Abstract

Character is an urgent part for students to achieve success. However, the character value of students was still low. The solution to the problem is to integrate character education into learning materials. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of integrating character education into physics teaching material on student learning outcomes in the knowledge aspect. This type of research can be categorized into the method of meta-analysis. There are 22 national and international articles from 2013 to 2021 analyzed to determine the effect size. The data analysis technique is to calculate the effect size of each article. Based on the results of the study it is known that the integrated teaching materials for character education in physics teaching materials have a significant effect on learning outcomes on aspects of student knowledge. First, integrated teaching materials for the character education aspect of knowledge are very high, namely 1.76, in the class XI level category. Second, integrated teaching materials for character education provide a significant effect on learning outcomes in the knowledge aspect for the types of learning materials, namely teaching materials/teaching books with an effect size score of 1.96 in the high category. Third, integrated teaching materials for character education are effectively used at the high school level, namely work and energy, which has a score of 1.90. This means that the integrated learning material for character education have a significant effect both for class levels, types of learning materials, and learning materials.

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of teaching materials in science and physics learning based on a scientific approach on student learning outcomes determined through Effect Size. This research uses a descriptive study method. Research data was obtained from 20 journals regarding the influence of scientific approach-based science and physics teaching materials on student learning outcomes. The study is based on three categories, namely aspects of student learning outcomes, level of education and type of teaching materials. The research results show that in the aspects of student learning outcomes, namely knowledge, attitudes and skills, all three have a high measurement category with an effect size value of 1.05 each; 1.06 and 0.94. The influence of scientific approach-based teaching materials on high school students is better than on middle school students with mean effect sizes of 1.06 (high) and 0.70 (medium) respectively. The use of worksheets with a scientific approach has the greatest influence on student learning outcomes compared to other types of teaching materials with an effect size value of 1.15 (very high).

Abstract

Student success in learning is very necessary to see the extent to which students are able to solve problems. However, it turns out that student learning outcomes are still low. The solution to overcome this problem is to apply the inquiry learning model during learning. This research aims to determine the effect of the inquiry learning model on student learning outcomes. The application of the inquiry model is seen from the level of education and physics and science lessons. This type of research is meta-analysis. Meta-analysis is research carried out by summarizing research data, reviewing and analyzing research data from several previously existing research results. This research article consists of 11 articles that have ISSN. The instruments used are category codes and effect size calculations. The steps of meta-analysis are conducting a literature review, collecting data, researching and assessing articles, analyzing and interpreting articles, and compiling report results. The data analysis technique in this research is to calculate the magnitude of the effect using a formula based on the mean. From the data analysis carried out, two research results can be stated. First, the application of the inquiry learning model has a significant effect on the level of education and subject matter, especially physics and science.

Education is currently trying to make students able to master the skills of the 21st century. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the integrated e-module PBL model with differentiated learning on students' mastery of concepts and collaboration skills. The research design used in this research is classroom action research. The data collection instrument consists of two parts, namely the collaboration skills observation sheet and the writing test. Based on the results of data analysis, the results of increasing the average value of each indicator of collaboration skills in cycle I and cycle II due to the application of the integrated e-module PBL model with differentiated learning are: I1 = 13.19%, I2 = 8.33 %, I3 = 6.02%, I4 = 11.11%, I5 = 11.1%. While the increase in student knowledge aspect learning outcomes is 15.5%. Based on the research results, it is known that the application of the integrated e-module PBL model with differentiated learning can improve students' collaboration skills and mastery of concepts, which are skills needed in 21st century education.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the development of electronic teaching materials based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to promote student’s critical thinking skills. Ideally, education should facilitate students in thinking critically, creatively, and independently when facing various problems. However, challenges in achieving this ideal condition often arise due to the lack of effective learning models. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study examines various previous studies related to develop of electronic teaching materials based on Problem Based Learning. Based on the literature analysis conducted, it was found that research on the development of electronic teaching materials using the Problem-Based Learning model has been discussed in 20 journal articles analyzed. These articles indicate that the Problem-Based model in electronic teaching materials has great potential in facilitating the improvement of critical thinking skills, especially in the context of interactive and structured learning. These findings are expected to provide insights for curriculum developers and educators in designing more effective and innovative teaching materials, as well as to encourage further research in this field

Abstract

Critical thinking is a crucial 21st-century skill that students need to develop. However, initial studies indicate that students' critical thinking skills are still relatively low. This study aimed to develop digital teaching materials integrated with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model that are both valid and practical to improve students' critical thinking abilities. The research followed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the Hannafin and Peck development model. The development process reached the limited trial stage, conducted with Grade X students. Data were collected through expert validation sheets and student practicality questionnaires. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to describe the validity and practicality results in the form of tables and graphs. The findings showed that the digital teaching materials were valid and practical. Expert evaluations resulted in an average score of 83.6, indicating excellent validity in content, visual design, instructional design, software functionality, and PBL integration. Students gave an average score of 82.2, reflecting very high practicality in terms of usefulness, ease of use, clarity, appeal, and affordability. Based on these results, the alternative energy-themed digital teaching materials integrated with the PBL model are considered effective for supporting classroom learning and enhancing students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has brought significant changes in the world of education. Students are expected to be able to understand technology in learning. Based on observations conducted at SMAN 3 Solok, several problems were found in physics learning, including the limited availability of interactive digital teaching materials and low technological literacy and conceptual understanding of students. To address this, a needs analysis stage was conducted with a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Hannafin and Peck model. Data were obtained from teacher questionnaires in the form of teaching material use, student questionnaires to determine student characteristics, technological literacy performance assessment sheets in the form of questions according to technological literacy indicators, and learning outcome documents to see student conceptual understanding. The results of the analysis showed that the teaching materials used were not yet technology-based, students' technological literacy skills were low, and student scores were still below the minimum completeness criteria. Based on these data, it is necessary to develop interactive multimedia teaching materials that integrate conceptual understanding and technological literacy.

Abstract

Twenty first century education emphasizes the development of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills through the use of digital technology and innovative learning models. This study aims to map and analyze the effectiveness of integrating the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model into e-modules to improve students' problem-solving skills in physics learning. This study employed bibliometric analysis by reviewing literature published between 2017 and 2025, using VOSviewer software for data visualization and analysis. The documents analyzed were articles indexed in the Scopus database, selected based on their relevance to the development, implementation, or integration of e-modules in physics education that use or are related to the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. These findings reveal that research on PBL integration in e-module development is still relatively new, but shows promising potential for innovation in physics learning. Network and density visualizations indicate that this topic is continuously evolving and aligned with current educational demands. Recent trends indicate that integrating PBL into e-modules can significantly improve students' problem-solving skills while addressing low academic achievement. Therefore, this study highlights the importance of implementing innovative learning models as a strategic effort to improve the quality of learning and educational outcomes in the 21st century.
