Abstract

The experimental method is the right way to learn biology. Osmosis is an important biological concept that can be used to understand other biology concepts and requires experimental activities so students can understand it better. The implementation of experimental activities will be guided by Student Worksheets (LKPD-Ex). The purpose of this study was to develop LKPD-Ex on osmosis experiments with chicken egg media for class XI students. This research is a development-research (RnD) using a four-D model, namely the definition phase, design phase, development phase, and deployment phase. However, it was changed to 3D because the media was developed only to test the feasibility of the E-LKPD media. Good validation results from experts score 89.08% of the assessment of material experts and media experts, and 92.63% of student responses with very decent criteria. From these data it can be concluded that the development of Experimental Student Worksheets (LKPD-Ex) on the Osmosis Experiment is very feasible to be used as an alternative in the learning process so that it can be tested in supporting the maximum learning process.

Abstract

Cassava can be consumed through various processing methods, including boiling, frying, grilling over wood charcoal, and pounding and processing into a starchy paste known as getup. During its day, this tradition exhibited qualities that were commendable, pragmatic, and held significant worth. Nevertheless, successfully adopting these preparations and cuisines among the millennial age and age Z necessitates ingenuity and inventiveness. This study investigates the potential of cassava rice as a viable alternative to paddy rice while also proposing strategies to enhance the reputation and market perception of cassava rice to match that of paddy rice objects. The researchers employed a systematic literature review methodology, which was subsequently followed by a comprehensive analysis and comparison of the data put forth in earlier investigations. The findings of the study indicate that cassava rice has the potential to serve as a viable alternative to traditional rice on a national scale. Hence, cassava rice can be analogous to regular rice due to its significant carbohydrate content, allowing it to fulfill the same dietary role. The primary objective of this research is to establish a foundation for micro companies to conduct experimental trials in order to substantiate the advantages of cassava rice, both in terms of its nutritional value and its potential for use in various recipes. The research is constrained by its methodology, which relies on longitudinal and laboratory findings as the theoretical foundation.

Abstract

Integrating digital technology into elementary math education presents both opportunities and challenges, particularly in assessing students' mathematical communication skills. This study applies the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework to develop digital assessments for elementary students, focusing on varying self-confidence levels. Utilizing platforms like online portfolios and interactive simulations, the research evaluates students' abilities to communicate mathematical ideas through writing, visuals, and expressions. A mixed-methods approach combined quantitative data from self-confidence questionnaires and digital scores with qualitative data from digital portfolios and interviews. Fifth-grade students from the Assyfa Learning Center Pasuruan Foundation were grouped by self-confidence levels. Findings indicate a positive correlation between self-confidence and mathematical communication skills: students with high self-confidence met all indicators, while those with moderate and low self-confidence met fewer. Digital assessment tools enhanced evaluations and data richness. This study underscores the importance of integrating technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge in digital assessments and recommends ongoing teacher training and child-friendly platforms to boost equitable math assessment.

Abstract

Mathematics education holds significant importance in the educational journey at the school and college levels. However, many students pursuing mathematical education need help comprehending the subject matter, particularly in courses related to mathematics learning media. The phenomenon can be attributed to multiple variables, including diminished motivation, less efficacious learning methodologies, and inadequate pedagogical competencies exhibited by instructors. This study examines the responsibilities of practitioners in collaborative classes within the Higher Education Elementary Linear Algebra (ALE) course, with a specific focus on PGRI Wiranegara University. Data collection in descriptive qualitative research involves several methods, such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The upcoming academic semester, namely the odd semester of 2022/2023, is fascinating. The relationship between Mathematics Education Research Methodology and practitioners facilitated the provision of data. The analysis of collected data involves using reduction, presentation, and conclusions. Empirical research shows that practitioners play a significant role in collaborative classrooms by actively contributing ideas, facilitating learning processes, guiding arguments, and providing explanations. Time restrictions and miscommunication among practitioners hinder the adoption of collaborative classes. The present study posits that practitioners assume a pivotal position within collaborative educational settings and must effectively address the issues they encounter to enhance students' learning outcomes.
