Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the language style in Robert Frost’s poem called "The Sound of Trees" in terms of frozen style, formal style, consultative style, casual style and intimate style. This poem is viewed from sociolinguistics study analysis by using Martin Joos theory as a guide to analyse the language style in Robert Frost’s poem. This study used descriptive method to analyze the data. Frozen language style used in an important document, in court also reciting a pledge. Formal style follows the speech most recognized by people in society. It is used when one in a particular place or situation. Consultative language style aims by the person between strangers, person to person without using slangs. This type of style stills has boundaries and limit in which who is someone talking to. Casual style can be used with acquaintance or the person you just meet. Intimate style frequently used in term when a person already know the target person. It can be between family members, couples and close friend.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja pegawai, pengaruh komunikasi terhadap kinerja pegawai, pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai, dan pengaruh budaya organisasi, komunikasi, dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh melalui kuisioner. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pegawai Kecamatan Batu Aji sebanyak 43 pegawai, dengan menggunakan teknik sampling sensus. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: budaya organisasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, komunikasi berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, motivasi kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai, budaya organisasi, komunikasi, dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Kata kunci: Kinerja Pegawai, Budaya Organisasi, Komunikasi, Motivasi Kerja

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of training on employee performance, the effect of motivation on employee performance, the effect of career development on employee performance, the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance, and the effect of training, motivation, career development, and job satisfaction on employee performance. The population of this research is employees of PT. OZF as many as 105 people. The research sample was 105 respondents, using census sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire. Data analysis using multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing using SPSS version 25. The results of the study are as follows: Training has a significant effect on employee performance, motivation has a significant effect on employee performance, career development has a significant effect on employee performance and job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance, and training, motivation, career development, and job satisfaction simultaneously affect employee performance.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai, kompetensi terhadap kinerja pegawai, penghargaan terhadap kinerja pegawai, remunerasi terhadap kinerja pegawai, dan pengaruh disiplin kerja, kompetensi, penghargaan, dan remunerasi secara simultan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Populasi penelitian ini adalah Pegawai Jabatan Fungsional Pengelola Pengadaan Barang/Jasa Di Provinsi Kepulauan Riau yang berjumlah 67 orang. Sampel terdiri dari 67 responden, sampel diambil dengan metode sensus. Analisis data menggunakan regresi berganda dan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan alat uji SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian adalah disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, penghargaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, remunerasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Disiplin kerja, kompetensi, penghargaan dan remunerasi secara simultan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai.

Abstract

One of the reasons for the success of the teaching and learning process in the classroom is the teacher's belief system. Belief guides one’s thinking, action, and understanding of events. The level of beliefs in the teaching process needs to be probed before teachers critically manifest their teaching practices and facilitate outcome changes. In Indonesia, the independent curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka), which was regulated in 2022, directs the teaching English since elementary school. The present study aims to assess the teachers' belief system in teaching English to elementary school students as the “Kurikulum Merdeka”implementation spirit. The study involved 32 English teachers. The questionnaire assessed the teachers' beliefs about teaching English to elementary school students in 3 areas: the nature of children's English development, methods and techniques, and self-efficacy. There was also 1 open-ended question addressed to teachers to investigate their level of beliefs in teaching English among elementary school students. Data analysis is described in the form of descriptive statistics, independent t-test analysis, and content analysis. The results of this study indicate that the international school environment has a better level of belief than the national-plus school. Meanwhile, there was no difference in the level of belief in teaching among teachers with different educational backgrounds when they were in college.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana manajemen sistem pengawasan sumber daya kelautan dan perikanan oleh Kantor SATKER PSDKP Tanjung Balai Karimun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa manajemen sistem pengawasan sumber daya kelautan dan perikanan yang diterapkan di Kantor SATKER PSDKP Tanjung Balai Karimun sudah sesuai dengan teori tentang pengawasan menurut M. Manullang (2012), dimana dalam melaksanakan kegiatan controlling, pimpinan mengadakan pemeriksaan, pencocokan, serta mengupayakan agar kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilaksanakan sesuai dengan rencana yang telah ditetapkan serta tujuan yang ingin dicapai. Dari hasil analisis SWOT diperoleh beberapa strategi, yaitu: 1). Strategi SO (Strengths-Opportunities) diantaranya meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas pengawasan serta produksi perikanan mengacu pada perjanjian kinerja Pangkalan PSDKP Batam; 2) Strategi ST (Strengths-Threats) diantaranya meningkatkan jumlah kegiatan pemantauan kekayaan laut dengan melakukan kerjasama antar pihak-pihak terkait terutama Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan.; 3). Strategi WO (Weaknesses-Opportunities) dengan cara meningkatkan mutu kegiatan pengawasan dengan menyusun berbagai program yang bervariasi, inovatif, efektif, dan efisien terkait sistem manajemen PSDKP sesuai dengan SDM dan fasilitas yang dimiliki SATKER PSDKP Tanjung Balai Karimun; dan 4). Strategi WT (Weaknesses-Threats) diantaranya manajemen/pimpinan Kantor SATKER PSDKP Tanjung Balai Karimun harus mampu menyusun rencana kerja sebelum melaksanakan kegiatan pengawasan ke lapangan seefisien mungkin sesuai dengan SDM dan fasilitas yang tersedia dengan tidak menyimpang dari perjanjian kinerja yang telah ditetapkan oleh Kantor Pangkalan PSDKP Batam. Penelitian ini sebagai kontribusi untuk membentuk jaminan mutu sistem manajemen PSDKP oleh Kantor SATKER PSDKP Tanjung Balai Karimun.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengamati pengaruh kepribadian, kualitas sumber daya manusia, orientasi kerja dan pengawasan kerja terhadap produktivitas kerja karyawan PT. Cicor Panatec Batam. Populasi penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT.Cicor Panatec Batam dengan jumlah 60 orang dan dalam pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dan metode pengumpulan desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penyebaran kuisioner melalui Google Form dan disebarkan secara daring melalui Whatsapp. Uji coba instrument dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Dari analisis data penelitian menunjukan bahwa Kepribadian, Kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia, Orientasi Kerja dan Pengawasan Kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas kerja karyawan. Variabel Kepribadian, Kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia, Orientasi Kerja dan Pengawasan Kerja mampu menjelaskan variabel Produktivitas Kerja Karyawan sebesar 76,6% dan sisanya sebesar 23,4% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak dimasukkan dalam penelitian ini

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh pengaruh perceived organizational support, human relation, kompetensi, dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. Bank Negara Indonesia, Tbk Kantor Cabang Utama Batam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuisioner. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 147 orang karyawan, dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan rumus Slovin sehingga mendapatkan responden berjumlah 108 orang karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh perceived organizational support berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, human relation berpengaruh tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, kompetensi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. perceived organizational support, human relation, kompetensi, dan disiplin kerja secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan pada PT. Abstract

This research is intended to test and analyze the influence of competence, work coordination, application of information technology, compensation, and work environment on the work performance of good/services procurement committee in BP Batam partially and simultaneously. The goods/services procurement committee are those who are working in BP Batam consists of 3 parties; Pejabat Pembuat Komitmen abbreviated as PPK (commitment-making officer), Kelompok Kerja Pemilihan abbreviated as Pokmil (election working group), and Pengadaan Barang/Jasa Pemerintah abbreviated as PBJ (goods/service procurement). The research approach is descriptive quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The population in this research is all of the staffs collaborated into the goods/services procurement activities. The sample in this research was selected based on a purposive sampling method. 79 staffs were selected consisting of PPK, Pokmil, and PBJ staffs. The results generally revealed that the work performance of goods/servies procurement committee is proven to be influenced by competence, work coordination, application of information technology, compensation, and work environment. Partially it can also be stated that competency, work coordination, application of information technology, compensation, and work environment have a positive influence on the work performance of goods/services procurement committee with a correlation rate of 64.3% based on the adjusted R square value.

Abstract

It is difficult to demand employee productivity, especially when Covid-19 limits social interaction. Continuous extra attention needed so that employee performance gets optimal evidence. By focusing on leadership styles, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction, this study attempts to select how these three factors transmit the performance of ‘Resort X’ employees in the Anambas (Province of Riau Islands, Indonesia). The sample involves the entire population to be asked for information related to relevant questions about these variables through census techniques. After the questionnaires distributed and collected, data validation applied using multiple linear regression methods and IBM SPSS. Effects simultaneously and partially describe that leadership style, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction play a significant role in employee performance. Despite the disruption caused by the global pandemic, it did not change the productivity of employees in promoting and attracting tourist visits. Tourist destinations need to adapt and strive for recovery through optimal resources.
