Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of emotional intelligence on the ability to memorize the Qur'an in students at the Darul Aman Gombara Islamic Boarding School in Makassar. Based on the results of descriptive analysis and statistical tests, it was found that emotional intelligence has a significant influence on memorization ability. The average emotional intelligence score of 68.7 and memorization ability of 63.1 indicate that although the level of emotional intelligence of students is relatively good, their memorization ability is still below it. The regression analysis yielded a correlation coefficient value (R) of 0.474, indicating a moderate relationship between the two variables, and an R-Square value of 0.225 indicating a contribution of emotional intelligence of 22.5% to memorization ability. In addition, the ANOVA test results showed a significance of 0.000, which means the relationship between emotional intelligence and memorization ability is statistically significant. The calculated F-value of 15.345 also supports the validity of the regression model used. These findings confirm the importance of developing emotional aspects in the tahfidz learning process. Emotional coaching that includes emotional management, self-motivation, and spiritual resilience has been shown to contribute to successful Qur'an memorization. Thus, pesantren are expected not only to focus on the technical aspects of memorization, but also to integrate learning strategies that support the balance between students' cognitive and emotional abilities. This holistic approach is believed to be able to improve the quality of memorization more optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

ATM cards remain a primary means of banking transactions, despite the continued development of digital services. However, operational issues such as ATM cards being swallowed by the machine remain common and are generally handled through inefficient manual procedures that require customers to visit the bank in person. This study aims to develop an Android-based information system for reporting ATM card swappings to improve the efficiency, accessibility, and quality of banking services. The system development method used is the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The resulting system is designed to enable customers to report online, enabling faster handling by customer service without face-to-face interaction. Test results from the black-box testing method indicate that all system features operate according to established specifications and remain stable and functional. The implementation of this system has been proven to increase service response speed, simplify the reporting process, and reduce dependence on conventional procedures. This research contributes to the development of an integrated, real-time, mobile-based complaint service model for banking information systems. In addition, this research also strengthens the role of mobile technology as an enabler in the digital transformation of public services. Thus, the proposed system has the potential to be an effective and adaptive solution in improving service quality and customer satisfaction in the digital era.

Abstract

Sharia insurance (takaful) is a Sharia-compliant financial protection system that operates on the principles of mutual assistance (ta‘āwun) and the tabarru’ (donation-based) contract, offering an ethical alternative to conventional insurance. This study was motivated by the growing interest in Sharia insurance among Indonesian Muslims seeking financial solutions aligned with Islamic law. The research aims to explore the concept of Sharia insurance from the perspective of contemporary muamalah (Islamic commercial transactions) and to analyze scholarly views regarding its legal permissibility. Utilizing a qualitative library research method, data were sourced from scientific journals, books, and relevant Islamic legal references. The findings indicate that takaful is permissible within Islamic jurisprudence when based on social contracts that avoid elements prohibited in Islamic finance, such as riba (usury), maysir (gambling), and gharar (excessive uncertainty). While some differences in scholarly opinion exist, there is broad consensus that takaful reflects a non-commercial, cooperative model consistent with Islamic ethical values. The study concludes that Sharia insurance holds strong potential as a legitimate and socially responsible protection system under Islamic law, but its broader acceptance depends on enhanced regulatory frameworks, public education, and the development of more accessible and diverse products.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in education demands learning innovations that can increase student engagement and understanding. This community service activity aims to implement Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media to improve the quality of learning at Hang Tuah Senior High School, Makassar. The method used is a collaborative, participatory approach that follows the stages of needs identification, media development, training, implementation, and evaluation. AR media allows students to interact with three-dimensional objects, creating a more interactive and contextual learning experience. The results of the activity show an increase in student learning outcomes, with the average score rising from 54.43 to 83.36 and a gain of 0.65, which falls within the high category. In addition, there was an increase in student engagement and motivation to learn, as well as in teacher competence in integrating technology into learning. Despite obstacles such as limited devices and internet connectivity, the implemented adaptive strategy supported the program's success. The use of AR has the potential to be an innovative solution in supporting interactive and sustainable learning in the digital era. This research provides a practical contribution to the application of Augmented Reality-based learning in secondary education.

Abstract

The development of Islamic banking in Indonesia has led to various sharia-based financial products, one of which is the Hajj bailout fund. This product serves as a solution for Muslims who wish to perform the pilgrimage but are constrained by the initial deposit requirement. This study aims to analyze the Hajj bailout contract from a fiqh muamalah perspective, reviewing its compliance with sharia principles and DSN-MUI Fatwa No. 29/DSN-MUI/VI/2002. The method used is a literature study by analyzing academic sources from journals, books, and related fatwas. The results show that the qardh wal ijarah contract is permissible as long as no additional benefits resembling riba are included and administrative fees only cover real costs. From the perspective of maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah, the Hajj bailout provides benefits by facilitating Muslims to perform the fifth pillar of Islam, but it must be maintained to avoid potential harm from excessive debt burdensy. Abstract

Religious moderation is a fundamental concept in Islamic teachings that prioritizes the principles of balance, justice and tolerance, both in religious and social life. In facing the challenges of globalization and the dynamics of modern times such as radicalism, gender inequality, human rights violations, and environmental crises, a moderate approach to religion is an important strategy in maintaining harmony, harmony, and diversity. This research aims to explore the relevance of religious moderation in the contemporary social context by highlighting the importance of reinterpreting Islamic teachings based on the values of gender justice, respect for human rights, and rejection of all forms of violence in the name of religion. Through a study of contemporary Islamic thought and the maqashid sharia approach (the main purpose of sharia), this study reveals that religious moderation can be used as a foundation in the formation of character education, the development of inclusive public policies, and the strengthening of constructive interfaith dialog. This approach not only plays a role in overcoming social polarization, but also in building a just, equal and sustainable society. Thus, religious moderation in Islam is not just a middle-of-the-road attitude, but an active commitment to the values of civilization, social justice and peace. The findings of this study confirm that a moderate and contextualized Islam is able to contribute to a just and sustainable society.
