Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis Kahoot pada materi Iman, Islam, dan Ihsan serta mengkaji kelayakannya ditinjau dari aspek validitas dan praktikalitas dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Research and Development (R&D) yang mengacu pada model ADDIE, dengan tahapan pengembangan dibatasi sampai pada tahap implementasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas validator/ahli, guru, dan peserta didik SMA. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validitas dan praktikalitas yang disebarkan menggunakan Google Form, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Kahoot yang dikembangkan memperoleh rata-rata skor validitas ahli sebesar 2,70 dengan kategori valid dengan revisi. Sementara itu, hasil uji praktikalitas menunjukkan rata-rata skor 4,72 (94,4%) menurut guru dan 4,75 (95,0%) menurut peserta didik, yang keduanya termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa media Kahoot layak digunakan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran PAI pada materi Iman, Islam, dan Ihsan di SMA, meskipun penerapannya masih terbatas pada skala uji coba terbatas.

Abstract

This study examines defensive pessimism as a psychological strategy used by university students to regulate anxiety and prepare for academic challenges. Defensive pessimism refers to a cognitive strategy in which individuals set low expectations and mentally simulate potential negative outcomes to cope with anxiety and enhance performance. The study employed a quantitative descriptive design with a sample of 600 university students selected through stratified random sampling. A defensive pessimism scale consisting of 20 items was developed based on the theoretical framework of Norem and Cantor. The instrument demonstrated satisfactory psychometric properties with Cronbach’s alpha reliability of 0.89 and exploratory factor analysis confirming a single-factor structure. Data were analyzed using a one-sample t-test and two-way ANOVA. The results indicated that university students demonstrated significant levels of defensive pessimism. Furthermore, significant differences were found based on gender and academic specialization, where female students and students in humanities disciplines showed higher levels of defensive pessimism compared to their counterparts. These findings suggest that defensive pessimism functions as an adaptive cognitive strategy for managing academic pressure among students. The study contributes to the understanding of psychological coping strategies in higher education and provides implications for student counseling and academic support programs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran IPAS berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan mengkaji kelayakan serta efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa kelas IV SDN 001 Airtiris. Penelitian menggunakan model Research and Development (R&D) dengan tahapan Borg & Gall yang disederhanakan menjadi tujuh tahap. Hasil validasi dari ahli materi, ahli desain, dan guru menunjukkan bahwa modul sangat layak digunakan. Uji coba terbatas menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa. Dengan demikian, modul berbasis PBL ini dapat menjadi alternatif media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam pembelajaran IPAS.

Abstract

The introduction of hijaiyah letters is an important stage in early childhood learning, especially to build a foundation for Al-Qur'an literacy. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using educational teaching aids (APE) made from used cardboard in introducing hijaiyah letters to PAUD children. The methodology used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) involving 26 teachers where the data collection process is taken directly by researchers using an instrument in the form of a media assessment Google form which explains the media and then asks respondents to answer and assess the quality of the media. . The data obtained was analyzed using descriptive analysis. The research results show that the value of the learning media components assessed by the teacher is ((X) ̅= 4.48, SD= 0.0586), and the value is more than the mean, namely 4.37 to 4.63. This shows that this media is worthy of use, with noted improvements in aspects of design and durability. This research concludes that APE media from used cardboard has great potential as an innovative and sustainable learning tool for introducing hijaiyah letters to PAUD children.

Abstract

Moral Education in Elementary Schools requires learning media that can attract students’ interest. One of the media that can be used is film, as it presents moral values in a visual and contextual manner. This study aims to examine the validity and practicality of film media in increasing students’ learning interest in Moral Education at elementary schools. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, limited to the analysis, design, and development stages. The research instruments include expert validation sheets and practicality questionnaires for teachers and students. The results indicate that film media falls into the very valid category based on assessments from content and media experts, and is very practical based on responses from teachers and students. Therefore, film media is appropriate to be used in Moral Education to enhance elementary students’ learning interest.

Abstract

. Existing non-test assessment instruments in science learning are often generic, less interactive, and insufficiently contextualized to address complex and socioscientific topics such as global warming. This limitation makes it difficult for teachers to assess students’ learning responses, engagement, and understanding in a meaningful way. Therefore, this study aims to develop and validate a Genially-based non-test assessment instrument specifically designed for global warming material, and to examine its feasibility as formative feedback to support instructional planning. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which was selected due to its systematic and iterative structure that supports instructional product development and evaluation. The instrument was developed and tested on 30 respondents consisting of students and general users as initial users of the media, selected through random sampling for preliminary field testing. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed to determine content validity, construct validity, reliability, and feasibility. The results indicate that all 19 instrument items are valid across five aspects: ease of use, presentation appeal, benefits, integration of Islamic values, and socio-scientific issues. The instrument demonstrated very high reliability, with a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.957. The feasibility analysis showed an average user response score of 76.45%, which falls into the “feasible” category, indicating that the instrument is appropriate for assessing learning media use in global warming instruction. This study contributes a validated, interactive non-test assessment instrument that can support teachers in conducting formative science assessment and evaluating students’ learning responses in global warming topics. Despite the limited sample size, the findings provide initial evidence of the instrument’s potential applicability and offer a foundation for further large-scale testing and refinement.

Abstract

A digitally literate person can use technology strategically to search for and evaluate information, as well as to connect and collaborate with others. In digital learning environments, students are required to develop a set of essential skills known as digital literacy. These skills are crucial for ensuring that learning can take place effectively in the digital era and for helping students become independent, critical thinkers. This study aims to develop effective Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Interactive Multimedia to support students' digital literacy. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D), applying the Dick and Carey instructional design model. This model comprises ten systematic steps, ranging from identifying instructional goals to conducting summative evaluations. The result of this study is a PBL-based interactive multimedia product that has been validated by experts and tested by users. Based on the validation process, the multimedia product received a score of 88%, which falls into the "Very Valid" category. In addition, the practicality test showed a score of 86%, indicating that the product is "Practical" and easy to use for both teachers and students. Therefore, the developed multimedia is considered suitable and effective for use as an interactive learning tool that supports problem-based learning in today’s digital classroom environment.

Abstract

The ultimate goal of biodiversity offset is to avoid net loss and preferably net gain from species composition side, habitat structure, ecosystem function, community use, and cultural values related with biodiversity. The idea of biodiversity offset has created controversy for some conservation societies because there is concern that the use of this scheme may encourage governments to continue to allow projects that have a serious impact on biodiversity as long as the project offers compensation. This scheme could also allow the company to leave significant impacts on the project area as long as it holds conservation activities elsewhere. Therefore, the application of biodiversity offsets must strictly adhere to the mitigation hierarchy that places biodiversity offsets as the last resort after all possible efforts have been made to avoid and minimize the impact of the development project and restore biodiversity in the project area

Abstract

This study aims to determine the response to the Islamic-Entrepreneurial Science and Technology (I-EnSciT) module for prospective science teachers in Indonesia and Malaysia. This research is an applied research type of evaluation with a cross-sectional method in the form of a reflection questionnaire which includes material aspects, Delivery, and Response Strategy to find out the response of prospective science teachers to the I-EnSciT Module training program. Data is obtained by conducting training activities within a certain period, then an assessment of the training program is carried out through a Google form questionnaire that is packaged to make it easier for participants to fill out a reflection questionnaire. This research was conducted with a total of 250 respondents, including 175 prospective teachers in Indonesia and 75 prospective teachers in Malaysia. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and inference was carried out using SPSS V21. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the average recapitulation of reflection on material aspects, strategies, and responses obtained a value of 3.3 with the aspect category "Very Good". It can be said that the I-EnSciT Module Training has been achieved/fulfilled so that it can be integrated and implemented in educational institutions covering material, media, and social interaction. Research that has novelty, especially by combining entrepreneurship issues with science and religion. This can be a reference in fostering effective learning tools.

Abstract

Theoretically sound educational ideas and media for teaching are often easier to discuss and debate than their practical implementation in the classroom. Consequently, the purpose of this research is to find problems with the use of learning theories and pedagogical tools. In order to provide a thorough analysis, this research uses a mixed-methods case study methodology, which combines quantitative data with qualitative results. Two science instructors and twenty-six third graders from an elementary school participated in the research. After gathering data via surveys, in-depth interviews, and observational studies, the researchers examined the quantitative data using descriptive statistics and the qualitative findings using thematic analysis. Using visual aids like photos and videos helps 73% of students understand the topic better, while narrative-based learning engages 65% of students. Students' inability to conceptualize abstract ideas is exacerbated by an over-reliance on textbooks, according to field observations, which in turn causes extreme boredom and disengagement. So, it's safe to say that the absence of visual and narrative components is the biggest problem with IPAS lessons. In order to improve students' motivation and critical thinking abilities in the digital age, this research suggests integrating digital storytelling technology with interactive visual media.
