Abstract

This study investigates the role of systematic planning in religious extracurricular activities at Islamic secondary schools in Indonesia, aiming to strengthen students' religious character. In response to the challenges posed by globalization and secular cultural penetration, Islamic education must develop not only intellectual abilities but also strong moral and spiritual foundations. The study employs a qualitative case study approach, focusing on one school with a robust religious extracurricular program. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that structured planning, which includes needs analysis, program design, resource allocation, and evaluation, significantly improves student participation in religious activities, such as prayers, Qur'an study, and social-religious activities, leading to better discipline, manners, and social awareness. The research highlights the importance of involving students in the planning process, enhancing their sense of ownership and leadership. The study contributes to Islamic education management by offering a conceptual model for effective religious program planning, with implications for improving character education practices in schools. Future research should explore the applicability of the proposed model across various educational settings.

Abstract

Integration of Islamic Values in Digital Governance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al MufasirThe development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the education management system, including in the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) environment. Digitalization is now a key element in the governance of educational institutions, demanding efficiency, transparency, and data-driven accountability. However, as Islamic educational institutions, madrasas have a responsibility to ensure that digital transformation remains grounded in Islamic moral and spiritual values. This study aims to explore the application of Islamic digital ethics principles in digital governance at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Mufasir, Jln. Gandasoja No. 41, Sukamantri Village, Paseh District, Bandung Regency. The focus of the study includes the internalization of the values of amanah (responsibility), shiddiq (honesty), ‘adl (justice), and ihsan (professionalism) in various aspects of digital management such as the Madrasah Information System, online learning, and application-based administration. The results of the study indicate that the integration of these Islamic values not only improves the efficiency and quality of digital governance but also strengthens institutional ethics and the religious character of all madrasah members. Thus, digitalization at MTs Al Mufasir is not merely a technological instrument, but also a means of preaching and fostering noble character. This research is expected to serve as a reference in developing an Islamic digital governance model based on Islamic values (Islamic Digital Governance Model) at other Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

The integration of Qur'anic values in the pesantren curriculum is a strategic need in the midst of the demands of modern education and needs to be managed managerially. This study aims to analyze the influence of Qur'anic value integration planning management on the strengthening of Islamic boarding school curriculum, which includes vision planning, needs analysis, strategy formulation, coordination, and continuous evaluation. The study used a descriptive-associative quantitative approach with a survey design on the management of IKSAN Pesantren Darul Falah West Bandung. The research instrument was tested using SPSS 26 with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.900 which indicates very high reliability. Data analysis included Shapiro–Wilk normality tests and simple linear regression. The results showed normal distribution data and a regression significance value of 0.000, which confirmed the significant influence of planning management on strengthening the pesantren curriculum. This study concludes that systematic and Qur'anic value-based planning is a key factor in strengthening the pesantren curriculum to be adaptive to the challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of teacher human resources based on the core principles of Islamic Educational Management at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Maarif Daarut Taqwa, Cibatu Garut. The research focuses on six key components of human resource management: planning, recruitment and selection, teacher development, performance appraisal, reward systems, and work discipline and ethics. A qualitative case study approach was employed, using interviews, observations, document analysis, and Likert-scale questionnaires to obtain comprehensive empirical data. The findings indicate that all aspects of teacher human resource management fall within the good to very good categories. Islamic work culture, the exemplary leadership of the principal, and the integration of amanah and ihsan values emerge as the most influential factors supporting the effectiveness of the management system. Nevertheless, several areas still require improvement, particularly the consistency of annual teacher workforce planning and the development of a competency-based promotion system. This study highlights that Islamic spiritual values function not only as ethical foundations but also as strategic frameworks in managing teachers within Islamic educational institutions. The results contribute to strengthening theoretical perspectives in Islamic Educational Management and offer practical recommendations for madrasahs to build a more integrated, value-based, and sustainable human resource management model. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengelolaan sumber daya manusia guru berbasis prinsip Manajemen Pendidikan Islam di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Maarif Daarut Taqwa Cibatu Garut. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada enam komponen inti pengelolaan SDM, yaitu perencanaan, rekrutmen dan seleksi, pembinaan dan pengembangan, penilaian kinerja, sistem penghargaan, serta disiplin dan etika kerja guru. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan kuesioner skala Likert sebagai instrumen pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh aspek pengelolaan SDM guru berada pada kategori baik hingga sangat baik. Budaya kerja Islami, keteladanan kepala madrasah, dan integrasi nilai amanah serta ihsan menjadi faktor dominan yang memperkuat kualitas manajerial madrasah. Namun, beberapa aspek masih memerlukan penguatan, terutama dalam perencanaan kebutuhan guru secara rutin dan pengembangan sistem promosi berbasis kompetensi. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa nilai-nilai spiritual Islam tidak hanya menjadi landasan etik, tetapi juga kerangka kerja strategis dalam pengelolaan SDM guru. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi penguatan teori Manajemen Pendidikan Islam sekaligus menyediakan rekomendasi praktis bagi madrasah untuk mengembangkan model pengelolaan SDM yang lebih terintegrasi dan berkelanjutan. Abstract

This study analyzes the amalgamation of the pesantren curriculum and secondary education at STIT Buntet Pesantren Cirebon, focusing on Islamic tenets and academic criteria within the framework of modern education. This study aims to elucidate the implementation of the integration of the pesantren and higher curriculum at STIT Buntet Pesantren Cirebon, as well as to identify the elements that facilitate and impede its achievement. Employing a qualitative case study methodology, data are collected via participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis from the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Head of Study Program, and students. This study explains that the integration process centers on three fundamental pillars: faith, knowledge, and charity, with a strong emphasis on moderation (wasathiyah) in the curriculum. Although integration has been successful, the problem lies in the use of pesantren values as indicators in academic evaluation, and character development in the classroom takes time. This study emphasizes the importance of optimizing the implementation of an integrative curriculum, contributing to the literature by demonstrating the application of Islamic principles in the context of practical and academic education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the handling of human resource (HR) issues at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Matlaul Atfal based on Islamic values within the framework of Islamic Education Management. The study is motivated by the limited number of empirical studies examining the operational implementation of Islamic values in human resource management at the Islamic primary school level. This research employed a mini research design using a descriptive qualitative approach. The research participants consisted of nine individuals, including the principal, teachers, administrative staff, and foundation board members. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis of seven institutional documents. Data analysis was conducted thematically through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the integration of Islamic values such as amanah (trustworthiness), ihsan (excellence), justice, deliberation (shura), and sincerity (ikhlas) in human resource planning, recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and character development contributes positively to improving professional competence, work ethics, and motivation among teachers and staff. Furthermore, the application of Islamic values strengthens the Islamic school culture and helps minimize internal conflicts. This study provides a theoretical contribution by reinforcing the empirical model of Islamic value-based human resource management in Islamic primary schools and a practical contribution as a reference for sustainable and character-based human resource management policies KEYWORDS: Human Resource Management; Human Resources; Islamic Education Management; Islamic Primary School; Islamic Values Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penanganan isu sumber daya manusia (SDM) di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Matlaul Atfal berbasis nilai Islami dalam kerangka Manajemen Pendidikan Islam (MPI). Studi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterbatasan penelitian empiris yang mengkaji implementasi operasional nilai-nilai Islami dalam manajemen SDM pada jenjang madrasah ibtidaiyah. Penelitian menggunakan metode mini research dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah sembilan partisipan yang terdiri atas kepala madrasah, guru, tenaga administrasi, dan pengurus yayasan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi non-partisipan, serta studi dokumentasi terhadap tujuh dokumen kelembagaan. Analisis data dilakukan secara tematik melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan menerapkan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai Islami seperti amanah, ihsan, keadilan, musyawarah, dan ikhlas dalam perencanaan SDM, rekrutmen, pelatihan, evaluasi kinerja, serta pembinaan karakter SDM berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi profesional, etika kerja, dan motivasi guru serta tenaga kependidikan. Selain itu, penerapan nilai-nilai Islami tersebut turut memperkuat budaya kerja madrasah yang harmonis dan religius serta meminimalkan potensi konflik internal. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dalam memperkaya kajian empiris mengenai manajemen SDM berbasis nilai Islami pada madrasah ibtidaiyah serta kontribusi praktis sebagai rujukan kebijakan pengelolaan SDM yang berkelanjutan dan berkarakter Islami. Abstract

Digital transformation in Islamic education requires educational institutions to not only implement learning technologies, but also to plan digital innovations strategically and systematically. However, studies focusing on digital innovation at the level of Islamic education planning, particularly in the context of private madrasahs, are still limited. This study aims to analyze digital innovation in Islamic education planning at MA Al-Jawami Cileunyi and examine digital innovation planning strategies in accelerating learning adaptation. This study uses a qualitative research design with a field study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and analysis of madrasah planning documents, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The results show that digital innovation is planned in a gradual and adaptive manner, with human resource readiness as the main focus of planning. This strategy has an impact on accelerating learning adaptation, as indicated by changes in teachers' work patterns, the use of digital systems in learning planning and evaluation, and increased stakeholder involvement. This study confirms that contextual digital innovation planning based on Islamic educational values plays an important role in supporting learning adaptation in madrasahs..   Keywords: digital innovation; Islamic education planning; learning adaptation; madrasah   Abstrak: Transformasi digital dalam pendidikan Islam menuntut lembaga pendidikan untuk tidak hanya mengimplementasikan teknologi pembelajaran, tetapi juga merencanakan inovasi digital secara strategis dan sistematis. Namun, kajian yang memfokuskan inovasi digital pada level perencanaan pendidikan Islam, khususnya pada konteks madrasah swasta masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis inovasi digital dalam perencanaan pendidikan Islam di MA Al-Jawami Cileunyi serta mengkaji strategi perencanaan inovasi digital dalam mempercepat adaptasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi lapangan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen perencanaan madrasah, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi digital direncanakan secara bertahap dan adaptif dengan menempatkan kesiapan sumber daya manusia sebagai fokus utama perencanaan. Strategi tersebut berdampak pada percepatan adaptasi pembelajaran yang ditandai oleh perubahan pola kerja guru, pemanfaatan sistem digital dalam perencanaan dan evaluasi pembelajaran, serta meningkatnya keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk dan dinamika transformasi tata kelola berdasarkan nilai-nilai inti Manajemen Pendidikan Islam (IEM) di Institut Agama Islam (IAI) Persis Bandung (Kelas Hybrid Cibatu). Fokus utama penelitian ini diarahkan pada bagaimana nilai-nilai amanah, musyawarah, keadilan, dan ihsan diintegrasikan ke dalam proses manajemen lembaga, dan sejauh mana nilai-nilai tersebut berkontribusi pada penguatan tata kelola Islam di tingkat Perguruan Tinggi Agama Islam (PTKI). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik survei yang dikombinasikan dengan studi kasus deskriptif untuk mendapatkan pemahaman kontekstual yang lebih mendalam. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada dosen dan staf pengajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi tata kelola di IAI Persis Bandung (Kelas Hybrid Cibatu) bergerak menuju model yang lebih partisipatif, transparan, dan akuntabel. Perubahan ini terlihat dari penguatan mekanisme musyawarah dalam pengambilan keputusan, peningkatan transparansi informasi, dan perbaikan sistem penjaminan mutu berdasarkan evaluasi berkelanjutan. Namun, penelitian ini juga menemukan hambatan signifikan berupa birokrasi manual, integrasi data yang terbatas, dan rendahnya literasi digital di kalangan sebagian akademisi. Upaya digitalisasi sistem akademik merupakan solusi strategis yang mulai memberikan dampak positif pada efisiensi tata kelola. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai dasar MPI memainkan peran penting dalam membangun tata kelola PTKI yang bercirikan Islam, adaptif, dan berorientasi pada peningkatan kualitas.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari kekhawatiran atas degradasi moral generasi muda akibat paparan digital serta lemahnya pengasuhan nilai di lingkungan rumah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain dan menganalisis perencanaan pendidikan karakter Islami di RA Al-Munar guna meningkatkan moralitas siswa usia dini. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi implementasi nilai-nilai akhlak melalui kegiatan harian, kolaborasi orang tua-sekolah, dan keteladanan guru. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan nilai Islami dilakukan melalui pembiasaan rutin (ta'wīd), keteladanan guru (uswah hasanah), dan integrasi nilai ke dalam RPPH. Selain itu, keterlibatan aktif orang tua dan strategi komunikasi efektif memperkuat sinergi pembentukan karakter antara rumah dan sekolah. Hambatan seperti perbedaan pola asuh dan keterbatasan sarana diatasi dengan pelatihan orang tua serta konsistensi program pembiasaan. Hasil ini memperkaya literatur pendidikan karakter Islam dengan pentingnya kontekstual perencanaan, sesuai dengan kerangka konsep Lickona dan Al-Ghazali.

Abstract

The integration of religious and general knowledge is a fundamental principle of Islamic education, but the curriculum practices in madrasah tsanawiyah (junior high school) still show disciplinary separation, which results in fragmented learning and weak integration of student competencies. This study aims to analyze the implementation of interdisciplinary curriculum management at MTs Al-Mishbah in Bandung and identify obstacles to teacher adaptation from the perspective of Islamic Education Management. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with the deputy head of the madrasah in charge of the curriculum, general subject teachers, and religious subject teachers, observation of the teaching and learning process in the classroom, and analysis of curriculum documents in the form of syllabi and lesson plans. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to find patterns and implementative meanings. The results of the study indicate that the madrasah curriculum has not been systematically integrated. The integration of disciplines is only applied to certain materials, is not supported by integrated syllabi and assessment instruments, there is minimal collaboration between teachers, and there are constraints in terms of competence, time, and managerial support. This study emphasizes that an interdisciplinary curriculum in madrasahs requires strengthening the functions of planning, organizing, and developing human resources as the core of Islamic Education Management.
