Abstract

(AR) and (VR) are considered effective educational tools for promoting meaningful learning processes, increasing student engagement, and encouraging active participation. However, there are still differences of opinion among academics regarding the extent to which these learning media actually help students develop their practical skills. Using a meta-analysis methodology, this study aims to thoroughly examine the effectiveness of using (VR) and (AR) in improving practical skills in vocational education. The PRISMA approach, which includes identification, screening, and inclusion steps, was used to screen scientific publications published in the last five years (2020–2025) that were accessible through Google Scholar and SCOPUS. The field of research and year of publication were the basis for the inclusion criteria. Of the 546 items found, 6 were eligible for analysis. Significance tests and effect size calculations were used to analyze the data. With an effect size of 0.754 and a p-value of 0.025 < 0.05, the meta-analysis findings indicate that the use of VR and AR has a moderate impact on improving practical skills and is free from potential data bias. These findings have important implications for educators and policymakers who wish to use VR and AR as crucial teaching and learning techniques.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of science applications in contextual learning in improving students' science literacy. This study uses a quantitative approach with a single group pretest and posttest design on eighth grade students of junior high schools in urban areas. Data were collected through science literacy tests based on literacy competency indicators, learning implementation observation sheets, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were performed using descriptive analysis, calculation of learning outcome improvement, and mean difference tests. The results showed that the application of science-based contextual learning was able to significantly optimise students' science literacy, especially in the competencies of explaining scientific phenomena, designing and evaluating scientific investigations, and interpreting scientific data and evidence. Learning that integrates real-life contexts, local knowledge, and problem solving has been proven to make the learning process more meaningful and optimise student engagement. These findings indicate that science application-based contextual learning is effective as a strategy for improving science literacy in science learning.

Abstract

Sistem rekomendasi dosen pembimbing merupakan solusi inovatif yang dirancang untuk membantu mahasiswadalam menentukan dosen pembimbing tugas akhir yang paling sesuai dengan bidang keahlian dan topikpenelitian mereka. Dalam lingkungan akademik, proses pemilihan dosen pembimbing seringkali menemuikendala, terutama ketika jumlah mahasiswa dan dosen yang tersedia tidak seimbang, serta kurangnya informasitentang kesesuaian bidang penelitian. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sebuah sistemrekomendasi berbasis web yang dapat memberikan saran dosen secara objektif dan efisien.Sistemdikembangkan menggunakan algoritma Collaborative Filtering yang berfungsi untuk menganalisis preferensidan kesamaan antar mahasiswa, serta mencocokkannya dengan bidang keahlian dosen yang tersedia. Faktorfaktor yang dipertimbangkan dalam proses rekomendasi antara lain judul dan bidang skripsi yang diinput olehmahasiswa serta kuota bimbingan yang masih tersedia dari masing-masing dosen. Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan keterampilan esensial abad ke-21, khususnya dalam pembelajaran Informatika pada materi membaca lateral yang menuntut evaluasi informasi secara mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara literasi digital dan kegunaan teknologi (technology usefulness) dengan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik fase E di SMAN 16 Padang. Pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Sampel terdiri dari 80 peserta didik yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Instrumen berupa angket dan tes esai digunakan untuk mengukur variabel penelitian. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil menunjukkan hubungan signifikan antara literasi digital (r = 0,734; p < 0,01) dan kegunaan teknologi (r = 0,749; p < 0,01) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis. Secara simultan, keduanya berkontribusi sebesar 88,1% terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis (R² = 0,881). Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya literasi digital dan persepsi positif terhadap teknologi dalam mendukung pengembangan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Media Pembelajaran Pengenalan Kabel Fiber Optik dan Peralatan Fiber Optik Menggunakan Teknologi Augmented Reality berbasis Marker Based Tracking sebagai sarana pembelajaran interaktif pada mata pelajaran Dasar-Dasar Teknik Jaringan Komputer dan Telekomunikasi di SMKN 8 Padang. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) yang meliputi tahap Concept, Design, Material Collecting, Assembly, Testing, dan Distribution. Hasil penelitian dan perancangan media pembelajaran ini adalah aplikasi android sebagai media pembelajaran yang membantu proses pembelajaran berbasis teknologi Augmented Reality. Aplikasi ini mendapatkan penilaian kelayakan tinggi dari ahli materi dengan skor persentase 89,33% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”, dan dari ahli media dengan skor persentase 90% dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”, serta dari responden praktikalitas, yaitu siswa dengan skor persentase 92,35% dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis”. Berdasarkan hasil perancangan dan validasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi serta responden praktikalitas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Media Pembelajaran Pengenalan Kabel Fiber Optik dan Peralatan Fiber Optik Menggunakan Teknologi Augmented Reality ini “Sangat Layak” untuk digunakan.

Abstract

This research aims to develop, assess the validity, and determine student responses to a Liveworksheet-based e-module on Energy Efficiency in Small and Medium Enterprises as a learning resource for vocational students. The research and development (R&D) method employed the ADDIE model, which includes stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The e-module was developed using the Liveworksheet application to enhance interactivity and engagement. Data analysis of validity and student responses was conducted quantitatively using descriptive percentage techniques. The results show that the e-module achieved an average validity score of 92.62% from material experts, media experts, and education practitioners, categorized as very good and suitable for implementation. Student response tests conducted in two stages—small class trials with a score of 92.5% and large class trials with a score of 91.34%—both fall within the very good category. These results indicate that the developed e-module is valid, practical, and feasible to be used as an effective digital learning resource in vocational education.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an Android-based E-Module as a learning medium for Informatics subjects. The E-Module is designed to enhance students’ interest, motivation, and learning outcomes, enabling them to better understand the material comprehensively. The study adopts the IDI (Instructional Development Institute) method, which includes the stages of define, develop, and evaluate. Primary data collected from media experts, lecturers, and students were analyzed using descriptive analysis to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the media. The findings reveal that, The E-Module is highly valid in terms of material (0.94) and media aspects (0.94). Its practicality is rated as practical by teachers (88.33%) and very practical by students (93.55%). The E-Module effectively improves student learning outcomes, with an increase in the number of students meeting the KKM standard to 88.33%. In conclusion, the E-Module is valid, practical, and effective as a learning medium for enhancing students’ interest, motivation, understanding, and competence.

Abstract

Understanding programming algorithms, is a basic competency that must be mastered by high school students in informatics subjects. However, students have difficulty in mastering programming algorithm material as seen by the learning outcomes of students who are still below the KKM, the use of learning media is still conventional (ordinary printed books, whiteboards, limited teaching modules, LCD projectors as well as power points). This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) research method with the 4D development model which consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, development, and disseminate. The data analysis technique used is descriptive data analysis to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed learning media. The results of this development research are informatics e-modules. The results of feasibility validity media experts in the very feasible category, the results of feasibility validity material experts in the very feasible category, the results of practicality teachers in the very practical category, the results of practicality testing by students in the very practical category, and the results of Paired Samples Test testing obtained data Sig < 0.005 (0.001 < 0.005), Tcount > Ttable (3.734 > 20.040) means effective, so this media is valid, practical, and effective to use as learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of client-server-based learning media for Object-Oriented Programming courses in the Informatics Study Program at PGRI University of West Sumatra. The research employed the Research and Development method with the ADDIE model. Validation was conducted by media and material experts, with media validation reaching 77.55% (valid category) and material validation 83.90% (highly valid category). Practicality testing by lecturers showed a practicality level of 87.00% and by students 86.31% (very practical category). Learning effectiveness was measured through learning outcome tests with a classical completeness rate of 96.67% and an N-Gain value of 0.687 (medium category). The results indicate that the developed client-server-based learning media is valid, practical, and effective for distance learning in Object-Oriented Programming courses.

Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of interactive media on students' learning outcomes through a meta-analysis approach. A total of 25 relevant studies published between 2019 and 2024 were analyzed using the Restricted Maximum Likelihood (ML) method in a random-effects model. The results show a moderate effect size (Cohen’s d = 0.495) with substantial heterogenety (I² = 89.27%). Publication bias was tested using a funnel plot, Egger’s test, and fail-safe N analysis, confirming the validity of the findings. The results indicate that interactive media significantly enhance student learning outcomes across various educational contexts. These findings suggest that teachers and policymakers should integrate interactive media into science education to foster student engagement and improve learning effectiveness. Future research should explore the long-term impact and optimal implementation strategies for interactive media in diverse learning environments.
