Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan keterampilan kolaborasi siswa mengenai pembelajaran Biologi berorientasi STEM kelas XII MIPA di SMAN 6 Takalar, (2) mendeskripsikan persepsi siswa mengenai pembelajaran Biologi berorientasi STEM kelas XII MIPA di SMAN 6 Takalar (3) menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran Biologi berorientasi STEM terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi siswa kelas XII di SMAN 6 Takalar, (4) menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran Biologi berorientasi STEM terhadap persepsi siswa kelas XII MIPA di SMAN 6 Takalar. Desain penelitian ini berupa Non-equivalent Control Group Design dengan populasi terdiri dari siswa kelas XII MIPA 1 dan XII MIPA 2 semester 2 SMAN 6 Takalar Tahun Ajaran 2022-2023 pada materi Bioteknologi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) keterampilan kolaborasi  siswa dengan skor rata-rata 113,61 berada pada kategori sedang, (2) persepsi siswa ada 125,27 berada di kategori sedang, (3) uji Independent Sample t-Test dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan pembelajaran Biologi berorientasi STEM terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000<0,05 dan (4) uji Independent Sample t-Test dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan pembelajaran Biologi berorientasi STEM terhadap persepsi siswa dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000<0,05 menunjukkan adanya pengaruh pembelajaran Biologi berorientasi STEM terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi dan persepsi siswa. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka pembelajaran Biologi berorientasi STEM dapat digunakan dalam rangka meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi dan memberikan persepsi positif pada siswa.

Abstract

This article presents a conceptual study (literature review) of several research results focused on developing modern physics learning tools. The research subject comprises ten articles from national and international journal databases within the last ten years (2014-2024). The results of the conceptual study show that several studies have developed teaching materials for Modern Physics lectures, but they still have limitations. These limitations are that the scope of the modern physics material developed has yet to be efficient for students to use online; the teaching materials developed in the form of applications are quite heavy when opened using a smartphone and require quite a large storage space capacity. The use of multimedia in physics learning in Indonesia is quite rapid, easy to present material, efficient to use, and supported by the latest applications to produce teaching materials that can insert text, images, videos, and interactive quizzes. The conclusion obtained from this conceptual study research is that the development of modern physics learning tools has been proven to improve the quality of learning, and there has yet to be any development of modern physics teaching materials based on interactive multimedia. The results of this conceptual study became one of the bases for developing teaching materials for modern physics based on interactive flipbooks.Implications of research on curriculum development and modern physics improving students' critical thinking skills. This approach is expected to increase students' interest in studying modern physics.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengembangkan representasi visual dari korelasi antara keterampilan berpikir divergen dan metodologi pembelajaran berbasis proyek serta pembelajaran penemuan, 2) memeriksa potensi perbedaan dalam kemampuan berpikir divergen siswa yang diajarkan melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek dibandingkan dengan mereka yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran penemuan, dan 3) menilai sejauh mana peningkatan keterampilan berpikir divergen di antara siswa yang dididik melalui pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Kemampuan berpikir divergen, yang mencakup kefasihan, fleksibilitas, orisinalitas, dan elaborasi, merupakan elemen penting dari kompetensi yang diperlukan di abad ke-21. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental yang melibatkan dua kelas yang berbeda: satu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan satu kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model pembelajaran penemuan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metodologi pretest dan posttest dengan instrumen esai yang telah divalidasi. Temuan yang diperoleh dari analisis data menggunakan uji-t mengungkapkan hal-hal berikut: 1) Hasil pretest menunjukkan thitung (-0.216) < ttabel (1.669), yang mengarah pada kesimpulan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelas. 2) Hasil posttest mengungkapkan thitung (2.997) > ttabel (1.669), menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen mengalami dampak signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap kemampuan berpikir divergen.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of environmentally-based student worksheets on enhancing observational skills in physics education. Active student participation is crucial for effective learning, and innovative tools such as these worksheets are designed to improve student engagement and skill development. The study specifically aims to: (1) assess the observational skills of grade X students at State Senior High School 2 Mamuju using environmentally-based student worksheets; (2) compare these skills with those of students using conventional student worksheets; and (3) analyze the differences in observational skills between the two groups. A quasi-experimental design was employed, using a posttest-only control group method. The independent variable was the type of student worksheet (environmentally-based vs. conventional), while the dependent variable was students' observational skills. The sample included grade X MIPA students, with 33 students in the experimental group (using environmentally-based worksheets) and 35 students in the control group (using conventional worksheets) selected through purposive sampling. Results demonstrated that students using environmentally-based student worksheets exhibited significantly higher observational skills (mean score: 16.27, high category) compared to those using conventional worksheets (mean score: 12.4, moderate category). Statistical analysis confirmed a significant difference between the groups. These findings suggest that integrating environmentally-based student worksheets is an effective strategy for improving observational skills, fostering better engagement, and enhancing students' understanding of physics concepts, particularly in the context of Newton’s laws of motion. The study emphasizes the importance of context-rich, interactive learning tools for science education.

Abstract

The world of education plays an important role in improving the quality of human resources through quality learning activities, namely through the development of adequate teaching materials to provide clear direction related to the competencies to be achieved. This research is development research that aims to produce integrated physics teaching materials, such as Virtual Laboratory PhET Simulation, that are valid, practical, and able to improve students' critical thinking skills. The development model for integrated physics teaching materials, the Virtual Laboratory PhET Simulation, is a 4D learning model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Based on the results of data analysis, the following conclusions were obtained: 1) integrated physics teaching materials Virtual Laboratory PhET Simulation are declared valid and suitable for use with an expert agreement index value of 0.72 for the aspect of content suitability, 0.67 for the aspect of the presentation, 0.73 for the aspect of language, and 0.68 for the aspect of graphics; 2) integrated physics teaching materials Virtual Laboratory PhET Simulation reviewed from the response of practitioners, namely physics subject teachers, are in the very good category; 3) The effectiveness of the integrated physics teaching material PhET Virtual Laboratory Simulation reviewed from students' critical thinking skills obtained an average N-Gain value of 0.44 and is in the moderate category. Students experience increased critical thinking skills in interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, and explanation. It can be interpreted that the integrated physics teaching materials that the Virtual Laboratory PhET Simulation developed effectively improve students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study is a quasi-experimental research that aims to examine whether there is an influence of Guided Discovery learning model on learning outcomes and students’ self-efficacy with  pretest-posttest control group design. Data on learning outcomes were obtained through pre-test and post-test by giving a written test in the form of multiple choice questions with 30 questions, while self-efficacy data was also obtained through pre-test and post-test from filling out a self-efficacy questionnaire with 30 statements. The data analysis technique employed descriptive statistical analysis, N-Gain, and inferential with t test (independent sample test). The results of descriptive analysis show that (1) the learning outcomes of experimental class students are in moderate category. (2) for self-efficacy of experimental class students in moderate category. (3) the learning outcomes in the control class is in low category. (4) the students’ self-efficacy in the control class is in low category (5) the results of inferential statistical analysis show that there is a significant influence of implementing Guided Discovery learning model on the improvement of learning outcomes and self-efficacy of grade VIII students at SMPN Gollek No. 34 Selayar Islands.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi-eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil belajar bioteknologi melalui model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan model Discovery Learning pada siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 7 Majene, serta keterampilan kolaborasi siswa melalui kedua model pembelajaran tersebut. Penelitian melibatkan 175 siswa sebagai populasi, dengan kelas X-AT (32 siswa) sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-TJKT (30 siswa) sebagai kelas kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui post-tes hasil belajar bioteknologi, angket keterampilan kolaborasi, dan angket keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis kovariat (ANCOVA). Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar bioteknologi siswa dalam kategori baik, sedangkan keterampilan kolaborasi dalam kategori sangat baik pada kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Namun hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan bahwa hanya hasil belajar yang mengalami peningkatan signifikan (sig. 0,027), sedangkan keterampilan kolaborasi tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan (sig. 0,860). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa skor keterampilan kolaborasi yang kemungkinan besar besarnya bukan akibat dari intervensi model pembelajaran berbasis proyek, melainkan faktor lain. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar bioteknologi, tetapi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan kolaborasi siswa .

Abstract

learning media and describe the quality of the media based on aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This study employed the type of R&D (Research and Development) research with the ADDIE development model which consisted of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The respondents of the product trial were students of grade VIII at SMPN 42 Selayar Islands 7 students. The results of the study indicate that the assessment by material and media experts obtain an average score of 4.4 with valid criteria, so the media developed is declared valid. The results of the questionnaire data analysis of students’ responses to the media obtain an average score of 93.5 with very strong criteria and the teacher's response to the media obtain an average score of 86.6 with very strong criteria. The results of the observation on the implementation of learning reveal that the classification is very good with the percentage reaching 92.85%, so the media is declared as practical. The percentage of classical completeness of the learning outcomes test achieves 85.7%, so the media is declared as effective. Based on the results of the aforementioned data analysis, it can be concluded that the science-biology learning media based on visual basic on the Motion System material in Humans can be applied in learning activities.

Abstract

Penelusuran air tawar bagi warga masyarakat Desa Pajukukang adalah suatu keniscayaan. Selama ini warga masyarakat hanya mengandalkan penampungan air hujan dan air yang dibeli di dusun sebelah sebagai sumber air tawar untuk keperluan MCK. Untuk itu, dipandang perlu dilakukan pencarian sumber air tawar baik berupa medium pembawa air di bawah permukaan maupun kantung-kantung air tawar yang biasanya terdapat di kawasan pantai. Untuk itu, Tim Pelaksana Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat melakukan pengukuran geolistrik dengan panjang bentangan sekitar 80 m  dengan beberapa titik pengukuran yang berusaha dilakukan tetapi karena topografi yang sangat terbatas, dan penelusuran kantung-kantung air dengan menggunakan GPS. Hasil interpretasi pengukuran menunjukkan, bahwa hampir 99% wilayahnya dikelilingi oleh air asin. Aliran air sungai yang merupakan jalur transportasi warga ke laut juga merupakan air payau. Secara umum penyusun dari permukaan bawah tanah pada lokasi terdiri dari pasir air laut, kerikil terendam air laut, lempung dan skis grafit Oleh karena itu, maka pencarían dilakukan dengan manual oleh mahasiswa Fisika Bumi yang ikut dalam kegiatan ini dengan mencari kantung-kantung air yang diperkirakan ada di sekitar pantai Panaikang dengan GPS (Ground Penetrating System) dalam menentukan koordinat kantong-kantong air tawar yang diperoleh, sehingga posisi menjadi akurat.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the profile of shear wave velocity (Vs30) and to analyze the classification of soil types of the Rammang-Rammang Maros Karst Area based on Vs30 value. This research was carried out at Rammang-Rammang Maros Karst Area, Salenrang and Bontolempangan Village, Bontoa District, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi. The method used in this research was the Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) method to produce the HVSR curve and then analysed in the inversion method using Dinver to produce a ground profile. The Vs30 values were obtained in the range from 249 to 1384 m/s. The characteristics of the rock response could indicate the specifications of a rock type. Based on the Vs30 values, it was found that the classification of rock (SB) located around the karst hilly areas, soft rock (SC) located around the residential areas and the river, and stiff soil (SD) located near ricefield. The overall seismic risk in the research area is low based on Vs30 values below 200 m/s. These findings provide essential baseline data to support sustainable land use and tourism development planning in the region.
