Abstract

AbstractGraphic organizer strategy is a strategy commonly used in reading class to improve students’ understanding toward texts. This strategy has been deemed as effective across level of students and schools. Yet previous studies on graphic organizer has exclusively brought this strategy in to the classroom on the basis of individual work. Little is known how teachers may as well experience success if they combine the strategy with a collaborative learning model. Addressing this gap this study examined the effects of graphic organizer strategy when it is combined with a collaborative learning model called jigsaw activity on behavior and student’s understanding on text. The participant of this study were thirty tenth-grade students of Audio-Video Technique Class in SMKN 2 Pontianak in academic year 2017/2018. From the data which was collected both qualitatively and quantitatively it can be concluded that there were improvement on  students’ behavior indicated by they were being active and collaborative  during the implementation of the strategy in the classroom. The result of reading test  also suggested that the students’ achievement on reading comprehension improved after they made use graphic organizer as concept map activities during reading. Keywords : Graphic Organizer, Jigsaw Activity, Reading Comprehension, Student’s Behavior

Abstract

                         AbstractThis research aimed to determine and describe the reasoning and argumentation abilities of students in solving PISA on change and relationship content studied based on learning styles in SMP Negeri 10 Pontianak. The research method use descriptive method with case studies. The subjects in this study were six students from all learning styles. The results of data analysis show that reasoning and argumentation abilities vary depending on their learning styles. Students who have a kinesthetic learning style have low reasoning and argumentation abilities in solving PISA because they are only able to achieve one of the three indicators perfectly. Students who have a visual learning style have reasoning and argumentation abilities in solving PISA quite well because they are able to achieve two of the three indicators perfectly. Students who have an auditory learning style have very low reasoning and argumentation abilities in solving PISA because they are unable to achieve all three indicators perfectly.Keywords: Reasoning and Argumentation Abilities, PISA, Learning Style

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tingkat kecemasan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas X MIA Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 8 Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode non-eksperimen (ex-post facto). Sampel dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas X MIA 3 yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan matematika memberikan pengaruh yang negatif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam matematika yang ditunjukkan dengan rerata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan tingkat kecemasan ringan/rendah sebesar 57,14, rerata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan tingkat kecemasan sedang sebesar 31,43, dan rerata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan tingkat kecemasan berat/tinggi sebesar 23,33. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat kecemasan siswa maka semakin rendah kemampuan berpikir kritisnya. Kata kunci: Berpikir Kritis, Tingkat Kecemasan Matematika   Abstract: This research aims to find out how anxiety level affects on students of class X MIA 3 Senior High School 8 Pontianak in their critical thinking ability in learning mathematics. The research used non-experiment method (ex-post facto). The sample of this research were 30 students of class X MIA 3 Senior High School 8 Pontianak. The result of this research showed that math anxiety gave negative effect on students’ critical thinking ability where the average of critical thinking ability of students with light/low category of math anxiety was 57.14, 31.43 in intermediate category, and 23.33 in heavy/high category. So it could be concluded that as math anxiety level increase, the critical thinking ability will decrease respectively. Keywords: Critical Thinking, Math Anxiety Level

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode penemuan terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar materi balok siswa kelas VIII SMPK Abdi Wacana Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian berbentuk Control Group Only Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 20 siswa kelas VIIIA dan 20 siswa kelas VIIIB. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik pengukuran dengan instrumen berupa tes tertulis berbentuk uraian yang terdiri dari 5 butir soal. Rata-rata tes hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen 71,50 dan kelas kontrol 62,13, yang menunjukan terdapat perbedaan rata-rata secara empiris. Berdasarkan uji-t dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 yang dianalisis menggunakan SPSS17 diperoleh nilai uji-t 0,037, sehingga hipotesis nol ditolak yang artinya perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar antara siswa kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas kontrol signifikan. Effect Size sebesar 0,60 yang berarti pembelajaran metode penemuan terbimbing memberikan pengaruh yang sedang terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi balok di kelas VIII. Kata kunci : Metode Penemuan Terbimbing, Hasil Belajar, Metode Ceramah     Abstract: This research aims to determine the effect of the method guided discovery of the learning result subject rectangular solid students class VIII SMPK Abdi Wacana Pontianak. The method used is a quasi experiment with the design of the study is Control Group Only Posttest Design. The sample 20 students of class VIIIA and 20 students of class VIIIB. Data collection techniques is the measurement techniques with instruments in the form of written test- shaped essay which consists of 5 questions. Average of the test student learning result experimental class 72,50 and control class 62,13, which show there are average difference empirically. Based on t-test with a significance level of 0.05, which analyzed using SPSS17 t-test value 0,037, so that the null hypothesis is rejected, which means average differences learning result between students experimental class and control class significant. Effect size was 0.60, which means learning methods guided discovery give the medium effect to student learning result on the subject rectangular solid in Class VIII. Abstract

AbstractThis quasi experiment research aimed to know the effect of realistic mathematic education approach to student’s conceptual understanding and problem solving ability in linear inequality of one variable subject. There were two class as samples of this research, there were experiment class and control class. Experiment class had 37 students and control class had 38 students. Based on result of Independent Samples T Test, the signifficant score was 0,0000. The score showed that there was difference of average score between realistic mathematic education approach and conventional approach to student’s conceptual understanding and problem solving ability. So that the effect size’s score of conceptual underpstanding was 0,78 and categorized as medium. Then, the effect size’s score of problem solving ability was 0,73 and categorized as medium. Based on these result, we can conclude there was more positive effect to student’s conceptual understanding and problem solving ability using realistic mathematic education approach in linear inequality of one variable subject than conventional approach.Keyword :Realistic Mathematich Education, conceptual understanding, problem solvng.

Abstract

Judul penelitian ini adalah Wawancara Klinis Berbasis Scaffolding Berbantuan LKS Menggunakan Multi Representasi Pada Penjumlahan Pecahan Di SMP. Penelitian bertujuan mengungkap dampak wawancara klinis berbasis scaffolding berbantuan LKS menggunakan multi representasi di kelas VII D SMP Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Kubu Raya dalam mengatasi kesulitan siswa pada penjumlahan pecahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah 4 orang siswa kelas VII D SMP Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Kubu Raya yang mengalami kesulitan pada penjumlahan pecahan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa setelah diberikan wawancara klinis, setiap subjek penelitian mendapat nilai di atas standar KKM ( 60), kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan dalam menyelesaikan soal pre test dapat diminimalisir (dilihat dari hasil post test) dan waktu yang diperlukan masing-masing subjek penelitian untuk memahami konsep pecahan kurang dari waktu yang ditentukan (90 menit). Kata kunci : Wawancara Klinis, scaffolding, multi representasi Abstract : The title of this research is clinical interview based scaffolding with worksheets-assisted using multiple representations of the sum of fractions in junior high school. The study aims to reveal the impact of a clinical interview-based scaffolding with worksheet-assisted using multiple representation in class VII D Kemala Bhayangkari 1 junior high school Kubu Raya in overcoming the students difficulties on fractional summation. The research method used in descriptive with the form of case study research. Subjects were students of class VII D Kemala Bhayangkari 1 junior high school Kubu Raya who have difficulty in summing fractions. The results of data analysis showed that after being given a clinical interview, all study subject scored above the standard KKM ( 60), junior high school the mistakes made in completing the pre test problem can be minimized (as seen from the post test) and the time required for each research subject to understand the concept of fractions less than a specified time (90 minutes). Abstract

AbstractThis research is aimed to determine the effect of Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model type on SPLTV material to the mathematical communication ability of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak. The form of this research is quasi experiment with posttest only control group design. The technique to be used is measurement techniques via written tests in the form of essays. The result of data analysis obtained from the students? mean score, the students? mean score of mathematical communication ability test of experiment class was 55,29 and the students? mean score of mathematical communication ability test of control class was 38,10. From the results of t test calculations, obtained tcount > ttable or 3.83 > 1.99 thus the students? mathematical communication ability with Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning type significantly higher than students with conventional learning. Based on the effect size, the effect size score was 0.94, so the contribution of Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model type is included in the high criteria. Based on these data it can be concluded that Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning type effect on the students? mathematical communication ability in SPLTV material in X grade students of SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak. Keywords:  Two Stay Two Stray Cooperative Type, Mathematical Communication Ability, SPLTV

Abstract

 AbstractThis reseach aims to determine the student’s conceptual understanding on the material of space build was viewed from the analogy reasoning ability in class IX SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. Method used was descriptive in form case study. The subjects were 34 students. Data collector in this research use student answer sheet and interview result. The results showed that students with high, medium and low analogy reasoning ability level tend to had medium conceptual understanding categories. In general it can be concluded that the conceptual understanding of the students of class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya varies for each level of analogy reasoning ability. Students with high analogy reasoning ability level do not always have high conceptual categories of understanding, students with medium analogy reasoning ability levels do not always have medium conceptual understanding categories, and students with low analogy reasoning ability level do not always have low conceptual understanding categories. Keywords: Conceptual Understanding, Analogy reasoning ability, Space Build.

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dikaji dari tingkat disposisi matematis pada materi Program Linear di Kelas XII MAN 1 Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 37 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan disposisi matematis tinggi memiliki rata-rata skor berpikir kreatif secara keseluruhan sebesar 9,6 dengan kategori baik; siswa dengan disposisi matematis sedang memiliki rata-rata skor berpikir kreatif secara keseluruhan sebesar 6,4 dengan kategori cukup; dan siswa dengan disposisi matematis rendah memiliki rata-rata skor berpikir kreatif secara keseluruhan sebesar 3,4 dengan kategori kurang. Secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan disposisi matematis dalam materi Program Linear di kelas XII MAN 1 Pontianak.   Kata Kunci: Berpikir Kreatif Matematis, Disposisi Matematis, Program Linear Abstract : This research aims to describe how mathematical creative thinking skill of students observed from level of mathematical disposition on linear program material in class XII MAN 1 Pontianak. The method of study used in this study is descriptive method with the design of case study. The subject of the study were 37 students. The findings showed that the students with high level of mathematical disposition had the average of score of mathematical creative thinking skill, as big as 9,6 for the overall and were categorized as good. The students with medium level had the average of mathematical creative thinking skill score as much as 3,4, and were categorized as fair. Entirely, it can be concluded that there is a correlation between mathematical creative thinking skill and mathematical disposition on linear program material in class XII MAN 1 Pontianak.   Keywords: Mathematical Creative Thinking, Mathematical Disposition, Linear Program Material

Abstract

Students as learner must be active looking for knowledge that needed from any resources. Lecture is not primary knowledge resources. In Student Centered Learning, lecture have role as learning facilitator. Learning in laboratory for skill practice with demonstration method need more time and lecture. The objective is to know the difference student’s skill in infuse administration with use demonstration method learning and audiovisual aid. Research design used quasi experiment. Subject research divided two groups. One group used demonstration method learning and the other used audiovisual aid, than skill infuse administration was evaluated. The population is student Yakpermas Nursing Academy in second semester. Sampling technical used simple random sampling. Analysis used Mann Whitney U test. The result : student skill in infuse administration used demonstration method are 25% poor, 50% good, 25% very good, student skill used audiovisual aid are 34,78% poor, 43,48% good, 21,74% very good and p value of two methods difference is 0,423. Conclusion: there is no significant different student’s skill infuse administration use demonstration method learning and use audiovisual aid.
