Abstract

Abstract

Urban households often face the dual challenges of limited yard space and increasing dependence on chemical products for plant care and cleaning purposes. Meanwhile, organic kitchen waste is often discarded without being utilized, contributing to environmental problems. This community service program aims to empower local residents, especially women and youth, to optimize the use of narrow home yards through sustainable urban farming practices and to process household organic waste into ecoenzyme. Ecoenzyme, a product of organic waste fermentation, has multiple applications such as liquid fertilizer, natural pesticide, and environmentally friendly cleaning solution. The program includes education, training, and practical workshops on ecoenzyme production and its application in small-scale gardening. By promoting the integration of waste management and sustainable agriculture at the household level, this initiative is expected to reduce chemical usage, minimize waste, and enhance community awareness on environmental sustainability. The outcomes of this activity will include improved skills, productive home gardens, and the adoption of ecoenzyme as a green solution for daily household needs.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of minimarket services on consumer purchasing decisions. This study aims to determine how the influence of service on purchasing decisions on minimarket consumers in Tamalate sub-district, Makassar city. This research uses quantitative research methods. Data collection techniques used were observation and questionnaires. The sample used in this study was 100 respondents from the results using the minimarket consumer slovin formula. The data obtained from the research results were processed using data analysis and using descriptive applications and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that the indicators used in each of these variables indicate where the service is in the good category. For indicators on the purchasing decision variables are in the good category. Based on the results of the T-test analysis through the SPSS.25 program, Tcount is 6206 and Ttable is 1.984, meaning Tcount is greater than Ttable because Tcount > Ttable, then there is a significant influence between services on purchasing decisions. And from the calculation of the determinant coefficient, the R square value is 0.282, which means that the influence of service (X) on purchasing decisions is 28.2 percent, meaning that 28.2 percent of purchasing decisions are influenced by services, while the remaining 71.8 percent is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study explores the relationships among job demands, job resources, burnout, psychological capital, and work engagement in a rice milling factory. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 102 employees and analyzed with structural equation modeling. The findings reveal that job demands significantly increase burnout, while job resources reduce burnout and directly enhance work engagement. Burnout negatively impacts work engagement and mediates the effects of job demands and resources. Psychological capital moderates the relationship between job demands and burnout and between job resources and burnout, emphasizing its role in reducing stress and improving resilience. Additionally, psychological capital has a direct positive effect on work engagement. These results underscore the importance of managing job demands, optimizing resources, and fostering psychological capital to reduce burnout and enhance engagement. Practical recommendations include creating supportive environments, providing resilience training, and implementing effective workload management strategies to enhance employee well-being and productivity

Abstract

This study critically examines the contemporary phenomenon of childfree through the perspective of Islamic legal reasoning, particularly the method of qiyas (analogical deduction). In modern discourse, the decision to remain childfree is often regarded as an individual right and a matter of personal autonomy. However, within the framework of Islamic law, marriage is not solely a personal contract but also a social and religious institution that upholds the objectives of the maqashid shari’ah, one of which is the preservation of lineage (hifzh al-nasl). This research draws an analogy between the childfree lifestyle and classical Islamic practices such as ‘azl (coitus interruptus) and contraception, while analyzing their similarities and differences. Using a normative qualitative approach, the study evaluates the implications of childfree on the fulfillment of spousal rights and the realization of the essential purposes of marriage. The findings indicate that a permanent choice to remain childfree, if made unilaterally and without mutual consent, risks neglecting core marital objectives and disrupting the balance of rights and obligations between spouses. Therefore, adopting a childfree lifestyle within an Islamic framework requires mutual agreement, comprehensive understanding, and careful consideration of its legal, ethical, and social consequences.

Abstract

The School Literacy Movement in Penujak Village, Central Lombok Regency, is discussed in this article. The goal is to increase children's literacy and reading interest in seven Elementary Education Schools (SD) in the Penujak Village Cluster, the target of this socialization is Principal and Teachers, as well as village libraries in the community are all involved in creating a sustainable literacy culture through a participatory approach and collaboration of this activity. This service was carried out with a work shop model socializing the school Literacy Movement with resource persons from lecturers, practitioners and village library managers. The basis for this community service is to see the achievement of literacy and numeracy indicators on the last two years of education report cards which show that several schools have experienced a decrease in achievement. These findings show that the implementation of literacy and numeracy programs needs to increase the involvement of the community and parents as well as village libraries in education while improving students' reading skills. The obstacles that must be overcome include problems such as lack of resources and infrastructure as well as collaboration between stakeholders. To strengthen the literacy and numeracy movement in hamlets, this article suggests that additional assistance with facilities and infrastructure is needed from the government, village libraries, and other non-governmental organizations.
