Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of applying blended learning using WhatsApp Group (WAG) on students' critical thinking skills in online learning in elementary schools. The research was conducted to obtain an overview of critical thinking skills in Social Sciences subjects. The subjects of this study were 40 fourth-grade students of SDN Cibabat 5, Cimahi Utara District, Cimahi City. This type of research is pre-experimental research with a One-Shot Case Study design. The data analysis technique used statistical tests with the One-Sample t-test at the 95% confidence level. The results of the research show that the value of t-count > t-table is 3.909> 2.023, and the value of sig. (2-tailed) <0.05, that meaning there is an effect of applying blended learning using WhatsApp Group (WAG) on students' critical thinking skills in online learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Academics tend to not pay adequate attention to the student’s civic community, especially around its contribution to the formation of good citizens. Meanwhile, the era continues to evolve and civic student’s civic continues to change by aiming to emphasise its function as a forum for coaching students to acquire or add skills outside the classroom. This research focused on social protests in digital political communication through civic community among students. The method used in this research was qualitative phenomenology. The findings in this study indicated that social protest in digital political communication through the civic community among student has various schemes. Social media, a medium of political communication expression, has a role in providing a place to be active as an individual.

Abstract

Abstract: This article is based on the qualitative grounded research about the role of PKn as the citizen value, moral, and character education. The results of the interview from experts, history actors, and national figures, observation, and literature study concluded about the role of PKn as value and moral education had contribution to the development of the citizen character. In effort to develop autonomy citizen and democratic society PKn education should be taught through democratic way, i.e. development of citizenship literacy, social and cultural communication, problem solving, reasoning, and participation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is purposed by to describe the efforts of schools in improving the creativity of learners in the subject of Civics through the implementation of PBL. The research methodology used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects are including principals, teachers, and learners. In collecting the data, the techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation and conclusion/verification. The result of this research shows that the efforts of the school and the principal's role in enhancing the creativity of learners are maximal. It can be proved in the provision of opportunities for learners to explore and to develop the potential and capabilities they had. Schools also provide programs "foster friends" with the purpose diminishes the administrative burden of students, especially those from poor families. Abstract

This research is motivated by the common problem a teacher usually encounters is choosing or determining the course of study which exactly suited in helping students to achieve their competence.Approach which is used in this research is qualitatively method of case of study. Observation, interviews, documentation analysis and triangulation are the process of collecting data for this research. The data is analyzed through data reduction and display, and conclusion. The result of this research shows that(1) Teacher creativity in establishing the course of study learning process in high school acceleration class at SMAN 1 Banjarmasin such as teacher’s knowledge about the course, kind of the course used in learning process and the teaching method and learning model that teachers used are good enough. (2). Factors which prevent teacher creativities course of study in civic education learning process in high school acceleration class are internal factors and eksternal factors (3) efforts that school and teachers needed to improve teacher creativities in establishing the course of study in civic education learning process in high school acceleration class at SMAN 1 Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran pendidikan kewarganegaraan global sebagai resolusi konflik sosial. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kepustakaan, yaitu mengumpulkan data dari artikel ilmiah, laporan penelitian atau hal-hal lain yang relevan dengan topik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan kewarganegaraan global selalu berorientasi pada upaya dan peran warga negara dalam menjalankan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya sebagai warga negara yang baik. Konflik sosial di era global saat ini terjadi bukan hanya karena konflik internal antar masyarakat tetapi juga karena pengaruh globalisasi sehingga perlu dilakukan upaya yang strategis dan sistematis dalam upaya penyelesaian permasalahan tersebut diantarinya melalui pembelajaran pendidikan berbasis resolusi konflik online, sekolah pendidikan perdamaian berbasis, mediasi rekan sebagai bentuk resolusi konflik sosial

Abstract

The use of learning models is one of the most important things in the process of implementing learning in elementary schools. The learning model applied in learning in elementary schools is the thematic ecolearning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the practical value of the thematic ecolearning model as a learning model in elementary schools. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were teachers and fourth grade students of SDN 9 Kuala Langsa. The results of this study describe the following; 1) Students are able to solve environmental problems in the learning process by using the thematic ecolearning model; 2) Learning problems that arise in everyday life make it easier for students to solve their problems; 3) Students are motivated in the learning process by using the thematic ecolearning model; and 4) Students are interested in learning to use the thematic ecolearning model.

Abstract

This study was motivated by globalization progress, causing the Indonesian people to lose national character and leave local wisdom from generation to generation. Therefore, it is necessary to have character building for students amidst technological advances so that the character traits of students can be applied in everyday life. One of the learning activities with character education is a social science, especially at the elementary school level. This study aimed to analyze the local wisdom-based character building through social science learning in elementary schools. This study used a qualitative approach with a library research method. Based on the results, the local wisdom-based character education through social science learning in elementary schools had to apply 18 character traits defined by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Elementary schools include local wisdom values in their learning plans and apply them to thematic learning.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan berbagai upaya yang dilakukan guru untuk menciptakan suasana kelas yang kondusif dalam proses internalisasi nilai karakter disiplin di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Muhammadiyah Sapen Yogyakarta, dengan subjek guru dan siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data yang digunakan adalah teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklim kelas yang kondusif merupakan hal penting yang harus diperhatikan dalam proses internalisasi nilai karakter disiplin di sekolah, khususnya sekolah dasar. Beberapa kegiatan yang dilakukan guru pada tahap perencanaan adalah mempersiapakan sarana dan prasarana kelas, meliputi wastafel di dekat kelas, rak sepatu, tempat sampah, tempat mengumpulkan tugas siswa, tata tertib kelas, pesan-pesan afektif, daftar piket, dan sebagainya. Selanjutnya pada tahap pelaksanaan pembelajaran, guru perlu melakukan proses pembelajaran sesuai dengan yang telah direncanakan, dan menjaga konsistensi dalam penerapan aturan sekolah maupun aturan kelas. Pada tahap akhir yaitu evaluasi terhadap proses belajar mengajar guru perlu melakuukan refleksi tentang perilaku disiplin siswa pada hari itu. Dalam upaya menciptakan iklim kelas yang kondusif tidak terlepas dari keteladanan kepala sekolah. Kata Kunci: internalisasi, karakter disiplin, iklim kelas INTERNALIZATION OF THE CHARACTER OF DISCIPLINE THROUGH THE CREATION OF CONDUCIVE CLASSROOM ATMOSPHERE AT MUHAMMADIYAH SAPEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN YOGYAKARTA Abstract: This study aims to find the various effortsmade by the teachersto create a conducive classroom atmosphere for the internalization process of the character of discipline in elementary school. This was a descriptive study using a qualitative approach conducted at Muhammadiyah Sapen Elementary School in Yogyakarta, with the subjects consisting of teachers and students. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. Data validity was achieved throughatriangulation technique. The results show that the conducive classroom is an important aspect that must be considered in the internalization process of the character of discipline in schools, particularly in primary schools. Some of the activities carried out at the planning stage were: teachers prepared class infrastructure, covering the washbasin near the classroom, shoe racks, rubbish bins, the box for submitting students’ assignments, classroom rules, affective messages, picket list, and so on. Then, in the implementation phase of learning, teachers needed to run the teaching and learning process as planned, and maintain consistency in the application of the school rules and the classroom rules. At the final stage, evaluation of the teaching and learning process, the teachers needed to reflect on the behavior of the students’ discipline on the day. The effort to create a conduciveclassroom atmospherecould not be separated from the principal’s role model. Keywords : internalization, character of discipline, classroom atmosphere

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana membangun wawasan global warga negara muda berlandaskan pada nilai-nilai Pancasila sebagai karakter bangsa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode grounded theory. Sumber data terdiri dari sumber kepustakaan dan responden yang dipilih dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi dokumentasi dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan analisis induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai Pancasila sebagai karakter bangsa Indonesia harus dijadikan sebagai landasan dalam pengembangan wawasan global warga negara muda. Sila kedua Pancasila menjadi pintu utama pengembangan wawasan global warga negara muda. Pancasila sebagai landasan dalam pengembangan wawasan global warga negara, membawa implikasi bahwa warga negara muda di sekolah tidak hanya menjadikan nilai-nilai Pancasila sebagai slogan, melainkan harus diterapkan dan diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kata Kunci: wawasan global, warga negara muda, Pancasila BUILDING A GLOBAL PERPECTIVE OF YOUNG CITIZENS HAVING PANCASILA CHARACTER Abstract: This research aims to find outhow to build a global perspective of young citizens based on the values of Pancasilaas the character of the Indonesian nation. This research used a qualitative approach with a grounded theory method. The data sources consisted of literature and respondents selected using a purposive sampling method. Data collection techniques used documentation and interviews. The data were analyzed using inductive analysis. The results showed that the values of Pancasila as the character of the Indonesian nation must be used as the basis to build a global insight of young citizens. The second pillar of Pancasila became the maingate to building a global insight of young citizens. Pancasila as the basis for building a global insight of young citizens brought the implication that young citizensin the school did not only use the values of Pancasila as a slogan, but must be applied and implemented in their daily lives.
