Abstract

Currently, the existence of the Al-Qur'an Education Park is important, because apart from being a place for religious learning, it can also accommodate other activities, especially in this case Islamic art. One of the moments of an Islamic performance is usually shown in the haflah Akhirussanah activity. Thus, this service activity is carried out in the form of accompanying and training TPA students to encourage children/students to appear confident and motivate children to achieve better achievements. This service activity uses the service learning method by providing direct guidance to the objects of service (TPA students). From the results of the activities, we got an idea that the haflah Akhirussanah event went according to the activities that had been planned. The students looked enthusiastic and enthusiastic in participating in a series of activities starting from preparatory exercises to holding the event. The students seemed to show seriousness and activeness in preparing various activities to be presented on stage. It is hoped that in the future all parties can provide a platform for these students to show their activeness.

Abstract

This study explores the current condition of children's literacy in Indonesia focusing on several critical issues including the impact of inequality in literacy access, the factors influencing the quality of teaching languages, exploring the development of local literacy cultures and reading preferences in order to create a more inclusive literacy program, and the evaluation of current literacy policies. A policy analysis and document/library analysis method with qualitative research approach were used to gather data from documentation studies of literacy policies, reports on implementation and current literatures related to children's literacy in Indonesia. The data analysis technique of this research applied thematic analysis to review, identify, and analyze the data. The results showed that Indonesia still experiences a protracted learning crisis, particularly in relation to children's literacy. Factors like low literacy activities, Covid-19 pandemic and the results of national assessments indicate a serious challenge regarding the performance of children's literacy. Limited children's reading interest and availability of suitable book collections also pose a challenge to overcome. The study proposes several steps to improve children's literacy in Indonesia, including increasing accessibility and variety of book collections, enhancing collaboration between relevant authorities, harmonising with the global literacy standards, widening access to books, particularly in rural communities, involving the local community and establishing corporate partnerships with private sectors. The study hopefully provides a meaningful contribution to developing solutions to Indonesia's children's literacy challenges and strategies to improve children's literacy.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat kali ini dilakukan dengan latar belakang belum adanya pengajar atau guru di lingkup kabupaten batang yang fokus pada persiapan olimpiade sains nasional di tingkat provinsi, terutama dalam bidang ilmu pengetahuan sosial. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pengabdian ini ditujukan sebagai upaya partisipasi tim pengabdi untuk mendampingi persiapan peserta didik agar memiliki kesiapan yang cukup untuk mengikuti kompetisi olimpiade sains. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode service learning dengan cara pembahasan soal, serta diskusi dan tanya jawab. Dari hasil pengabdian didapatkan gambaran bahwasanya para peserta didik yang mengikuti kegiatan memiliki peningkatan kemampuan dalam menjawab soal-soal yang diberikan yang dibuktikan dalam evaluasi reflektif yang diberikan di akhir sesi. Kegiatan PkM ini memiliki relevansi penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan akademik peserta didik.

Abstract

The use of video games in Islamic religious education is currently still not widely practiced. This is due to the idea that video games cannot be used as learning media because of their tertiary nature. This article then aims to present theoretical and practical studies on how to use and utilize video games as a medium in learning PAI. This article was compiled using a qualitative approach supported by data collection methods in the form of literature studies. From the results of the study, it was found that theoretically video games can be used in PAI learning seen from their role as a medium for transferring information and values, which can then be realized practically in several ways, including building the entire video game system, interpreting values in video games, and collaboration with various other media.

Abstract

Education plays a vital role in human life, serving as a means to achieve a high quality of life. Within the realm of formal education, higher education holds particular significance in enhancing the human resources of a nation and contributing to their continual improvement. The objective of this service initiative is to provide comprehensive information on the official college selection process and deliver training through entrance examination questionnaires, enabling participants to better equip themselves for the official college entrance examinations. This community service endeavor primarily utilizes socialization and facilitates access to official school information, achieved through collaboration with external service partners. Specifically, the "Neutron" tutoring institution in Pekalongan acts as a dedicated partner, actively engaging in discussions concerning official school entrance examination questions. The activity drew participation from 114 students representing various schools in Pekalongan. The outcomes of the community service activities showcased a high level of enthusiasm among the participants, evident in their positive response and active engagement throughout the program. This positive response was demonstrated by the participants' enthusiastic completion of practice questions, thereby reinforcing their preparation for the official college entrance examinations. Information dissemination and provision of practice questions aim to empower participants to adequately prepare for their future academic pursuits.

Abstract

Humans in their civilization gain insight into human failures and successes through history. In this way, history provides valuable lessons that humans can apply today. Understanding history then allows humans to understand the roots of problems, conflicts and social dynamics that exist in society today. This article aims to review the urgency and position of history in human life. This article was written using a qualitative approach using the literature study method. From the results of the study, it implies that history is not just a legacy. Through history it is hoped that humans can learn and realize that everything is not instantaneous, everything goes through a process so that the future will be better. History has an important meaning for human civilization. This can be seen from the role of history as a basic reference in dealing with life today and predicting life in the future.

Abstract

The existence of God is also fundamental in human life because acceptance or rejection of God's entity will also have fundamental consequences. In this way, a concept of circumstances is built that seeks to improve human relations with God. This concept became known as religion. In its development, religion is part of the journey of human life as an entity that believes in God as the highest point in its life. In its development, religion emerged in an evolutionary way along with humans' ability to understand the natural surroundings which are part of their lives. This article then aims to provide an overview of the concept of authentic God that exists in Islamic beliefs. This article was prepared using a descriptive qualitative method supported by data collection methods in the form of literature studies. The concept of God in Islam negates various concepts of God in other religious and cultural traditions and civilizations which tend to be problematic and speculative. Muslims throughout the world then agreed to call the name of their God as Allah, which in the process became known to Muslims through a dogmatic-spiritual and academic-rational approach.

Abstract

In history, quantitative development data can be used as important data in building a historiography. This article aims to reconstruct the history of general education development by utilizing quantitative data in Pekalongan City during the Pelita V era (1989-1994). Pekalongan City itself is an important city that was once the capital of the Pekalongan Residency which was projected as a trading city where the educational aspect was important to build. This article was written using the historical method with stages of heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The main data source is statistical data obtained from Pekalongan report data in figures issued by BPS, as well as government policy archives stored at the City Government Archives Office. The data obtained was then analyzed using a development history approach from a development politics perspective. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the condition of general education at the primary and secondary levels in Pekalongan City in Pelita V, seen from the aspect of the number of schools, teachers and students, generally experienced fluctuations/dynamics. In this case, the development of general education at the primary level at PELITA V in Pekalongan City is going well, even though there is inequality. At the secondary level, both junior and senior educational development tends to be stagnant

Abstract

Video game sering dipandang sebagai suatu bagian dari kegiatan tersier dalam kehidupanmanusia. Sebagai kegiatan tersier, video game kemudian dianggap tidak memiliki fungsi dalammelakukan kegiatan yang bermakna dalam masyarakat, termasuk salah satunya fungsi kritiksosial. Artikel ini kemudian bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bahwa video game secara konseptualserta praktis dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu medium kritik sosial. Artikel ini ditulis denganpendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yang didukung oleh proses pengumpulan data melalui studiliteratur. Dari hasil telaah didapatkan gambaran bahwa video game mampu memproduksi danmereproduksi budaya dan ideologi dalam pikiran masyarakat melalui unsur partisipatifsehingga dapat diciptakan dan dijadikan sebagai alat kritik sosial terhadap suatu kebijakan.Secara konseptual, video game menjadi agen budaya yang mempunyai kekuatan tersendiridalam hal menghasilkan makna darinya yang terbuka. Secara praktis, bentuk dan fungsi videogame sebagai alat kritik sosial berujung pada hadirnya video game sebagai alternatif cara dalammenyampaikan kritik secara kreatif.Kata kunci: budaya populer; medium kritik; video game

Abstract

Berwirausaha/edupreneurship merupakan hal yang perlu untuk dilatih sedari dini. Selain itu, mental wirausaha juga perlu untuk terus dikembangkan terutama dengan dibarengi dengan upaya-upaya kreatif. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran bagaimana kreativitas berwirausaha Islami di kalangan siswa dapat dibentuk melalui penerapan program edupreneurship di SMP Islam Pekalongan serta apa saja yang menjadi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Artikel ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan didukung teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari hasil telaah diketahui bahwa program edupreneurship diterapkan melalui pembelajaran business center yaitu mengajarkan kegiatan praktik bisnis yang dilakukan siswa secara langsung. Langkah-langkah pembentukan kreativitas berwirausaha siswa melalui program edupreneurship dilakukan melalui 4 pendekatan, yaitu pribadi kreatif (person), pendorong (press) , proses (process) dan produk (product). Dilihat dari tahapan atau pendekatan yang dilaksanakan pada pembelajaran program edupreneurship menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan program edupreneurship para siswa mempunyai ciri-ciri kreativitas berwirausaha Islami yang diteladani dari Rasulullah saw, yaitu siswa berkreativitas dengan jujur, siswa berkreativitas secara adil, berkreativitas tabligh dapat mengkomunikasikan dengan baik, siswa juga berkreativitas secara fathonah, dan siswa berkreativitas dalam strategi pemasaran. Faktor pendukung pembentukan kreativitas berwirausaha siswa melalui program edupreneurship yaitu minat siswa terhadap program edupreneurship, dukungan guru yang memfasilitasi eksplorasi ide, kerja sama yang baik antara siswa, variasi dalam metode pembelajaran, dan dukungan orang tua siswa. Sedangkan, faktor penghambatnya yaitu keterbatasan waktu dan sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memadai.
