Abstract

Indonesia adalah negara yang kaya akan keragaman budaya, suku, dan agama. Namun, keberagaman ini juga menghadirkan tantangan, seperti potensi terjadinya konflik antarbudaya. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, pendidikan multikultural menjadi solusi penting dalam menanamkan nilai toleransi dan penghargaan terhadap perbedaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Instagram untuk meningkatkan pemahaman multikultural di Pesantren Mawaridussalam. Pengembangan media ini menggunakan model 4D, yang mencakup empat tahapan: Define (Pendefinisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan), dan Disseminate (Penyebaran). Penelitian melibatkan 31 siswa kelas X IPS sebagai populasi, dengan 5 siswa dipilih sebagai sampel uji coba terbatas menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, angket, dan validasi ahli, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis Instagram memiliki tingkat kelayakan yang sangat tinggi, dengan rata-rata penilaian 95,86%. Media ini juga dinilai sangat praktis dengan skor rata-rata 90,68%, serta efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman multikultural siswa dengan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,58, yang termasuk dalam kategori efektif. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan Instagram sebagai media pembelajaran multikultural terbukti mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap keberagaman budaya. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga memperlihatkan bagaimana teknologi dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal untuk mendukung pendidikan berbasis nilai-nilai multikultural.

Abstract

Media is the main factor that supports the success of learning. The use of monotonous media and limited lesson time makes learning less effective. This study aims to (1) Analyze the process of developing website-based media in learning Al-Qur'an Hadith class XI, (2) Test the feasibility of website-based media, and (3) Analyze the effectiveness of the media. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The focus of this research is class XI MAS Nurul Hadina Patumbak consisting of 30 students. Data were collected using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that the development of website-based media has successfully increased the effectiveness of learning Al-Qur'an Hadith with excellent validity from material experts, IT experts, and learning practitioners. Field trials showed the level of media effectiveness with an average percentage of 91.01%, which is included in the very good category.

Abstract

The digital era presents significant challenges in managerial and leadership practices, where leaders are not only required to possess technical skills but also the ability to think critically and ethically. Digital transformation impacts decision-making within organizations, with technologies like artificial intelligence and big data often raising moral dilemmas. Therefore, critical thinking and ethical leadership become essential foundations for guiding decisions that consider social and moral implications. Critical thinking in management encompasses not only data analysis and strategy effectiveness but also the ability to evaluate the moral consequences of each decision. Meanwhile, ethical leadership focuses on moral responsibility, transparency, and social justice. This study aims to develop a conceptual model linking critical thinking and ethical leadership through a qualitative-descriptive approach with a conceptual literature study. It is expected that this research will contribute to value-based leadership theory and provide guidance for leaders in the digital era to apply ethical principles in management. Through the "Critical-Ethical Leadership Framework (CELF)" model, this research offers insights into how leadership can better focus on human values while helping organizations adapt to technology in an ethical manner.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) develop a web-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning evaluation instrument at the UPT SMP Negeri 1 Laut Tador using the ADDIE development model; (2) determine the instrument's validity based on expert assessments; (3) determine the instrument's practicality based on teacher and student responses; and (4) determine the instrument's effectiveness in improving the quality of PAI learning evaluation. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study using the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects consisted of material experts, media experts, evaluation experts, PAI teachers, and students at UPT SMP Negeri 1 Laut Tador. Data collection techniques used expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively using a percentage formula to determine the product's feasibility category. The results indicate that the developed web-based PAI evaluation instrument is categorized as highly valid based on assessments by material experts, media experts, and evaluation experts. Teacher and student responses indicate a highly practical category, making the instrument easy to use in the learning evaluation process. Furthermore, the effectiveness test results demonstrated that the use of web-based instruments increased student engagement and provided more objective, faster, and more efficient evaluation results compared to conventional evaluations. Thus, the developed web-based Islamic Religious Education evaluation instrument was deemed feasible, practical, and effective for use in supporting the Islamic Religious Education learning evaluation process at the UPT SMP Negeri 1 Laut Tador.

Abstract

AbtrakKesehatan mental peserta didik menjadi isu penting dalam pendidikan karena tekanan akademik, paparan digital, dinamika relasi sosial, dan perubahan perkembangan dapat memengaruhi keterlibatan, kesejahteraan, serta kebermaknaan belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan konseptual antara kesehatan mental, kecerdasan emosional, dan Pendidikan Islam serta merumuskan implikasi pedagogis yang dapat diterapkan guru tanpa mengambil alih peran tenaga kesehatan mental profesional. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain tinjauan literatur integratif terhadap artikel jurnal, buku akademik, bab buku, dan laporan lembaga kredibel yang diterbitkan pada 2016–2026. Literatur ditelusuri melalui kata kunci kesehatan mental, kecerdasan emosional, pembelajaran sosial-emosional, psikologi Islam, kesejahteraan psikologis, dan Pendidikan Islam. Sumber diseleksi berdasarkan relevansi, kredibilitas, ketersediaan teks lengkap, serta keterkaitannya dengan peserta didik, pendidik, kurikulum, dan proses pembelajaran. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis isi kualitatif dan analisis tematik melalui pengodean, pengelompokan kategori, penentuan tema, peninjauan tema, dan sintesis konseptual. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kesehatan mental tidak hanya berarti ketiadaan gangguan, tetapi mencakup kemampuan mengenali emosi, mengelola tekanan, membangun relasi sehat, belajar secara produktif, dan menemukan makna hidup. Kecerdasan emosional berfungsi sebagai mekanisme protektif dan pedagogis melalui kesadaran diri, pengaturan diri, empati, keterampilan relasional, dan pengambilan keputusan bertanggung jawab. Dalam Pendidikan Islam, kompetensi tersebut memperoleh orientasi etik-spiritual melalui muhasabah, sabar, rahmah, amanah, tawakal, dan adab. Penelitian ini menawarkan kerangka integratif berupa pemeriksaan emosi, refleksi nilai, latihan regulasi emosi, dialog empatik, pembelajaran kolaboratif, penciptaan kelas aman, dan sistem rujukan profesional. Integrasi ini mendukung pembelajaran yang humanis, religius, inklusif, dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan psikologis peserta didik serta memperkuat perkembangan intelektual, sosial, moral, dan spiritual mereka.Kata kunci: Kesehatan Mental; Kecerdasan Emosional; Pendidikan Islam; Pembelajaran; Pedagogi HumanisAbstractStudents’ mental health has become an educational concern because academic pressure, digital exposure, social relationships, and developmental transitions can affect engagement, well-being, and learning. This study aims to analyze the relationship between mental health, emotional intelligence, and Islamic education and to formulate pedagogical implications that teachers can apply without assuming the clinical role of mental health professionals. The study employs a qualitative approach using an integrative literature review of journal articles, academic books, book chapters, and reports published by institutions between 2016 and 2026. Literature was identified through keywords related to mental health, emotional intelligence, social-emotional learning, Islamic psychology, psychological well-being, and Islamic education. Sources were selected according to relevance, credibility, full-text availability, and their connection to students, teachers, curricula, and learning processes. Data were analyzed through content analysis and thematic analysis involving coding, category development, theme identification, theme review, and conceptual synthesis. The findings indicate that mental health in education should not be understood merely as the absence of disorders, but as the capacity to recognize emotions, manage pressure, establish healthy relationships, learn productively, and construct meaning. Emotional intelligence functions as a protective and pedagogical mechanism through self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Within Islamic education, these competencies gain ethical and spiritual direction through muhasabah, patience, compassion, trustworthiness, reliance on God, and adab. The study proposes an integrative framework encompassing emotional check-ins, value reflection, emotion-regulation exercises, empathetic dialogue, collaborative learning, safe classrooms, and professional referral systems. Abstract

This study is grounded in the recognition that effective parenting should not only fulfill children’s physical and emotional needs but also instill religious values and moral virtues as the foundation of character formation. Prophetic parenting represents an educational concept inspired by the nurturing methods and exemplary character of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), emphasizing spiritual, emotional, and moral development through compassion, justice, and a humane approach. The purpose of this research is to explore the process of internalizing Islamic values through the implementation of prophetic parenting within orphanage settings, focusing on Darul Aitam Orphanage and Al Washliyah Ismailiyah Orphanage in Medan, Indonesia. This study employs a qualitative multi-site design to obtain an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon across different contexts. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively using data reduction, data display, and conclusion-drawing techniques. The findings reveal that both orphanages implement prophetic parenting through caregivers’ exemplary conduct, support for children’s potential, fairness in fulfilling their needs, gradual educational guidance, and the reinforcement of religious observance. These practices foster children’s discipline in worship, learning motivation, empathy, and emotional stability. The study concludes that prophetic parenting contributes positively to the development of children’s character and spiritual growth, although challenges remain regarding resource limitations and the diversity of children’s backgrounds.

Abstract

The moral crisis among Indonesia’s young generation indicates that educational policies such as Strengthening Character Education (PPK) and the Independent Curriculum have not been fully effective in shaping students’ character. This condition underscores the urgency of reinforcing moral and spiritual values within the education system. This study aims to (1) describe the biography and educational thought of Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali, (2) analyze the concept of character education in Ayyuha al-Walad, and (3) examine its relevance to character education in Indonesia. Using a qualitative descriptive method with a library research approach and Krippendorff’s content analysis model, this study draws primary data from Ayyuha al-Walad and secondary data from al-Ghazali’s other works and supporting literature. The findings reveal that Ayyuha al-Walad encompasses key character values such as religiosity, honesty, perseverance, tolerance, independence, curiosity, appreciation of achievement, love of peace, responsibility, and social concern. These values are internalized through exemplary behavior, habituation, moral advice, and spiritual purification (tazkiyatun nafs). They align with Indonesia’s five pillars of national character education: religiosity, independence, mutual cooperation, integrity, and nationalism. Conceptually, al-Ghazali’s thought provides a philosophical and spiritual foundation for strengthening character education in Indonesia. The integration of moral and spiritual values into the curriculum can foster a generation that is intellectually capable, ethically grounded, and noble in character-consistent with the goals of national education.

Abstract

This study examines students’ reception of celebrity ustaz preaching on YouTube in relation to moderate Islamic education and interreligious tolerance. The study focuses on how Ustaz Abdul Somad, Ustaz Adi Hidayat, and Habib Husein Ja’far Al Hadar construct messages of moderation and tolerance, as well as how UINSU students interpret these messages as active digital audiences. This research employed a qualitative approach with a netnographic method. Data were collected through observation of selected YouTube preaching content, semi-structured interviews with eight students from Islamic-based faculties at UINSU, and documentation of relevant digital materials. Data were analyzed through coding, thematic categorization, and netnographic interpretation by connecting digital content with students’ offline religious experiences. The findings show that the three celebrity ustaz construct moderate Islamic education and tolerance messages through normative-ethical, educational-argumentative, and dialogical-inclusive communication patterns. The novelty of this study lies in its integration of digital da’wah content analysis and students’ audience reception, showing that YouTube functions not only as a preaching medium but also as a space for shaping students’ religious understanding, digital religious literacy, and interreligious tolerance.

Abstract

This study explores the development of philosophy and science in Ancient Greece through a historical approach, highlighting the contributions of philosophers such as Thales, Pythagoras, Plato, and Aristotle in shaping the foundations of rational thought and scientific methodology. The research identifies how Greek philosophy laid the groundwork for scientific traditions by integrating metaphysical speculation with empirical observation. Furthermore, it examines the interaction between philosophical thought and scientific inquiry in fields such as cosmology, mathematics, and biology, which significantly influenced the progress of modern science. Employing a library research method, this study analyzes classical sources and modern literature to reveal how Ancient Greek philosophy and science became a critical foundation for the intellectual evolution of human civilization. The findings demonstrate the relevance of Ancient Greek thought in the context of contemporary knowledge development, particularly in strengthening rational and interdisciplinary approaches across various disciplines.

Abstract

The work of an educator is highly respected because it does more than impart knowledge; it is about guiding individuals to become individuals who are beneficial to themselves, their families and society. For a Muslim, noble character according to the teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith is his characteristic, especially in the context of Islamic education where educators are referred to by various terms that describe their role as mentors, teachers, moral shapers and guides.
