Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of ownership structure as measured by managerial and institutional ownership on capital structure as measured by debt to total assets, debt to total equity and long term debt to total equity and financial performance as measured by return on assets, return on equity and return on investment. This study also uses partial least squares (PLS) analysis for the influence of exogenous and endogenous variables which ultimately affect financial performance. The research sample is a state-owned company (BUMN) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a research period of 2013 - 2017. Data were obtained from the Data Stream and IDX website. By using the PLS analysis of the fit measurement model, does ownership structure have a positive effect on financial performance, ownership structure has a positive effect on capital structure and capital structure has a positive effect on financial performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan tongkat tunanetra berbasis Internet of Things yang dilengkapi Headset kabel untuk meningkatkan keselamatan dan kemandirian individu dengan gangguan penglihatan. Tongkat ini menggunakan sensor ultrasonik untuk mendeteksi rintangan dan GPS untuk penentuan lokasi, dengan output informasi berupa sinyal audio melalui headset dan speaker. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki mobilitas tunanetra dengan mengurangi gangguan eksternal dan meningkatkan deteksi halangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi-eksperimental. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Universitas Bali Internasional dengan sampel 30 orang secara acak, pada bulan Juni 2024. Hasil analisis menunjukkan tongkat ini memiliki akurasi tinggi dalam mendeteksi jarak dan lokasi, dengan nilai  value (>0,05) yang menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan dibandingkan alat ukur standar seperti roll meter dan google maps. Pengujian ketepatan suara juga mengindikasikan bahwa alat memberikan sinyal audio sesuai dengan perancangan awal tanpa adanya delay antara headset dan speaker. Kesimpulannya, tongkat ini efektif dalam meningkatkan keselamatan dan kemandirian tunanetra dengan menyediakan informasi akurat melalui headset serta memungkinkan navigasi yang lebih aman di lingkungan yang ramai.

Abstract

Introduction: Cognitive function in older adults often declines, particularly affecting short-term memory. Older adults may also experience difficulties in learning new information, adapting to changes, and recognizing people, places, and objects. One approach to improving cognitive function is memory games therapy. This study aims to examine the effect of memory game therapy on the cognitive function of older people. Methods: This research employed a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. The study was conducted in September 2024 in Tuban Regency. The population consisted of 36 older adults experiencing cognitive decline, and a sample of 33 participants was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was the "Memory Card," and cognitive function was measured using the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with a significance level of α = 0.05. Results: Most respondents were female (54.5%), and 63.6% were aged 60–74. Most participants had completed senior high school (42.5%). Before the intervention, 30.3% of respondents had severe cognitive impairment. After the intervention, 45.5% had mild impairment, and 15.2% showed normal cognitive function. Memory games therapy significantly affected cognitive function in older adults (ρ = 0.000). Conclusion: The findings of this study demonstrate the effectiveness of memory game therapy in improving the cognitive function of older adults. Therefore, it is recommended that nurses incorporate memory game therapy as an intervention in Older Adults' Integrated Service Post activities.

Abstract

Penyebaran berita hoaks di media digital, khususnya dalam konteks politik, semakin marak dan berdampak negatif terhadap persepsi publik serta stabilitas sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengelompokkan berita politik berbahasa Indonesia menggunakan model IndoBERT sebagai representasi teks dan algoritma K-Means Clustering sebagai metode klasterisasi, guna membedakan berita hoaks dan fakta. IndoBERT digunakan untuk menghasilkan vektor representasi kata berbasis konteks yang lebih akurat dibanding metode konvensional seperti TF-IDF dan Word2Vec Vektor ini kemudian dikelompokkan menggunakan K-Means Clustering untuk membentuk klaster berdasarkan kemiripan semantik.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ini berhasil memisahkan berita ke dalam dua klaster utama, yaitu hoaks dan fakta, dengan hasil evaluasi kuantitatif berupa nilai Silhouette Score sebesar 0,21. Validasi manual terhadap 200 sampel berita menunjukkan bahwa klaster yang terbentuk memiliki tingkat akurasi klasifikasi sebesar 88% untuk berita fakta dan 82% untuk berita hoaks. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa kombinasi IndoBERT dan K-Means Clustering efektif digunakan sebagai alat bantu dalam identifikasi berita hoaks secara otomatis dan unsupervised. Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan penggunaan dataset yang lebih luas dan penggabungan dengan pendekatan supervised untuk hasil yang lebih optimal.

Abstract

The low academic performance of fourth-grade students in the IPAS subject (a combination of science and social studies in the Merdeka Curriculum) in Sleman Regency raises concerns about the effectiveness of curriculum implementation. Preliminary surveys revealed that an unsupportive learning environment and students’ lack of discipline were key contributing factors. This study aims to examine the simultaneous influence of the learning environment and disciplinary attitude on IPAS learning outcomes. A descriptive quantitative approach with an ex post facto research design was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to fourth-grade students at public elementary schools in Sleman Regency and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26. The F-test results indicate a significant simultaneous influence of the learning environment and disciplinary attitude on IPAS learning outcomes, with an F-value of 43.374 and a significance level of 0.000 (< 0.05). The t-test results show that both the learning environment (t = 7.463; sig = 0.000) and disciplinary attitude (t = 2.726; sig = 0.007) have a positive and significant individual influence. These findings highlight the importance of a conducive learning environment and student discipline in improving learning outcomes. The study provides insights for educators and parents to develop more effective learning strategies.

Abstract

The low learning independence of grade IV elementary school students in Bantul Regency is a concern in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum which contains the Pancasila Student Profile with the dimension of learning independence. Based on the results of the pre-research, it is indicated that there are problems with learning independence such as students lacking confidence, discipline, initiative, and responsibility. This study aims to determine the influence of learning motivation and the role of parents on the learning independence of students in stealth. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires on learning motivation, parental roles, and learning independence of grade IV elementary school students in Bantul Regency to the sample and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS. The results of the F test showed that learning motivation and the role of parents in stealth had a positive and significant effect on the learning independence of students with an F value of 14.652 and a significance of 0.000 (< 0.05). The t-test showed that learning motivation (t=16.173, sig=0.000) and parental role (t=17.782, sig=0.000) had a positive and significant effect on learning independence, respectively. These findings reinforce the importance of learning motivation and the role of parents in increasing learning independence. This research is expected to be a reference for teachers and parents in creating more effective learning strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji konflik normatif antara hak tanggungan atas tanah dalam hukum agraria nasional dan hukum perwakafan dalam perspektif hukum Islam. Sistem hukum Indonesia mengakui hak tanggungan sebagai jaminan pelunasan utang yang dapat dibebankan pada hak atas tanah, sementara hukum Islam menegaskan bahwa tanah wakaf adalah harta yang bersifat abadi, tidak boleh diperjualbelikan, diwariskan, atau dijadikan objek jaminan utang. Konflik muncul ketika tanah yang telah diwakafkan dijadikan objek hak tanggungan, baik disengaja maupun tidak, yang berpotensi melanggar prinsip-prinsip syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode normatif dengan pendekatan yuridis, fikih, dan maqashid syariah untuk menganalisis status hukum tanah wakaf yang dijaminkan, interseksi antara hak tanggungan dan hukum wakaf, serta menawarkan solusi hukum Islam yang aplikatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlunya harmonisasi regulasi dan penegakan hukum yang menghormati prinsip syariah serta kepastian hukum nasional agar tanah wakaf tidak disalahgunakan sebagai objek jaminan utang, sekaligus mengoptimalkan fungsi sosial dan spiritual wakaf dalam pembangunan umat.

Abstract

Management of Hazardous and Toxic Waste (B3) in Indonesia still faces various challenges, especially in the aspects of education and outreach which are not yet evenly distributed and effective. This service activity aims to assess the effectiveness of educational programs in increasing the understanding and compliance of the community and workers with B3 waste management procedures. Using a qualitative approach, data was obtained through pre-test and post-test, observation of socialization participants from various sectors. The results of service activities show that participatory and contextual-based training methods, such as Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and field simulations, are able to increase participants' knowledge and compliance significantly. However, the success of the program is highly dependent on the availability of resources, appropriate educational media, and cross-sector involvement. Therefore, the government and related agencies are advised to develop sustainable education programs that are adapted to the literacy level of participants and the local context, in order to strengthen the B3 waste management system that is oriented towards protecting health and the environment.

Abstract

Background: One of the most common degenerative diseases among the elderly is hypertension. Headaches are one of the symptoms of hypertension; if not addressed promptly, headaches in hypertensive patients can lead to sleep disturbances, anxiety, emotional instability, and ultimately affect the patient's quality of life. One non-pharmacological management that can be employed to address headaches is guided imagery therapy with instrumental music. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of guided imagery therapy with instrumental music on the level of headaches in elderly hypertensive patients in Dusun Krajan, Desa Bektiharjo, Semanding. Method: The research design in this study is a quantitative pre-experimental using the one group pre-test post-test design method. The population in this study consists of elderly hypertensive patients experiencing headaches, totaling 25 elderly individuals, with a sample selected through purposive sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 23 elderly individuals. Result: The results of the conducted research showed that elderly individuals with mild headache levels after undergoing therapy for 3 consecutive days exhibited a decrease in pain levels. After being analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with a significance level of α=<0.05, with a p-value of 0.000<0.05, the result obtained was an Asymp sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Conclusion : It can be concluded that H1 is accepted, which means that guided imagery therapy with instrumental music has an effect on the level of headache in elderly hypertensive patients in Dusun Krajan, Desa Bektiharjo, Semanding. The guided imagery technique is a method that helps achieve deep relaxation, creating relaxation in various ways that can control the nervous system, ultimately lowering blood pressure, thereby alleviating headaches caused by elevated blood pressure.

Abstract

This study investigated the association between pesticide spraying practices and hypertension in horticultural farmers in Bumen Village, Sumowono District, Indonesia. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 132 male farmers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through structured interviews, blood pressure measurements, and field observations. Logistic regression revealed that mixing ≥2 pesticide types (OR=4.828; p=0.028), spraying ≥4 times per week (OR=4.552; p=0.010), and incomplete PPE use (OR=3.551; p=0.015) were significantly associated with hypertension. These findings underscore the need for stricter pesticide regulation, improved PPE use, and regular health monitoring to reduce health risks among farmers.
