Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the performance of the K-Means and K-Medoids algorithms in clustering Cookpad application user reviews obtained directly from the Google Play Store. A total of 15,330 reviews were collected as a representation of authentic user opinions. The review text was first processed through a pre-processing stage, then converted into a numeric representation using the TF-IDF method. The clustering process was carried out using the K-Means and K-Medoids algorithms, which were then evaluated using the Silhouette Score metric, both on the original data and after removing outliers with the DBSCAN algorithm. The results showed that K-Medoids performed better with a score of 0.2788 (with outliers) and 0.2966 (without outliers), compared to K-Means which obtained a score of 0.2625 (with outliers) and 0.2795 (without outliers). The clusters formed were dominated by positive reviews with words such as "cook", "help", and "recipe", which describe user satisfaction. This study provides a systematic approach to analyzing Google Play app reviews by directly comparing two clustering algorithms and integrating outlier evaluation to improve the quality of cluster results. The limitation is that the data only comes from one platform. The results are visualized through an interactive web interface and are expected to be input in developing application features based on user needs.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) is a strategic step by the Indonesian government to improve the quality of human resources through nutritional improvement. However, this policy has triggered polarization of opinion on social media X, ranging from support to criticism regarding distribution and transparency. This study aims to analyze public perception of the MBG program by comparing the performance of the Naïve Bayes and Logistic Regression algorithms. A total of 1,500 tweets were collected through scraping techniques using Tweetharvest. The research stages included text preprocessing and feature extraction using TF-IDF, with a 70:30 split between training and testing data. The evaluation results showed that Logistic Regression had superior performance with an accuracy of 72%, a precision of 72.17%, a recall of 69.32%, and an f1-score of 69.60%. Meanwhile, Naïve Bayes achieved an accuracy of 70.22%, a precision of 80.52%, a recall of 65.36%, and an f1-score of 63.70%. Research findings indicate that Logistic Regression is more dominant in predicting negative and neutral sentiment, while Naïve Bayes tends to dominate predictions of positive sentiment. Overall, Logistic Regression has proven more consistent and effective in mapping the dynamics of public perception of government policies on digital platforms than Naïve Bayes.

Abstract

Abstract

Middle Eastern countries, including Egypt, are among those identified through various surveys as having high levels of discrimination against women's human rights. One of the main contributing factors is the dominant patriarchal system prevailing in Arab nations. However, over time, a transformation in societal attitudes has occurred. This article aims to examine the transformation of Egypt’s stance on human rights, particularly women’s rights, by using the realist novel Imra`ah ‘Inda Nuqṭah Al-Ṣifr, written in 1973 by Egyptian feminist Nawal El Saadawi, as a comparative lens. The novel is considered a realist portrayal of women’s conditions in Egypt at the time. This article is grounded in human rights theories from both Western and Islamic perspectives, as well as feminist theories from prominent feminist figures. Using a qualitative descriptive research method, the study finds that at the time Imra`ah ‘Inda Nuqṭah Al-Ṣifr was written, women in Egypt faced significant discrimination, including political inequality, educational subordination, and limited family rights. However, a shift occurred during Anwar Sadat’s presidency in 1981, when Egypt became one of the Muslim-majority countries that supported international human rights documents, particularly in efforts to eliminate gender-based discrimination. Egypt ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), albeit with reservations on articles related to Islamic Sharia as the foundation of family law in Egypt. Under the current leadership of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Egyptian women have gained broader access to education and other rights. Today, it is not uncommon to see Egyptian women driving, going out unaccompanied by their husbands, and spending evenings at cafés smoking shisha. Women have also gained greater political access, with some occupying key positions, such as the Governor of Alexandria. Nonetheless, certain roles, such as the position of ifta’ (Islamic legal opinion), remain largely male-dominated.

Abstract

Narcotics crimes have a widespread impact on society and therefore require effective law enforcement under Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. This study aims to analyze the application of criminal sanctions against narcotics offenders and abusers, the legal considerations of the judges in Decision Number 889/Pid.Sus/2022/PN Srg, and the legal position of rehabilitation for victims of narcotics abuse. This research employs a normative juridical method through the analysis of statutory regulations, court decisions, and secondary legal materials. The results indicate that in Decision Number 889/Pid.Sus/2022/PN Srg, the defendant was sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment pursuant to the provisions of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. Law enforcement against perpetrators of illicit narcotics trafficking must be carried out firmly to create a deterrent effect. On the other hand, narcotics abusers who are proven to be victims should be subjected to medical and social rehabilitation in accordance with Article 127 paragraph (3), based on assessment results and expert testimony. Therefore, a balance is required between strict law enforcement against narcotics traffickers and a rehabilitative approach for victims of narcotics abuse in order to establish a fair, humane, and effective criminal justice system.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to enhance the capabilities of youths at MA Hayfa Islamic Boarding School, Samarinda City, in delivering religious lectures that are systematic, communicative, and persuasive, while aligning with Islamic values and the context of Indonesia's diversity. The initiative was motivated by the observed lack of self-confidence, public speaking skills, lecture material preparation abilities, and proficiency in using digital technology for *dakwah* (religious outreach) among the youth. The implementation methods included observation and coordination, outreach, material presentation, interactive discussions, practical lecture sessions, digital technology application, mentoring, and evaluation. Participants received training on effective communication techniques, lecture material structuring, the use of communicative language, the integration of Quranic and Hadith references, and the utilization of smartphones, simple editing apps, and social media to support digital *dakwah*. The results indicate that the program was executed systematically and garnered active participation from both the school and the students. Over 80% of the participants were able to deliver lectures independently with a sound structure, communicative language, and appropriate integration of Quranic and Hadith references. The activity also boosted the youths' self-confidence, public communication skills, and readiness to become preachers who are adaptable to technological advancements. This program is expected to foster a new generation of preachers who are moderate, communicative, and tolerant, and capable of contributing to the religious and social life of the community.

Abstract

Child marriage in Yahukimo Regency, particularly among the Kimyal indigenous community, has historically been embedded in customary relations and collective strategies for maintaining social cohesion. This study examines how religious education contributes to the transformation of child marriage practices among the Kimyal indigenous community in Yahukimo Regency. The study employed a qualitative case study design. Data were collected in 2025 through in-depth interviews and observation involving three informants: a Kimyal traditional leader, a religious leader representing the Evangelical Church in Indonesia (GIDI), and an elementary school teacher. The data were analyzed thematically to identify changes in the meanings, social functions, and contemporary contexts of child marriage. The findings indicate that child marriage was historically understood not simply as an individual decision but also as a customary mechanism for strengthening relations between groups and resolving inter-tribal conflict. Traditional leaders and dowry practices played important roles in sustaining these arrangements. The introduction of Christian teaching and modernization, however, contributed to a transformation of these customary norms. According to the religious leader interviewed, GIDI has adopted a policy prohibiting marriage for girls below the age of 19 and has promoted education and children's rights. At the same time, contemporary child marriage has not disappeared but has become associated more with dating, premarital pregnancy, and changing social relations than with inter-tribal peace-making. The study concludes that religious education contributes to the transformation of the meaning and legitimacy of child marriage, but this transformation occurs within a wider ecological system involving family, school, religious institutions, customary structures, and broader social change.
