Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of a Game-Based Learning model assisted by crossword puzzles (GBL–TTS) in improving students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The participants were divided into two groups: an experimental group that received instruction using the GBL–TTS model and a control group that was taught through conventional instructional methods. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and analyzed using prerequisite statistical tests followed by Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The results revealed a statistically significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups, with a significance value of p < 0.001. These findings indicate that the implementation of GBL–TTS is effective in enhancing students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education. The integration of game elements and crossword puzzle media promotes more interactive learning, increases student engagement, and strengthens students’ mastery of basic concepts. Therefore, game-based instructional media grounded in Game-Based Learning principles can serve as a strategic alternative for developing innovative and meaningful Pancasila Education learning practices.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a Teacher Mentoring Program through Learning Communities in improving teachers’ pedagogical competence at the secondary school level. Learning communities serve as collaborative platforms designed to encourage teachers to share best practices, engage in discussions, and collectively address instructional challenges. The evaluation method employed was the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The evaluation results indicate that, from the context aspect, the program aligns well with teachers’ needs in responding to the implementation of a new curriculum and increasing demands for instructional quality. In terms of input, support from school principals, the availability of learning resources, and facilitator training were found to be adequate. Regarding the process aspect, activities were conducted on a weekly basis; however, not all teachers actively participated. From the product aspect, improvements were observed in teachers’ abilities to design teaching modules, manage classrooms, and implement innovative instructional methods, although the improvement was not evenly distributed across all subject areas. This study recommends strengthening individualized mentoring, optimizing monitoring mechanisms, and enhancing teacher motivation to encourage more active participation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Scramble learning model assisted by ProProfs Brain Game media on students’ learning outcomes in Civic Education (PPKn). The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely an experimental group and a control group, each comprising 25 seventh-grade students at SMPN 11 Mataram. Data were collected through observations and learning outcome tests administered during the pretest and posttest phases, and subsequently analyzed using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) to control for students’ initial abilities. The results indicated that the implementation of the Scramble learning model supported by ProProfs Brain Game had a significant effect on improving students’ learning outcomes. The experimental group demonstrated a higher increase in learning outcomes compared to the control group, with an N-Gain improvement of 54%. This learning model was able to create a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment, while also enhancing students’ active engagement in the learning process. Therefore, the Scramble model assisted by ProProfs Brain Game can be considered an effective and innovative instructional strategy for improving Civic Education learning outcomes at the junior high school level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis variasi motivasi belajar siswa berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan orang tua di SMP Negeri 3 Labuhan Haji. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain ex-post facto dan metode komparatif. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 110 siswa, dengan sampel sebanyak 48 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster quota random sampling. Data motivasi belajar dikumpulkan menggunakan angket tertutup yang telah memenuhi uji validitas dan reliabilitas, sedangkan data tingkat pendidikan orang tua diperoleh melalui dokumentasi sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji One Way ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan uji post hoc Games–Howell karena varians antar kelompok tidak homogen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan motivasi belajar yang signifikan antara siswa dengan orang tua berpendidikan dasar, menengah, dan tinggi (p < 0,05). Siswa yang memiliki orang tua berpendidikan tinggi menunjukkan motivasi belajar paling tinggi, sementara siswa dengan orang tua berpendidikan dasar menunjukkan motivasi belajar paling rendah. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa latar belakang pendidikan orang tua berkaitan dengan variasi motivasi belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi sekolah dan orang tua dalam merancang strategi pendampingan belajar yang lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy in the Civic Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Informants consisted of the head of the study program, lecturers, and students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results indicate that the implementation of the three-semester learning policy outside the study program is carried out through program socialization, administrative services, academic supervision, program monitoring, and credit conversion. The most preferred MBKM activity among students is the student exchange program. Supporting factors include credit conversion systems, collaboration with partners, academic supervision, and student motivation. However, challenges include time management, academic readiness, communication with the study program, and differences in implementation mechanisms across MBKM activities.

Abstract

Budaya adalah salah satu kearifan lokal yang unggul dan merupakan potensi daerah yang dapat dijadikan sumber pengetahuan yang diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan, mengetahui kelayakan dan kepraktisan media kartu pelangi berbasis kearifan lokal suku Sasak untuk siswa kelas 1 di SDN 2 Dasan Tapen. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan ADDIE (analysis, desain, development, implementation, evaluation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan media kartu pelangi berbasis kearifan lokal suku Sasak persentase sebesar 95% dari ahli media dengan kriteria layak dan persentase sebesar 89,47% dari kedua ahli materi dengan kriteria sangat layak. Sementara, untuk tingkat kepraktisan penggunaan media kartu pelangi berbasis kearifan lokal suku Sasak memperoleh persentase sebesar 96% dari angket respon siswa dengan kriteria sangat praktis dan persentase sebesar 89% dari angket respon guru dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media kartu pelangi berbasis kearifan lokal suku Sasak dinyatakan layak dan praktis untuk digunakan dalam proses belajar membaca siswa kelas I di SDN 2 Dasan Tapen.

Abstract

Penguasaan kosakata (vocabulary) merupakan dasar penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di sekolah dasar, namun masih banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami dan mengingat kosakata baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan media pembelajaran flash card dalam meningkatkan penguasaan vocabulary siswa sekolah dasar serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis ex post facto yang dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 07 Cakranegara dengan subjek siswa kelas V. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi pembelajaran, wawancara dengan guru Bahasa Inggris, dan dokumentasi. Tahapan penelitian meliputi analisis desain media, pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan flash card, serta evaluasi hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan flash card mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar, pemahaman makna kata, serta kemampuan pelafalan siswa. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan media dan potensi kejenuhan, hal tersebut dapat diatasi melalui variasi metode pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, media flash card dinilai efektif dan layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan penguasaan vocabulary siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan keterampilan esensial dalam pendidikan abad ke-21 yang harus dikembangkan sejak dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri yang dipadukan dengan media flash card berbasis augmented reality (AR) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental) dengan desain pretest-posttest control group, melibatkan dua kelas IV di SDN Galang Bulan. Satu kelas sebagai kelompok eksperimen menggunakan model inkuiri dan media flash card AR, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan metode konvensional. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan ANOVA dengan bantuan SPSS versi 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari penggunaan model inkuiri berbantuan AR terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa (p = 0,008 < 0,05). Temuan ini merekomendasikan integrasi teknologi berbasis AR dengan pendekatan pembelajaran aktif sebagai strategi inovatif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran yang mendalam, interaktif, dan relevan.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of the intensity of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms on the learning motivation of students in the Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) Study Program at the University of Mataram. Along with the rapid digital transformation in higher education, AI has become a cognitive support instrument that affects the psychological dynamics of students in learning. This study used a quantitative approach with the ex post facto method. The research population consisted of PPKn students from the class of 2022, with a sample size of 66 respondents determined through stratified proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability (Cronbach's Alpha for variable X = 0.896 and Y = 0.996). Data analysis techniques included simple linear regression and One-Way ANOVA. The results showed that the intensity of AI use had a positive and significant effect on student learning motivation (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05) with a regression coefficient of 0.296. The results of the One-Way ANOVA also showed significant differences in learning motivation between intensity groups (F = 5.603; Sig = 0.006). Post Hoc Tukey further testing revealed that a significant surge in motivation occurred when students moved from low to moderate use levels, but tended to stabilize from moderate to high levels. This study concludes that AI acts as a motivational catalyst through the ease of access to information and the enhancement of students' academic confidence in mastering complex materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan media Kahoot terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn). Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran PPKn yang sering dianggap monoton, normatif, dan kurang menarik apabila disampaikan melalui metode konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain post-test only control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas VII di MTsN 1 Lombok Tengah yang dipilih secara acak, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang memperoleh pembelajaran TGT berbantuan Kahoot dan kelas kontrol yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket motivasi belajar yang disusun berdasarkan lima indikator, yaitu hasrat dan keinginan berhasil, dorongan dan kebutuhan belajar, harapan dan cita-cita masa depan, penghargaan dalam belajar, serta lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara motivasi belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata motivasi belajar kelas eksperimen sebesar 102,07, sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 86,26, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi TGT dan Kahoot efektif meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran PPKn. Model ini mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif, kolaboratif, kompetitif, menyenangkan, serta relevan dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran abad ke-21. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by Kahoot on students’ learning motivation in Civic Education. The study was grounded in the problem of low student motivation in Civic Education learning, which is often perceived as monotonous, normative, and less engaging when delivered through conventional teaching methods. This research employed a quantitative approach using a post-test only control group design. The sample consisted of two seventh-grade classes at MTsN 1 Lombok Tengah selected randomly. The experimental class received instruction using the TGT model assisted by Kahoot, while the control class was taught through conventional learning. The research instrument was a learning motivation questionnaire developed based on five indicators: desire and intention to succeed, learning needs and encouragement, future expectations and aspirations, appreciation in learning, and a conducive learning environment. The data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an independent sample t-test. The results revealed a significant difference in students’ learning motivation between the experimental and control classes. The mean score of the experimental class was 102.07, while the control class obtained a mean score of 86.26, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings indicate that integrating TGT with Kahoot effectively enhances students’ learning motivation in Civic Education. This learning model creates an active, collaborative, competitive, enjoyable, and meaningful learning atmosphere. Therefore, TGT assisted by Kahoot can serve as an innovative instructional strategy that supports student-centered learning and responds to the demands of twenty-first-century education.
