Abstract

This study explores the dynamics of the dual roles of single mothers in the modern era, encompassing both income-earning responsibilities and independent child-rearing. Grounded in William J. Goode’s dual role theory, this research analyzes how single mothers navigate psychological pressures and complex role conflicts arising from limited resources and time constraints. Using a qualitative-descriptive-analytical research design with a literature review method, this study finds that single mothers often experience “role overload” and “role conflict,” which negatively impact their emotional well-being as well as the social and emotional development of their children. These conditions are further exacerbated by social stigma and the lack of institutional support, which hinder their access to better economic and social opportunities. The implications of these findings highlight the urgency of more inclusive social interventions and public policies, such as childcare subsidies, skills training, and access to mental health services, to support single mothers in effectively fulfilling their roles. Additionally, campaigns to reduce social stigma against single mothers are essential in fostering a more supportive environment for their families. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by single mothers and offers practical recommendations for policymakers to enhance family well-being in modern society.

Abstract

The presence of a child in the household is highly anticipated and expected for all families, but not all families can experience having children so that families must adopt children. In Javanese custom, the adoption of a child is carried out with the aim of being an inducement for families who have not yet been blessed with children, because the Javanese indigenous people believe that by adopting a child as an inducement, the family will later be blessed with their own child. But from the adoption of the child resulted in blood relations and inheritance, whereas in Islamic law this is not the case. The problems in this thesis are, How is the practice of adopting children in Surabayan Village, Sukodadi District, Lamongan Regency, How to determine the number of inheritance rights for adopted children in Surabayan Village, Sukodadi District, Lamongan Regency and what are the views of Islamic Law, Civil Law, and Customary Law regarding inheritance rights of adopted children in Surabayan Village, Sukodadi District, Lamongan Regency. This research is a field research (Field Research), the data sources used are primary data sources collected through interviews, documentation and observation. Primary data is obtained directly from respondents regarding inheritance for adopted children in Islamic law and Javanese customary law, while secondary data is in the form of theories and legal norms as well as other supporting data obtained from literature, documentation and village biographies. All of these data are used to describe a review of Islamic law regarding inheritance for adopted children in the perspective of Javanese customary law.

Abstract

The family is a social unit in society that has a very large role and influence in the family in social and personality development of each family member requires its own organization and needs the head of the household as an important figure who leads the family in addition to several other family members. A family is called harmonious if all members feel happy which is marked by the absence of conflict, tension, disappointment and satisfaction with the situation (physical, mental, emotional, and social). social) all family members. This legal research is a descriptive research and is included in the type of normative or doctrinal legal research. Location of research in the library and types of secondary data sources. Data collection techniques used are document studies, in the form of laws and regulations, books, journals, papers, articles and others. Analysis of the data used is content analysis (Content of analysis). Based on this research, it was found that domestic violence is a crime category (crime) in general. There are two formulations of problems that must be studied, namely: forms of domestic violence and legal protection for victims of violence. The form of domestic violence is any act against a person, especially a woman, which results in physical, psychological, and neglect of the household, including threats to commit acts, coercion or deprivation of liberty against the law and within the household.

Abstract

The election of the village head is one of the most popular forms of a democratic party. This village-level election is an arena for political competition that is very effective if it can be used for political learning for the community. At this moment, the community will determine who the village leader will be for the next 5 years. Many forms of democratic parties have been held in our current political life. The presidential election (Pilpres), the regional head election (Pilkada) for the Governor, the Regent election (Pilbup) and the Legislative Election (Pileg). Not to forget is the Village Head Election (Pilkades). It is so interesting for me to examine more deeply about the culture of this village head election. However, the party was only a name that rang in the ears of the people of Sampang. Initially this party which was scheduled to be held at the end of 2021, but it was all just a discourse that the community was waiting for, now there is only hope, because with the Sampang Regent Regulation No. 27 of 2021, the fate of the 111 villages affected by this postponement will depend on the Acting Positions appointed by the Sampang Regent. Therefore, many people think that the handling of the village government will not be as conducive as the village head, which the community chooses directly democratically because the election of the village head is elected directly because those who are directly elected have a different sense of responsibility from the Acting (Stakeholders) who Every six months an evaluation must be carried out. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach where the researcher goes directly to the field where the object of research and research instruments are used to collect data is by conducting an observation, interview and documentation. The results of this study are that with the regent's regulation No. 27 of 2021, the simultaneous election of 111 Village Heads will be carried out in 2025, so that Villages that are forced to postpone the Village Head elections will be replaced with Acting Positions. appointed directly by the Regent who was taken from the ASN (State Civil Apparatus) from the Sampang Regency itself. Abstract

Background: Diabetes mellitus (DM) has become a major health problem worldwide, with a continuous increase in mortality due to complications caused by hyperglycemia. Chronic hyperglycemia is often associated with inflammation due to increased production of free radicals. Objective: This study’s main objective is to assess antidiabetic and anti-inflammatory properties in vitro of five particular Syzygium leaves extract (S. cumini, S.aqueum, S. malaccense, S. polyanthum, and S. aromaticum) using alpha-glucosidase and Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA).  Methods: The five of selected Szygium leaves were macerated by using ethanol 96%, each extract was assessed in vitro for antidiabetic activity by analyzing the inhibitory of alpha-glucosidase using acarbose as strandard, and anti-inflammatory activity by analyzing the inhibitory denaturation of BSA Heat-induced and BSA induced by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazine (DPPH) with Sodium diclofenac as standard. Results: The IC50 of α-glucosidase inhibition was 76.235 µg/mL (strong) for S. malaccense and 0.241 µg/mL (very strong) for the acarbose standard. The greater IC50 of antidenaturation of BSA with heat-induced was S. polyanthum (95.7 µg/mL) and sodium diclofenac standard (59.25 µg/mL) both were strong inhibitor. Along with greater anti-denaturation of BSA, DPPH-induced S. malaccense (90.320 µg/mL) and sodium diclofenac standard (43.301 µg/mL), both of which are strong inhibitors. Conclusion: The ethanol extract of Syzygium leaves has the potential to be developed as an antidiabetic and anti-inflammatory herbal medicine, particularly S. malaccense and S. polyanthum leaf extracts, which provided greater activity in this study.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to raise environmental awareness and promote economic independence among the women of the PKK (Family Welfare Movement) in Sumberarum Village, Bojonegoro, through training on utilizing banana peel waste as an active ingredient in the production of environmentally friendly soap. The implementation method consists of five stages: preparation, socialization, training, evaluation, and follow-up assistance for sustainability. The results show a significant increase in participants’ knowledge by 85%, based on pre-test and post-test results, and 90% of participants successfully produced quality soap during the practical session. The participants showed great enthusiasm and have started independent soap production at home. Furthermore, a small business group based on the PKK was established to support the sustainability of the program. This activity demonstrates that organic waste management can serve as an innovative solution for community empowerment and environmental conservation, while also offering potential for development into competitive micro-enterprises.

Abstract

This study reviews various research on the impact of financial variables on capital expenditure across different regions in Indonesia. The variables investigated include General Allocation Funds (DAU), Regional Original Income (PAD), Special Allocation Funds (DAK), and Profit Sharing Funds (DBH). The research primarily uses secondary data from financial reports, including the Realization Report of the Regional Budget (APBD) and financial statements from regional governments. Methods used across the studies include multiple regression analysis, moderated regression analysis, and panel data models with various statistical tests such as the Chow test, Hausman test, and Lagrange Multiplier test. The findings indicate that DAU and PAD generally have a positive impact on capital expenditure, while the effects of DAK and DBH vary, with some studies showing positive impacts and others indicating negligible or negative effects. The moderating factor of Remaining Over Budget Financing (SILPA) presents mixed results. The reviewed studies highlight a gap in comparative analysis across different regions and suggest a need for further exploration of the interaction between economic conditions and financial variables, as well as the impact of long-term economic cycles on capital expenditure. Addressing these gaps could enhance understanding and inform more effective fiscal management and resource allocation strategies.

Abstract

This community service aimed to improve students' understanding of praiseworthy morals through audio-visual media in Islamic Religious Education (FAI) subject at grade III of SDN 068 Rumbio. The implementation involved 25 students and utilized interactive audio-visual media including animated videos, moral stories with visual illustrations, and educational games. Pre-test and post-test methods were employed to measure students' understanding improvement, along with observation and interviews. Results showed significant improvement in students' understanding of praiseworthy morals, with average scores increasing from 65.2 to 83.4. Students demonstrated better comprehension of moral concepts such as honesty, respect, cooperation, and responsibility. The audio-visual media proved effective in engaging students and making abstract moral concepts more concrete and understandable. Teachers also reported positive responses regarding the implementation of this innovative learning approach. The success factors included appropriate media selection, active student participation, and strong support from school management.

Abstract

Kepuasan kerja merupakan salah satu faktor kunci yang menentukan kinerja dan produktivitas karyawan dalam suatu organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan kerja, beban kerja, gaya kepemimpinan, kompensasi kerja, dan Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan di Klinik Aminah Amin Rianta 1, Kota Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur pada tahun 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh karyawan klinik sebanyak 31 orang yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dengan skala Likert yang mengukur enam variabel utama. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji univariat, bivariat (korelasi Pearson), dan multivariat (regresi linier berganda). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan, kelima variabel independen berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja (p < 0,05) dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 96,1%. Secara parsial, seluruh variabel independen juga menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengelolaan faktor-faktor organisasi seperti lingkungan kerja yang kondusif, sistem kompensasi yang adil, gaya kepemimpinan yang suportif, serta dorongan terhadap perilaku OCB dalam meningkatkan kepuasan kerja, kinerja, dan retensi karyawan

Abstract

Topik penelitian ini mengkaji peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di satuan pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan secara mendalam bagaimana kepala sekolah menjalankan perannya sebagai pemimpin pembelajaran, manajer, supervisor akademik, inovator, motivator, dan administrator guna menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang profesional dan kondusif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, yang dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis berbagai sumber literatur ilmiah yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan peran kepala sekolah secara terpadu mampu meningkatkan kualitas kinerja guru, mengoptimalkan proses pembelajaran peserta didik, serta membentuk budaya sekolah yang positif dan progresif. Manfaat dari penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi referensi praktis dan teoretis bagi para kepala sekolah, pendidik, dan pengambil kebijakan dalam mengembangkan kepemimpinan sekolah yang efektif dan berdampak nyata terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan.
