Abstract

This critical discourse analysis tried to reveal that a discourse is never neutral, even though it tends to become normative with repetitive use. In this case revealing the social problems and power relations exist in a part of advice issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia, and also the ideology represented, the intertextuality, and the connections between social and cultural structures that may exists become the aims of the analysis . The analysis using CDA proved that the advice issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia may means 1) there was an exercise of power from the authority to its citizens, 2) The ideology of terrorist threat which existed in parts of the text served as a black campaign for Indonesia, and 3) the discourse also challenged the Australian Identity especially for the Aborigine.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain data and information about the level of formal education, as well as providing employee motivation and employee performance in the Office of the South Tapanuli DPRD Office and to know the relationship of formal education and work motivation to the performance of employees in the South Tapanuli DPRD Office. This research was conducted in South Tapanuli DPRD Office with total sample of 75 people and the instrument used was questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaire was tested using Moment Correlation Technique with a result of 0.14. The data analysis technique used is F test at significant alpha level of 0.05. The results obtained show that the arithmetic F calculate is greater than F-table (18.3> 3.13). With degrees of freedom dk = 72 (n-k-1) k = 2, = 75 at a significant level of 95% and alpha 5%. Thus a hypothesis stating "there is a positive relationship between formal education and work motivation on employee performance in the South Tapanuli DPRD Office" is acceptable. It is clear that if formal education and employee motivation improved, it will be able to improve the performance of employees in Padang Sidempuan Mayor’s Office. Thus, formal education needs to be improved as well as motivation to improve employee performance.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe phenomenon of the "megadolar" case that occurred in Enron Corporation and the profits stated over stated at PT. Kimia Farma caused by earnings management. Earning management results in reporting on financial statements asymmetry with the actual situation. This can bring huge losses to shareholders because financial statements are the main basis for shareholders in conducting business transactions. Utami (2005) in his research stated that Indonesia is the country with the most rice earning management. Thus it is important for investors and shareholders in Indonesia to look at things that can trigger earnings management and what can prevent earnings management. In this study the researchers tested the effect of good corporate governance, free cash flow, and leverage on wealth earning management and shareholders. The researcher examines the effect of good corporate governance as a variable that can prevent earnings management and test free cash flow and leverage as triggers for earnings management.In this study using a sample of 178 service sector companies taken through the Yamane method with a sampling method namely purposive sampling in the 2014-2016 period. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study using the Partial Least Square Path Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results showed that good corporate governance proved to have a significant negative effect on earnings management while shareholders in wealth had a significant positive influence. Free cash flow proved to be insignificant to earning management while shareholder wealth had a significant positive effect. The leverage variable proved to have a significant negative relationship to earnings management as well as wealth shareholders. Keyword:  good  corporate  governance,  free  cash  flow,  leverage  earning management, shareholder wealth.

Abstract

The development of education in Indonesia has increased very rapidly. One of the things that have become a benchmark for success in the quality of education at the university is the kind of job getting graduates after graduation. This research aims to identify factors that have an impact on the type of job classification method based on the C 4.5 alumni algorithm. The methodology of this research begins with the study of literature, the identification of a process of data extraction, data selection, data collection, data processing, data testing, and DA conclusion. This research uses some features of the data on a few faculty members, the year of graduation, the annual completion rate, and the strength as a classification performance parameter. Graduates data used up to 259, and consisted of 3 faculties of Economics, medicine and engineering forces from 2001-2013 and graduated from 2011-2016. The research results that have been done is if it comes from the Faculty of Economics, in 2011 and 2012 the majority of work in the private sector has passed, if it comes from the Faculty of Medicine with the years 2011 and 2012 graduated with a cumulative labor rate of between 3 to 3.5 majority working in The private sector, 2012 with a GPA between 3 and 3.5 working in the Private Sector. Finally, the C4.5 algorithm is suitable for the classification of alumni work types.

Abstract

Student and Alumni data Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta is very common, and one of these is the alumni data obtained from work after the completion of undergraduate studies. Former students are given jobs caused or influenced by a range of factors. This research aims to have the grace period Classification or old alumni gain positions by triggering a process of data extraction and using the Bayes naïve classification algorithm. The algorithms used later succeeded in predicting sooner or later to get a job, the predictive results alumni can be used to make decisions to improve the quality of a university. Research on the support system using several parameters, i.e., gender, faculty, GPA, year of graduation, and job status. The data used are as much as 435, including seven years of 2011-2014 volume. The results of this study have the accuracy level of former students having the grace period come to 71% and of the calculated results of the predictions of the former students obtaining a job at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta of the year 2011-2014 the Ensure that the work is carried out more quickly with the status of the slow to deliver the work

Abstract

Attention to children has long existed and is in line with human civilization itself, which is growing from day to day. Children are sons of life, the future of the nation and state. The purpose of this study is (1) To find out how the criminal punishment system of children who are faced with the law of decency crime, case study of Decision Number 30 / Pid. Sus-Anak / 2016 / PN South Jakarta. (2) To find out the form of protection and assistance for children who are faced with the law of decency according to Article 59A letter d of Law Number 35 Year 2014 Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection. The method used is a type of normative juridical research, which is focused on examining the application of rules or norms in positive law. It can be concluded that: (1) In the initial stage, namely the determination of the suspect from the police, then the arrest and detention shall be carried out for a maximum of 7 (seven) days and can be extended by the public prosecutor for 8 (eight) days. (2) The state, the government, regional government, society, and parents or guardians are carried out, responsible for the implementation of child protection by applying diversion and restorative justice for the deliberation process with the police, public prosecutors, judges, correctional institutions, perpetrators and people parents, victims and parents, non-governmental organizations, social services, communities with a full sense of kinship that contains the values ​​of justice restorative to create legal certainty, justice and benefit.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce a design product of self-massage and exercise therapy for handling knee injuries independently to help recover quickly and accurately so that they can return to sports activities comfortably. The research method used is Research and Development (R & D). The trial subjects for product testing are Persik Kendal, soccer players. The steps of the study include objective analysis, literature review, analysis of research subject characteristics, product design development, initial product preparation, expert validation, product revision, small-scale trials, revisions, large-scale trials, final product improvements. Qualitative data analysis, assessed from the feasibility of the product. The results of this study are tutorial videos and self-massage, and exercise therapy manual for knee injuries. Both products are rated right by experts with an average of 90% and 70%. The product is also considered good by media experts on the video tutorial content. The results of the application of the product on the research subjects that the study subjects experienced a decrease in pain in knee injuries after performing self-massage, and exercise therapy through video media, and guidebooks. Research conclusions in the form of manual book products, and self-massage tutorial videos, and exercise therapy to deal with knee injuries effectively applied by sports people.

Abstract

Ikan merupakan sumber bahan pangan yang bermutu tinggi terutama karena ikan banyak mengandung protein, lemak, vitamin dan mineral yang sanggat dibutuhkan oleh manusia. Untuk mendapatkan nilai tambah dari ikan Nila maka perlu dilakukan diversifikasi pengolahan untuk menciptakan produk baru serta memperpanjang daya awet ikan. Salah satu diversifikasi pengolahan adalah pengolahan dendeng ikan. Komposisi bahan baku dan pencampuran bumbu-bumbu dalam pengolahan produk dendeng akan mempengaruhi kualitas dendeng yang dihasilkan. Salah satunya yaitu gula merah, gula merah adalah zat senyawa organik yang dapat mengikat air, memodifikasi rasa, warna, tekstur dan memperlambat pertumbuhan mikroba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karateristik dendeng Ikan Nila dengan penambahan konsentrasi gula aren berbeda.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni-Agustus 2013 yang dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kimia Hasil Pertanian (LKHP) Jurusan Teknologi Hasil Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya Indralaya, dengan mengunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang diulang sebanyak tiga kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan perlakuan penambahan konsentrasi gula aren berbeda, berpengaruh nyata terhadap tekstur, lightness, chroma, hue, kadar air, kadar abu, kadar lemak, kadar protein dan karbohidrat. Perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan G3 (penambahan gula 30%) dengan farameter fisik (tekstur 872,03 gf, lightness 35,33, chroma 6,80 dan hue 60,30), farameter kimia (kadar air 15,56%, kadar abu 4,32%, kadar lemak 14,36%, kadar protein 26,67% dan karbohidrat 38,04%), dan sensoris (penampakan 3,92%, aroma 4,00%, warna 3,92% dan rasa 4,24%).

Abstract

Biskuit merupakan jenis makanan yang biasa dikonsumsi oleh berbagai kalangan usia. Permasalahan rendahnya kandungan protein dan kalsium biskuit (crackers) diduga dapat diatasi dengan penambahan atau substitusi bahan dasar tepung terigu dengan bahan tepung lain yang kaya protein dan kalsium. Diduga ikan Patin Siam (Pangasius hypophthalmus) yang kaya protein dan kalsium dapat diolah menjadi tepung dan diaplikasikan pada pengolahan produk biskuit (crackers). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik fisik biskuit (crackers), mengetahui nilai mutu kimia biskuit (crackers) dan mengetahui nilai mutu organoleptik pada biskuit (crackers). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan taraf 1 (satu) perlakuan, 5 (lima) perlakuan, masing-masing perlakuan dilakukan 3 (tiga) kali ulangan. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini berupa penambahan tepung ikan Patin Siam (Pangasius hypophthalmus) pada pengolahan biskuit (crackers) dengan berbagai konsentrasi (B/B) yaitu: 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, (dari berat tepung terigu). Hasil penelitian karakteristik biskuit (crackers) yang difortifikasi dengan konsentrasi penambahan tepung ikan Patin Siam (Pangasius hypophthalmus) yang berbeda. Dapat diperoleh bahwa C2 (10% Tepung ikan Patin Siam (Pangasius hypopthalmus)) lebih baik dibandingkan dengan konsentrasi penambahan tepung ikan Patin Siam (Pangasius hypothalamus) yang lain.

Abstract

This study aims to describe which improvements improve learning outcomes by increasing contextual spending on class VIII 5 of SMP Negeri 1 Pringgasela. The type of research used in this study is classroom action research. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Pringgasela. The action phase is carried out in 2 cycles and each cycle consists of 2 meetings while meeting 1 implementation of the action and 2 cycle cycles. The results of this study can be concluded that the increase in student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 67.86% and the second cycle was 85.71%, while the increase in the ratio in the second cycle was 17.85%, this means that it is related to the application of simultaneous contextual learning support can improve student learning outcomes on citizenship subjects. This relates to the results of observations of student learning activities in the "Good" category and the results of observations of teacher activities in the "Very Good" category for cycles I and II.
