Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the optimization of publication media and public relations (PR) strategies contributes to enhancing perceived quality and brand association at Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School. Information was obtained through document analysis, in-depth interviews with public relations managers, and direct observation of institutional communication activities using a qualitative case study methodology. The findings reveal that the strategic use of electronic Word of Mouth (e-WoM), targeted sales promotions, and symbolic interaction through social media platforms significantly improve stakeholders' perceived quality of the institution. Furthermore, the brand link is successfully reinforced by PR techniques aimed at building a favourable corporate image and enhancing brand loyalty among students and the local community. The study concludes that integrated, media-based public relations strategies are instrumental in building institutional credibility and public trust. These findings highlight the importance of adopting ethically grounded, technology-integrated PR approaches and recommend the development of a symmetrical two-way communication model to sustain the positive image and long-term relevance of Islamic boarding schools in the digital era.

Abstract

This research explores the role of organizational culture in enhancing teacher mindfulness in madrasas, viewed through the lens of Schein's organizational culture theory. A qualitative case study approach was employed, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data analysis followed a three-step process: data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that three key elements of organizational culture significantly contribute to increasing teacher mindfulness. First, organizational culture artifacts, such as outing class activities and the 3S slogan (Greetings, Smile, Greet), play a vital role. Second, the espoused beliefs and values reflect the madrasa's unique vision, particularly the fifth content of the Five Santri Awarenesses—organizational awareness. Third, the underlying assumption is that integrating technology and open dialogue in madrasa activities and learning fosters a strong and influential organizational culture. This study highlights the importance of organizational culture in fostering teacher mindfulness, leading to a more harmonious and effective work environment that enhances educational quality.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the principal in building student discipline through the reward-and-punishment approach in Islamic boarding schools. This study uses a qualitative approach of the phenomenological type, where researchers use interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis is done through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The study results indicate that the principal not only carries out administrative functions but is also actively involved in students' transformative academic and character development. As an Instructional Leader, the principal fosters learning, provides supervision and builds a coaching system that integrates academics and discipline. In the role of Role Model, the principal’s exemplary attitude, discipline, and spirituality have proven effective in forming a positive culture collectively. As a Manager and Policy Maker, the principal designs a systematic reward and punishment policy based on Islamic boarding school values and is dialogical. Meanwhile, the role of a Motivator is carried out through a personal, affirmative, and inspirational approach that builds the spirit of teachers and students. The discussion results show that these four roles strengthen each other and contribute to forming an educational and sustainable disciplinary climate. This study provides implications regarding the importance of contextual, participatory, and humanistic principal leadership in managing value-based schools.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) using loose-part media in early childhood education at RA Umi Sundari, a private ECE institution in Indonesia. PjBL is recognized for promoting active, meaningful learning by engaging children in real-world projects that integrate exploration, problem-solving, and collaboration. Despite its growing adoption, the integration of PjBL with loose-part media—flexible, open-ended materials such as stones, bottle caps, or sticks—remains under-researched, especially in the context of private early childhood settings. Employing a qualitative descriptive method and an intrinsic case study design, this research investigates how PjBL with loose parts supports the cognitive, motor, and social development of young children. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and analyzed using thematic analysis. Findings reveal that loose-part-based PjBL fosters creativity, independence, and critical thinking while enhancing children’s enthusiasm for learning. Teachers played a crucial role as facilitators, guiding exploration through open-ended questions, emotional support, and structured reflection. The study also identifies several challenges, including uneven teacher preparedness, limited material availability, and time constraints for project planning. While the learning outcomes were positive, the research was limited to a single institution and a short timeframe. Therefore, future studies should explore broader applications, long-term impacts, and potential integration with digital tools. This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on early childhood pedagogical innovation by offering a contextually relevant model for enhancing child development through PjBL and loose-part integration.

Abstract

The study aims to identify how anti-bullying policies can build student resilience in dealing with bullying. This resilience functions as a fortress that protects students from the impact of the mistreatment they receive. This research method uses a qualitative approach. This qualitative approach was chosen to obtain broad and in-depth information about building student resilience through anti-bullying risk management—a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type is used to examine subjects such as behavior, motivation, and actions. The study results indicate that student resilience can be built through anti-bullying risk management by identifying bullying risks and receiving support from caregivers, counselors, and teacher support so that students can build resilience well. The implications of this study indicate that by placing bullying risks early on and providing support from caregivers, counselors, and teacher support, students can obtain better emotional protection and build mental strength to face difficult situations. Another aspect is that Islamic boarding schools need to establish a secure, encouraging, and supportive setting for students' growth.
