Abstract

AbstractThis study investigates the potential of minimalist lifestyle trends, emerging as a counter-narrative on these platforms, to influence the consumerist behavior of this demographic from an Islamic economic perspective. Rapid technological advancements have significantly impacted lifestyles, notably fostering consumerism among Indonesian Generation Z, often fueled by social media platforms like TikTok. Employing a qualitative descriptive analytical approach, this research examines the extent to which the application of minimalist principles can impact consumerism among Indonesian Gen Z. The findings indicate that while a minimalist lifestyle holds considerable potential to curb consumerism, its full implementation is hindered by deeply ingrained consumerist habits driven by social media trends. This study concludes that understanding and applying minimalist principles, informed by Islamic economic teachings emphasizing moderation and the avoidance of extravagance, can offer a viable alternative to the prevailing consumer culture among Indonesian Generation Z. The implications of this research lie in providing insights for educators, policymakers, and Islamic institutions seeking to promote balanced consumption patterns among youth in Indonesia

Abstract

The implementation of learning at SMP Hangtuah Makassar during the COVID pandemic required adjustment to the teaching and learning process. Teachers had to innovate and adapt to meet learning needs and achieve objectives despite challenging conditions. To overcome this, teachers as facilitators must develop up-to-date learning materials to improve quality, increase acceptance, and boost desire to learn in and outside classrooms. Teachers need to develop technology-based teaching materials that can be utilized anywhere, anytime as alternatives to traditional materials. Given these conditions, further examination is necessary regarding the needs analysis for developing integrated science teaching materials assisted by augmented reality technology at Hangtuah Junior High School Makassar. Analysis of student needs in integrated science learning for 7th grade identified that science subject materials and application were sufficiently integrated. Abstract

Stunting caused by malnutrition from the prenatal period to the age of two can cause various short-term and long-term health problems. One solution to prevent malnutrition is providing additional food (PMT) from local ingredients. Therefore, this study utilized sorghum and cowpeas, which are high in carbohydrates and protein and are expected to prevent malnutrition in pregnant women and toddlers. Additionally, they maximize local food ingredients such as cereal drink powder. This study aimed to determine the effect of the combination of sorghum and cowpeas on the physical and organoleptic characteristics of cereal drink powder. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with the addition of sorghum and cowpea at concentrations of 15%: 15%, 20%: 10%, and 25%: 5%, with two repetitions, each in duplicate. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA at a 5% significance level, and if significant differences were found, DMRT was used for further analysis. The results showed that the concentration of sorghum and cowpeas had a significant effect (p<0.05) on viscosity, rehydration time, color, and organoleptic attributes (taste, thickness, and overall). However, the concentration did not have a significant effect (p>0.05) on hygroscopicity rate, hygroscopicity level, solubility, and organoleptic attributes (color and aroma).

Abstract

Early marriage in Indonesia, especially in rural areas, is a serious issue that negatively affects the health and education of the younger generation. The government's free education program aims to create a golden generation, but the high rate of early marriage hinders the achievement of this goal. This study identifies factors that influence early marriage, such as knowledge, education level and family economic conditions. Through socialization activities at Darul Hamidin Junior High School in Padamara, East Lombok, the author sought to increase students' understanding of the dangers of early marriage. Lecture and discussion methods were used to deliver material related to the negative impact of early marriage, with the aim of raising awareness and motivating adolescents to stay away from the practice. The results of the socialization showed an increase in students' understanding after the activity. This research emphasizes the need for collaborative efforts from various elements of society to reduce the number of early marriages and support a more qualified generation to achieve national education goals.
