) uncover the effect of students’ science process skill towards physics’ learning outcomes, (3) reveal the interaction between students’ science process skill and their physics’ learning outcomes. This study is a quasi-experimental study applying factorial design 2 x 2. The study was conducted from November 2014 to May 2015.  The population of this research is the whole students of class VIII which comprises of 9 classes in MTS Negeri 1 Mataram. The purposive sampling was chosen as the sampling technique for this study, in which class VIII-8 acted as the experiment class and class VIII-7 as the controlled class. The data collection encompasses data of science process skill, and students’ physics’ learning outcomes (in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains) towards the main material of light. Technique of collecting data of science process and physics’ learning outcomes in affective and psychomotor domains were done by using observation sheet with certain criteria, while cognitive domain was done through the test.  The test instrument has previously been through validity test, reliability test, difficulty level, and discrimination index. The data obtained were firstly tested their normality and homogeneity, then continued by the testing of the hypothesis by using two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Data analysis technique was done by using ANOVA 2x2 with different cell. The result of this study shows that (1) problem based and expository learning affects physics’ learning outcomes, (2) students’ science process skill affects their physics’ learning outcomes, and (3) there is no interaction between science process skill and students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is aimed to identify the effect of advance organizer learning model through video learning towards physics learning outcome of second grade students MIA SMAN 2 Labuapi. Advance Organizer is a learning model which consists of 3 phases: presentation of Advance Organizer, presentation of learning assignment or learning of material, and strengthen the cognitive structure. There are three domains of learning objective concerned in the study, which are, first cognitive aspect from C1 until C6 (knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation), second is affective aspect and the last is psychomotor aspect. The student cognitive learning outcome was done by using objective test. Based on data analysis, t count > t table, as the result, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted that there was the influence of advance organizer learning model through video learning towards physics learning outcome of  second grade students MIA SMAN 2 Labuapi.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of generative learning with guided teaching technique towards science process skills of students high school 7 Mataram. This research is a quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design. Population in research is all students class X of high school 7 Mataram. Sampling method is cluster random sampling, with students sample of X-E class (class experiment) and X-C class (class control). Instruments used to measure of the science process skill is a multiple-choice grounded test. The initial ability of the experimental and control classes is homogeneous, so the effect of treatment is the result of the final test. Test the hypothesis using the t-test polled variants. Improved science process skills are determined based on the N-gain test. Interesting findings from the study indicate an increase in the science process skills in both classes. This show the generative learning with guided teaching techniques were applied successfully improve science process skills.

Abstract

Research on the manufacture of composite particle board based on natural fiber: coconut fiber (SSK) and banana fiber (SBP) by using PVAc matrix has been conducted. The purpose of this research is to get the physical and mechanical value of standard on composite board based on SNI03-2105-2006The research method is by taking the comparison of banana fiber reinforcing material (SBP) and coco fiber (SSK) in the form of particle size with composition ie (a) SBP 0%: SKK 100% (b) SBP 50%: SKK 50%, (c) SBP 80%: SSK 20, (d) SBP 60%: SSK 40%, (e) SBP 40%: SSK 60%, (f) SBP 20%: SKK 80%, and (g) SBP 100%: SSK 0%.All composite boards consist of 70 % Matrix and 30% fiber. The result of physical properties for density (ρ) ranges from 0.54 gr / cm3 - 0.75 gr / cm3 and for water content (KA) ranges from 10.5% - 13.9%.As for the mechanical properties of the value of modulus rupture (MOR) ranged between 3483.44 kgf / cm2 - 7472,30 kgf / cm2 and elastic modulus value (MOE) ranged between 15981.23 kgf / cm2 - 27243,74 kgf / cm2. Based on the analysis of tredline graphs, both for physical and mechanical properties, it turns out for each composition of natural fibers to give different values.This means that the composition of the SSK-SBP mixture has an influence on the physical properties as well as the mechanical properties of the composite board. The quality of natural fiber-based composite board (SSK and SBP) both physical and mechanical properties have been in accordance with the standard reference SNI 03-02105-2006.

Abstract

Al-Zn doped SnO2 (Sn1-2xAlxZnxO2) film has been growth using the sol-gel dip coating technique. The basic materials used in this study were water, C2H5OH, SnCl2.2H2O, AlCl3 and ZnCl2 with 99% purity (merck) with doping concentration variation x = 0.000, 0.005, 0.025, and 0.050. Glass substrate with size 2.54 mm x 76.2 mm x 1 mm cleaned with detergent, soaked in 30% HCl solution For 1 day and dried at 100°C. The process of making a SnO2 sol is done by mixing the precursor with various concentrations with water and stirring using a magnetic stirrer for 30 minutes at a temperature of 80 ° C. The next step by adding ethanol, stirring at 80 ° C. for 2 hours to obtain 0.4 M sol solution The deposition of SnO2 film was carried out using a dip coater with a whitdrawl speed 12 cm/min and then heated for nucleation and grown using an electric furnace at 600 ° C for 30 minutes. This step is repeated as much as 5 repetitions to get the SnO2 film by doing Al-Zn.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the influence of a problem based learning model using rotating trio exchange strategy (RTE) towards students physics learning achievement of year XI MIA SMAN 1 Lingsar. This study is quasi experiment with Non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study was the whole students of year XI MIA SMAN 1 Lingsar of the academic year 2017/2018 whose total is 89 students. The sampling technique of the study was purposive sampling, which in turn, year XI MIA 1 treated as experimental class and year XI MIA 2 as the control class. The instrument used was a multiple choice test and observation. The multiple choice refers to the cognitive ability of the students (C1C6) which was 35 items in total which has been tested for validity, reliability, appropriateness, and the level of its difficulty have been examined. Evaluate students’ affective and psychomotoric assessments using observation sheets. Based on the result of the study it was gained that students average score of pre-test of both experimental and control class was 42 and 23, while the average score of post-test of both experimental and controlled class was 70 and 67 subsequently. The data gained has been previously examined its normality and homogeneity. It was obtained that experimental and control class was distributed normally and homogeneous. The hypothesis was examined using statistical analysis, i.e. parametric t-test polled variant with t test of both sides. It is obtained that dan diperoleh  and  on the level of significant 5%. The value of    , then  is rejected and  is accepted. The result indicated that there was positive influence of a problem based model using rotating trio exchange (RTE) strategy towards the students achievement on physics in year XI MIA of SMAN 1 Lingsar

Abstract

Red beans and VCO are  produced abundantly in Indonesia, but are not fully utilized.  In this research, red beans and VCO were processed into red beans paste product as food diversification efforts.  The objective of this research was to obtain the best formulationof VCO and lechitin addition to produce the best emultion stability and sensory characteristic the red beans paste.  The experiment was arranged in a Complete Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with one factor and four repetitions.  The treatments had 6 levels comparison of VCO and lechitin (K), that were K1 (30%:0,25%), K2 (45%:0,25%), K3 (60%:0,25%), K4 (30%:0,5%), K4 (45%:0,5%), K6 (60%:0,5%).  The data were analyzed using Barlett test to find homogenity, furthermore the Tuckey test was used to test the additivity, then  analyzed using ANOVA to test the  effect of the treatments further analyzed with Least Significant Difference (LCD) test at 5% and 1% level.  The results showed that K4 are the best formulation to produce red beans paste with the score of texture was 3,45 (somewhat like), the score of color was 3,68 (like), the score offlavor was 3,65 (like),the score of taste was 3,78 (like), the score ofspreadability was 3,38 (like), the emulsion stability was 0,247%.  The proximate analyzed of K4 resulted that the moisture, fat, carbohydrate, protein, ashes, and crude fiber contents were 30,01%, 11,57%, 50,45%,6,48%, 1,49 %, and 8,97%.Keywords: emultion stability, red bean pastes, VCO.

The purpose of this study was to identify the presence of formaldehyde in some fresh fish commodities and to trace formaldehyde distribution in Bandar Lampung City. The  formadelhyde tests were done  on the storage water of fresh fish samples. The study conducted in July to October 2013 was devided in two stages: a survey to fill out a questionnaire to a number of respondents, followed by sampling some storage water of fresh fish to be tested in the laboratory.  The tests were  carried out on 52 sampling points taken from the fishing boats in the fishing landing port (17 boats), fish supplier car from outside Bandar Lampung (6 cars) as well as some fish sellers in 5 traditional market in Bandar Lampung (29 sellers). By conducting a laboratory test using Formaldehyde Test Kit, there were 2 samples that were purple (positively contain formaldehyde), which were taken from 2 boats in fish landing port of Lempasing. Then the assertion test was carried out to the positive samples using chromotropic acid (SNI 01 – 2894 – 1992). The results showed that the samples positively contained formaldehyde indeed, which was characterized by a bluish purple color. Based on the survey results and tracking, there was a distortion of formaldehyde distribution in Bandar Lampung, where domestic industries (including fisherman) obtained formaldehyde illegally, either from End Users, a local manufacturer or drugstore/hospital/other health care facilities.
