Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety (K3) is a crucial element in ensuring worker welfare and the smooth running of company operations. Even though SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) play an important role in the economy, the work accident rate in this sector is still high compared to large companies. Limited resources and lack of management support are often the main obstacles in implementing an effective K3 management system. Objective: This literature study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the K3 management system in SMEs, identify the challenges faced, and provide recommendations for improving the implementation of K3 in this sector. Methodology: This study uses a literature study approach by collecting and analyzing various academic sources including journal articles, government reports and relevant books. The literature search focused on academic databases such as Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and ProQuest, using keywords such as "OHS management system", "SME", "OHS effectiveness", and "work safety". Results: Findings show that implementing a comprehensive K3 management system in SMEs can reduce work accidents by up to 25% and increase awareness of the importance of K3. However, challenges such as limited resources, lack of management support, and loose regulations remain major obstacles. This study also found that SMEs that implement good K3 practices tend to have better financial performance. To improve K3 implementation in SMEs, increased access to K3 training and resources, ongoing education campaigns, development of a simple and effective K3 management system, as well as government support in the form of incentives and stricter regulations are needed. Conclusion: Although there are many challenges in implementing the K3 management system in SMEs, with the right approach and adequate support, SMEs can achieve a better level of work safety. This will not only improve worker welfare but also productivity and business sustainability. Abstract

Hypertension is one of the diseases that perimenopausal mothers are susceptible to. Based on data at the Rajabasa Indah Community Health Center in 2022, the number of elderly hypertensive sufferers undergoing examination was 1050 people, this number has increased compared to 2021, which was 989 people and 2020, which was 793 people. The cause of high levels of hypertension is the lack of public attention to the importance of regular health checks. One effort to reduce hypertension is to give beet juice mixed with lime which contains nitrates and potassium which can reduce hypertension. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of beetroot juice mixed with lime on reducing hypertension in perimenopausal mothers at the elderly posyandu in Rajabasa Village, Bandar Lampung in 2024. Quantitative research type, one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was all perimenopausal mothers who experienced hypertension who were registered at the Posyandu for the Elderly, Rajabasa Village, Bandar Lampung, totaling 50 respondents. The sample for this research was 33 respondents. 250ml/day of beetroot juice mixed with lime was given for 7 consecutive days. Data collection used observation sheets, univariate and bivariate data analysis (paired sample t-test).Based on the research results, it is known that the average systolic blood pressure of perimenopausal mothers before being given beet juice mixed with lime was 158.15mmHg with a standard deviation value of 9.111mmHg, a minimum value of 145mmHg and a maximum value of 178mmHg, while the average systolic blood pressure of perimenopausal mothers after being given beetroot juice mixed with lime is 125.91mmHg with a standard deviation value of 8.064mmHg, a minimum value of 110mmHg and a maximum value of 141mmHg with a p-value of 0.000. And it is known that the average diastolic blood pressure of perimenopausal mothers before being given beetroot juice mixed with lime was 99.21mmHg with a standard deviation value of 4.477mmHg, a minimum value of 87mmHg and a maximum value of 105mmHg, while the average diastolic blood pressure after being given mixed beetroot juice lime is 83.03mmHg with a standard deviation value of 5.725mmHg, a minimum value of 74mmHg and a maximum value of 94mmHg with a p-value of 0.000. There is an effect of giving beetroot juice mixed with lime on reducing hypertension in perimenopausal mothers at the elderly posyandu, Rajabasa Village, Bandar Lampung in 2024

Abstract

Construction workers are often exposed to high risks of injury and illness due to potentially dangerous work environments. Therefore, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is very important to protect them from various threats on construction sites. Literature research conducted in recent years has provided consistent evidence regarding the benefits and importance of using PPE in the construction industry. Various types of PPE, such as safety helmets, safety shoes, protective eyewear, respirators, and gloves, have been shown to be effective in reducing the risk of physical injury and exposure to hazardous materials. Literature studies also show that implementing strict policies related to the use of PPE can reduce the rate of work accidents and work-related illnesses. In addition, proper training and awareness of the importance of occupational safety have been proven to increase worker compliance with the use of PPE. Factors such as adequate availability of PPE, strict standards, a strong safety culture, supervision, and ongoing education are key elements in ensuring effective use of PPE and improving occupational safety in construction workplaces. Therefore, continued emphasis on the correct and consistent use of PPE is a must in efforts to maintain the safety and health of construction workers throughout the world.

Abstract

Work accidents in coconut tree harvesting are a serious problem that affects occupational safety and health in Bahorok District, Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research was conducted through interviews and direct observation of five coconut tree growers in coconut plantations owned by local residents. The research results show that a lack of knowledge about work risks, inadequate attitudes towards work safety, and the habit of not using personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly are the main factors causing work accidents. Renderers often ignore the slippery and fragile condition of trees and existing safety procedures, prioritizing work speed over safety. Education regarding work risks, changing attitudes towards the importance of work safety, as well as enforcing rules and using appropriate PPE are very necessary. The implementation of these steps is expected to reduce the accident rate and create a safer and healthier work environment for coconut tree harvesters in Bahorok District.

Abstract

Penyakit yang ditimbulkan oleh makanan terkontaminasi salah satunya adalah diare, dengan angka kejadian diare sebanyak 332 kasus di wilayah Pontianak Utara tahun 2020. Salah satu penyebab terjadinya diare yaitu pengaruh makanan yang tidak baik, kebersihan peralatan dan penyimpanan peralatan makan. Tujuan umum dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis hubungan cara pencucian peralatan makan dan penyimpanan peralatan makan dengan angka kuman pada kantin sekolah dasar negeri di Pontianak Utara. Metode penelitian ini yaitu metode observasional menggunakan form ceklis sebagai alat bahan mengumpulkan data primer, pemeriksaan angka kuman dilakukan dengan usap alat makan pada sendok dengan 5 buah sendok pada 30 kantin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, teknik pencucian sebanyak 90% kantin telah memenuhi persyaratan, penyimpanan peralatan makan sebanyak 80% kantin memenuhi persyaratan dan hasil penelitian dengan angka kuman pada peralatan makan sebanyak 93% kantin belum memenuhi persyaratan. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah tidak ada hubungan antara teknik pencucian peralatan makan dengan angka kuman di kantin SDN Pontianak Utara dengan p value = 0,626. Tidak ada hubungan antara penyimpanan peralatan makan dengan angka kuman di kantin SDN Pontianak Utara dengan p value = 0,464.

Abstract

Sampah sisa sayuran apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik akan menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi lingkungan maupun bagi kesehatan manusia. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu ingin melihat perbedaan kecepatan pematangan kompos kombinasi MOL ampas tebu dan MOL bonggol pisang nipah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan kombinasi mol ampas tebu dan mol bonggol pisang nipah. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu 40 sampel dengan 5 kali pengulangan. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis Uji One Way Anova. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu kecepatan pematangan kompos sampah sayur selama 21 hari dengan komposisi bahan sebanyak 15 kg. Adanya perbedaan di setiap variasi dosis terhadap kecepatan pematangan kompos dimana di setiap persentase memiliki kenaikan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu kecepatan pematangan kompos sampah sayur menggunakan kombinasi MOL Ampas Tebu dan MOL Bonggol Pisang Nipah adalah pada dosis 50 ml selama 13 hari dan paling lama pada dosis 10ml selama 17,6 hari. Untuk proses pencacahan kompos harus lebih kecil sehingga kompos dapat mengurai lebih cepat.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal: 1) PAI teachers' strategies in managing classes for class VIII students at SMPN 05 Semparuk for the 2023-2024 academic year; 2) PAI teacher strategies produce effective learning for class VIII students at SMPN 05 Semparuk for the 2023-2024 academic year; and 3) Supporting and inhibiting factors for PAI teachers in managing classes for class VIII students at SMPN 05 Semparuk in the 2023-2024 academic year. This research uses a descriptive approach and qualitative research type. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data display, data verification and drawing conclusions. The data checking and validity techniques used are triangulation and member checking. Based on the data analysis carried out, the research results show that; (1) The PAI teacher's strategy in managing classes for class VIII students at SMPN 05 Semparuk for the 2023-2024 academic year consists of several steps, namely planning, organizing, acting, and evaluating.( 2) PAI teacher strategies produce effective learning for class VIII students at SMPN 05 Semparuk for the 2023-2024 academic year. consists of several steps, namely: using experiential learning strategies where inviting students to learn while playing with the aim of making children not get bored during learning, and using direct learning strategies, apart from delivering material using the lecture method, teachers also often use media in the learning process. (3) There are two supporting and inhibiting factors for PAI teachers in managing classes for class VIII students at SMPN 05 Semparuk for the 2023-2024 academic year, namely: First, factors that support PAI teachers in managing classes are facilities such as wifi, infocus, classrooms, and books, and the second factor that supports managing the classroom from school factors is strong support from school management, including the principal and fellow teachers. Factors that hinder PAI teachers in managing the class are that there are several students who chat and often come in and out of the class, and limited teaching time.

Abstract

This research began with the discovery of the phenomenon of low student learning motivation, especially in mathematics subjects, students experiencing difficulties in mathematics lessons.The aim of this research is to describe and analyze teacher planning, implementation and evaluation in increasing student learning motivation in mathematics subjects at MIS At-Taqwa Sambas for the 2023-2024 academic year.This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type of research. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity checking techniques use source triangulation, technical triangulation, and member checks.The results of this research show that: (1) Planning the teacher's role in overcoming low student learning motivation is by understanding the classroom situation which is done by observing student interactions then preparing teaching methods and learning strategies that are appropriate to the learning material and then preparing the materials. teaching that will be delivered. (2) The teacher's implementation in increasing students' low learning motivation by conveying interesting learning objectives, then at the core stage the teacher involves students who play an active role in the learning process and at the final or closing stage the teacher always evaluates learning by repeating the learning material that has been explained previously, and (3 evaluations of teachers carrying out their role in overcoming low student learning motivation are checking students' achievements by giving practice assignments to students then, giving questions and quizzes to students which then becomes feedback for improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Currently, the development of communication networks has influenced how humans communicate and exchange information. Data communications technology reflects the rapid evolution in the way humans communicate and exchange information. Data communication is the process of exchanging information between two or more devices via a transmission medium, such as cables, radio waves, or other network infrastructure. The goal of data communications is to transfer data from one location to another quickly, efficiently, and accurately. The method used is to look for references from several internet sources such as Google.
