Abstract

Rimpang jahe merah digunakan sebagai tumbuhan obat tradisional dan diketahui mengandung senyawa-senyawa berkhasiat. Dekade ini eksplorasi mikroorganisme yang bersimbiosis dengan tumbuhan obat mendapat perhatian besar guna mencari alternatif sumber senyawa berkhasiat obat. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh informasi profil kimia ekstrak Penicillium simplicissimum, jamur endofit yang diisolasi dari rhizoma jahe merah, menentukan daya hambatnya terhadap bakteri Staphyloccocus aureus dan Escherichia coli, dan mengevaluasi aktivitas sitotoksiknya terhadap sel limfoma tikus L-5178Y, sel kanker payudara (T47D dan 4T1) dan sel kanker usus (WiDr). Skrining fitokimia melalui teknik KLT dan pereaksi spesifik memperlihatkan adanya golongan senyawa alkaloid, triterpenoid, dan sterol pada ekstrak. Analisa data high-performance liquid chromatography dengan detektor photodiode array (HPLC-PDA) yang dikombinasikan dengan data LC-ESI-MS serta perbandingan data literatur memberikan dugaan bahwa salah satu komponen senyawa utama adalah citreonigrin F, yang diisolasi sebelumnya dari P. citreonigrin. Evaluasi aktivitas antibakteri menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak P. simplicissimum tidak memiliki daya hambat terhadap pertumbuhan kedua bakteri uji. Akan tetapi, ekstrak P. simplicissimum memberikan penghambatan yang lemah terhadap sel limfoma tikus L-5178Y pada konsentrasi 10 μg/mL dan aktivitas sitotoksik yang moderat terhadap sel kanker payudara dan sel kanker usus dengan IC50 >100 μg/mL. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa jamur endofit P. simplicissimum yang diisolasi dari jahe merah ini memiliki potensi untuk dieksplorasi lebih lanjut guna memperoleh senyawa berkhasiat obat.  Profiling Analysis of HPLC-PDA Combined with LC-ESI-MS and Biological Activity of an Endophytic Fungi P. Simplicissimum Extract Isolated from Red Ginger Rhizome. Red ginger rhizome has been used traditionally as a medicinal plant, and its active principal constituents have been known. In the recent decade, the exploration of endophytes in medicinal plants received huge interest in finding new bioactive compound sources. This research aims to obtain the chemical profile of an endophytic fungi P. simplicissimum extract isolated from Red ginger rhizome. This study also further evaluates its antibacterial activity against Staphyloccocus aureus and Escherichia coli and its cytotoxicity against L-5178, 4T1, T47D, and WiDr cell lines. The phytochemical screening of the extract using the TLC technique and specific reagents shows the existence of alkaloids, triterpenoids, and sterol. The further analysis using high-performance liquid chromatography with photodiode array detector (HPLC-PDA) and LC-MS/MS data, as well as literature comparison, indicated that one of the major compounds was citreonigrin F, which isolated previously from P. citreonigrin. The evaluation of antibacterial activity showed that P. simplicissimum extract did not inhibit the growth of both bacteria tested. However, P. simplicissimum extract showed a weak inhibition against L-5178Y rat lymphoma cells at a concentration of 10 μg/mL and a moderate cytotoxic activity against breast cancer cells and colon cancer cells with IC50 >100 μg/mL. Nevertheless, this study showed that P. simplicissimum isolated from red ginger could be further explored for its bioactive compounds.

Abstract

The practical activities needed in chemistry lessons. However, during the covid-19 pandemic, a suitable practical guide is needed. Therefore, a practical guide that can involve students directly in practical activities in online learning and blended learning is needed. The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of the Practical Guide for Determining Reaction Rate and Reaction Order Based on the Colorimeter® Application based on expert judgement and students’ response. This study employs a research and development (R&D) using 4D(Four-D) model, starting from define, design, develop, and dissemination stages. This research is limited to the develop stage due to the limited time and ability of the researcher. The subject of this study was a practical guide which was tested to 6 students in the initial trial and 20 students of Chemistry Education FKIP Untan in the main trial. Data collection tools used are the feasibility assessment sheets and students’ response questionnaires. The results of expert assessment using the Gregory test closeness model indicate a very feasible criteria with the validity value of 1.00 which in a very high level in terms of the feasibility of the content, language, and graphics. The result of the initial trial and main trial obtained an average percentage of 91% and 94% respectively with very good criteria. The results of this study imply that the practical guide developed is suitable for use in the practical activities. In addition, the practical guide has an attractive appearance and can be used in practical activities to support students’ understanding of reaction rates’ concepts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pelaksanaan guru dalam merancang penilain autentik pada pembelajaran aktif, dan mengetahui faktor-faktor penghambat pelaksanaan guru dalam menyusun penilaian autentik pada pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian tersebut menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan subjek penelitiannya ialah guru IPA di SMPN 2 Pontianak. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, angket atau kuisoner dan menganalisis Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) guru IPA. Dengan memvalidasi terlebih dahulu pedoman wawancara dan instrumen telaah Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) sebelum digunakan dalam penelitian yang menggunakan uji gregory. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan guru IPA SMPN 2 Pontianak dalam merancang penilaian autentik dalam pembelajaran aktif ialah masih belum baik dalam segi penilaian kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik, seperti ketidaksesuaian kompetensi dasar dengan indikator, sebagian besar guru tidak merancang rubrik penilaian. Selain itu, juga adanya faktor penghambat yang dihadapi guru karena kegiatan penilaian dilakukan secara bersamaan dengan proses kegiatan belajar, dengan jumlah siswa yang banyak sehingga pendidik kurang maksimal dalam merancang dan merealisasikan seluruh aspek penilaian autentik. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan kepada pendidik agar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dalam merancang penilaian autentik dengan membaca buku pedoman tentang pembuatan instrumen penilaian dan pelaksanaan penilaian autentik dan mengelola waktu pembelajaran dalam melakukan penilaian.

Abstract

This research is based on the results of observations of students of chemistry education class of 2020, where students have difficulty in identifying the Benedict and Seliwanoff tests because the test results are similar. This study aims to determine the feasibility level of animated video practicum instructions on carbohydrate material and to find out the response of 2020 class chemistry education students to the animated video media developed. This research is a development research with a modified 4-D model (Define, Design, Development). The subject in this study was an animated video media of practicum instructions on carbohydrate material, which was tested on chemistry education students batch 2020. The data collection instruments consisted of material validation sheets, media validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The developed media obtained material validation results with an average percentage value of 89,5% (very feasible) and material validation with an average percentage value of 92% (very feasible). The test results of the chemistry education student response test class of 2020 to the animated video developed obtained an average percentage value of 90,33% (strongly agree). Based on the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that the animated video of carbohydrate practicum instructions is very suitable to be used to overcome the problem of the concept of determining the Benedict and Seliwanoff test.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the paradigm of the online learning process, which was originally running offline. As a result, facilities and infrastructure, such as practical guidebooks used to support implementing practical activities, must adapt to online conditions. Website-based technology-assisted practicum guides are the right strategy for online learning. In addition, learning activities on the practicum guide website use a contextual approach, such as the guided inquiry method, to train students to develop their critical and scientific thinking skills. However, the reality on the ground shows that the practicum guide used is not website-based, so it has not been able to support learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the learning model used has not used the guided inquiry method. This study aims to develop a guided inquiry-based biochemical practicum guide website on starch identification material and determine the feasibility of the website as well as student and lecturer responses to the developed website. This research is development research using the Borg and Gall model. Their research stages consist of needs analysis, planning, product draft development, initial field trials, revisions, field trials, and revisions. The practicum guide website was validated by 11 experts consisting of 2 language experts and three experts in IT, materials, and guided inquiry learning. They collect feasibility data and student and lecturer responses using indirect communication assisted by questionnaires. The feasibility test results of linguistics, IT, inquiry learning, and material experts obtained percentages of 88.3%, 85.5%, 90.5%, and 91.1%, respectively. All aspects show a very decent category. Student responses at the initial field test stage, main field, and lecturer were 85.7%, 88.3%, and 90%, respectively. All aspects of the feasibility test, student and lecturer responses are in the very feasible category. The results of this study indicate that the guided inquiry-based biochemical practicum guide website on starch identification material is very feasible to use. This practicum guide website is expected to help carry out a biochemistry practicum during the COVID-19 pandemic and improve students' thinking skills

Abstract

Rendahnya motivasi belajar dapat mempengaruhi keterampilan berpikir peserta didik, khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPA. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah menggunakan model pembelajaran dan mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis teknologi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi saat proses belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk, respon guru dan peserta didik terhadap pengembangan E-modul Flipbook IPA Berbasis Problem Based Learning pada Materi Pencemaran Lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah R&D (Reseach & Development) dengan model pengembangan 4D (four-D Models), terdiri dari tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Penelitian ini dibatasi sampai tahap develop. Data yang diperoleh adalah data kuantitatif dan kualitatif untuk mengetahui  hasil validasi pada aspek isi, bahasa dan kegrafikan masing-masing k=1,00 dengan kategori sangat valid. Uji respon guru dan peserta didik terhadap tampilan E-modul memperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 93,75% dan 86,41% dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa  E-modul yang dihasilkan layak dan siap digunakan untuk pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

Synthetic acid-base indicators possess some disadvantages. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a natural acid-base indicator made from a mixture of plant extracts, which has a strip form, is safe, eco-friendly, has a wide pH range, and has clear color changing. This research aims to determine the pH range, make a pH indicator in the strip form, and produce a biodegradable acid-base indicator made from a mixture of Melastoma malabathricum flower, Dioscorea alata rhizome, Syzygium paniculatum leaves, Garcinia fruit peel, Eleutherine bulbosa rhizome extracts. Plant extracts were obtained using the maceration method. pH range was evaluated using the visual method by sensing the color changing in the pH range from 1 to 14. pH indicator strip was made by applying filter paper in the strip form into the extract mixture for 2 hours. The biodegradable property of acid-base indicator strips was established by measuring indicator strip degradation after planting it in the ground for 20 days at room temperature. The results showed that the acid-base indicator strip made from a mixture of plant extracts was able to give a color change from pink to light green in the pH range of 3-8 and can be decomposed completely after planting it in the ground for 20 days. Thus, it indicated that a natural pH indicator strip based on West Kalimantan plants has the potential to be developed as a safe and effective acid-base indicator to substitute synthetic acid-base indicators.

Abstract

Guru di SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak telah mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran seperti yang dianjurkan oleh Kurikulum 2013 yaitu discovery learning dan problem based learning. Namun, sampai saat ini belum adanya data tentang kemampuan guru dalam merancang kegiatan pembelajaran aktif dengan model pembelajaran, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian ini. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yakni mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru dalam merancang kegiatan pembelajaran aktif dengan model discovery learning dan problem based learning, serta mendeskripsikan kesulitan yang dihadapi. Penelitian deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus merupakan metode penelitian yang digunakan, dengan melibatkan 5 orang guru IPA sebagai subjek penelitian. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi telaah RPP dengan model discovery learning dan problem based learning, dan wawancara. Kemampuan guru dalam merancang kegiatan pembelajaran aktif dengan model pembelajaran discovery learning dan probem based learning secara berurutan memperoleh nilai rata-rata 90,12 dan 90,00 yang tergolong baik. Adapun kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh guru yakni mendeskripsikan kegiatan inti dalam tiap tahapan model pembelajaran yang digunakan secara detail

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk e-modul berbasis Problem Based Learning yang layak digunakan, mengetahui respon guru dan peserta didik terhadap produk yang dikembangkan. Metode yang diterapkan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang mengacu pada model ADDIE yang dibatasi sampai tahap development. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu e-modul berbasis Problem Based Learning pada materi zat adiktif yang diujikan kepada 3 orang guru IPA, dan peserta didik kelas VIII D dan VIII E SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya. Subjek uji coba kelompok kecil dan besar masing-masing terdiri dari 6 dan 24 peserta didik. Lembar penilaian kelayakan, angket respon guru, dan angket respon peserta didik digunakan sebagai alat pengumpul data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase kelayakan materi, kegrafikan, dan kebahasaan secara berturut-turut adalah 93,8%, 98,9%, dan 96,4%. Hasil uji coba respon guru dinyatakan bahwa e-modul sangat baik dengan persentase 93,2%. Perhitungan persentase angket respon peserta didik sebesar 84,2% yang dinyatakan sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, e-modul berbasis Problem Based Learning pada materi zat adiktif yang dikembangkan sangat layak dan mendapat respon sangat baik dari guru dan peserta didik.

Abstract

Lembar kerja peserta didik merupakan salah satu unit pembelajaran yang sangat diperlukan khususnya dalam pembelajaran IPA. Adapun LKPD yang dimanfaatkan oleh sekolah selama ini belum kondisional. Oleh karena itu,diperlukan LKPD yang akrab dengan lingkungan peserta didik sehingga perlu adanya LKPD berbasis kearifan Lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kelayakan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis kearifan lokal yang digunakan pada pembelajaran IPA dan menentukan respon peserta didik terhadap LKPD berbasis kearifan lokal pada  materi bioteknologi di SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangaan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ini yaitu model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahap (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Model ADDIE yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu analisis, desain, dan pengembangan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis kearifan lokal pada materi bioteknologi. Penilian media ini mendapatkan persentase rata-rata setiap aspeknya yaitu aspek grafika 97%, aspek Bahasa 94%, dan aspek materi 91% yang menunjukan bahwa media LKPD sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran
