Abstract

This study aims to uncover teachers' views on the impact of certification on the quality of teaching and their welfare. Teacher certification is a government program that aims to improve the quality of education through professional recognition of teachers who have met certain competency standards. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method through a literature review of various journals and relevantiliteratureisources. Theiresultsiof theianalysis show that a number of teachers experienced an increase in pedagogical competence, self-confidence, and teaching enthusiasm after obtaining certification. However, some others felt that the impact of certification had not been felt too much, especially due to the increasing administrative burden and the lack of further training. On the other hand, certification also provides benefits to teacher welfare through the provision of professional allowances, although there is still inequality in its distribution. This study highlights the importance of continuous evaluation of certification policies, accompanied by reducing administrative burdens and strengthening post-certification training to support teacher professionalism and welfare as a whole.

Abstract

Introduction: Interprofessional education (IPE) is essential for equipping healthcare students with the competencies required for effective collaborative and patient-centered care. Traditional IPE methods, however, often lack interactivity and fail to simulate authentic clinical dynamics. Objective: This study aimed to design and evaluate the My Medicine E-Matching Card, a gamified digital platform intended to enhance IPE through interactive, case-based learning and foster collaboration among students of multiple health professions. Methods: A qualitative case study approach was employed involving 20 IPE lecturers from nursing, medicine, pharmacy, and dentistry programs at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Data were collected through focus group discussions (FGDs) and analyzed using thematic analysis to guide the development of the application's features. Results: The analysis identified three core themes: the need for clear role delineation, interactive clinical case simulations, and mechanisms for real-time interdisciplinary collaboration. These themes were integrated into the app design. Lecturers noted improved student engagement, enhanced collaborative decision-making, and reduced hierarchical barriers. Key features of the application included customizable clinical scenarios, asynchronous learning access, and structured feedback tools. Conclusion: The My Medicine E-Matching Card demonstrates promise in advancing interprofessional learning by integrating gamification into IPE. By simulating real-life clinical encounters in a digital environment, the platform cultivates teamwork, communication, and clinical reasoning skills. Further longitudinal studies are warranted to assess its educational impact and scalability across institutions.

Abstract

The limited educational background of farmers, low coffee productivity, weak institutional capacity, and inadequate adoption of appropriate technology (AT) are key challenges facing coffee farmer-entrepreneurs in Panduman Village. This community engagement program aimed to strengthen institutional functions and promote the adoption of postharvest AT through a collaborative approach based on the Penta Helix model. The methods included establishing learning centers, conducting technical training, mentoring, on-field demonstrations, and facilitating legal institutional formation and business partnerships. The results demonstrated significant improvements in farmer capacity and institutional function, including the establishment of the Nature School and Farmer Training Center (P4S), improved knowledge and skills, and a shift from traditional to GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)-based cultivation and processing. Legalization of farmer groups and formation of inclusive business partnerships in the coffee value chain were achieved, particularly through collaboration with Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). The adoption of AT enhanced the quality and efficiency of postharvest processing. The Penta Helix approach proved effective in transforming rural coffee agribusiness ecosystems towards resilience and sustainability.

Abstract

The State Defense System is directed towards fulfilling the basic minimum needs, or Minimum Essential Force (MEF). MEF is one of the targets of the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) in the field of defense, divided into three stages. In the Master Plan for Defense Industry Development, the target of MEF phase III is to support the ideal posture, creating growth in the defense industry by 2029, and achieving Defense Industry Independence. This study aims to evaluate the MEF policy in realizing Defense Industry Independence so that it can become a pillar of sustainable defense economics. The research method used is qualitative with a literature study approach. This study uses the Evaluation Theory with the CIPP Model, where the research results show that: In the context evaluation, the MEF Policy emerges as a solution to realize the state's defense system towards the ideal posture to create Defense Industry Independence. In the input evaluation, it can be seen in the MEF Alignment process. In the process evaluation, it can be seen how MEF serves as a framework in realizing an independent defense industry so that it can become a pillar of sustainable defense economics through the Import Substitution Industrialization Policy and realizing downstream processes in the Defense Industry. Meanwhile, in the product evaluation, factors that hinder the realization of Defense Industry Independence were found. These factors include insufficient budget for domestic Defense Industry R&D compared to the budget for importing defense equipment from abroad, the lack of quality human resources, and funding limitations. To overcome these problems, a review of the performance of KKIP, as a state institution directly involved in overseeing the development of domestic defense equipment until 2029, is necessary.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Current Ratio (CR), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on Total Asset Turnover (TATO) in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2022–2024 period. The background of this research is the phenomenon of asset utilization inefficiency, as indicated by stagnant or declining TATO values despite increasing asset levels. This research employs an associative quantitative approach using secondary data from annual financial reports of manufacturing companies. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results show that ROA and DER have a positive and significant effect on TATO, while CR does not have a significant effect. These findings indicate that companies capable of generating profits from their assets and having an efficient debt-based capital structure tend to achieve higher asset utilization efficiency. Conversely, excessive liquidity does not always contribute positively to asset efficiency.

Abstract

This study examines the parental caregiving pattern of overservice and its impact on early childhood development. Overservice, often characterized by parents excessively fulfilling all of their child’s needs, can influence the emotional, social, and cognitive development of the child. The research methodology used is a literature review, aiming to identify and analyze existing studies on this caregiving pattern and its effects on child development. This study also reviews developmental psychology theories, including Erikson's and Vygotsky's theories, and Baumrind’s typology of parenting styles (authoritarian, permissive, and authoritative) to explore how an overindulgent caregiving approach can affect a child's ability to develop independence, self-regulation, and social skills. Factors analyzed include parental personality, involvement in caregiving, and family dynamics. The findings suggest that an overservice caregiving style may lead to difficulties in a child’s ability to handle challenges, develop a sense of responsibility, and increase the likelihood of dependency and social skill deficits. The study concludes that a balanced approach to parenting, which allows space for children to learn independence and face challenges, better supports healthy emotional and social development in early childhood.
