Abstract

The standard assessment of the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts is not available in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). The objective of this research is to develop a performance assessment of the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts in DIY based on a review of sports biomechanics. The method used in this study was research and development. The subjects were 6 fighters for the initial trial, 14 fighters for the small scale trial, and 53 fighters for the large scale trial. The content validity measure was employed to determine the validity of the data, while the product moment correlation was implemented to measure its reliability. The level of objectivity was analyzed with the interrater technique (Alpha coefficients). The results of the study are as the followings. 1) The performance assessment of the kicks in the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts in the province of DIY is highly valid; 2) The performance assessment of the kicks in the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts in DIY is highly reliable; 3) The performance assessment of the of the kicks in the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts in DIY is highly objective; 4) The performance assessment of the of the kicks in the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts in DIY is divided into five categories, namely: very good, good, average, poor, and very poor. The conclusion of this study is that the performance assessment of kicks in the competition category of Pencak Silat martial arts in DIY is classified into five categories. It is suggested that the generalization area may be broadened and it is necessary to involve more subjects in the large-scale trial.

Abstract

Researchers found several problems from the inadequate early age coaching of the AFQOZ Club in Tegal Regency. The research aims to determine 1)Fostering early childhood football achievements, 2)Training program, 3)Funding sources, 4) facilities and infrastructure, 5)The role of the community athletes, 6)The role of the coach. Qualitative research by describing and analyzing, the target of research on fostering the early childhood achievement of the AFQOZ Club. The location of this research is in the AFQOZ Club, Pangkah District, Tegal Regency. Collecting data using observation techniques, interviews, documentation. The research results are as follows: 1)Fostering the early childhood football achievements of the AFQOZ Club is quite good, because it often uses simulations and there is a tiered system in each age group up to the Elite Pro Academy, 2)The training program is good because it refers to PSSI standards according to the age group in the Club, 3)The club's source of funds comes from the AFQOZ Collection, which can be said to be good, even though the salary of the coach and manager is small, but the facilities obtained are quite adequate, such as club transportation,4)The facilities and infrastructure are quite a lot of good quality and modified, 5)Community support is lacking for the club, the local government does not release field management to the club to interfere with the training program, 6)The trainer becomes a motivator and initiator, plays a good role because it can bring fostered athletes have made achievements in football events.

Abstract

Swimming is a water sport that involves movement abilities in the water; yet, the lack of swimming learning media that encourages movement impedes the swimming learning process. This study developed learning media based on interactive multimedia applications that can be accessed via computers and smartphones in conjunction with swimming lessons, as well as to determine and analyze the effectiveness of using interactive multimedia applications under swimming lessons. Development research or educational research and development was the research design. The research subjects and locations are health and sport education students and teachers at private universities in the Kuningan and Cirebon areas. The research resulted in the development of swimming learning media products based on interactive multimedia applications named PRM Mobile Swimming Learning. These products can be accessed via computers and smartphones and are used to assist in the process of swimming learning. Student assessments of the display quality and supporting features (attractiveness and convenience) show that the development of swimming learning media based on interactive multimedia apps is of “Very Good” quality, scoring 87%. While student assessments of material quality and content in swimming learning (utility) indicated that the development of swimming learning media based on interactive multimedia apps was “Very Good” in quality 84%.

Abstract

The study investigated the effect of sprouted papaya seed meal (SPSM) on physiological conditions, intestinal bacteria and meat quality of broilers. A 390 broiler chicks were distributed to T0 (control feed), T1 (feed with 2.5% papaya seed meal [PSM]), T2 (1% SPSM), T3 (2.5% SPSM), and T4 (5% SPSM). Blood, intestinal digesta and meat were obtained at day 36. Feeding 2.5% PSM lowered (P<0.05), but SPSM up to 5% had no effect on daily gain. PSM reduced (p<0.05) feed intake, but not SPSM. Feed efficiency was lower (P<0.05) in T4. Feeding 5% SPSM increased (P=0.06) bursa of fabricius. T1, T3 and T4 had lower (P=0.09) heterophils. Mean corpuscular haemoglobin and mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration were lower (P<0.05) in T4. Cholesterol to high-density lipoprotein (HDL) ratio of PSM and SPSM was lower (P<0.05) than control. SPSM at 2.5% increased (P<0.05) serum HDL. PSM-fed birds had lower cholesterol (P=0.07), triglyceride (P=0.09) and lowdensity lipoprotein (P=0.09). PSM or SPSM decreased (P<0.05) serum total protein, albumin and globulin. PSM and SPSM reduced (P<0.05) creatinine. Alanine aminotransferase was reduced (P<0.05) with SPSM at 1 and 2.5%. Ileal lactic acid bacteria to coliform ratio in PSM and SPSM was greater (P<0.05) than in control. Ileal coliform was lower (P=0.08) in PSM and SPSM. PSM reduced (P=0.08) saturated fatty acids, while 1 and 2.5% SPSM increased (P=0.09) unsaturated fatty acids contents of meats. In conclusion, SPSM improved immune competence, blood lipid profile and gut bacterial population of broilers.

Abstract

Kasus Leptospirosis di Kota Semarang selalu mengalami peningkatan. Puskesmas Bandarharjo adalah Puskesmas yang wilayahnya merupakan zona rawan Leptospirosis. Tahun 2015, di wilayah Puskesmas Bandarharjo ditemukan 22 kasus Leptospirosis, meningkat dari tahun sebelumnya yaitu 14 kasus pada tahun 2014. Kasus Leptospirosis tersebut paling banyak terjadi di Kelurahan Tanjung Mas. Fakta ini menempatkan Puskesmas Bandarharjo tertinggi kasus Leptospirosis di kota Semarang. Wilayah ini termasuk endemis, karena wilayah ini merupakan daerah rawan banjir dan merupakan daerah yang sering terdampak rob (kawasan rob). Banyak genangan air pada musim penghujan maupun akibat rob menyebabkan banyak selokan-selokan yang menggenang, sampah-sampah menumpuk yang menjadi tempat berkembangbiaknya tikus. Studi awal oleh tim pengabdi, diketahui bahwa tingginya kasus penyakit Leptospirosis di wilayah tersebut selain karena faktor lingkungan yang rawan banjir dan rob, juga dipengaruhi oleh perilaku masyarakat yang belum menerapkan pola hidup bersih dan sehat. Pengetahuan masyarakat yang kurang tentang penyakit Leptospirosis. Penyakit ini penting untuk diketahui secara lengkap oleh masyarakat serta harus mendapatkan prioritas dalam pengendalian dan pemberantasannya terutama menjelang musim hujan tiba dan khususnya pada wilayah-wilayah rawan terjadi banjir. Pembentukan pos informasi Leptospirosis di kawasan terdampak air rob dipilih sebagai bentuk inovasi pola pemberian informasi kepada masyarakat. Pos Informasi Leptospirosis ini sebagai wadah komunikasi dan informasi kesehatan dengan konsep pengembangan masyarakat dalam rangka penanggulangan Leptospirosis di kawasan rawan banjir dan kawasan terdampak air rob. Pos Informasi Leptospirosis menjadi pusat kegiatan penyebaran informasi penyakit Leptospirosis di masyarakat. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan Pos Informasi Leptospirosis telah mampu meningkatkan peran Kader Kesehatan dalam edukasi masyarakat, dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, serta kesadaran masyarakat dalam menerapkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat serta dapat meningkatkan kewaspadaan terhadap bahaya penyakit Leptospirosis.

Abstract

Research background Implementation of the 2013 curriculum in online physical education learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of applying Curriculum 13 on the enhancement of physical education and physical education learning competencies for primary school children during the COVID-19 pandemic. This investigation was conducted in State Elementary Schools within the Gubug District, Grobogan Regency. The population of all physical education teachers and fifth grade students is 1249 students. The instrument uses a questionnaire questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive analysis divided into two groups of data, quantitative and qualitative. Statistical analysis included descriptive analysis to calculate the hypothetical mean, standard deviation and frequency distribution (percentage). The results of antecedent research on the completeness of the 2013 curriculum as a means and infrastructure for implementing the 2013 curriculum, as well as learning planning are very good at 100% on the completeness of the curriculum. And good learning planning by 100%. The transaction stage of the learning implementation went well by 60% and the implementation of the authentic assessment went well by 60%. Outcome stage authentic assessment of 49.2% in the good category, 45.4% in the poor category and 0.0% in the very poor category. Only 5.4% of student assessment results are in the very good category. It was found that the implementation of physical education learning with the 2013 curriculum during the covid 19 pandemic still needed recommendations because it had not been able to run optimally.

Abstract

This study was aimed to evaluate effect of a mixture of Averrhoa bilimbi fruit filtrate and shrimp paste (Mysis sp.) on the growth performance, blood profile, selected intestinal bacterial number and pH value of broiler digestive tract. The mixture of A. bilimbi fruit filtrate and shrimp paste were incubated for 4 days and were then used in the experiment. For in vivo experiment, 40 day-old Lohmann broiler chicks were distributed randomly to two treatment groups, i.e., control (T1) and chickens given the mixture of 10% A. bilimbi fruit filtrate and shrimp paste in drinking water (T2). Body weight and feed intake were recorded weekly. At day 42, 2 birds from each pen (8 chicks per treatment group) were taken for blood and digesta collection. Internal organ weight and carcass traits were determined thereafter. Feed conversion ratio (FCR) was lower (P<0.05) on treatment group than control. Hemoglobin and mean corpuscular volume (MCV) of treatment group were higher (P<0.05) than that of control. Total cholesterol was higher (P<0.05) in treatment group than that in control. Total cecum coliform was lower (P<0.05) in treatment group than that in control. The pH values of the small intestinal segments (jejunum, ileum, cecum) was lower (P<0.05) in treatment group than that in control group. In conclusion, administration of the blends of A. bilimbi fruit filtrate and shrimp paste into drinking water improved FCR, increased hemoglobin and MCV values, decreased gut pH and cecal coliform of broiler chickens.

Abstract

Poultry industry are facing many challenges and osbtacles especially on the supply of feed ingredients, medicines, feed supplements and additives. The high price of protein source-feed ingredients has encouraged nutritionists to explore and utilize alternative protein source-feed ingredients for poultry. This review provides an overview of their nutritional and bioactive contents and the use of microalgae, Chlorella vulgaris and Spirulina platensis in poultry feed based on recent literature studies and their potential development and utilization in Indonesia. The microalgae Chlorella vulgaris dan Spirulina platensis have very high protein content that are potential as a protein source in poultry rations. In addition, Chlorella vulgaris and Spirulina platensis also contain several bioactive compounds that can be used as alternatives to antibiotics growth promoter and synthetic antioxidants for poultry. Indonesia has a great potential for the production of Chlorella vulgaris and Spirulina platensis, however massive cultivation and economies of scale have not yet been carried out. Such conditions make Chlorella vulgaris and Spirulina platensis less profitable as protein sources, but more likely as growth-promoting additives or antioxidants for poultry in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian air rebusan kunyit terhadap total bakteri coliform, bakteri asam laktat (BAL) dan total bakteri dalam usus halus ayam broiler. Materi yang digunakan yaitu 200 ekor ayam broiler DOC (Day Old Chick), strain Lohman, bobot badan rata-rata 41,48 ± 0,99 g. Ternak dipelihara selama 35 hari dan perlakuan pemberian air rebusan kunyit pada air minum mulai diberikan pada umur 11 hari. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, setiap ulangan terdiri dari 8 ekor. Perlakuan yang digunakan yaitu T0 (100% air), T1 (25% air rebusan kunyit : 75% air), T2 (50% air rebusan kunyit : 50% air), T3 (75% air rebusan kunyit : 25% air), dan T4 (100% air rebusan kunyit). Parameter yang diamati yaitu jumlah coliform, BAL, dan total bakteri dalam usus halus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian air rebusan kunyit pada air minum ayam broiler berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05) terhadap jumlah BAL dan total bakteri, tetapi tidak berpengaruh (p>0,05) terhadap jumlah coliform. Keimpulannya, bahwa pemberian air rebusan kunyit tidak meningkatkan/menurunkan total bakteri coliform tetapi menurunkan total bakteri dan meningkatkan total BAL.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan jamu dalam ration terhadap profil darah putih dalam darah ayam petelur ditinjau dari total leukosit dan diferensial leukosit antara lain limfosit, eosinofil dan neutrofil. Materi yang digunakan adalah 40 ekor ayam petelur strain Lohmann Brown fase layer umur 40 minggu dengan lama pemeliharaan 30 hari. Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu T0 = ayam petelur tidak diberi tambahan jamu dalam ration, T1 = ayam petelur diberi tambahan jamu dalam ration 0,5%, T2 = ayam petelur diberi tambahan jamu dalam ration 1% dan T3 = ayam petelur diberi tambahan jamu dalam ration 1,5%. Parameter yang diamati adalah leukosit dan differensial leukosit antara lain heterofil, eusinofil dan limfosit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan jamu dalam ration tidak berpengaruh terhadap jumlah leukosit dan differensial leukosit. Perlakuan T0, T1, T2 dan T3 menunjukkan jumlah rata – rata leukosit masing – masing 31,30, 35,70, 38,00, dan 38,40 (×103/µL), limfosit masing – masing 25,10, 29,00, 30,70 dan 31,80 (×103/µL), eosinofil masing – masing 1,90, 2,20, 2,60 dan 2,80 (×103/µL), dan neutrofil masing – masing 4,00, 4,30, 4,50 dan 4,50 (×103/µL). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penambahan jamu dalam ration ayam petelur dapat menjaga kesehatan tubuh ayam petelur yang ditandai dengan total leukosit, limfosit dan eosinofil yang tinggi namun masih dalam kondisi normal dan jumlah heterofil yang stabil.
