Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the Whole Language method on the learning interest and concept understanding ability of third-grade students at SD Negeri 15 Sungai Gayung Kiri. The research uses an experimental design with control and experimental groups. Pretests and posttests are used to measure changes in students' learning interest and concept understanding. The results show that the Whole Language method has a significantly positive impact on both variables. Students in the experimental group demonstrate a higher increase in learning interest and concept understanding compared to the control group. This improvement is evident from the active involvement of students in learning activities and their ability to identify, apply, and generalize the concepts learned. These findings indicate that the Whole Language method is effective in enhancing the quality of language learning and concept understanding in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of educational games on critical thinkking skills of students at SDN Daleman 1. In the increasingly advanced digital era, educational games have become one of the interesting and interactive learning media. Educational games are believed to be able to encourage the development of critical thinking skills, such as analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and problem solving skills. These findings indicate that educational games can be an effective tool to improve students’ thinking skills, which are very important in facing the challenges of an increasingly complex world.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse students’ perceptions of the use of cartoon films as a medium in vocabulary learning. The subjects in this study were 36 students in the tenth grade of SMA Negeri 10 Gowa for the 2023/2024 school year using purposive sampling techniques. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection techniques in this study were interviews and field records. The data analysis techniques used in this study were reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. Based on the study results, it was shown that the respondents used three aspects of perception, namely the cognitive aspect, the affective aspect and the conative aspect. Of the three aspects, there were two dominant aspects, namely the cognitive and the affective aspects. The results of students’ perceptions show that the use of cartoon movies as a medium in vocabulary learning is very good because students get a lot of new vocabulary, students became aware of word pronunciation and correct word writing, become more happy to learn English, more enthusiastic to learn and remember a lot of new vocabulary.

Abstract

Porpuse: This study aims to determine the effect of Brand Image, Brand Trust, and Brand Loyalty on Purchase Intention of wardah products. By using quantitative research with hypothesis testing, this study involved a sample of 156 respondents who used wardah skin care products. The analysis methods used include multiple linear regression. multiple linear regression, coefficient of determination (R2), coefficient of correlation and determination, t test, F test, and classical assumption test. using WarpPLS 7.0 software. Primary data for research was obtained through questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that Brand Image, Brand Trust, and Brand Loyalty have a significant effect on the Purchase Intention of Wardah skin care products. Wardah skin care products. In addition, brand image also has a considerable role in influencing the purchase intention of Wardah skin care products. However, perceived quality does not have a significant influence on the purchase intention of Wardah skincare products. Wardah skincare products.

Abstract

Postpartum mothers often experience obstacles in the process of breastfeeding their babies, namely insufficient or irregular breast milk production which can cause health problems for both the mother and the baby. One effort to increase breast milk production is through Oketani Breast Massage (OBM). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of providing OBM interventions on increasing breast milk production in post-cesarean mothers. This study uses a case report method. Participants in this study were Mrs. W P1A0 post-cesarean due to indications of PEB and breech presentation. Data collection techniques include interviews, physical examinations and supporting examinations. OBM therapy is carried out twice a day for 30 minutes in the morning and evening for 3 days of treatment at the Hospital and evaluation is carried out by observing the frequency and duration of breastfeeding, the frequency of urination and defecation of the baby, the sucking response and the quality of the baby's sleep to determine the increase in breast milk production. Meanwhile, to assess the success of breastfeeding using the LATCH assessment score instrument including breastfeeding attachment, baby swallowing sound, mother's nipple shape, mother's comfort, and baby's position when breastfeeding. The results of the study showed an increase in the frequency and duration of breastfeeding, the frequency of urination and defecation of the baby, the baby's sucking response was adequate and the baby appeared to sleep soundly, and the success of breastfeeding also increased after OBM was performed. OBM is effective in increasing breast milk production in post-cesarean mothers because its working principle is like a baby's sucking by stimulating the pectoralis muscles of the breast and stimulating the hormones prolactin and oxytocin so that breast milk production becomes more and of better quality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi implementasi model pembelajaran Gallery Walk untuk meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dalam diskusi pada mata pelajaran Sejarah kelas XI SMA Negeri 22 Makassar. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, pembelajaran sejarah di kelas ini masih berpusat pada guru dan kurang melibatkan keaktifan siswa, sehingga inovasi pembelajaran diperlukan untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih dinamis dan interaktif. Metode Gallery Walk diterapkan untuk mendorong kolaborasi, diskusi, dan pemahaman materi melalui interaksi langsung antar kelompok. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam partisipasi siswa, kolaborasi kelompok, serta semangat belajar. Selain itu, hasil belajar siswa, baik secara akademis maupun sikap, juga meningkat, mencerminkan perkembangan keterampilan sosial, rasa percaya diri, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mereka.Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya inovasi pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa untuk mengatasi tantangan belajar. Dengan menerapkan metode yang tepat dan pendekatan personal, pembelajaran sejarah menjadi lebih efektif, menyenangkan, dan bermakna, sekaligus membekali siswa dengan keterampilan yang relevan untuk masa depan. Model Gallery Walk terbukti relevan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran inovatif untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang produktif dan inklusif. Abstract

Introduction: Egg shells of purebred chickens (Gallus gallus) are one of the wastes that contain active calcium compounds, especially calcium carbonate compounds which have a physical blocker mechanism of action in sunscreens by reflecting UV radiation to form an opaque layer on the surface of the skin. Method: Method: This research method was experimental in the laboratory by making 4 sunscreen gel formulas from purebred chicken eggshell powder with a concentration of 15% consisting of F0 without base, F1 Carbopol 940 0.5% and 1% HPMC, F2 Carbopol 940 0.75% and HPMC 0.75%, F3 Carbopol 940 1% and HPMC 0.5%. Evaluation of sunscreen gel preparations included the stability of the preparation in the organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, viscosity test, spreadability test, adhesion test and microbial contamination test. Result: All sunscreen gel preparation formulas show a brownish-white color, thick texture, characteristic odor, and are homogeneous. The pH value is 7. The adhesion value is > 1 second. Spread power value 5-7 cm. Viscosity values ​​in the range of 2000-50,000 cps. The results of the stability test at room temperature, cold temperature and hot temperature remained stable during 28 days of storage, there were no changes from organoleptic observations, homogeneity and pH, but there was a decrease in the viscosity value at room temperature and hot temperature storage and a change in the color of the preparation at hot temperatures. And the results of the microbial contamination test with the Total Plate Count test of the 4 formulas met the requirements of <102 colonies/mL. Conclusion. Based on this, it can be concluded that purebred chicken egg shell powder (Gallus gallus) can be formulated into a facial serum cosmetic preparation and meets the quality requirements according to SNI.

Abstract

Introduction: A wound is a condition where tissue continuity is broken by trauma from sharp or blunt objects, temperature changes, chemicals, electricity, radiation, or animal bites. One of the plants used as a wound healer is binahong leaves (Anredera Cordifolia (Tenore) Steenis). In previous studies, screening tests have been carried out and the results state that binahong leaves contain alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, steroid and triterpenoid compounds that can accelerate the wound healing process. The purpose of this study was to determine whether binahong leaf patches can be used as wound healers with extract concentrations of 35%, 40% and 45%. Method: experimental research method in the laboratory. Result: the results of the patch preparation effectiveness test in formula F0 = the incision wound takes a long time to dry and close, F1 = the wound closes very quickly, F2 = the wound closes quickly enough and F3 = the wound takes a while to close. Conclusion. Of the 4 formulas, F1 tends to be more effective as a wound healer.

Abstract

Pembentukan kesadaran lingkungan, Pendidikan lingkungan, tanggungjawab sosial, serta peran model pengembangan menjadi penting dalam membentuk generasi masa depan yang bertanggungjawab. Diantara implementasi penanaman sikap peduli lingkungan adalah memelihara dan menjaga kebersihan lingkungan sekolah, membuang sampah pada tempatnya, mencuci tangan dan menggunakan air secukupnya. Metode PkM adalah bentuk sosialisasi dengan fase pelaksanaan identifikasi masalah, penyusunan rencana, pemilihan sasaran, pelaksanaan sosialisasi, pelibatan aktif sasaran dan refleksi. Sasaran dalam PkM adalah Siswa SMP negeri 3 Sindue Tobata. Luaran kegiatan PkM yang dihasilkan adalah meningkatnya kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan, membudayanya aktivitas positif baik di sekolah maupun di lingkungan sekitar. Tingkat pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa terhadap penanaman sikap peduli lingkungan meningkat secara signifikan.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatkan keterampilan berbicara melalui model pembelajaran Student Facilitator And Explaining Siswa kelas III UPTD SDN 60 Moncongloe Lappara Kecamatan Moncongloe Kabupaten Maros. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang terdiri dari dua siklus, setiap siklus meliputi empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III UPTD SDN 60 Moncongloe Lappara sebanyak 22 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara melalui model pembelajaran Student Facilitator And Explaining  mengalami peningkatan baik dalam tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Persentase ketuntasan klasikal pada pratindakan menunjukkan bahwa ketuntasan klasikal yaitu sebesar 44,54% dengan kategori sangat kurang, meningkat pada Siklus I yaitu sebesar 70,71% dengan kategori cukup, dan meningkat pada Siklus II yaitu sebesar 85% dengan kategori baik.
