Abstract

Shallots are a highly sought-after vegetable commodity in Indonesia, particularly for household consumption as a flavoring agent. Analysis of income and feasibility of shallot farming in Banjaratma Village, Bulakamba District, Brebes Regency has never been studied. This study was conducted to determine the income analysis and feasibility of shallot farming conducted by farmers who are members of the "Bahagia Makmur" Farmers Group (Gapoktan) in Banjaratma Village, Bulakamba District, Brebes Regency. The location of Banjaratma Village was chosen purposively as the research location because farmers in the village consistently grow shallots throughout the year. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study type. The data used are primary and secondary data. The shallot farming carried out by farmers is professional by applying shallot leaf compost as an additional organic material in the soil so that soil fertility in the area can be maintained. The income of shallot farmers also increased with the method of applying shallot leaf compost much better than using conventional methods that farmers usually do with an increase in income of 33.27%. The R/C ratio value is 2.51 for cultivation with compost and the R/C ratio value for cultivation without compost is 2.14 which is the basis that the shallot farming carried out by farmers who are members of the Bahagia Makmur Farmers Group, Banjaratma Village, Brebes Regency is feasible to be pursued. The application of shallot leaf compost technology to planting land really helps farmers in increasing shallot production by 18.24% compared to without compost.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based internship information system for SMK Nusantara 1 to support the administration of students’ industrial work practice. The existing PKL administration process still relies heavily on manual recording using paper forms and spreadsheets, which often leads to data duplication, document loss, and delays in report preparation. The proposed system was developed using the Waterfall model, which includes requirement analysis, system and database design using Unified Modeling Language (UML), implementation with PHP and MySQL, and functional testing through black-box methods. The system provides several main features, including user authentication, management of student and supervisor data, industry placement, daily activity input, supervisor assessment, final report submission, and PKL recap reporting. Testing results indicate that all functional requirements perform correctly, and users—including administrators, school supervisors, company supervisors, and students—reported that the system is easier to use compared to previous manual procedures. Overall, the system enhances transparency, reduces administrative errors, and improves the school’s ability to monitor and evaluate internship activities effectively.

Abstract

Pine resin is one of the non-timber forest products (NTFPs) that has high economic value. However, the quality and selling value of pine resin are greatly influenced by the container media used during tapping. This study aims to analyze the effect of filter variations on the innovative tool on the quality of the resin and the resulting economic value. The method used is quantitative descriptive through field experiments and analysis of the sales value of the tapping results using two types of tools, namely traditional tools (coconut shells) and innovative tools with two levels of filters and covers. The experiment was conducted for fifteen days on two groups of pine trees that were tapped in parallel. The results showed that although the volume of resin produced was similar, the selling value of the resin from the innovative tool increased up to three times due to the cleaner quality and minimal contamination, with total income increasing from IDR 72,000 to IDR 216,000 for six trees over fifteen days. The community also responded positively to the practicality, safety, and effectiveness of the tool. This innovation contributes to increasing farmers' income and can be a strategic solution to support the efficiency of pine resin tapping by Perhutani.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the predictive performance of the Logistic Regression (LR) model and the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) in forecasting financial distress among manufacturing firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2022–2024. Financial distress represents a deterioration in a company’s financial condition and serves as an early warning of potential bankruptcy; therefore, accurate prediction models are crucial for investors, creditors, and corporate decision-makers. The sample comprises manufacturing companies selected through purposive sampling, based on the availability and completeness of financial statements for the observation period. The variables used include financial ratios such as Return on Assets (ROA), Debt-to-Assets Ratio (DAR), and Current Ratio (CR). Two predictive models were developed: Logistic Regression, a conventional statistical approach, and an Artificial Neural Network, a nonlinear machine learning method. The results indicate that the Logistic Regression model achieves a higher recall rate than the Artificial Neural Network model (55.56%), suggesting that Logistic Regression provides better predictive performance in identifying companies experiencing financial distress.

Abstract

Introduction: Polymorphisms in the CYP3A4, CYP3A5, and ABCB1 genes play a significant role in the response to tacrolimus therapy in kidney transplant patients. Tacrolimus, a commonly used immunosuppressant, has a narrow therapeutic index and is highly influenced by individual genetic variation. These genetic polymorphisms significantly affect the response to tacrolimus therapy in patients undergoing kidney transplantation. Inaccurate dosing can lead to serious consequences: a tacrolimus dose that is too low increases the risk of acute rejection, while a dose that is too high can cause nephrotoxicity and other serious side effects. Therefore, accurate initial dosing of tacrolimus is critical in the clinical practice of kidney transplantation.. Methods: The article search was conducted using the CrossRef database, which provided access to various scientific journals. The focus was on research published in the last five years, ensuring that only studies exploring polymorphisms related to the CYP3A4, CYP3A5, and ABCB1 genes in the context of tacrolimus were used. Results: Previous analysis revealed that CYP3A5 polymorphisms were the most consistent genetic factors influencing tacrolimus metabolism; expressors with the *1/*1 and *1/*3 genotypes required higher doses to reach target levels, while non-expressors with the *3/*3 genotypes experienced a greater risk of toxicity with elevated trough levels, although contributions from CYP3A4 and ABCB1 varied based on ethnicity and transplantation stage. Conclusions: From the results of this review, it can be concluded that CYP3A5 gene polymorphisms are the primary predictors of tacrolimus dose requirements. Recommendations for implementing CYP3A5 genotyping before transplantation may enhance the efficacy of immunosuppression and reduce the risk of toxicity. Further research is necessary to develop more adaptive, pharmacogenetic-based dosing models and to evaluate the clinical factors influencing tacrolimus pharmacokinetics.

Abstract

This study aims to address the lack of engaging and interactive digital learning media used in early reading activities at TK B Yaspa by developing an interactive PowerPoint media based on Canva. The research employed the first three stages of the 4D development model—define, design, and develop—ending at the validation phase. During the define stage, observations and teacher interviews revealed that children showed limited interest and required more visually appealing media to support early literacy. In the design stage, a flowchart and storyboard were created to guide the structure, content arrangement, and interactive features of the media. The develop stage involved producing the learning media by integrating child-friendly visuals, simple text, audio elements, and interactive navigation. The resulting product was then validated by material and media experts. The validation results showed that the media achieved 92.86% from the material expert and 92.5% from the media expert, both categorized as “Highly Valid.” These results indicate that the media is feasible and appropriate to support early reading literacy.

Abstract

This study examines efforts to revitalize the lexicon of flora and fauna in the Madurese language as a form of both linguistic preservation and safeguarding of endangered indigenous ecological wisdom. Employing ecolinguistic and linguistic ethnographic approaches, the research analyzes natural lexicons that are disappearing due to language shift, modernization, and environmental degradation. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with native speakers, analysis of traditional documents (folklore, mantras, and proverbs), and participatory observation in Madurese communities. The findings reveal that: (1) Madurese flora-fauna lexicons embody complex ecological concepts, such as medicinal plant classifications and wildlife knowledge systems; (2) The threat of lexicon extinction is driven by sociolinguistic factors (dominance of Indonesian) and ecological pressures (land-use changes); (3) Effective revitalization strategies include integration into local-content education, digital documentation, and reinforcement of environmentally rooted customary practices. The study concludes that preserving Madurese natural lexicons is not merely a linguistic concern but also a critical resistance to socio-ecological crises. These findings recommend an interdisciplinary approach combining linguistics and political ecology to restore the relationship between language, indigenous knowledge, and environmental sustainability.
