Abstract

Improving the quality of basic education is often hampered by the gap between teacher competency standards and learning practices in the field, as indicated in Cluster 1, Tungkal Jaya District, which is still dominated by conventional methods. This study aims to empirically examine the influence of teacher pedagogical and professional competencies on learning quality in order to formulate targeted strategies for improving education quality. Using a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design, this study employed a total sampling technique involving the entire population of 80 public elementary school teachers as respondents. Data collection was conducted comprehensively through a validated questionnaire, then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The research findings revealed that pedagogical competency contributed 28.8%, while professional competency had a more dominant impact on learning quality, at 48.4%. Simultaneously, these two variables contributed significantly, at 57.5%. The main conclusion confirms that optimizing learning quality is highly dependent on the synergy between classroom management skills and in-depth mastery of the material. Therefore, a continuous professional development program is needed to holistically improve teacher capabilities. ABSTRAKPeningkatan mutu pendidikan dasar sering kali terhambat oleh kesenjangan antara standar kompetensi guru dan praktik pembelajaran di lapangan, sebagaimana terindikasi di Gugus 1 Kecamatan Tungkal Jaya yang masih didominasi metode konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional guru terhadap mutu pembelajaran guna merumuskan strategi peningkatan kualitas pendidikan yang tepat sasaran. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain ex post facto, studi ini menerapkan teknik total sampling yang melibatkan seluruh populasi sebanyak 80 guru sekolah dasar negeri sebagai responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara komprehensif melalui kuesioner yang telah tervalidasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linier berganda. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik memberikan kontribusi pengaruh sebesar 28,8%, sementara kompetensi profesional memiliki dampak yang lebih dominan sebesar 48,4% terhadap mutu pembelajaran. Secara simultan, kedua variabel tersebut berkontribusi signifikan sebesar 57,5%. Simpulan utama menegaskan bahwa optimalisasi mutu pembelajaran sangat bergantung pada sinergi antara kemampuan manajerial kelas dan penguasaan materi yang mendalam, sehingga diperlukan program pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kapabilitas guru secara holistik.

Abstract

Inclusive education requires learning services that can accommodate the diversity of student abilities, including children with reading difficulties such as dyslexia. A common problem in elementary schools that provide inclusive education is the low initial reading ability of students with special needs in lower grades. This study aims to describe the implementation of initial reading instruction in the con⅔text of inclusive education and identify the obstacles experienced by students with dyslexia. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. The research subjects included early grade elementary school students, class teachers, students identified as having reading difficulties, and the principal and parents as supporting informants. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, and their validity was tested through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study indicate that the initial reading ability of students with special needs is still low, especially in recognizing letters, pronouncing letter sounds, and combining syllables. Initial reading instruction is implemented in stages through the Individual Learning Program (PPI), with an emphasis on imitation and repetition methods and the use of simple media. The research conclusion confirms that the implementation of inclusive education that is humanistic, adaptive, and oriented towards individual needs is very important to support the success of early reading learning for students with dyslexia. Keywords: Inclusive education; Beginning reading; Dyslexia; Elementary school; Individualized learning   Abstrak Pendidikan inklusif menuntut adanya layanan pembelajaran yang mampu mengakomodasi keberagaman kemampuan peserta didik, termasuk anak yang mengalami kesulitan membaca seperti disleksia. Permasalahan yang sering muncul di sekolah dasar penyelenggara pendidikan inklusif adalah rendahnya kemampuan membaca permulaan pada peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus di kelas rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran membaca permulaan dalam konteks pendidikan inklusif serta mengidentifikasi hambatan yang dialami peserta didik dengan disleksia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian meliputi peserta didik kelas awal sekolah dasar, guru kelas, peserta didik yang teridentifikasi mengalami kesulitan membaca, serta kepala sekolah dan orang tua sebagai informan pendukung. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, serta diuji keabsahannya melalui triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus masih rendah, khususnya dalam mengenal huruf, melafalkan bunyi huruf, dan menggabungkan suku kata. Pembelajaran membaca permulaan dilaksanakan secara bertahap melalui Program Pembelajaran Individual (PPI), dengan penekanan pada metode peniruan dan pengulangan serta penggunaan media sederhana. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa penerapan pendidikan inklusif yang humanis, adaptif, dan berorientasi pada kebutuhan individual sangat penting untuk mendukung keberhasilan pembelajaran membaca permulaan bagi peserta didik dengan disleksia. Abstract

Course timetabling in higher education is a complex combinatorial problem due to constraints related to lecturer availability, limited classroom resources, and fixed weekly time-slot structures. As the number of courses and class sections increases, manual scheduling becomes increasingly inefficient and prone to conflicts, particularly room clashes and overlapping lecturer assignments. This study develops and evaluates an automatic course scheduling system based on the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm and implements it as a Java-based desktop application to generate feasible timetables under real institutional conditions. An experimental computational approach is employed, in which artificial ants construct candidate schedules through probabilistic selection influenced by pheromone trails and heuristic information. Timetable quality is evaluated using a weighted cost function that prioritizes hard-constraint satisfaction, such as preventing lecturer and room clashes, while also incorporating soft-constraint penalties related to lecturer forbidden timeslots and schedule distribution balance. The system is tested using real academic data from an undergraduate study program, including courses, lecturers, classrooms, and predefined weekly timeslots. Experimental results show that the proposed system consistently generates conflict-free timetables, achieving a conflict value of zero across all repeated runs under the selected parameter configuration. Beyond feasibility, the optimization process continues to refine timetable quality by reducing soft-constraint penalties, as indicated by the convergence behavior observed across repeated executions. This repeated-run evaluation provides insight into the stochastic optimization characteristics of the ACO-based approach under fixed parameter settings. These findings indicate that the Java-based ACO approach effectively supports automated university course scheduling and provides a practical solution for producing feasible and well-structured timetables.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pembelian kembali saham (stock buyback) terhadap kinerja keuangan dan nilai perusahaan pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2020-2024. Kinerja keuangan diukur melalui Return on Equity (ROE) dan Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), sedangkan nilai perusahaan diukur melalui Price to Book Value (PBV) dan Tobin's Q. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis deskriptif komparatif dan analisis paired sample t-test, penelitian ini mengolah data sekunder dari perusahaan yang melakukan buyback. Hasil uji regresi linier berganda menunjukkan bahwa buyback tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap ROE, DER, PBV, maupun Tobin's Q. Namun, hasil uji paired t-test membuktikan bahwa buyback berpengaruh signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan (PBV dan Tobin's Q) ketika membandingkan kondisi sebelum dan sesudah buyback, tetapi tidak terhadap kinerja keuangan (ROE dan DER). Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa buyback lebih efektif sebagai strategi sinyal jangka pendek untuk mempengaruhi persepsi pasar dan nilai perusahaan, daripada sebagai alat untuk meningkatkan kinerja keuangan fundamental.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has given rise to Generation Alpha, a generation familiar from birth with gadgets, the internet, and a fast-paced and practical environment. This situation requires teachers to adapt to the mindsets, learning styles, and needs of students to ensure learning remains relevant and effective. This study aims to describe the roles, strategies, and challenges of teachers in dealing with Generation Alpha at Public Elementary School 87 Palembang. The research method used was a qualitative case study approach, through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that teachers are required to be more creative, innovative, and technologically literate in delivering material, while simultaneously building student character through interactive and collaborative learning. The main challenge faced by teachers is maintaining a balance between the use of technology and the development of discipline, empathy, and ethics in students. Thus, the role of teachers in the Generation Alpha era is not only as transmitters of knowledge, but also as facilitators, motivators, and role models in building the competencies and character of the future generation.

Abstract

The crisis of adolescent character in the digital era has become an increasingly complex issue along with the rapid development of technology, information globalization, and changes in social interaction patterns. Although many studies have highlighted the moral issues of the younger generation, studies that specifically examine the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in integrating religious values with digital ethics are still limited. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of PAI in shaping the character of Muslim adolescents who are moral, integrity, and wise in using technology in the midst of the challenges of the digital era. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study design (library research) that focuses on the analysis of various scientific articles, books, and previous research results that are relevant to the themes of Islamic education, morality, and adolescent social behavior. The results of the study show that adolescent character crises are characterized by decreased spiritual awareness, weakened social empathy, increased consumptive behavior, and dependence on technology which leads to moral degradation. In this context, PAI has a fundamental role in overcoming these various symptoms through strengthening spiritual values, internalizing morals, teacher examples, and Islamic digital literacy. The implementation of technology adaptive PAI not only instills religious understanding cognitively, but also forms ethical awareness and moral responsibility in the use of digital media. This research contributes theoretically to the development of contextual and integrative Islamic education concepts, and practically provides a new direction for educational institutions to design curricula and learning strategies that are relevant to the challenges of the digital era. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the transformation of PAI pedagogy is a necessity so that religious education not only functions as a transmission of spiritual values, but also as a means of forming digital characters based on Islamic values, so as to be able to give birth to a young generation who are religious, noble, and ethical in the virtual and real world.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) learning model through the Wordwall platform in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning at SMP Negeri 35 Surabaya. The background of this study stems from the low level of student engagement in IRE learning due to the dominance of conventional methods and the suboptimal integration of technology in the learning process. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with the research subjects consisting of PAI teachers and seventh-grade students. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, documentation studies, and field notes, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The results show that the application of the TPACK model through Wordwall successfully increased student engagement and motivation to learn. Careful planning, the use of Wordwall's interactive features (such as quizzes, matching games, and random wheels), and collaborative pedagogical strategies created an active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning atmosphere. Despite challenges such as time constraints, digital infrastructure, and variations in students' technological literacy, teachers were able to overcome them through adaptive strategies such as hybrid learning, group role rotation, and collaborative reflection. This study confirms that integrating the TPACK model through Wordwall can be an innovative strategy for transforming PAI learning into interactive, contextual learning that is in line with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study determined and described the effect of audiovisual learning media and learning motivation on the science learning outcomes of Grade VII students at public junior high schools (SMP) in Sako District, Palembang. The research sample consisted of 61 Grade VII students from two schools: SMP Mandiri Palembang (29 students) and SMP Binatama Palembang (32 students). Sampling techniques included total sampling and cluster random sampling. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires featuring a 5-point Likert scale to measure 60 statement items, alongside a final assignment comprising 30 questions. The data analysis technique employed was simple and multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicated that: 1) There is a significant influence of audiovisual learning media on the science learning outcomes of Grade VII students. 2) There is a significant influence of learning motivation on the science learning outcomes of Grade VII students. 3) Collectively, audiovisual learning media and learning motivation significantly influence the science learning outcomes of Grade VII students at the studied schools in Sako District, Palembang. The findings suggest that educators and institutions should consider integrating audiovisual media into their teaching strategies and actively work to enhance student learning motivation to improve science learning outcomes in junior high school settings. This study contributes to the existing literature by simultaneously examining the combined and individual effects of audiovisual learning media and learning motivation on science learning outcomes within a specific Indonesian educational context. It provides empirical evidence supporting the importance of both technological tools and psychological factors in achieving better academic performance.

Abstract

Technological advancements in education require teachers to present engaging and enjoyable learning experiences that align with the characteristics of today’s digital generation. The use of technology-based learning media, such as Android applications, offers a solution for creating a more interactive and effective learning environment. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Android-based interactive learning media Solite Kids in improving student learning outcomes in the Fiqh subject for seventh-grade students at MTsN 3 Kota Surabaya. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group format. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments administered to two classes: class VII G as the experimental group using Solite Kids, and class VII H as the control group using conventional teaching methods. Data analysis included normality testing, homogeneity testing, and an independent sample t-test using SPSS software. The results showed that the average posttest score of the experimental group increased to 80.17, while the control group achieved an average of 70.83. The independent sample t-test yielded a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.009 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Android-based interactive learning media Solite Kids is effective in improving Fiqh learning outcomes among seventh-grade students at MTsN 3 Kota Surabaya.
