Abstract

Learning retention is the ability of students to remember learning material after some time. The use of videoscribe animation-based science e-modules that can increase learning retention is rarely developed. The research aims to determine students' learning retention after using the videoscribe animation-based science E-module. This research is quantitative descriptive. The sample selection using cluster random sampling selected students from class VII.B of SMPN 5 Depok, Yogyakarta with a total of 32 students. The data collection technique is a test technique using a pretest and posttest question instrument totaling 6 questions. The test instrument is in the form of multiple-choice questions, to determine student retention, a retest is carried out one week after the posttest activity. The data analysis technique is quantitative descriptive to determine the score presentation. The pretest score percentage was 43.31% in the fair category, the posttest was 79.17% in the good category, and the retest score was 91.14% in the very good category. The use of videoscribe animation-based science e-modules influences student learning retention with the average being in the good category, indicating that student retention has increased after being taught using videoscribe animation-based e-modules

Abstract

The ability to think critically is one of the profiles of Pancasila students that students must possess in the independent curriculum. Critical thinking skills are one of the abilities that students need in solving problems. This research aims to describe the implementation of interactive Science ebooks based on PBL to enhance the critical thinking skills of students in the topic of environmental pollution. The research design used is quantitative descriptive. The research design used a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of the study is all seventh-grade students of SMPN in Yogyakarta. The sample of this research is the seventh-grade student’s one of the junior high schools in Yogyakarta, selected through simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used is a multiple-choice critical thinking test with five indicators. Indicators of critical thinking abilities are explaining, evaluation, concluding, analysis, and designing strategies. The results showed an improvement in critical thinking skills through the N-gain test of 0.8, indicating a high category. The average indicator of students' critical thinking skills who obtained the highest score was the explaining indicator with an average of 90.5%, while the indicator with the lowest average among students' critical thinking skills was the analysis indicator with an average of 70.01%. This indicates that the use of Science Ebook Innovation Based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) can enhance the critical thinking skills of students. It is expected that this research can provide references for future researchers, and innovations related to interactive teaching materials can be developed not only for one subject but for all subjects in middle school science.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the level of preparedness of students in facing earthquake disasters in three schools in Bambanglipuro and to provide recommendations for improving student preparedness. This study utilized a quantitative descriptive method involving 124 students as research samples. The research instrument used was an open-ended questionnaire that had been validated by subject matter experts and language experts. The questionnaire consisted of 17 items taken from four parameters of preparedness: attitude (6 items), emergency response planning (5 items), disaster warning systems (1 item), and social mobilization (4 items). The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA to determine the differences among the three junior high schools. Based on the research findings, it was found that overall, the three schools had similar levels of preparedness, with SMPN 2 Bambanglipuro being classified as "ready" at 80%, while SMP Muh Bambanglipuro and SMPN 1 Bambanglipuro were classified as "almost ready" at 79%. However, there were some parameters of preparedness where the students in all three schools were classified as "almost ready" or "ready," except for the attitude parameter in SMPN 2 Bambanglipuro, which was categorized as "low" at 53%.

Abstract

This study aims to explorepre-service teachers’ beliefs about mathematics. Those beliefs are defined into beliefs about mathematics as nature, beliefs about learning mathematics, and beliefs about teaching mathematics. Furthermore, each of the dimensions is characterized asconnectionist, transmission, or discovery. This is a survey study. All respondents were given a questionnaire involving nine rating statements using Likert Scale without the “neutral” level. The Cronbach Alpha value for the questionnaire is 0.71, which is considered to be good. In addition, to know more about the pre-service teachers’ beliefs,theyare also asked to elaborate the reasons of the rating they chose for each statement provided in the questionnaire. This study involved 65 pre-service mathematics teachers at a Mathematics Education Study Program of a private university in Indonesia. They were in the beginning of their fourth year atthe university. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the pre-service mathematics teachers involved in this study tend to have discovery orientation on the dimension of mathematics as nature. On the other hand, both dimensions of learning mathematics and teaching mathematics have transmission orientation. In addition, mathematics is seen as an applicable discipline which demands understanding concepts and communicating ideas.

Abstract

This research aims to improve fine motor skills through weaving activities. This research is Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were Group B children with a total of 15 children consisting of 9 boys and 6 girls for the 2020/2021 academic year. The object of this research is fine motor skills. Data collection techniques are carried out using observation and documentation. The tool used is an observation instrument sheet. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively quantitatively. This research was carried out in two cycles. The results of the research showed that the fine motor skills of Group B children at the Pre-Cycle stage achieved a new percentage of 40.00%, increasing in Cycle I by 52.78% and in Cycle II reaching 72.22% in the Developing According to Expectations (BSH) category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that weaving activities can improve fine motor skills in children aged 5-6 years at Inayah Kindergarten, Ujungbatu District, Rokan Hulu Regency. Abstract

The background to this research is the low fine motor skills of children which can be seen from the children still having difficulty in imitating making lines, children still having difficulty in cutting activities where the results of the cutting do not match the pattern and the children still being weak in eye and hand coordination. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve children's fine motor skills through playdough activities.The aim of this research was to determine the fine motor skills of children aged 5-6 years at the Tunas Harapan Pagaran Tapah Kindergarten, Rokan Hulu Regency. The benefit of this research is that it is hoped that it will be useful as knowledge to improve children's fine motor skills through playing with playdough. This type of research is classroom action research which is carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle being carried out in 3 meetings. The classroom action research design consists of 4 activities in 1 cycle, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The data collection tool used in this research is an observation sheet. The subjects in this research were 15 children from group B at Tunas Harapan Kindergarten, consisting of 9 boys and 8 girls. Based on the analysis of the assessment process from 2 cycles there was an increase, the increase that occurred was from pre-cycle to cycle I of 28.25%, cycle I to cycle II of 45.29% and an increase from pre-cycle to cycle II of 86.34%. From the results of this research, it was concluded that playing with playdough can improve children's fine motor skills in children aged 5-6 years at Tunas Harapan Pagaran Tapah Kindergarten, Rokan Hulu Regency. Abstract

This research aims to improve fine motor skills through collage activities. This research is Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were Group B children with a total of 15 children consisting of 9 boys and 6 girls for the 2020/2021 academic year. The object of this research was fine motor skills. Data collection techniques are carried out using observation and documentation. The tool used is an observation instrument sheet. The data analysis technique was carried out descriptively quantitatively. This research was carried out in two cycles. The results of the research showed that the percentage of achievement in the fine motor skills of Group B children at the Pre-Cycle stage was only 40.09%, increasing in Cycle I to 50.94% and in Cycle II reaching 73.88% in the Developing According to Expectations (BSH) category. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that throughcollage activities, fine motor skills can be improved in children aged 5-6 years at Raudhatul Hasanah Suka Damai Kindergarten, Ujungbatu District, Rokan Hulu Regency. Abstract

Artikel ini membahas perkembangan berbagai pendekatan dan metode terhadap gempa bumi. Studi dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif berdasarkan data sekunder dari artikel, laporan, buku yang diperoleh dari media internet. Keabsahan data dicek melalui trianggulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa pengetahuan tentang gempa bumi bersifat multidisiplin yang melibatkan bidang filsafat, teknik, sosiologi, ekonomi, kesehatan, pendidikan dan manajemen bencana. Sebelum abad ke-16, pengetahuan tentang gempa bumi berasal dari pengalaman, mitos, kepercayaan, filsafat dan agama. Ilmu pengetahuan tentang gempa bumi dalam pendekatan sains modern mulai berkembang sejak abad ke-16, awal era insdustrialisasi abad ke-19 sampai sekarang. Pandangan sains modern mengalami berbagai kemajuan dalam mengungkapkan sisi mekanis gempa bumi, serta aspek-aspek lain sosio-kultural, ekonomi, kesehatan, pendidikan dan manajemen yang saling melengkapi. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif lintas disiplin, seperti melalui studi fenomenalogi, etnografi, sejarah, studi kasus, eksperimen, survei. Artikel ini merekomendasikan perlunya pendekatan holistik melalui pendekatan sistem interdisipliner dalam pengembangan pengetahuan tentang gempa bumi.

Abstract

Abstract This study analyzes in depth the murabahah contract from the perspective of Islamic law and Islamic banking practices in Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that murabahah has a strong legal basis, but its implementation in the field still faces several challenges, such as determining the cost of goods and transparency of information. Factors such as the quality of human resources and public awareness also influence the success of murabahah. This study concludes that efforts are needed to improve the quality and effectiveness of murabahah financing through more in-depth legal studies, innovative product development, and increasing public financial literacy. Abstrak Penelitian ini menganalisis secara mendalam akad murabahah dalam perspektif hukum Islam dan praktik perbankan syariah di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa murabahah memiliki landasan hukum yang kuat, namun implementasinya di lapangan masih menghadapi beberapa tantangan, seperti penetapan harga pokok barang dan transparansi informasi. Faktor-faktor seperti kualitas sumber daya manusia dan kesadaran masyarakat juga mempengaruhi keberhasilan murabahah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa perlu adanya upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan efektivitas pembiayaan murabahah melalui kajian hukum yang lebih mendalam, pengembangan produk yang inovatif, serta peningkatan literasi keuangan masyarakat. Abstract

AbstrakBullying merupakan salah satu masalah sosial yang signifikan di lingkungan Pendidikan berdampak jangka panjang terhadap perkembangan psikologis dan sosial anak-anak. Tindakan bullying yang terjadi di sekolah dapat merusak rasa aman, menurunkan kepercayaan diri, serta menyebabkan trauma emosional yang mendalam pada korban. Pengabdian melalui penyuluhan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pentingnya menciptakan sekolah yang ramah anak sebagai langkah pencegahan bullying dengan fokus pada pendekatan holistik yang melibatkan pihak sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat sebagai bagian dari upaya menciptakan lingkungan yang aman dan inklusif terwujudnya sekolah ramah anak berperan dalam memberikan perlindungan, menciptakan rasa saling menghormati, dan mengembangkan keterampilan sosial anak-anak untuk menghindari perilaku agresif seperti bullying. Pendekatan ini meliputi program penyuluhan melalui sosialisasi stop bullying membangun sekolah ramah anak yang menekankan pada nilai-nilai empati, penghargaan terhadap perbedaan, serta keterampilan dalam mengelola konflik secara konstruktif. selain itu, perlunya partisipasi aktif dari orang tua dan masyarakat dalam mendukung kebijakan anti-bullying di sekolah juga ditekankan. Melalui pembentukan budaya sekolah yang ramah anak diharapkan perilaku bullying dapat diminimalisir serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan mental dan emosional siswa. Pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan yang lebih humanis dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan anak-anak sebagai korban dan pelaku bullying. Kata Kunci: bullying; sekolah ramah anak; pencegahan bullying; pendidikan inklusif; kebijakan pendidikan. AbstractBullying is one of the significant social problems in the educational environment that has a long-term impact on the psychological and social development of children. This service through counseling aims to examine the importance of creating child-friendly schools as a step to prevent bullying with a focus on a holistic approach involving schools, parents, and the community as part of efforts to create a safe and inclusive environment. The realization of child-friendly schools plays a role in providing protection, creating mutual respect, and developing children's social skills to avoid aggressive behavior such as bullying. This approach includes a counseling program through the socialization of stop bullying, building child-friendly schools that emphasize the values of empathy, respect for differences, and skills in managing conflict constructively. In addition, the need for active participation from parents and the community in supporting anti-bullying policies in schools is also emphasized. Through the formation of a child-friendly school culture, it is hoped that bullying behavior can be minimized, as well as improving the mental and emotional well-being of students. This service is expected to contribute to the development of education policies that are more humanistic and responsive to the needs of children as victims and perpetrators of bullying. Keywords: bullying; child-friendly schools; bullying prevention; inclusive education; education policy
