Abstract

ABSTRACT Biliary system diseases are relatively common digestive conditions. Gallstones affect approximately 10-15% of the world's population and vary based on sociodemographic factors. This cross-sectional study aims to determine proportions of gallbladder and bile duct diseases, with or without gallstones and infections at Mitra Keluarga Kalideres Hospital, selected based on specific criteria using medical record data from the period between 2018 and June 2023, considering the final diagnoses of respondents. Variables in this study include gender, age, biliary anatomical abnormalities (gallbladder, bile duct, or nonspecific), gallstone incidence, and incidence of infections in biliary anatomical region. Statistical analysis used Independent T-Test. Out of 3916 respondents, the average age was 51.73 years, and majority were females (67.6%). 470 patients experienced infections in gallbladder and/or bile duct. There was a significant association between age groups and infection status (p<0.001) and anatomical location (p<0.001). The <45 age group had a 1.975 times higher risk of biliary system infection, while the >45 age group had a 2.165 times higher risk of bile duct disease compared to the <45 age group. The results of the Independent T-Test indicated a significant difference in the average age between the groups with and without biliary system infections (p-value < 0.001). Keywords: Bile duct, Infection, Gall bladder, Gallstones  ABSTRAK Penyakit sistem bilier merupakan kondisi digestif yang cukup sering. Batu empedu menyerang kurang lebih 10-15% populasi di dunia dan bervariasi dari faktor sosiodemografi. Penelitian potong lintang ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proporsi dari penyakit kandung empedu, saluran empedu, dengan atau tanpa batu empedu dan infeksi di Rumah Sakit Mitra Keluarga Kalideres yang dipilih sesuai kriteria menggunakan data rekam medis pada periode waktu 2018 hingga Juni 2023 dengan melihat diagnosa akhir responden. Variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu jenis kelamin, usia, anatomi kelainan empedu (kandung empedu, saluran empedu, atau tidak spesifik), insidensi batu empedu, dan insidensi infeksi daerah anatomi empedu. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji Independent T-Test. Dari 3916 responden, rerata usia adalah 51,73 tahun dan didominasi oleh perempuan (67,6%). 470 pasien mengalami infeksi pada kandung empedu dan atau saluran empedu. Didapatkan hubungan yang bermakna antara kelompok usia terhadap status infeksi (p<0,001) dan lokasi anatomis (p<0,001). Kelompok usia <45 tahun berisiko 1,975 kali untuk mengalami infeksi pada sistem bilier namun kelompok usia >45 tahun berisiko 2,165 kali untuk mengalami sakit di saluran empedu dibandingkan kelompok usia <45 tahun. Hasil uji Independent T-Test didapatkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rerata usia yang bermakna antara kelompok dengan infeksi dan tanpa infeksi pada sistem bilier (p-value < 0,001). Kata kunci: Batu Empedu, Infeksi, Kandung Empedu, Saluran Empedu

Abstract

ABSTRACT Gastritis is often used to describe clinical symptoms related to upper abdominal complaints in patients. The diagnosis of gastritis is established by combining information resulting from endoscopy examination and histological findings. This cross-sectional study aims to examine the demographic and pathological profile of gastritis patients in one of the hospitals in Jakarta, selected based on total sampling criteria using medical record data from January 2020 to December 2022. The data is presented in descriptive form. Out of 43 respondents, the mean age is 47 years and the majority are male. The most common location of pathology is in the antral part of the stomach in 29 (67.4%) respondents, with the inflammation generally being mild in 30 (69.8%) respondents. No PMN cells, atrophy, or Helicobacter pylori bacterial infection were found in 42 (97.7%) respondents, and there was no evidence of intestinal metaplasia or dysplasia in any of the respondents. The conclusion of this study is that the most common location of pathology is in the antral section with generally mild infection with a predominance of Helicobacter pylori infection. Keywords: Endoscopy, Gastritis, Histopathology ABSTRAK Gastritis sering digunakan untuk menggambarkan gejala klinis yang berkaitan dengan keluhan pasien di perut bagian atas. Diagnosis gastritis ditegakkan setelah menggabungkan informasi yang dihasilkan dari pemeriksaan endoskopi dan temuan histologis. Penelitian potong lintang ini bertujuan melihat gambaran demografi dan patologi pasien gastritis di salah satu Rumah Sakit di Jakarta yang dipilih sesuai kriteria secara total sampling menggunakan data rekam medis periode Januari 2020 hingga Desember 2022. Data disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif. Dari 43 responden, rerata usia adalah 47 tahun dan didominasi oleh laki-laki. Letak patologi paling sering terjadi pada bagian antral gaster pada 29 (67,4%) responden, dengan sebukan sel radang kronik umumnya sedang pada 30 (69,8%) responden, tidak ada sebukan sel PMN, atrofi kelenjar dan infeksi bakteri Helicobacter pylori pada 42 (97,7%) responden, serta tidak ditemukannya metaplasia intestinal dan displasia pada seluruh responden. Kesimpulan penelitian ini berupa lokasi patologi paling umum adalah pada bagian antral dengan infeksi umumnya ringan dengan dominasi infeksi Helicobacter pylori. Kata kunci: Endoskopi, Gastritis, Histopatologi

Abstract

ABSTRACT Stunting is a global problem, especially for children below 5 years of age in low-middle income countries. Giving exclusive breastfeeding has important role in preventing stunting. This is an observational analytic study with cross-sectional design, was done in Ciawi Regional General Hospital in October 2021. Samples are the pediatric ward inpatients from 0 to 18 years of age, which were taken with total sampling method. Exclusive breastfeeding is defined as only giving breastmilk as the only source of nutrition for baby in the first 6 month of life. Stunting is defined as body length or height of the child below -2 SD of WHO standard curve of body length-age. For children above 59 month old, stunting defined as body height below 5 percentile on the standard Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 2000 curve. Descriptive data presented in proportion (%). Statistical tests used in the study is Pearson Chi Square with Yates Correction and alternative test of Fischer Exact. Alternative test is based on the Expected Count of 5%. The significant value expected in the study is 5%. From the study, there are no significant relation found between exclusive breastfeeding and stunting for children 0-18 years of age (p-value: 0.916), but clinically found that children without exclusive breastfeeding has 1.167 times higher risk of having stunting compared to the children with exclusive breastfeeding in Ciawi Regional General Hospital. Keywords: Exclusive Breastfeeding, Stunting  ABSTRAK Stunting merupakan masalah kesehatan dunia khususnya pada anak dibawah 5 tahun di negara pendapatan rendah dan menengah. Menyusui ASI (Air Susu Ibu) eksklusif memiliki peran penting dalam pencegahan stunting. Studi ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain penelitian potong lintang yang dilaksanakan di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Ciawi pada Bulan Oktober 2021. Sampel merupakan pasien rawat inap di bangsal anak berusia 0 hingga 18 tahun, yang diambil dengan menggunakan metode total sampling. ASI eksklusif didefinisikan sebagai hanya memberikan ASI sebagai satu-satunya sumber makanan bagi bayi selama enam bulan pertama kehidupan. Stunting didefinisikan sebagai panjang atau tinggi badan anak di bawah -2 SD pada kurva panjang badan-menurut-usia atau tinggi badan-menurut-usia pada kurva standar WHO 2006. Pada anak yang memiliki usia lebih dari 59 bulan, stunting didefinisikan jika tinggi badan kurang dari persentil 5 pada kurva standar Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 2000. Data deskriptif disajikan dalam bentuk proporsi (%). Uji hipotesis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pearson Chi Square with Yates Correction dengan uji alternatif berupa Fischer Exact. Penentuan uji alternatif didasarkan pada nilai Expected Count sebesar 5%. Nilai kemaknaan yang diharapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebesar 5%. Pada studi tidak ditemukan hubungan bermakna antara pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan kejadian stunting pada anak usia 0-18 tahun (p-value: 0,916), tetapi secara klinis diketahui bahwa anak yang tidak diberikan ASI eksklusif memiliki risiko 1,167 kali lebih tinggi untuk mengalami stunting bilamana dibandingkan dengan kelompok anak yang menerima ASI eksklusif di RSUD Ciawi. Kata Kunci: ASI Eksklusif, Stunting

Abstract

COVID-19 has become one of the problems that attacks all elements of national and state life. The effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic are not only related to health, but also attack the social aspects and resilience of a country. It is not surprising that the COVID-19 Pandemic can be classified as a non-military threat to a nation. This paper discusses the role of society through attitudes towards State defense such as Following Health Protocols (Keeping Distance, Washing Hands and Wearing Masks) as a Form of State Defense in the Era of COVID-19. This research is a literature review study that discusses social issues using 3 types of approaches, namely the statute approach, conceptual approach, and case approach. The results of this study reveal that we need to adjust to new behaviors in order to be healthier, safer, and more compliant. We need to use all tools available to motivate citizens. The role of the community in breaking the chain of transmission of the disease COVID-19 (risk of contracting and transmission) must be carried out by implementing a number of health protocols. The conclusion of this study is that COVID-19 has become a very big problem for all countries, forcing the security of the state. The main thing the community can do to combat a disease is with the Following Health Protocols such as Keeping Distance, Washing Hands and Wearing Masks.

Abstract

The rules of action are a reflection of the life characteristics of a class of people. Regulations that are timeless and firmly integrated with the citizens' behavior can increase their binding power. As a result, they become customs. In a tradition, there are various rules of the tongue, listed as customary law. Routine or habit is a term commonly used in people's lives. The existence of customary law has been legally recognized by the Indonesian authorities, approved by all Indonesian citizens as one of the legal rules. The citizens can lawfully use it on the side of the authorities' use of laws and regulations. Customary law reflects something Indonesian personality as if the result has been claimed to be like original Indonesian law. As if the law is not recorded, currently, the presence of customary law is being questioned. It has been estimated as conventional, outlandish, ancient primitive, ancient compared to the citizens' modern progress. Some people think that customary law is incapable of solving cases during a period.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pelimpahan wewenang oleh dokter kepada perawat dapat dilakukan secara delegasi ataupun mandat. Pelimpahan wewenang dengan cara delegasi atau mandat seharusnya dilakukan dengan cara tertulis karena hal ini berkaitan dengan hubungan hukum yang terkait dengan hak dan kewajiban ners dan dokter dalam menjalani kewenangannya. Tujuan:  Menelaah secara yuridis pelimpahan wewenang dan tanggung jawab hukum pelimpahan wewenang dokter ke perawat Metode: Pendekatan penelitian ini merupakan yuridis normatif, dengan waktu penelitian dari Mei 2021 – Agustus 2021. Sampel penelitian ini berupa sumber hukum primer (regulasi dan hukum positif), sumber hukum sekunder (buku), serta sumber hukum tersier (website). Seluruh materi daring diambil dari berbagai literatur terindeks Google Scholar Hasil: Permenkes Nomor 2052/Menkes/Per/X/2011 tentang Izin Praktik dan Pelaksanaan Praktik Kedokteran, dalam Pasal 23 Ayat (1) menyatakan: segala pelimpahan wewenang wajib tertulis, bilamana hal ini tidak dilakukan maka terdapat konsekuensi hukum Kesimpulan: Dokter dapat mendelegasikan wewenang kepada perawat melalui pendelegasian atau mandat. Pendelegasian wewenang seringkali diikuti dengan pendelegasian kewajiban, sedangkan mandat tidak.

Abstract

Elderly individuals often experience physiological and health-related changes, including reduced muscle quality and decreased levels of physical activity. This decline negatively impacts overall health, increases the risk of chronic diseases, and diminishes the ability to perform daily activities. This study aimed to examine the relationship between vitamin D levels and physical activity in older adults. A cross-sectional study was conducted at the Bina Bhakti Nursing Home involving 93 participants aged 60 years and above. Physical activity was assessed using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), while vitamin D levels were measured through venous blood sampling. Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics and Spearman correlation. The average age of the participants was 74.34 years, with a mean vitamin D level of 23.73 ng/mL. Based on IPAQ results, 26.9% of participants had low physical activity, 44.1% moderate, and 29% high. Spearman correlation revealed a weak but statistically significant positive correlation between vitamin D levels and physical activity (r = 0.240, p = 0.021). These findings suggest that higher physical activity levels are associated with higher vitamin D concentrations. Engaging in outdoor activities that promote sun exposure and an active lifestyle contributes to maintaining adequate vitamin D levels, which are essential for muscle function, balance, and bone health. Therefore, ensuring sufficient vitamin D status is crucial for supporting optimal physical activity and enhancing the overall health and quality of life among the elderly.

Abstract

Influenza viruses have posed a global threat since the 19th century, presenting serious challenges and threats to public health worldwide. Influenza viruses are among the major seasonal outbreaks impacting health and the economy yearly. Numerous new strains emerge over time due to the antigenic drift of influenza viruses, which undergo mutations. Therefore, vaccines and medical technologies continuously need innovative approaches to stimulate immune responses effectively. mRNA-based influenza vaccines are potentially more effective because of the inclusion of a broader range of antigens that can enhance cellular immunity or expand protection beyond just hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA), they can incorporate more than four antigens (HA) in a single formulation, offering advantages in effectiveness, safety, and rapid large-scale production. mRNA-based influenza vaccines hold significant potential and are expected to benefit children due to their various advantages.

Abstract

For all countries and communities, including Indonesia, globalization is both a threat and an opportunity. Globalization is like a double-edged sword, and the very rapid development of information and communication technology is one of the greatest elements of globalization. Pancasila is a legacy of ancestral noble values extracted from the cultural values of the people of Indonesia. Cultural axiology and the principles of Pancasila are the noble values of Pancasila that can be used as a reference in the life of the nation and state. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, the application of Pancasila as the actualization of State defense was very important, particularly with regard to the culture of literacy in order to suppress hoaxes. This study is a literature review that examines the Covid-19 pandemic as a social disaster, the attitude of defending the State, the actualization of Pancasila, the two sides of State security, and the attitude of defending the State during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of making this paper is to increase awareness in defending the public's state regarding the importance of literacy during the Covid-19 period. This work is based on a literature review. The literature search took place from January 1, 2021, to January 7, 2021. This study involves qualitative research, in which three types of approaches, namely: legal, conceptual, and analytical approaches, will examine in part all the materials and literature collected during the research period. The findings of this study show that covid-19 is a social disaster that attacks all aspects of human life, and one way for society to overcome the pandemic of Covid-19 is to defend the state and update the values of Pancasila in social life. In addition, one of the cultures that can be used to ward off non-military threats is Pancasila and the attitude of defending the state.

Abstract

Covid-19 is a very serious problem in 2020, claiming millions of lives. One issue is the rapid spread rate and the large number of infected groups without clinical symptoms and has the potential to become a source of spread for other people. One way to prevent the spread of covid-19 is disciplined awareness of conducting self-isolation for infected groups. This research discusses self-isolation awareness as a form of state defense during Covid-19. This research is a literature review study that uses 3 types of approaches to discuss social issues, namely status approach, conceptual approach, and case approach. The results of this study reveal that we are only urged to stop the spread of this virus, with government appeals, by participating in defending the country without taking up arms, we can fulfill our role as good citizens. As described above, State defense is adjusted to current community conditions, e.g. in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. At this time, state defense updating is not just staying at home, but still productive with our home system work as usual. The government has issued various policies, including studying at home, working from home, and praying at home. Following the government's recommendation is actually a form of state defense to defend the country as a form of our love for Indonesia
