Abstract

This study explores the application of Augmented Reality (AR) technology as a tool to enhance environmental vocabulary learning and improve the speaking skills of tourism employees in Sumbawa. Given the importance of English proficiency in the tourism industry, many employees face challenges in mastering vocabulary and effective communication. Adopting a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with 16 employees from four tourism sites. The findings indicate that 87.5% of respondents believe AR significantly aids vocabulary expansion, with 75% reporting increased confidence in speaking English. Additionally, 62.5% see AR as relevant to their professional needs, while 50% find it helpful in understanding environmental terminology. Despite these benefits, some challenges remain, including limited access to AR devices and the absence of real-time feedback. The study concludes that AR has substantial potential to enhance language learning by improving vocabulary retention and speaking proficiency. Moreover, integrating AR into tourism training programs could further support employees in developing essential language skills for their professional growth.

Abstract

The purpose of study is to investigate the effect of flipped classroom on students reading comprehension at SMA Negeri 1 Wawotobi. This study employed a pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test design without control group for quantitative approach. The population of this research was the entire XI IPS 2 students’ of SMAN 1 Wawotobi who enrolled in academic year 2021/2022. The data were obtained from students’ pre-test and posttest scores. The pre-test was given before the treatment applied and the posttest is given after the treatment finished. Results of the study found that there was a significant positive effect of flipped classroom on students’ reading comprehension, p (.000) 0.05 with the effect size was 3.57. In light of all these findings, flipped classroom significantly affected students’ reading comprehension.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan Gurita Kata berbasis karakter pada materi menulis puisi di kelas IV SD. Selain menguatkan materi menulis puisi juga disisipkan nilai-nilai karakter agar hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa lengkap dan utuh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode penelitian pengembangan. Desian penelitian yang digunakan yaitu desain pengembangan model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian  yaitu 2 dosen ahli media, 1 dosen ahli materi, 1 orang guru kelas IV, dan 9 siswa kelas IV SD. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas angket ahli media, materi, serta angket kelayakan pengguna. Data yang dikumpulkan yaitu nilai kelayakaan dari ahli dan pengguna serta saran sebagai masukan media Gurita Kata yang dikembangkan. Hasil uji kelayakan dua ahli media pembelajaran, satu ahli materi kebahasaan SD serta seorang praktisi menunjukkan bahwa media Gurita Kata yang dikembangkan layak dari segi ahli media, materi, dan praktisi. Selain uji kelayakan kepada ahli, media Gurita Kata juga diujicobakan kepada sembilan siswa kelas IV dari SDN 3 Cakranegara. Respons siswa menunjukkan media yang dikembangkan sangat layak dari segi tampilan maupun isi materi. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan diperoleh simpulan bahwa media gurita untuk siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar sangat layak digunakan dalam membelajarkan menulis puisi untuk siswa kelas IV SD.

Abstract

Writing is a critical skill for English language learners, enabling them to express ideas effectively. This study investigates the narrative writing abilities of second-grade students at SMPN 5 Wonomulyo, Indonesia, focusing on five key aspects: content, organization, vocabulary, language use, and mechanics. Employing a mixed-method approach, data were collected through writing tests and teacher interviews. The findings reveal that a majority of students (60%) failed to meet the minimum standard of writing proficiency. Content and vocabulary were identified as the most challenging aspects, with many students struggling to generate coherent ideas and use appropriate language. Interviews with the teacher highlighted contributing factors, including limited vocabulary, lack of practice, and reliance on conventional teaching methods. The study emphasizes the need for innovative, student-centered approaches to enhance narrative writing skills, such as collaborative writing exercises, peer feedback, and digital storytelling tools. Vocabulary enrichment and regular writing practice are also critical for improving performance. This research contributes to the body of knowledge on EFL writing and offers practical recommendations for improving teaching practices.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of play-based learning methods and coordination exercises on motor skills, specifically the volleyball serve technique, at Junior High School (JHS) 19 Bintan. The research utilized a quasi-experimental 2x2 factorial design, involving 20 students from grade VII, categorized based on their motor skills into high and low groups. The volleyball serve skills were assessed using the AAHPER Serving Accuracy Test, while motor skills were measured through tests of strength, speed, agility, power, and coordination. Data analysis was performed using two-way ANOVA. The analysis revealed that the overall model was statistically significant (F=89.378, p=0.000), explaining 93.3% of the variance in volleyball serve performance. However, the main effect of teaching methods (F=58.800, p=0.130) and motor ability (F=202.800, p=0.152) were not statistically significant. Additionally, the interaction between teaching methods and motor ability did not yield a significant result (F=6.533, p=0.421). Descriptive statistics indicated that students with higher motor abilities, particularly those exposed to play-based methods, showed improved performance in overhand serve skills. While the results did not reach statistical significance, these trends suggest that integrating play-based learning with coordination exercises may have practical benefits for enhancing motor skill development, particularly in sports that require technical precision, such as volleybal.

Abstract

The flood of information due to the emergence of information technology makes it easier for someone to view and study any information obtained without meeting the author face to face. The impact of authenticity on whether the information obtained can be accounted for. The effort to answer this challenge is a person's literacy skills to avoid getting caught up in wholly inauthentic and irresponsible disinformation. Pesantren also carry out efforts to overcome the problem of floods of information and religious literacy as an educational institution concentrating on religious understanding compared to other scientific fields. Based on this, this research aims to understand the strategies of Islamic boarding school leaders in building religious literacy skills. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a case study type. The research results show that leaders' strategies for building religious literacy skills are carried out through establishing religious literacy policies in the vision and mission and developing religious literacy based on local characteristics. Religious literacy based on local characteristics is implemented by reading the al-Qur’an and kitab kuning daily, using various learning methods to improve reading skills, collaborating with other Islamic boarding schools, having a well-equipped library, regular library visits, and promotions. An inclusive oral culture that encourages open and respectful discussion.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali dan memahami beberapa qaidah tentang talak, serta cara untuk mengaplikasikanya kaidah tersebut dangan persoalan berkaitan tantang talak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research. Hasil dari penelitian kaidah tentang talak, bahwa menjatuhkan talak harus berdasarkan alasan yang berujung perceraian, karena jika percerain tanpa sebab maka seorang suami mendapat dosa, dan seorang suami yang menjatuhkan talak tersebut mesti sudah baligh dan berakal, sehingga dapat menjatuhkan talak.

Abstract

The success of implementing the curriculum in schools is very dependent on the teacher's perception in accepting and understanding the content of implementing the independent curriculum within the scope of the educational unit. So it is important to know the teacher's perception index in implementing the independent curriculum in elementary schools. This research aims to analyze the teacher's perception index regarding the implementation of the independent curriculum in elementary schools in Bima. This research method was carried out using a survey approach. The main sample of this research was 32 elementary school class teachers who implemented an independent curriculum. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively. The results of the research reveal that elementary school teachers in Bima City can generally understand the theoretical realm and technical framework in implementing the Independent Curriculum. This is evidenced by the positive perception of teachers regarding the implementation of the independent curriculum in elementary schools, including; 62.5% of teachers think that the concept of an independent curriculum for elementary school students is in accordance with the theoretical basis of education. The remaining 37.5% felt that the independent curriculum concept was very suitable for elementary school students in Bima. It was identified that 69% of teachers were strongly influenced by internal factors and 31% were influenced by external factors in implementing the independent primary school curriculum. In another aspect, as many as 43.8% thought that discussion activities were initiated by teachers and the school, which also influenced the optimization of the implementation of the independent curriculum in elementary schools in Bima.

Abstract

Based on the results of daily tests, there are still many students who get scores below the standard score or KKM, namely 75 with classical completeness below 65%, so teachers can improve the process of teaching and learning activities by paying attention to several factors, including; The teacher is able to condition the class, students must be active and pay attention to the delivery of material via YouTube video media clearly. This research aims to improve the quality of learning process activities and evaluate improving learning outcomes using YouTube video media. This research is classroom action research (PTK) and the data is presented through qualitative and quantitative descriptive data. This research was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely: planning, implementation, action, observation and reflection. Learning process data, each cycle is analyzed descriptively qualitatively. Meanwhile, learning outcome data was analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The subjects of this research were 31 students in class IX-B. The results of the research showed that in cycle I there were only 14 students who obtained a pass mark with a classical completion percentage of 45.16%, while in cycle II the number of students who completed it was 27 people with a classical completion percentage reaching 87.10%. The research results show that learning using YouTube video media can improve the learning outcomes of class IX-B students at MTs Negeri 2 Kutai Kartanegara. ABSTRAKBerdasarkan hasil ulangan harian masih banyak siswa yang memperoleh nilai dibawah nilai standar atau KKM yaitu nilai 75 dengan ketuntasan klasikal di bawah 65%, maka guru dapat memperbaiki proses kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan memperhatikan beberapa faktor antara lain; guru mampu mengkondisikan kelas, siswa harus aktif dan memperhatikan penyampaian materi melalui media vidio Youtube dengan jelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas kegiatan proses pembelajaran dan evaluasi peningkatan hasil belajar dengan menggunakan media video YouTube. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dan datanya dipaparkan melalui data deskripsi kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari atas 4 tahap yaitu: tahap perencanaan, pelakasanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Data proses pembelajaran, setiap siklus dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Sedangkan data hasil pembelajaran dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX-B yang berjumlah 31 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I hanya ada 14 siswa memperoleh nilai tuntas dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal adalah 45,16% sedangkan pada siklus II jumlah siswa yang tuntas terdapat 27 orang dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 87,10%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media video YouTube dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IX-B pada MTs Negeri 2 Kutai Kartanegara.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam bidang pendidikan, terutama dalam pemanfaatan media dan sumber belajar digital. Universitas Muhammadiyah Bima menyadari pentingnya integrasi teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran dan berupaya meningkatkan literasi digital di kalangan mahasiswa melalui kegiatan workshop. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pemanfaatan media dan sumber belajar digital melalui kegiatan workshop pada mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Bima.Metode kegiatan yang digunakan ini yaitu pendekatan workshop, metode tatap muka, Adapun pesertanya adalah mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Bima, Pelaksanaan Kegiatan ini di Perpustakaan Daerah Kabupaten Bima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa workshop memiliki dampak positif signifikan terhadap literasi digital mahasiswa. Mahasiswa yang mengikuti workshop menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan media dan sumber belajar digital. Mereka juga lebih percaya diri dalam menggunakan teknologi untuk mendukung proses belajar-mengajar dan lebih terampil dalam mencari serta mengevaluasi informasi dari sumber digital. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini merupakan metode yang efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi digital mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Bima. Rekomendasi yang diberikan termasuk perlunya pengembangan program pelatihan berkelanjutan dan penyediaan sumber daya digital yang memadai untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran di era digital. Implementasi program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model bagi institusi pendidikan lain dalam upaya meningkatkan literasi digital di kalangan mahasiswa.
