Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Snowball throwing (ST) cooperative learning model in terms of students' prior knowledge on the ability to understand mathematical concepts for class VII SMP Negeri 13 Makassar. The method used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental research type and a 3 x 2 factorial design. The population in this study were all class VII students of SMP Negeri 13 Makassar totaling 363 people. The sample in this study was class VII 10 as the control class while class VII 4 as the experimental class. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of data analysis using SPSS version 20, the value of F = 0.606 and the value of Sig. = 0.548 > 0.05 so that H0 is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no influence of the snowball throwing cooperative model in terms of students' prior knowledge of the ability to understand mathematical concepts for class VII SMP Negeri 13 Makassar.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model with the Two Stay Two Stray method on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This research is a quasi-experiment with a research design, namely Quasi Experiment Design. The research population involved all class VII students at MTs Madani Alauddin. The research sample was class VII A as the experimental class and VII B as the control class, selected using a simple random sampling technique. The instrument used is a test instrument in the form of a description test. Descriptive and inferential statistical analysis are the methods used for data analysis. This research showed that using the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model with the Two Stay Two Stray method effectively improved the mathematical problem-solving abilities of class VII students at MTs Madani Alauddin Pao-Pao.

Abstract

Problem solving skills are an important foundation in understanding and applying mathematical concepts effectively. This ability is one of the main keys in developing a deep understanding of mathematical problem solving. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the application of the REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferring) learning model on students' mathematics problem solving skills. This quantitative research with a quasi-experiment applies a non-equivalent group design. This study involved students of class VIII MTsN 2 Enrekang. Data in the study were collected through a problem-solving ability-based learning outcomes test. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics through an independent sample t-test. The results showed that REACT effectively improved students' mathematics problem solving skills in class VIII MTsN 2 Enrekang. Thus, the REACT learning model is feasible to enhance and develop students' mathematics problem solving skills.

Abstract

The need for electrical energy for traditional fishermen has greatly increased, considering that almost all equipment is now powered by electricity. Archimedes screw turbines, which are generally used as micro hydro power plants, especially in rivers or dams that incline, can be used as an alternative power generator for traditional fishing boats. This research aims to determine the performance of a five-blade Archimedes screw turbine using Ansys CFX software. The simulation was carried out with a flow velocity at the inlet boundary of 2.5 m/s using the transient simulation method, in order to obtain information about the flow characteristics around the turbine as the turbine rotates. So that the turbine can rotate during the simulation, the turbine domain is set using a Rigid Body Solution, so that its rotation will be influenced by the flow rate entering the turbine as is done in the laboratory. The results of this research will be used to optimize the performance of the turbine so that it can produce maximum power. From the simulation and analysis carried out, it was obtained that the mechanical power was 0.08 Watts and the hydraulic power was 0.49 Watts with a turbine efficiency of 17.28%. Apart from that, the increase in rotation produced by the turbine due to the hydraulic power of the water is directly proportional to the increase in mechanical power and torque in the turbine. The low value of mechanical power and efficiency obtained in this research is caused by the absence of an inclination angle between the inlet and outlet parts of the turbine.

Abstract

This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) or Classroom Action Research (CAR), which aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes for class VIIa students at SMP Negeri 3 Bontonompo by applying the mathematics tree learning media. The subjects of this research were class VIIa students at SMP Negeri 3 Bontonompo, with a total of 32 students, consisting of 16 male and 16 female students. This research was carried out in 2 cycles, and each cycle was carried out in 5 meetings, including a test at the end of each cycle. Data collection was carried out using student learning outcomes tests at the end of each cycle, and observations were carried out every time the learning process took place. The collected data was analyzed using quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. The results achieved after implementing learning actions using the mathematics tree learning media for two cycles were an increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes. This can be seen from the average score of the test results: in cycle I, it was 69 in the high category, increasing in cycle II to 80 in the very high category. According to the observation sheet carried out during the research, there was an increase in students' activeness and activity in the teaching and learning process. Learning using the mathematics tree learning media can create interesting, fun, and meaningful learning situations for students. From the analysis results, it can be concluded that applying the mathematics tree learning media can improve mathematics learning outcomes for class VIIa students at SMP Negeri 3 Bontonompo.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and produce a three tier essay test instrument to identify understanding of mathematical concepts on the material of the system of linear equations of three variables (SPLTV). This research is categorized as development research with the Formative Research development model (Tessmer) through the stages of (1) preliminary, (2) self evaluation, (3) prototyping, and (4) field test. The test subjects in this study were students of class X.2 MAN 1 Soppeng. This development research produces (1) a diagnostic test instrument in the form of a three tier essay test which is used to identify students' understanding of mathematical concepts on SPLTV material; (2) the three tier essay test developed meets the valid criteria because the average score on the CVR and CVI is 1 with a very suitable category, the average results of the one to one stage student response questionnaire trial of 77.78% with a positive category and at the small group stage of 85.19% with a very positive response category, the average result of the analysis of the difficulty level of the question is 0, 54 with a moderate category, the average result of the differentiator analysis of 0.33 with a sufficient category, and the reliability test result of 0.963 with a very high interpretation (reliable), and the results of data analysis of the results of the three tier essay test at the field test stage obtained the average ability to understand the mathematical concepts of class X students. 2 MAN 1 Soppeng in Tier I, which is 46.45%, is in the sufficient category. The results of categorizing the ability to understand the mathematical concepts of students obtained as many as 23.27% have scientific knowledge, 19.81% have misconceptions, 0% have no confidence, and as many as 56.92% lack understanding; (3) students experience errors in understanding the concept of SPLTV material, transformation errors, errors in understanding the problem, and errors in the calculation process. This is because students are less careful in reading and understanding the meaning of the problems they do.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara membuat media pembelajaran Mathlet Eksploratif berbasis AdobeFlashCs6 dengan materi bangun datarsegiempat bernuansa islami untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Model pengembangan ADDIE digunakan untuk penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D), yang terdiri dari analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa Madani Alauddin Pao-Pao, siswa kelas IV B di MI Madani di Kabupaten Gowa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, tim validator memberikan nilai kevalidan 3,9, dengan kategori valid. Hasil kepraktisan didasarkan pada angket respons guru sebesar 89% dengan kategori positif dan lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 1,9 dengan kategori terlaksana seluruhnya. Dari kedua hasil analisis, media memenuhi kriteria praktis. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa media memenuhi kriteria efektif: angket respons siswa sebesar 82% dalam kategori positif, penilaian aktivitas siswa sebesar rata-rata 64% dalam kategori positif, penilaian minat belajar siswa sebesar 69% dalam kategori cukup baik, dan tes hasil belajar sebesar 87,5%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwamedia pembelajaran Mathlet Explorative, yang berbasis AdobeFlash Cs6 pada materi bangun datar segiempat, layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Artikel ini fokus mengkaji bagaimana memodelkan strategi penegakan aturan kelas melalui pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model strategis penerapan aturan sekolah melalui pembelajaran pendidikan agama Islam di sekolah Islam terpadu kota makassar dilaksanakan melalui tahapan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik mengamati, menanya, mencoba, menalar dan mengkomunikasikan peraturan sekolah untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang aman. dan suasana sekolah yang tenteram, sehingga selama proses belajar mengajar siswa, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan merasa berada dalam lingkungan yang kondusif. Abstract

Fenomena pemuda Islam di Era digital yang menghabiskan sebagian besar waktunya dengan gadged (laptop dan handphone) untuk menonton Tik Tok, Youtupe, Instagram, Facebook, Whatshap dan bermain game online. Mereka bisa menghabiskan waktu berjam-jam bermain game sambil nongkrong di kafe atau warung kopi, dari pagi warkop atau kafe dibuka sampai subuh menjelang masih sangup duduk di warkop dan kefe. Sebuah keadaan yang sangat mengkhawatirkan. Bagaimana keadaan generasi Islam di masa mendatang jika pemuda Islam lebih senang bersama gedged, dibandingkan membaca dan belajar. Buku adalah jendela dunia dan membaca merupakan investasi masa depan, tapi pemuda Islam tidak gemar membaca. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut penulis ingin meneliti tentang “Mengembalikan Budaya Membaca Pada Pemuda Islam Di Gampong Deah Teumanah Kecamatan Trienggadeng Kabupaten Pidie”. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan populasi dan sampel pemuda Gampong Deah Teumanah sebanyak 30 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan observasi. Temuan dilapangan 1. Budaya membaca pada kalangan pemuda Islam Di Gampong Deah Teumanah Kecamatan Trienggadeng Kabupaten Pidie Jaya masih tergolong rendah dan belum optimal ini dapat dilihat dari 30 sampel yang ada semuanya lebih sering bermain gedged daripada membaca buku, bahkan ada diantara mereka tidak pernah membaca buku kecuali jika ada tugas dari guru di sekolah. 2. Kendala-kendala dalam mengembalikan budaya membaca pada pemuda Islami Di Gampong Deah Teumanah Kecamatan Trienggadeng Kabupaten Pidie Jaya, adalah kebiasaan anak yang lebih senang bermain gadget daripada membaca buku. 3. Upaya mengembalikan budaya membaca pada pemuda Islam Di Gampong Deah Teumanah Kecamatan Trienggadeng Kabupaten Pidie Jaya, yaitu dengan penyediaan buku-buku bacaan yang mudah diakses oleh masyarakat, perpustakaan yang nyaman dan menarik dengan pelayanan yang mudah dan menyenangkan sehingga orang merasa nyaman berada di perpustakaan. Selain itu adanya sebuah Forum Budaya Membaca Deah Teumanah. Sebuah forum yang menghimpun orang-orang yang peduli akan budaya membaca.

Abstract

The success of students in completing their study program is indicated by the achievements reflected in their Grade Point Average (GPA). Grade Point Average (GPA) is expressed in numerical form and is an academic achievement calculated based on all courses taken in all semesters that have been passed by students. This study aims to obtain a model of external factors that affect Grade Point Average (GPA) and variables that affect Grade Point Average (GPA). The response variable in this study is Grade Point Average (GPA) which is categorical and divided into two categories. The method used is binary logistic regression analysis. This study used primary data with the research subjects being second, third, and fourth-semester students in the Mathematics Education Department of Alauddin Makassar State Islamic University. The indicators on the instrument can be categorized as valid and reliable to measure service variables, learning, facilities and infrastructure, and student interest in entering college. The results of binary logistic regression analysis show that service has a significant effect on Grade Point Average (GPA), besides that learning, facilities, infrastructure, and the number of students enrolling in college have an effect but are not significant on Grade Point Average (GPA).
