Abstract

Education plays a pivotal role in shaping individuals holistically amid globalization, which is marked by advances in information and communication technology, thereby necessitating innovative, interactive learning media aligned with learners’ characteristics. This study aims to explore the potential development of an instructional medium in the form of an artificial intelligence (AI)-based animated video named “KIDANA” to support Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. The research employed a Design and Development (D&D) approach encompassing the stages of design, validation, and trial with Grade IV students at SDN Cimeuhmal. The research instruments consisted of validation questionnaires for media experts and material experts, as well as student response questionnaires. The validation results show that “KIDANA” obtained an average score of 92% from media experts and 90% from material experts, both categorized as “highly feasible.” A limited trial involving 17 students yielded positive responses with a percentage of 90%, reflecting high interest and improved student understanding of Islamic Religious Education content. These findings indicate that AI-based animated video media is not only suitable for use but also effective in creating interactive and engaging learning, while offering a more personal and adaptive learning approach aligned with students’ needs in the digital era. This study contributes to the development of innovative teaching methods and demonstrates the potential of leveraging AI technology to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of educational processes. Abstract

Although the use of digital learning media has received considerable attention in previous studies, research that specifically discusses the development of website-based learning media integrating various interactive features in Islamic Education learning, particularly on the topic of kalimah ṭayyibah in elementary schools, remains limited. This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of the BUDIMAN educational website (Budaya Islami untuk Generasi Beriman) as an interactive learning medium for third-grade elementary school students. This study used a qualitative approach with the Design and Development (D&D) method through the ADDIE model, involving 37 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and then analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the BUDIMAN website was in the very feasible category based on expert validation, with a material expert validation percentage of 100% and a media expert validation percentage of 97.5%. In addition, students showed high enthusiasm and engagement during the learning process. These findings contribute to the development of interactive digital learning media and broaden understanding of technology integration in Islamic Education learning in elementary schools. This study concludes that interactive website-based learning media have an important role in increasing students’ engagement and understanding of kalimah ṭayyibah material, so the use of innovative digital media needs to be optimized to support more effective learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the “MUBINA” Voiced Digital Flipbook as an innovative learning media in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects for grade IV elementary school students. This research was conducted to answer the need for more interactive and interesting learning media to increase students' understanding of Islamic history, especially regarding the role of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in building the City of Medina. The research method used is design and development (D&D) with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving fourth grade students of SDN Ciuyah II, PAI teachers, and material experts. The instruments used include digital applications such as Canva, CapCut, and Heyzine in making and testing interactive flipbooks. The results showed that the use of the “MUBINA” Digital Voiced Flipbook significantly increased students' learning motivation, facilitated understanding of the material, and made the learning process more interesting than conventional methods. Learners showed a higher interest in Islamic history material and more easily remembered key concepts such as the construction of the Prophet's Mosque and the Madinah Charter. We hope that the “MUBINA” Digital Voice Flipbook can be an effective alternative learning media in Islamic education at the elementary school level. The use of technology in learning should continue to be developed to improve the overall quality of education.

Abstract

Elementary school students’ low understanding of moral conduct toward Allah, parents, and teachers is an important issue in character learning because the learning process is still dominated by lecture methods, the use of less varied media, and the suboptimal use of digital technology. This study aims to develop and analyze the feasibility and effectiveness of Canva-based “SAHABAT” learning media in improving students’ understanding of moral conduct toward Allah, parents, and teachers. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, product design, media development, classroom implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were elementary school students. Data were collected through material expert and media expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test assessments to measure the improvement of students’ understanding. The results show that the Canva-based “SAHABAT” learning media obtained a highly feasible category based on expert validation. Students’ responses to the use of the media were in the very good category, as indicated by increased interest, attention, and involvement in learning. The results of the pre-test and post-test analysis also showed an improvement in students’ understanding of moral conduct material. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the Canva-based “SAHABAT” learning media is feasible, useful, and effective in improving students’ understanding of moral conduct toward Allah, parents, and teachers. The implications of this study indicate that the use of innovative and interactive digital learning media can serve as an alternative for teachers in supporting character learning that is more engaging, meaningful, and aligned with technological development.

Abstract

Although interactive digital learning media have been widely studied, the integration of the jeda sejarah concept in Islamic Religious Education learning at the elementary school level remains relatively limited. This study aims to develop the interactive digital learning media “JEDA” (Jejak Dakwah Nabi Muhammad dari Mekkah ke Madinah) while also testing its feasibility for fourth-grade elementary school students. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with the Design and Development (D&D) method through the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), involving 21 fourth-grade students of SDN Sukaraja II as the main users, an Islamic Religious Education teacher as the material expert, and the fourth-grade homeroom teacher as the media expert selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and interviews, and were then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the JEDA media obtained a very good assessment from the material expert at 98.75%, a good category from the media expert at 85%, and an average student response of 86.59%, which was also in the good category. These findings contribute to the development of technology-based learning in Islamic education while broadening understanding of the use of interactive media for delivering narrative historical material. This study concludes that the JEDA media is feasible for use in learning and supports students’ engagement and understanding of the historical material on the Prophet Muhammad SAW’s da’wah. The implications of this study include a practical contribution as an innovative alternative for teachers, as well as a conceptual contribution through the integration of the jeda sejarah approach as a more meaningful learning strategy.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this article is to describe the development process of the Adably (Daily Ethics and Etiquette) website, built using Gemini Canvas, as a learning tool for sixth-grade elementary school students; to assess its suitability as a medium for teaching ethics and etiquette; and to analyze students’ responses to its use in the learning process. Methodology: This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection instruments included interviews, expert validation sheets for content and media, and learning outcome tests in the form of a pre-test (5 questions) and a post-test (10 questions). The software used includes Gemini Canvas, Canva, and S.id. Main Findings: The validation results indicate that the AdabLy platform is highly effective, with a score of 95% from media experts and 98.75% from content experts. The implementation of the product led to a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, with the average score rising from 39.26 to 84.07. The use of the website has been shown to enhance motivation, active engagement, and the consistency of students’ understanding of ethics-related material. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study lies in the specific integration of the AI-based Gemini Canvas platform with everyday moral education content within an interactive website. This advances character education in elementary schools, providing a more contextual and dynamic alternative for Islamic Education (PAI) learning materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan serta mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran berbasis website KEMMAH yang terintegrasi dengan kuis interaktif berbasis game menggunakan Genially dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design and Development (D&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dokumentasi, serta tes hasil belajar berupa pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan, dengan validasi ahli materi sebesar 100% dan ahli media sebesar 97,5%. Implementasi media menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, dengan nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 61,54 meningkat menjadi 89,23 pada posttest, serta nilai N-gain sebesar 0,72 dalam kategori tinggi. Respon siswa juga sangat positif dengan persentase kepuasan sebesar 93%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Genially sebagai inti kuis interaktif dalam media berbasis web efektif meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, dan pemahaman siswa, serta berkontribusi dalam pengembangan pembelajaran inovatif berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam akibat metode pengajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas "SAHARA", media interaktif berbasis Canvasite untuk materi Asmaul Husna bagi siswa kelas IV. Menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, penelitian ini melibatkan 24 siswa di SDN Talun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa "SAHARA" sangat layak digunakan, dengan perolehan skor rata-rata 96,5% dari ahli materi dan media. Implementasi media menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada hasil belajar, di mana skor rata-rata meningkat dari 61,25 (pretest) menjadi 96,67 (posttest). Selain itu, 87,5% siswa mencapai tingkat penguasaan materi yang tinggi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi video berbasis AI dan kuis interaktif efektif meningkatkan pemahaman kognitif siswa. Peneliti selanjutnya disarankan menyertakan kelompok kontrol untuk memvalidasi temuan ini.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to develop an interactive digital learning media, SI-BELBI (Islamic Cultural Learning System), for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in fourth grade elementary schools. This research is based on the limitations of learning media that can integrate cultural values and Islamic teachings in an interesting, contextual, and appropriate manner to student characteristics. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects included fourth grade students, teachers, and material and media experts. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation, while data analysis included quantitative descriptive methods. The study showed that the SI-BELBI media has a high level of feasibility, with validation from material experts of 87.5% and media experts of 97.5%, so it is categorized as feasible to very feasible. In addition, student responses showed a very high level of practicality and engagement (95%). This media has been proven to be able to increase learning motivation, facilitate understanding of Islamic cultural concepts, and create an interactive and enjoyable learning experience. Therefore, SI-BELBI is worthy of being used as an innovation in digital learning media based on values in Islamic religious education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena rendahnya partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran. Salah satunya ditandai dengan sikap siswa yang tidak aktif dalam bertanya, berdiskusi, dan rendahnya motivasi atau antusias siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Temuan di lapangan menunjukkan penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang variatif dalam pembelajaran menjadi salah satu penyebab rendahnya partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran terutama dalam pembelajaran IPA. Banyak ditemukan siswa yang kurang berpartisipasi aktif sehingga cukup sulit untuk memahami dan menguasai materi yang dipelajari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan non-equivalent control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yakni siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri yang terakreditasi A di Kecamatan Rancaekek. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yakni siswa SDN Bojong Salam 01 tahun ajaran 2023-2024 kelas IV A sebanyak 31 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas IV B sebanyak 31 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni pretest-posttest. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep siswa menggunakan model team games tournament dengan pemahaman konsep siswa menggunakan model ceramah. Selain itu, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran team games tournament berpengaruh positif terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa kelas IV pada materi perubahan energi.
