Abstract

Legal awareness of a rule is important to have because with it a person will be able to carry out their professional duties and roles well in society. Thus, this community service activity took the form of an effort to increase legal awareness aimed at library staff at UIN Gusdur Pekalongan. The legal awareness that wants to be increased in this case is legal understanding of Law no. 43 of 2007 which regulates libraries. The main objective of this service activity is so that the activity participants have legal awareness of the library law. The method used in this service activity took the form of exposure-socialization using the format of in-house training (IHT). The result of this service activity is increased legal awareness and legal commitment for library staff to be able to carry out their professional duties in providing library services well

Abstract

Dinasti Abbasiyyah telah meninggalkan khazanah peradaban yang memukau, salah satunya dalam konteks keilmuan. Darinya muncul berbagai ilmuan-ilmuan besar yang menginspirasi dunia. Dalam artikel ini dipaparkan secara deskriptif sejarah pendidikan Islam di masa dinasti Abbasiyah dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber dari penelitian ini berasal dari pustaka cetak maupun elektronik yang berkaitan dengan pendidikan Islam masa dinasti Abbasiyah. Adapun pendidikan sekarang juga sedikit banyak masih mengadopsi beberapa hal dari peninggalan sistem pendidikan dinasty Abbasiyah seperti madrasah. Adanya madrasah masih tetap terjaga sampai saat ini. Pada saat ini justru madrasah mengambil banyak peran di dunia pendidikan Islam kita. Pada saat ini seolah sudah menjadi segmen tersendiri bahawa madrasah adalah tempatnya anak-anak untuk belajar. Sedangkan masjid adalah tempat untuk ibadah.

Abstract

This article describes how the implementation of the cooperative learning method in fostering students' Al-Qur'an reading skills at SMK Negeri 03 Pekalongan. This is because the cooperative learning method is one of the methods that can be applied in learning the Qur'an. The cooperative learning method itself is proven to be able to improve students' ability to understand the material or lessons that have been given and to be able to solve problems collectively. This article was written using a qualitative approach with a type of field research. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis uses data reduction, presentation and conclusion. The results of the study show that the students' ability to read the Qur'an is quite good. PAI teachers at SMK Negeri 03 Pekalongan can foster students' ability to read the Koran through the implementation of the cooperative learning method which has three stages, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage, and the closing stage. However, in its application there are several obstacles, including attitudes, and obstacles in preparation or maturity in preparing the results of the discussion. As a solution to this problem, several efforts were made, namely forming appropriate and efficient groups and preparing the things needed when learning was carried out.

Abstract

Perkembangan Teknologi Informasi yang pesat berdampak besar terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan. Teknologi informasi merupakan jenis teknologi yang membantu manusia dalam mengolah dan memperoleh informasi, contohnya adalah Kecerdasan Buatan (AI). ChatGPT adalah AI dari OpenAI yang dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu belajar mandiri. Desa Kandangserang adalah sebuah desa di Kabupaten Pekalongan yang terletak di daerah pegunungan dan memiliki kondisi jalan yang kurang baik. Kondisi ini menyebabkan banyak pelajar di Desa Kandangserang memilih belajar di rumah secara mandiri saat musim hujan tiba, karena jalan menjadi sulit untuk dilalui. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan menyelenggarakan pelatihan ChatGPT bagi pelajar di Desa Kandangserang. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan ChatGPT sebagai alat bantu belajar mandiri bagi pelajar di Desa Kandangserang. Pelatihan dilakukan menggunakan metode presentasi dan praktik langsung. Peserta pelatihan diberi Pre-Test dan Post-Test untuk mengukur kemampuan awal dan akhir mereka terkait materi yang diajarkan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya kemampuan peserta dalam menggunakan ChatGPT untuk membantu mereka belajar secara mandiri, hal ini terlihat dari hasil kuesioner Pre-Test dan Post-Test dimana dari 6 pertanyaan yang diajukan, rata-rata terjadi peningkatan sebanyak 68,3% peserta yang awalnya menjawab tidak bisa menggunakan ChatGPT untuk mengerjakan sebuah perintah menjadi bisa menggunakannya setelah mengikuti pelatihan.

Abstract

Education development is one of the important things carried out by a government. In this case, madrasas are no exception as one part of educational development. In this case, this article aims to reconstruct the history of madrasa development by utilizing quantitative data available in Pekalongan City during the Pelita V era (1989-1994). Pekalongan City itself is an important city that was once the capital of the Pekalongan Residency which was projected as a trading city where the educational aspect was important to build. This article was written using the historical method with stages of heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. From the results of the study, it was found that the condition of madrasas in Pekalongan City in Pelita V, seen from the aspect of the number of schools, teachers and students, generally experienced fluctuations/dynamics. In this case, the construction of Madrasas at the elementary level (MI) at PELITA V in Pekalongan City is progressing well, although there is inequality, especially in the number of teachers. At the secondary level, both junior and senior (MTs and MA), madrasa development has increased and has had an impact on increasing educational participation.

Abstract

In general, there are still PAI teachers who only use the lecture method (conventionally) in their learning. This causes students to feel bored quickly during the learning process. However, this conventional lecture method can be varied with other methods to become a plus lecture method. The lecture plus method is a teaching method that uses more than one method, namely the lecture method combined with other methods. The purpose of implementing the plus lecture method is to fix various specific weaknesses of using the conventional lecture method. Thus, this article aims to provide an overview of the application of the plus lecture method at NU Kajen Middle School as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in its application. The article is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques are carried out using interviews, observation and documentation. Technical data analysis is carried out by reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions. From the results of the study, it is clear that in general the plus lecture method at NU Kajen Middle School is carried out in three stages, the first is delivering the material, the second and third stages are adjusting the plus lecture method that you want to use. The lecture plus method that is often used is the Lecture Plus Question and Answer and Assignment method. In its application, the lecture plus method has supporting factors, including having sufficient references, having adequate infrastructure, good teaching techniques, religion-based schools and teacher professionalism. Abstract

Learning the history of Islamic culture, which is identical to the lecture method of learning, is still often carried out by teachers of the history of Islamic culture. In general, learning is still centered on the teacher, which causes students to quickly feel bored when listening, observing and working on questions from the teacher. Therefore, teachers must provide variations in using learning models, one of which is by implementing the discovery learning model which requires students to be active in learning, where this model has the aim of guiding students so that they can find the learning concepts they want for themselves. This article aims to describe the application of discovery learning in Islamic cultural history subjects at MTs NU Tirto Pekalongan, as well as to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in its application. Based on the results of the study, an overview of the application of learning based on the discovery learning method in Islamic cultural history subjects at MTs NU Tirto Pekalongan was obtained, consisting of four stages, namely: First, planning which is the main description of a teacher in achieving learning objectives. Second, implementation which is an overall picture of when learning takes place, Third, evaluation is a systematic process to determine the effectiveness of the discovery learning learning model, Fourth, monitoring and adjustment by the teacher ensuring that learning takes place in accordance with the needs of students or not. Furthermore, in its implementation the supporting factors are adequate facilities and training or discussion space at MTs NU Tirto Pekalongan. Abstract

Teaching Islamic history is generally considered boring because most of the learning methods focus on storytelling. For this reason, other creative efforts are needed to make learning history enjoyable. One way is to apply video games in learning Islamic history. This is especially considering that video games apparently have a participatory dimension in learning Islamic history. This article then aims to present how video games are applied in learning Islamic history, especially conceptually considering that not many practices have been carried out systematically. This article was prepared using a qualitative approach supported by data collection methods in the form of literature studies. From the results of this study, it was found that video games can be applied in learning Islamic history if seen from their role as a medium for transferring information and values. Substantially, the form of application can be by choosing a video game as well as the game's tools and themes and then involving a mentor who directs and accompanies students to learn Islamic history well.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the public health problems that is still a serious concern in Indonesia, including in Pegirigan Village, Bantarbolang District, and Pemalang Regency. The decline in nutritional quality during the first 1000 days of life (DOL) is one of the leading causes of stunting. This article aims to describe the stunting prevention efforts carried out in Pegirigan Village, focusing on interventions involving families, communities, and the health sector. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation involving health workers, posyandu cadres, and families with toddlers in Pegirigan Village education. The results showed that stunting prevention efforts in this village have included educating children about healthy eating patterns, the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, monitoring child growth, and providing supplementary food for at-risk children. In addition, the active role of posyandu cadres and support from the local government is significant in increasing public awareness about the importance of good nutrition in preventing stunting. However, there are still challenges regarding resource availability and lack of family participation in stunting prevention programs. Therefore, it is necessary to increase coordination between the health, education, and community empowerment sectors to address this problem more effectively.

Abstract

One of the villages in the Pekalongan Regency area which is located on the coast, and has great potential in the fisheries (catch and cultivation) and marine sector, namely Semut Village. Shrimp and milkfish cultivation is a form of aquaculture that is widely developed in this village. In addition, there are also crab catching activities. Community empowerment activities through the use of existing land for the development of vaname shrimp cultivation. This activity lasts 2 months from April to June 2021. The main goal is to improve community skills in the process of vaname shrimp cultivation. Training, both practical and theoretical, was provided mainly in the form of knowledge and technical skills regarding the preparation of vaname shrimp ponds. The community involved in vaname shrimp cultivation activities in Semut Village is the "Kolbu Vaname Amanah Semut" group. The empowerment scheme is carried out by providing assistance in the form of a package of vaname shrimp fry, feed, and windmills through this group. Through this activity, the community felt a change in the form of additional knowledge, harvests, income, and technology development.
