Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Politeknik METrO Betong Sarawak (PMBS) untuk mengatasi masalah kurangnya pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap prinsip-prinsip dasar akuntansi, yang berdampak pada kemampuan mereka dalam mengelola laporan keuangan dan analisis data akuntansi. Pemilihan topik ini penting karena akuntansi merupakan keterampilan esensial yang diperlukan dalam dunia kerja, terutama di sektor keuangan yang terus berkembang. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai konsep dasar akuntansi dan relevansinya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta dunia usaha. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi ceramah, diskusi interaktif, dan simulasi kasus. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 47 mahasiswa dari jurusan Kewangan di PMBS, di mana mereka dibagi ke dalam kelompok kecil untuk mendorong diskusi dan analisis kasus. Hasil dari kegiatan sosialisasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta, dengan 63,82% mahasiswa memiliki pemahaman akuntansi yang sangat baik. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan ini tidak hanya berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman akuntansi mahasiswa, tetapi juga memperkuat hubungan kerja sama antara Politeknik Negeri Madiun dan PMBS, yang dapat berlanjut ke program-program pengembangan lainnya di masa mendatang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman siswa dalam konsep operasi hitung bilangan kecil. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan model Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik berbantuan Blok Dienes untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Paring Lahung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama dua siklus. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I jumlah siswa yang memperoleh nilai ketuntasan minimal 70 sebanyak 1 siswa (11,1%) dan yang tidak memenuhi nilai ketuntasan minimal 70 sebanyak 8 siswa (88,8%) dengan nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 25, 8. Pada siklus 2 mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, jumlah siswa yang memenuhi nilai ketuntasan minimal 70 sebanyak 10 siswa (90,9%) dan yang tidak memenuhi nilai ketuntasan minimal 70 sebanyak 1 siswa (9,1%) dengan nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 84 ,8. Hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 79,8%. Dapat disimpulkan bantuan bahwa penerapan model Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik dengan Blok Dienes dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Paring Lahung pada operasi hitung bilangan kecil.

Abstract

Integrated social studies learning is a form of integrative learning applied in junior high schools by integrating several disciplines into one subject, namely geography, economics, sociology, and history. This provides obstacles for teachers teaching integrated social studies learning. The study aimed to determine the teachers' constraints and students' understanding of integrated social studies learning at SMPN 41 Medan. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. The study results explain that the teacher's constraints in integrated social studies learning include difficulty understanding learning material outside the science teacher's field, limited time allocation, lack of learning facilities and infrastructure, and differences in each student's characteristics. Student understanding in terms of Integrated IPS learning is very high. This can be seen from students' interest during the learning process. It attracts students' attention with a percentage of 87.5% so that the majority of students in this situation feel the learning process is enjoyable and is considered a positive indication that teaching methods and strategies the learning used by the teacher has succeeded in attracting student interest so that they can understand the Integrated Social Sciences learning material. Students' understanding of social studies learning can be a benchmark for teacher success in integrating several disciplines into one subject.

Abstract

Green synthesis of nanoparticles has garnered significant attention for its sustainable and environmentally friendly approach. Despite extensive research on Artocarpus heterophyllus-derived nanoparticles using seeds, fruits, and rind, the therapeutic potential of its leaf extract remains largely unexplored, particularly in MCF-7 breast cancer cells. The aim of this study was to investigate the potential of aqueous leaf extract from A. heterophyllus as a reducing and capping agent to synthesize silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), as well as to evaluate their anticancer efficacy. The nanoparticles were characterized using ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and particle size analysis to confirm the formation. To evaluate anticancer potential, key oncogenes associated with cancer proliferation and survival were analyzed, including c-Myc, cyclin D1, human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER-2), microRNA-622 (miR-622), and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). The present study demonstrated that AgNPs and AuNPs synthesized from A. heterophyllus extract had distinct sizes and shapes, with AgNPs averaging approximately 12.75 nm and exhibiting a spherical morphology, while AuNPs averaged 109.26 nm and had a pentagonal shape. Furthermore, AuNPs had no anticancer activity. In contrast, AgNPs showed potent anticancer effects, with inhibitory concentration (IC50) values of 124.626 and 54.981 µg/mL at 48 and 72 hours, respectively. The AgNPs treatment increased the proportion of cells in G2/M phase, indicating the induction of mitotic catastrophe leading to cell death. AgNPs downregulated the expression of several oncogenes associated with cancer cell proliferation and survival (cyclin D1, COX-2, HER-2, and miR622), but did not significantly reduce c-Myc expression. In conclusion, AgNPs derived from A. heterophyllus leaf extract have significant potential as a novel therapeutic agent in cancer treatment while preserving its biocompatibility, emphasizing the promise of sustainable and cost-effective synthesis of plant-based nanoparticles.

Abstract

Indonesia as a country of law adheres to the Civil Law system, where the law is stated in systematically arranged laws and regulations. This legal system covers two main areas, namely public law and private law. Criminal law, which is included in public law, aims to regulate the interests of society in general. This law regulates the relationship between the state or society and individuals who violate legal provisions. This type of research is legal research conducted using the type of socio-legal research. Explaining that law can be studied and researched as a study of law that actually lives in society as a non-doctrinal and empirical study. 1. Fulfillment of the right to restitution for victims of serious assault crimes in Indonesia is a crucial aspect of the criminal law system that prioritizes restorative justice. However, until now there has been no comprehensive and explicit regulation governing the restitution mechanism specifically for serious assault cases. 2. The urgency of fulfilling the right to restitution is very high in the context of restorative justice that balances the punishment of the perpetrator and the recovery of the victim. The rights of victims are often neglected even though the perpetrator has been punished, whereas the losses experienced by victims of serious abuse are multidimensional, covering physical, psychological, social, and economic aspects. 3. Fulfillment of the right to restitution for victims of serious assault crimes is a concrete manifestation of the value of justice, as contained in the Pancasila Theory of Justice and the principle of the rule of law (rechtstaat).

Abstract

Gambling is a game where players bet to choose one of several choices provided where only one choice is the winner. This action is clearly contrary to the provisions of positive law, religion, and morality which is very dangerous for the next generation. The crime of gambling or participating in gambling was originally prohibited in the criminal provisions of Article 542 of the Criminal Code, but based on the provisions stipulated in Article 2 paragraph (4) of Law No. 7 of 1974 concerning the regulation of gambling, its name has been changed to a crime regulated in Article 303 bis of the Criminal Code. The approach method used in this study is a normative legal approach. The normative legal approach is a legal research conducted by examining library materials or secondary data as only. The research specifications used are descriptive analysis, sources and types of data used are primary and secondary data. The data collection method is carried out by means of literature studies, including minutes of legislation, books, journals, research results. The problem is analyzed with the theory of criminal responsibility, the theory of legal certainty and the theory of justice. Criminal liability is liability for crimes committed by people. Based on Decision Number 234/Pid.B/2024/PN Jkt Pst which is based on the facts revealed in the trial that the criminal act of gambling was committed by the Defendants by referring to the evidence revealed in the trial, it can be concluded that the Defendants have been proven guilty of the crime of gambling. This action expressly violates Article 303 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, with all the elements contained therein fulfilled. The basis for the judge's considerations in making a decision can be divided into two categories, namely: Legal considerations, namely the judge's considerations based on legal facts revealed in the trial and by law specified as something that must be included in the decision, and non-legal considerations, namely the judge in making his decision looks more at the background of the defendant, the consequences of the defendant's actions and the defendant's personal condition and religion.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze visitor satisfaction regarding the accessibility of culinary tourism at Mie Aceh Titi Bobrok in Medan Sunggal, Medan City. The method employed is qualitative descriptive. The results indicate that the majority of visitors are satisfied with the accessibility to the location, in terms of road quality, travel time, and availability of transportation. However, several challenges remain, such as traffic congestion during peak hours and limited parking facilities. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of maintaining and improving accessibility quality to ensure visitor comfort and satisfaction.

Abstract

Pendahuluan : Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang jumlah kasusnya semakin meningkat. Hipertensi sering terjadi pada usia dewasa sampai lanjut usia baik pria maupun wanita. Risiko terberat dari Hipertensi adalah terjadinya stroke dan kematian. Pengendalian tekanan darah pada orang dengan hipertensi dapat mencegah terjadinya stroke. Salah satu upaya untuk mengendalikan tekanan darah adalah dengan meningkatkan kualitas hidup orang dengan hipertensi melalui kegiatan pengelolaan kelompok (peer group) dalam bentuk kelas hipertensi. Manfaat dari kelas hipertensi antara lain, meningkatkan pengetahuan mengenai penyakit hipertensi dan pengelolaannya, meningkatkan ketrampilan mengenai terapi modalitas dan komplementer untuk pengendalian tekanan darah, mengurangi stres, bertukar pengalaman mengenai terapi hipertensi dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pada orang dengan hipertensi. Kegiatan kelas hipertensi meliputi edukasi, demonstrasi terapi modalitas dan komplementer, diskusi, konseling, terapi aktifitas kelompok. Permasalahan Mitra : setiap tahun jumlah kasus hipertensi di Desa Karangjompo mengalami peningkatan. Jumlah yang mengalami stroke akibat hipertensi juga meningkat. Pengetahuan mengenai hipertensi masih rendah. Solusi permasalahan : pengelolaan kelompok hipertensi dan membuat kelas hipertensi. Metode pembelajaran dengan ceramah, demonstrasi, diskusi, konseling dan terapi aktifitas kelompok. Kegiatan kelas meliputi edukasi mengenai penyakit hipertensi dan pengelolaannya, demonstrasi terapi modalitas dan komplementer pada hipertensi, konseling hipertensi, pemeriksaan berkala, terapi aktifitas kelompok. Hasil : Jumlah peserta kelas hipertensi 30 orang, terdiri dari 22 perempuan dan 8 laki-laki. Setelah dilakukan kegiatan, pengetahuan peserta mengenai hipertensi 100% baik, mampu mendemonstrasikan terapi modalitas dan komplementer dengan baik, tekanan darah rata-rata peserta mengalami penurunan baik sistole maupun diastole. Abstract

In the trigonometry course, the learning achievement achieved by students is not optimal because many students get scores below 70. Researchers find out the causes of these problems, one of which is that the teacher still uses the lecture method and assignments in the learning process. This causes students to only listen to the material without going through the process of trying and finding themselves. The researcher gave the treatment of the Project-Based Learning learning model and conventional learning model so that the purpose of this study was to determine the difference in learning achievement of Mathematics Education Study Program students at Palangka Raya University as prospective teachers who were treated with the Project-Based Learning learning model and conventional learning model. The population of this study was all 1st semester students of the 2024/2025 academic year of the mathematics education study program at Palangka Raya University. Before conducting the analysis using the t-test of two independent samples, the prerequisite test was carried out: normality test with Kolmogorov-Smirnov and homogeneity test with Levene. The results of this study are that there are differences in the learning achievement of students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at Palangka Raya University as prospective teachers who are treated with the Project-Based Learning learning model and the conventional learning model. Furthermore, students in the experimental class using the Project-Based Learning learning model obtained an average achievement of 81.379, while the control class using the conventional learning model obtained an average achievement of 72.008.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of malnutrition that hampers children's physical growth due to inadequate nutritional intake. This condition impacts health, cognitive development, and increases the risk of diseases. The primary causes of stunting include insufficient nutrition, infections, food security, childcare practices, healthcare services, and sanitation. The prevalence of stunting in Indonesia reached 21.6% in 2022. The government has issued Presidential Regulation No. 72 of 2021 to accelerate stunting reduction. To explore the potential of fermented eggs as a nutritional intervention to prevent stunting, this study aims to identify the nutritional benefits of fermented eggs, assess the enhancement of nutrient bioavailability through fermentation, and evaluate the effectiveness of fermented eggs in improving children's nutritional status. This literature review gathers and analyses studies related to the nutritional impact of fermented eggs. Fermentation enhances the digestibility and bioavailability of proteins, fats, and micronutrients such as B vitamins, folate, and iron. This process breaks down complex proteins and fats into simpler, more absorbable forms. Fermented eggs present a potential solution for preventing stunting by improving digestibility and nutrient bioavailability while providing beneficial probiotics that support overall health. Given their nutritional profile, fermented eggs can serve as an effective and sustainable nutritional intervention.
