Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between cognitive style (reflective and impulsive) on students' analytical abilities. Analytical ability is part of learning outcomes. There are seven levels of cognitive learning outcomes which include knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and creative problem-solving. Students' analytical abilities are influenced by many things, one of which is cognitive style. Cognitive style is a way of accepting and managing attitudes towards information, as well as habits related to the world of individual learning. Reflective and impulsive cognitive styles are cognitive styles with indicators of time understanding concepts. Reflective cognitive styles usually take a long time to respond, but consider all available options, and have high concentration while learning. Meanwhile, students with an impulsive cognitive style are the opposite. The approach used in this study is a correlational and multiple regression approach. The variables in this study are reflective cognitive style and impulsive cognitive style as independent variables and analytical skills as the dependent variable with a population of 130 students. The results showed that there was a relationship between students' cognitive style and analytical skills. The greater the cognitive style score, the greater the analytical ability score. Then the cognitive style affects the analytical ability of 19.9%, where the other 80.1% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of the Ergonomic of Reggio Emilia Approach (EoREA) and Mastery Motivation (MM) on Early Childhood Independence (ECI). Thus, the purpose is to determine the main and interaction effects of the treatment variables on ECI. There are three variables in the study, namely: the independent variable (EoREA), the moderator variable (MM), and the dependent variable (ECI). The quasi-experimental study used a 2 x 2 factorial design, and the subjects were students from Play Group. The results showed a difference in the ECI between learning using play environment arrangements according to the EoREA and NEoREA, as indicated by a significant F value (F = 20.441; p < 0.05). There was also a difference in the ECI between students with high and low MM, as indicated by F = 4.580; p < 0.05. It is also known that there was an interaction between the EoREA model and MM on the ECI, as evidenced by F = 9.478, p < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the three hypotheses in this study have been proven, so that the EoREA model assisted by MM can be applied to stimulate ECI.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate an interactive local wisdom based e-book integrated with the Environment Augmented Reality Learning System (EARLS) to support tolerance-oriented learning among elementary school students. EARLS is conceptualized as a pedagogical framework combining contextual cultural narratives, augmented reality based visualizations, reflective tasks, and collaborative learning activities to foster respect for diversity and cooperative behavior. A research and development approach based on the Lee and Owens model was employed, involving 17 fifth-grade students in a public elementary school in Indonesia during the field implementation phase. Tolerance was assessed through structured classroom observations, students’ performance on learning tasks, and pretest–posttest outcomes related to tolerance concepts. The findings indicate that the e-book demonstrates high feasibility and practicality, with moderate effectiveness reflected in improved student engagement and tolerance-related understanding. Beyond product validation, this study contributes theoretically by operationalizing EARLS as a culturally grounded augmented reality framework for character education, providing empirical insight into how local wisdom–based digital media can support tolerance development in primary education. However, results should be interpreted cautiously due to the small sample size and the one-group pretest–posttest design, which may limit generalizability. Future research involving larger samples and comparative designs is recommended to examine the broader applicability of EARLS-based local wisdom digital learning.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has driven the adoption of innovative learning media in elementary education, including Augmented Reality (AR). Although AR has been widely recognized for enhancing learning engagement and conceptual understanding, its integration with local wisdom and character education particularly tolerance remains limited in the Indonesian elementary school context. This study aims to systematically map research trends on the use of AR in elementary education that integrates local wisdom and tolerance values, as well as to identify existing research gaps that may inform future learning media development, especially those grounded in Panji Malang local wisdom. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA protocol. Through four stages of elimination, 32 empirical research articles published between 2016 and 2025 were selected. Data were analyzed using content analysis and bibliometric mapping with VOSviewer to identify publication trends, research methods, and thematic clusters. The findings indicate a growing interest in AR-based learning since 2022, with most studies focusing on technological development and learning effectiveness. However, the explicit integration of tolerance as an affective learning objective remains limited. Bibliometric analysis reveals three dominant clusters: technology-based learning, local wisdom and cultural values, and elementary school learning contexts. Overall, AR demonstrates strong potential as a medium for integrating local wisdom and tolerance values, though challenges related to teacher readiness, infrastructure, and long-term impact evaluation persist.
