Abstract

Because of the resources limitation so resource allocation is a fundamental issue for public sector budgeting especially revenue and expenditure calculation. Regional budget distribution shows local government policies on development funding whereas capital expenditure is concerned with a component of direct expenditure of government budgets that deliver output in the form of fixed asset. This study purposes to determine factors that impress capital expenditure allocation of local governments, are Economic Growth and Regional Revenue (PAD). The population of this study is 35 local governments in the Province of Central Java, Indonesia. By employing multiple regression analysis, t and F test on secondary data from the 2015-2020 Budget Realization Reports of local governments in the Central Java Province, the result shows that economic growth and regional income partially and simultaneously have a positive effect on capital expenditure. These findings imply that local governments should look more carefully at managing their finances, have a strong desire, and provide capital for capital expenditures that have implications for the long-term welfare of local communities. The limitation of this research is that this research is carried out with a quantitative approach and to find out the real conditions in decision making on local government budgeting, it is recommended for further research to use a mixed quantitative and qualitative method.

Abstract

Abstract

Background. Student reasoning in learning mathematics contributes significantly to the achievement of student mathematics learning outcomes. The main objective of this study is to investigate the process of reversible reasoning in students for inverse problems, in the case of Adjie (Ad). The research method used to reveal the reversible reasoning in Adjie's case using descriptive qualitative research methods. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique where the research sample was selected based on reversible reasoning criteria. Retrieval research data uses the results of students' mathematical work, think aloud, interviews, and the components that cause reversible reasoning. The results of our study found that the process begins with an obstacle that causes Ad to be unable to continue the resolution process, resulting in a metacognition process by analyzing the problem again analytically and developing other heuristic strategies. Ad shows a change in perspective where he initially interpreted inverse as the act of swapping independent and dependent variables and switched to interpreting inverse as the opposite of a function process involving analogy and image representation. The contribution of this research provides knowledge that reversible reasoning can occur in understanding and solving mathematical problems in inverse material.   Latar belakang.

Abstract

Abstract

Modern geography education necessitates technology-integrated materials to visualize complex spatial phenomena effectively. Addressing this need, this study employs the ADDIE model to develop "IC-Learn," an E-Module based on the I-Care learning framework, designed to enhance students' understanding of localized landslide disasters. The research objectives are twofold: 1) to develop the IC-Learn E-Module using Articulate Storyline, and 2) to evaluate its feasibility and effectiveness in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes. The module was tested on Year XII students using a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. Validity tests by material and media experts confirmed the product’s high feasibility. Statistical analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test yielded a significance value of <0.05, confirming that the intervention significantly impacted student knowledge. Furthermore, the effectiveness test resulted in an N-Gain score of 0.48 (Medium category). In the context of this research, this value implies that while the IC-Learn module effectively bridges the gap between prior knowledge and new cognitive understanding, it is most potent when utilized as a complementary pedagogical tool rather than a standalone instructional method. Consequently, the study concludes that while the I-Care based E-Module is a valid and effective instrument for disaster mitigation education, its optimal implementation requires a blended learning approach where digital interaction is reinforced by teacher scaffolding

Abstract

Geography learning often struggles to convey the complex concepts of natural resource management because traditional methods lack the immersive depth needed to show system interactions. In agroforestry education, cultivating analytical thinking is particularly difficult because students find it nearly impossible to imagine complex management processes and the dynamic relationships between nature and human activities. This research aims to develop Agroforestry Virtual Field Trip (VFT) media in improving students' analytical thinking skills. The method used is Research and Development with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The evaluation includes formative evaluation and summative evaluation through one group pretest-posttest analysis and user response questionnaire using Short-UEQ instrument. The results showed that the VFT media reached a high level of validity, with scores of 96% from material experts and 90% from media experts. The intervention had a significant effect on students' analytical thinking skills, supported by a normalized gain (N-Gain) of 0.42. While the results were statistically significant (p < 0.001), which is considered a medium improvement. Student feedback was also very positive; scores for both pragmatic and hedonic quality reached the "Excellent" category according to the UEQ benchmark. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the immersive and interactive virtual environment in the Agroforestry VFT effectively facilitates the improvement of students' analytical thinking skills, becomes an innovative learning resource that supports independent learning, and strengthens the understanding of concepts based on local potential.

Abstract

The erosion problem in the upper Brantas watershed is closely linked to land-use change and increasing economic pressure on local communities, making it a relevant topic in Geography learning. However, Geography instruction at Panjura Malang High School remains largely theoretical, limiting students’ ability to critically analyze environmental problems and spatial phenomena. To address this issue, this study adopts the spatial thinking framework proposed by the National Research Council 2006, which defines spatial problem-solving as a cognitive process integrating spatial concepts, representational tools, and reasoning processes. Based on this framework, the study examines the effect of the Geographical Inquiry learning model on students’ ability to analyze erosion-related spatial phenomena. A quasi-experimental method with a pretest–posttest control group design was applied to two XI IPS classes selected through purposive sampling over four weeks, consisting of eight learning sessions of 2 × 45 minutes. Data were collected through classroom observations and validated essay tests. Independent sample t-test analysis using SPSS showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (t(38) = 2.212; p = 0.033), with higher post-test scores achieved by the experimental group. Simple regression analysis also indicated that the Geographical Inquiry model significantly improved students’ spatial problem-solving ability (F(1,18) = 5.181; p = 0.035). These results suggest that the Geographical Inquiry model is an effective alternative learning strategy for improving spatial problem-solving skills, although its implementation requires adequate spatial data and active teacher guidance.
