Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of gamification in Informatics learning on students’ motivation and academic achievement in Grade VII at SMP Negeri 27 Padang. A quasi-experimental method was employed with two groups: an experimental class using gamification and a control class using conventional teaching, involving 64 students. The results show that gamification significantly enhances both motivation and learning outcomes. The average pretest score in the experimental class increased from 66.37 to 85.00 in the posttest, while the control class rose from 66.43 to 75.23. Statistical analysis revealed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. The findings suggest that incorporating gamification elements such as points, badges, and challenges creates a more engaging and effective learning environment. In conclusion, gamification serves as an innovative pedagogical strategy to address low motivation and achievement in Informatics education, aligning with the characteristics of 21st-century digital-native learners.

Abstract

Vector learning is a fundamental component of physics and engineering but is often perceived as difficult due to its abstract concepts. This study aims to map publication trends, instructional models, and the effectiveness of vector learning from 2016 to 2025 through a systematic literature review and limited meta-analysis. Twenty-one articles from Scopus, Sinta 1–2, and DOAJ were analyzed using the PRISMA protocol. Seven quantitative studies were synthesized through meta-analysis using JASP, while fourteen were reviewed narratively. The findings show a steady increase in publications, with notable peaks in 2018 and 2020. Problem-based learning and augmented reality emerged as the most widely implemented instructional approaches. The pooled effect size indicates a large impact (d = 1.01), with augmented reality (d = 0.74) and blended learning (d = 0.62) showing high effectiveness. Narrative synthesis highlights conceptual difficulties, ongoing media innovation, and the development of supporting teaching materials. The study concludes that vector learning research remains active but requires further exploration in AI integration, web-based gamification, and long-term retention assessment.

Abstract

This study developed a web-based application for the classification and detection of tomato leaf diseases using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and You Only Look Once (YOLO) models. The research followed a Research and Development approach that consisted of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, model training, and testing. The CNN model was trained to classify tomato leaf images into specific disease categories, while the YOLO model was designed to detect and localize diseased areas in real time. Both models were integrated into a Flask-based web system to provide accessible and interactive functionality through standard web browsers. Testing results showed that the CNN model achieved an accuracy of 96.1%, effectively identifying disease types such as Early Blight and Bacterial Spot. The YOLO model reached a mean Average Precision (mAP) of 87.3% for real-time detection, successfully locating and labeling infected regions on tomato leaves. The integration of CNN and YOLO models demonstrated strong classification and detection performance, offering an efficient and scalable solution to support early disease diagnosis and digital transformation in precision agriculture.

Abstract

The rapid proliferation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) in K–12 education has generated a substantial body of research, yet how its core themes emerge, converge, and transform over time remains insufficiently understood. Existing bibliometric and topic modeling approaches produce static snapshots of the literature, structurally incapable of capturing the dynamic epistemic processes through which research communities form and evolve. This study introduces Dynamic Semantic Network Analysis with Evolutionary Community Detection (DSNA-ECD), a novel computational framework that conceptualizes the K–12 LMS research field as a living epistemic system — a conceptual reframing that constitutes a distinct contribution to the K–12 LMS literature beyond prior static approaches. DSNA-ECD integrates three methodologically principled components: transformer-based semantic embeddings via Sentence-BERT (`all-MiniLM-L6-v2`), selected for its capacity to capture latent semantic proximity beyond lexical co-occurrence; a hybrid weighting scheme empirically calibrated to balance structural and semantic network signals; and the Leiden algorithm for community detection, preferred over Louvain for its theoretical guarantee of well-connected partitions and superior modularity optimization. Applied to a two-decade corpus of K–12 LMS publications, findings reveal a maturing field progressing from exploratory fragmentation through consolidation toward sophisticated integration of AI-enhanced adaptive systems and learning analytics. Compared to co-citation analysis, LDA topic modeling, and static semantic networks, DSNA-ECD uniquely offers semantic depth, guaranteed community coherence, calibrated hybrid weighting, and full cross-temporal trajectory tracking. Critically, findings reveal urgent underrepresentation of equity, algorithmic transparency, and ethical deployment research as AI-enhanced LMS systems proliferate, with direct implications for researchers, educational technologists, and policymakers.

Abstract

This study aims to clarify contemporary advancements in the incorporation of smart technology into Vocational Technology Education (VTE) and to devise strategic implications for curriculum development. We used a bibliometric analysis and a systematic literature review to look at 128 indexed publications from the Scopus and Web of Science databases that were published between 2015 and 2024. Data were analysed using bibliometric techniques using VOSviewer for keyword network mapping, supported by thematic analysis to generate qualitative insights. The results show that there are three basic conclusions. First, there has been a big increase in the number of publications. Between 2020 and 2024, 73% of studies were published. This is because digital transformation sped up after the pandemic. Second, the discipline is naturally multidisciplinary, with Technology Education (34%), Computer Science (28%), and Engineering Education (22% being the most important areas. Third, keyword analysis finds three main groups of ideas: new ways of teaching and developing the curriculum; using new technologies like AI, IoT, digital twins, and blockchain; and meeting the needs of Industry 4.0/5.0. The report highlights the pressing necessity to recalibrate VTE courses to enhance digital literacy, technical skills, and adaptability. Some of the most important suggestions are to use simulation-based hybrid learning, add digital twin technologies, strengthen triple helix collaboration, and make a long-term plan for digital transformation in vocational education

Abstract

Manual inventory recording and heuristic ordering practices remain common among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), often leading to inaccurate demand estimation, excessive holding costs, and stockouts. This study develops and evaluates a web-based inventory information system that integrates Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) forecasting with the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model to improve decision accuracy and cost efficiency. The system uses CodeIgniter 3 and MySQL and incorporates a Python-based time-series forecasting engine. Historical sales data were modeled using ARIMA, and the optimal specification was selected based on Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) and Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC). The ARIMA(1,1,1) model achieved a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 8.47%, indicating high forecasting accuracy for operational planning. The forecasted annual demand was integrated into the EOQ framework to determine the optimal order quantity, Reorder Point (ROP), and probabilistic Safety Stock. A one-year cost simulation demonstrated that the EOQ-based policy reduced total inventory costs by 22.73% compared with the existing approach. Functional validation through Black-Box testing confirmed full compliance with specified requirements. These findings demonstrate that integrating predictive analytics with classical inventory optimization enhances operational efficiency and reduces total inventory cost. The system provides a practical, data-driven inventory management framework for MSMEs undergoing digital transformation.
