Abstract

Hardenability is the ability of a material to harden to a certain depth utilizing heat treatment to form martensite upon cooling to achieve a certain hardness. The hardness of a metal, especially steel, can be modified without adding alloying elements and is done by heat treatment. Steel's hardenability value is strongly influenced by the carbon content (carburizing) in the steel structure. Increasing the hardness of a material can be done by adding carbon to the object's surface during heat treatment. The Rockwell Hardness Test method measures the surface of the hardness. The test results on the specimens showed that the carburizing process of each specimen increased the hardness of the surface of the specimen. The distribution of hardenability values ​​is close to a linear line, namely the heat treatment temperature 900oC.

Abstract

In the context of Islamic dakwah, there are various approaches that can be taken, including through dakwah messages and cultural values ​​in a community. As time goes by, the use of media as a means of educating the public is very popular and in great demand today. This research aims to design an application that can be used as a dakwah medium in educating the public through Pappasang messages among the people of Makassar, especially mental health aspects. This research uses the Research and Development method through five steps, namely determining the topic, literature study, discussion, determining the application design to be created, and evaluation. To assess the quality of the product being designed, the author chose two experts in the field of technology and one language and culture expert who understands Pappasang. The application design has seven features as a medium for preaching for mental health, these seven features are Pappasang which contains messages or advice from previous parents about mental health based on Islamic teachings, short story videos about Pappasang, folklore comics, lontara, keywords search Pappasang, prayer, and even groups are available for members to interact with each other and share information about activities on the topic of mental health education. This application is an alternative as a medium for dakwah for mental health among the people of Makassar through Pappasang messages, as well as a means of educating the people of Makassar in recognizing and preserving their culture.

Abstract

Teachers still employ irrelevant teaching material related to Islamic values during teaching and learning. They used the lecturing and question-and-answers methods. Thus, researchers developed teaching materials to make students happy and interested. This research entitled Development of Students’ Worksheet (LKPD) Oriented to Islamic Values through Oncoming Material about Human Excretory System in Class VIII of Junior High School/ Islamic Junior High School (SMP/MTs) to know the students’ responses to the work. The research problems were how to develop students’ worksheets (LKPD) oriented to Islamic values through the oncoming material about the human excretory system and how the students’ responses to LKPD that researchers made. This research was a development research that used the 4D research method. Products produced were categorized as valid not revised because of the validation of design to the tune of 78.12%, validation of subject matter experts to the tune of 70%, and subject matter from Islam experts to the tune of 80%. Meanwhile, the responses of 10 students indicated that four students were categorized as “worthy” to the tune of 94.44%, 83.33%, 100%, and 85.18%, while six students were classified as “quite worthy” with each percentage of 61.11%, 70.37%, 79.62%, 75.92%, 68.51%, and 75.92%.

Abstract

One of the characteristics of Islamic Syari'ah is the elimination of difficulties and ease ('Adamul Haraj wat At-Taysir). Many verses of Al-Qur'an and Hadist of the Prophet explicitly explain about this. In fact, this feature can be found in all provisions of the Syari'a, like in a marriage. However, Indonesian society is a society that really keep the richness of culture and customs in a marriage. Even with strict requirements, these customs traditions are considered to be used as a benchmark and consideration in determining law. This article will examine the phenomenon of the Pesurung Adat tradition, in the perspective of Al-'Urf and the principle of eliminating difficulties and facilitating ('Adamul Haraj wat At-Taysir) so that the Pesurung Adat tradition can be seen from the perspective of Islamic law properly. This study analyzes the tradition of Pesurung Adat in the people of Kayu Baong Hamlet, Pekawai Village, Sayan District, Melawi Regency, West Kalimantan. Data obtained by interview method on this tradition.  The results showed that this tradition that has been passed down for generations is Al-'Urf As-Shahih (The true tradition), does not contradict the postulates of nash, and as a form of cultural diversity owned by the Indonesian state. The tradition of Pesurung Adat cannot be considered contrary to the principle of 'Adamul Haraj wat At-Taysir because the bridegroom does not object to fulfilling this tradition. If the bridegroom does not have the financial means, the Dewan Adat has agreed that if the bridgroom is unable to fulfill this tradition of Pesurung Adat then he will not be forced to obligate. The findings and studies in this study can be a guide to look at the traditions surrounding marriage, especially those related to giving some finances both before and after the wedding.

Abstract

One of the ecosystems in tropical waters is the coral reef. Coral reefs serve multiple functions, both ecologically and economically. The marine waters in Wakatobi Regency boast diverse coral reefs, and this study aims to assess the coral reefs in one of its regions, specifically in the waters around Hoga Island, part of Wakatobi National Park. The research was conducted from March to May 2023, involving direct observations at the research site. The collected data were then analyzed and presented descriptively concerning the percentage of coral reefs in the study area. The percentage of coral cover in the growth forms (lifeform) of the Wakatobi National Park tourism zone, region II, revealed that, at the first station, coral cover was 46.33%, dominated by Coral Branching (CB) at 22.36%, and Biotic, primarily Soft Coral (SC), at 14.95%. At the second station, coral cover was 36.13%, with Coral Branching (CB) accounting for 11.53%, and Soft Coral (SC) at 25.33%. The third station exhibited a coral cover percentage of 60.37%.

Abstract

The existence of Shariah financial institutions in marketing products in the information age affects public interest in obtaining alternative investment options. In today’s information age, Fintech’s P2P Lending products have grown to be one of the most popular financial products among Indonesian entrepreneurs. This research aims to understand the role of the Financial Services Authority (FATF) in improving the investment climate in the Indonesian Shariah financial industry. Qualitative descriptive research with this type of library study is written based on literature studies of various books and research journals related to Shariah economics and investment. From the results of the survey it can be concluded that the OJK agency has a role in boosting the economy in Indonesia by means of authority and developing alternative investment options that result in increased returns. Supervision by regulation of the activities of the Financial Services Authority is necessary in supervising the operation of the Shariah financial institutions to guarantee the level of security of public funds and the security of funds owned by fintech invested in financing products.

Abstract

The aim of this outreach activity is to increase awareness of the role of utilizing plastic waste in the social and economic environment of the Tambak Lekok community, Lekok District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java Province. Implementation methods include initial interviews, counseling, education, and final interviews. The results of the activity showed an increase in public understanding and awareness after participating in the outreach activities. Participants better understand the importance of waste and plastic waste management in terms of sorting plastic waste, skills in making handicrafts and decorating the land/garden. This activity contributes to environmental cleanliness, environmental preservation, as well as added economic value to the residents of the Tambak Lekok community, Lekok District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java Province.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas implementasi aplikasi "PramukaKu" berbasis Android di Kwartir Cabang Serdang Bedagai dengan menggunakan metode Boyer Moore. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memanfaatkan teknologi Android sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif bagi pelajar dalam memperkenalkan kegiatan pramuka. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengembangan aplikasi ini adalah Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), yang terdiri dari enam tahapan: pengkonsepan, desain, pengumpulan materi, pembuatan, uji coba, dan distribusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi "PramukaKu" berhasil diimplementasikan dengan optimal, memberikan kontribusi positif dalam dunia pendidikan dan penelitian sebagai metode pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

This article examines the improvement of the quality of education at Maktab Nubdzatul Bayan (Maktuba) Al-Majidiyah Islamic Boarding School through the formulation and implementation of effective strategies. This study aims to identify and analyze the strategies implemented by Maktuba Al-Majidiyah Islamic Boarding School in improving the quality of education, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of the implementation of these strategies. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation analysis. Data analysis was conducted through three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. Results: Maktuba Al-Majidiyah Islamic Boarding School has formulated a strategy to improve the quality of education that includes developing a vision, mission, and values, as well as analyzing the internal and external environment. This strategy includes long and short-term programs that are carried out through accelerated methods and the development of santri skills. Strategy implementation is supported by adequate budget allocations and training programs to improve the professionalism of the asatidz. Strategy evaluation is carried out thoroughly and continuously, with weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual evaluations. This study makes an important contribution in understanding the formulation and implementation of strategies to improve the quality of education in pesantren. The findings show that a good and directed strategic approach is able to improve the quality of education effectively and efficiently, as well as meet the community's expectations of quality education.
