Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Make A Match learning model in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery on the sports theme among third-grade students of SDIT Al-Bashirah Palopo. The main problem addressed in this study is the low level of students’ vocabulary mastery, which affects their overall language skills. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 17 students. Data were collected through tests, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the average pre-test score of 36.00 increased to 77.06 in the post-test. The paired sample t-test result indicated a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning there was a significant difference. The novelty of this study lies in the application of the Make A Match model specifically focused on sports-themed vocabulary at the elementary school level, as well as the integration of game-based cooperative activities that enhance student engagement. Therefore, this model is proven effective in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery among elementary school students

Abstract

Crystal violet is a persistent dye that is difficult to remove using conventional treatment methods. This study investigates the degradation of crystal violet using a CuFe₂O₄-based heterogeneous photo-Fenton system in the presence of ascorbic acid. The novelty of this work lies in the combined use of CuFe₂O₄ and ascorbic acid to enhance redox cycling and improve degradation performance under photo-Fenton conditions. The CuFe₂O₄ catalyst was synthesized via a sol–gel method and characterized using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction (XRD), confirming the formation of a spinel structure with an average crystallite size of 38.4 nm. The degradation process was evaluated by varying pH (1–9) and hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) concentration (10–50 mmol/L). The optimum pH was found to be 3, achieving a degradation efficiency of 94.38%, while the optimum H₂O₂ concentration was 30 mmol/L with a degradation efficiency of 93.56%.The improved degradation performance is attributed to enhanced hydroxyl radical (•OH) generation facilitated by the interaction between CuFe₂O₄ and ascorbic acid. These results suggest that CuFe₂O₄ with ascorbic acid can improve crystal violet degradation under the tested photo-Fenton conditions.

Abstract

This study reports the development of a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) modified with NiAl2O4 derived from napa soil for the voltammetric detection of Zn2+ ions. The modified electrode was prepared using a drop-casting method and characterized in 4.0 mM K3[Fe(CN)6] with 0.1 M KCl as the supporting electrolyte. The results showed an increase in oxidation peak current from 19.93 µA (bare GCE) to 26.80 µA and reduction peak current from −19.03 µA to −24.29 µA after modification, indicating enhanced electron transfer. Zn2+ detection was carried out in the concentration range of 1–3 mM, where the reduction peak current increased from −85.49 µA to −170.83 µA with increasing concentration. A linear relationship between concentration and current response was obtained with a regression equation of y = -42.67x – 40.42 and a correlation coefficient (R2 = 0.9907), indicating good linearity of the sensor. The limit of detection (LOD) was calculated to be 0.21 mM. Among the tested supporting electrolytes, 0.1 M KCl provided the highest and most stable current response. Although the modified electrode shows improved performance, the detection range is still limited to the millimolar level, and further studies are required to evaluate selectivity, reproducibility, and applicability in real samples. These findings demonstrate the potential of napa-soil-derived NiAl2O4 as a sustainable and cost-effective material for electrochemical sensing applications.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to reveal how hybrid spirituality is constructed in Paulo Coelho’s novel Al-Khīmiyā’ī using Lucien Goldmann’s Genetic Structuralism. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected by identifying textual units, including narratives and dialogues, that represent the interaction between Western and Eastern values. The analysis was conducted by connecting the internal structure of the story with the broader social context of the author to reach a comprehensive understanding of the text. The results indicate that the protagonist, Santiago, successfully harmonizes individual agency (the West) with spiritual surrender or maktub (the East). Paulo Coelho is identified as a representation of the collective subject of modern society seeking common ground amidst the spiritual crisis of the global era. This research concludes that the novel offers a Hybrid Spirituality as a solution to value contradictions between cultures, affirming the role of literature as a bridge for global harmony.

Abstract

The 1997-1998 monetary crisis in Indonesia was a complex economic event that requires an in-depth understanding of intersectoral linkages. This study aims to analyze the transmission mechanism of the crisis through the interaction between the exchange rate, monetary policy, and the financial system. The method employed is a qualitative approach using descriptive-analytical techniques applied to secondary data from the 1997-1998 period. The findings show that the sharp depreciation of the rupiah triggered a domino effect, leading to a surge in inflation and forcing the implementation of tight monetary policy through an extreme increase in interest rates. The novelty of this study lies in the reconstruction of the crisis transmission path by integrating three sectors simultaneously foreign exchange, monetary policy, and banking within a chronological narrative in order to reveal how exchange rate shocks systematically evolved into financial system failure. These findings confirm the existence of an interconnected crisis transmission mechanism, in which instability in one variable was able to paralyze the entire national economic system in a multidimensional manner.
