Abstract

Highlights: The study's outcomes reveal favorable results regarding nasal enhancement following rhinoplasty, disparities in surgical choices, and variations in patient gender distribution. It is essential to recognize that these preliminary findings, while encouraging, underscore the necessity for additional documentation and research. Abstract: Introduction: Nasal deformity associated with cleft lip has been viewed as one of the most challenging reconstructive problems in rhinoplasty. The common clinical features associated with cleft lip nasal deformity are its lack of symmetry, alar collapse on the affected side, short nasal length, loss of tip definition, obtuse nasal labial angle, and altered columella show among others. The complexity of cleft lip rhinoplasty is demonstrated by the an abundance of technique that is available for its correction. In this case weused the technique modified by Dr. Muhammad Jailani, SpBP-RE in Aceh. Methods: We conducted a retrospective study involving 139 patients who is done the rhinoplasty unilateral operation at Malahayati Hospital from January 2017 to November 2019. Demographic information was recorded such as a ratio between pre–operation and post–operation, gender, and age. Results: Our results has shown the result of comparison between cleft nose before rhinoplasty and cleft nose after rhinoplasty is ±0.26 : ±0.58, and the patients who came to the hospital for rhinoplasty unilateral surgery are 81% of 139 patients. Women (61.2%) experience rhinoplastymore dominant compared to man (38.8%), and the highest age average is between 1 year until 7 years old (71%) Conclusions: Improvement in procedure's duration and better positioning of both nasal tip and nostril. Expected improvements in terms of aesthetic and functions were observed but further documentations still needed.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang dilakukan merupakan bentuk usaha perbaikan ekonomi masyarakat di RT 02 RW 02 Kelurahan Agrowisata Rumbai dengan tujuan dari Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengedukasi masyarakat bagaimana cara memanfaatkan tepung kentucky yang baik dan benar serta mengajarkan memasarkan melalui media online. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah PAR dan dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah telihatnya perubahan pengetahuan warga tentang bagaimana cara mengolah tepung kentucky menjadi olahan makanan yang tepat dan bermanfaat serta memiliki nilai jual yang tinggi dimasyarakat. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil observasi warga. Selain itu juga ditemukan beberapa warga melanjutkan proses pendampingan ini menjadi bentuk sebuah usaha mikro kecil menengah yang mampu memberikan pemasukan tambahan bagi warga tesebut.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The tempat of this research is IAIN Curup, Rejang Lebong Regency. The subject of the study was a student of BKPIconcentration semester VI. Data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews, documentation. Data analysis techniques by means of data collection, data presentation, and conclusions. From the research, it can be seen that knowledge regarding self-concept is many research subjects. BK students' knowledge of their overall self-concept is still looking for their identity and potential, the expectations of BK PI students regarding careers are not all interested in education. Abstract

Problem statement: Libraries have not played an optimal role in supporting Scholarly communication in a university. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the strengthening of the role and function of libraries in supporting Scholarly communication at IAIN Curup. Method: This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out by means of interviews, documentation and surveys. Result: The results of this study indicate that there are several efforts to strengthen the role and function of libraries including 1) optimizing user education and information literacy activities by adding facilities for these activities; 2) conducting online research skills training for the IAIN Curup academic community; 3) providing e-resources; 4) conducting routine focus group discussions and book reviews. Strengthening the traditional role includes adding to collect quantity and quality, disseminate information, and preserve. Strengthening the role of university libraries in a broader way is through information literacy programs, the materials of which are packaged, expanded and harmonized with the dynamics and scope of Scholarly communication. Conclusion: A library is an integral part of a university, therefore its existence must be strengthened. Abstract

Social guidance is guidance given to individuals to get to know their environment so that they can socialize well and become responsible individuals which is carried out at SMP N 2 Rejang Lebong. The social problems that are often faced by students within the scope of school are related to relationships between individuals or relationships between individuals and the social environment such as difficulty in making friends, alienation from group work, and others. Research to know the interpersonal communication of students at school. This type of research is quantitative. The population in this study was students of SMP Negeri 01 and the sample population of class VII A amounted to 30 people and the sample used sampling techniques. Data collection is observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique with product moment correlation statistics. The results of the study The relationship between the effectiveness of student social guidance in interpersonal communication at SMP N 2 Rejang Lebong in grade VII is mostly 29.06% which is included in the influential category, which means that there is a significant influence between peers. The way of interpersonal communication between grade VIII students at SMP N 2 Rejang Lebong is mostly 37.20% who fall into the high category. High here means that most teenagers or students can already communicate with their peers.

Abstract

Program MBKM yang dicanangkan oleh Menteri Nadiem makarim memungkinkan program belajar 3 semester di luar program studi. Berbagai program telah diluncurkan guna mendukung kesiapan berbagai pihak untuk mendukung secara totalitas dan menjadi bagian dari program MBKM. Namun beberapa Kampus dan beberapa mahasiswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam engakses laman MBKM, hal ini disebabkan kurang peka nya mahasiswa terhadap berbagai program MBKM, kurang kemampuan IT mahasiswa, dan berbagai masalah lainnya. Lemahnya kemampuan IT mahasiswa menggerakkan kami untuk memberikan pelatihan serta praktik langsung pembuatan akun serta pendaftaran program yang sedang on Going di program MBKM. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah membentuk serta meningkatkan kemampuan soft skill mahasiswa yang terampil dan terampil menggunakan IT guna mendukung program MBKM. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode Direct instruction dengan pendekatan workshop. Workshop diberikan kepada mahasiswa FKIP Universitas Abulyatama yang berjumlah 28 mahasiswa. Hasil pengabdian dengan metode Direct Insruction menghasilkan mahasiswa yang mampu mengaplikasikan IT dan mampu menggunakan akun MBKM dengan maksimal.

Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to find out what are the values ​​of moral education in forming an Islamic personality in the 4.0 era contained in the book ‘I left him because of him’ by Dunia Jilbab and Ririn Rahayu Astuti Ningrum. This research uses a type of library research (Library Research) with a qualitative approach. The data sources for this research are primary data, namely the book ‘I Leave Him Because of Him by Dunia Jilbab and Ririn Rahayu Astuti Ningrum, and secondary data, namely books or sources from other writings that discuss moral education. Then the data collection technique used in this research is documentation, where the researcher examines books related to the research object. The research results show that morals towards Allah SWT are piety, patience and sincerity, repentance, avoiding immorality, and dhikrullah. Morals towards family are birrul walidain and giving love to children, while morals towards fellow human beings are religious tolerance and mutual advice and encouragement to goodness. Morals towards oneself are not being excessive, being a Muslim woman is expensive, maintaining one's purity, improving oneself, utilizing one's time and having high ideals, and taking lessons from every trial.

Abstract

This article examines the dichotomy of knowledge in Islam from al-Ghazali's perspective. The emergence of al-Ghazali amidst the setbacks and divisions that occurred in the Muslim community due to differences in thought and understanding has had a major impact on the unity of the Muslim community. Al-Ghazali has given birth to new thoughts and, at the same time, created a scientific dichotomy among Muslims. Al-Ghazali has compartmentalized general knowledge with religious knowledge, thus creating a scientific dichotomy that never previously existed among Muslims. This type of library research uses a qualitative approach by examining various related references related to the theme of the article. This paper has produced several important findings. First, al-Ghazali's response to the crisis that occurred in society. Second, the scientific paradigm during al-Ghazali's time and before. Third, al-Ghazali's scientific paradigm and its influence on western and Islamic science; and fourth, al-Ghazali's influence on the dichotomy of science in the Islamic intellectual tradition. These four findings can reveal the great role of al-Ghazali's scientific paradigm and the influence of its dichotomy on the development of Islamic scientific civilization.

Abstract

As the main agents of learning, lecturers and teachers have an important role in influencing the learning process and outcomes both in cognitive aspects, skills, attitudes and values ​​in students (students). Specifically, lecturers not only teach but are also scientists tasked with developing science and technology for society. As educators, lecturers (and teachers) are required to have four competency standards, namely pedagogical, personal, professional and social competencies. This qualitative research aims to determine the professional competence of STKIP Yapis Dompu lecturers. Professional competence is competence related to lecturers' teaching abilities. Data collection was carried out through interviews and document study. The primary data source is the results of the performance evaluation of STKIP Yapis lecturers in the field of learning for the 2021/2022 academic year. The collected data was then processed and analyzed descriptively. Of the 33 lecturers who were evaluated using 10 indicators, 24 people received a "B+" with scores: 282-306 (70.5-76.5); 7 people got a "B" score: 264-279 (268-279) and the remaining 2 people got a "C+" score: 244-250 (61-62.5). The highest score was 306 (76.5) while the lowest score was 244 (61) and conversely, not a single lecturer received an "A" grade. The results of this research conclude that although the professional competence of STKIP Yapis lecturers is generally quite good, it requires continuous improvement in the future.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to reveal the description of reading activities in English textbook used at SMP Negeri 15 Kota Bengkulu viewed from Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy framework in curriculum 2013. This research employed descriptive design which focused on the content analysis of reading activities used in English textbook “Bright: An English Course for Junior High School Students”. Therefore, the source of data in this research was an English Textbook used by the English teacher in SMP Negeri 15 Kota Bengkulu. The results showed that the reading activities covered remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating. It means that reading activities in English textbook used in SMP Negeri 15 Kota Bengkulu are suitable to be used in curriculum 2013 because they covered all stages of cognitive domain based on Bloom’s Taxonomy. Although low order activities are considered to limit students’ critical thinking, they are still also important for meaningful learning, improve knowledge and solving some problems in the classrooms. In addition, based on this study there are some considerations of teachers in applying high-order activities in teaching reading i.e. the students’ level language mastery, the goal of the lesson, and time allocation.
