Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems in managing research journal drafts in the academic environment, especially among students and supervisors. Currently, journal data storage and processing are still done manually, so supervisors experience difficulties in tracking students' published scientific works. This is caused by the lack of an integrated system for storing and managing the data. This study aims to develop an application that can simplify the process of storing and processing journal data by building a research journal draft repository information system in the Information Systems Study Program. The type of research used is quantitative research with agile software development methods. Data were collected through literature studies and surveys using questionnaires. The developed system was tested using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The result of this study is a web-based information system that makes it easier for students and supervisors to store and manage journal data. Based on the results of testing and questionnaire analysis, the system obtained an average SUS score of 83.3 and is included in the "Acceptable" category in the Acceptability Range. These results indicate that the developed research journal draft repository information system is feasible to use and can be implemented well by users.

Abstract

Food security has emerged as a critical global issue, particularly in urban areas experiencing rapid population growth, land scarcity, and ecological challenges. Urban farming is increasingly recognized as an innovative and sustainable solution to strengthen food security in cities. However, discussions on urban farming often focus on technical and economic dimensions, while ethical and spiritual perspectives—especially from Islamic teachings—remain underexplored. This study aims to examine food security ethics and urban farming practices from the perspective of the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Using a qualitative library-based research method, this study employs a thematic (maudhu‘i) hadith analysis to identify prophetic traditions related to food production, environmental stewardship, self-sufficiency, moderation, and social responsibility. The findings reveal that the Hadith strongly encourages productive land use, even in limited spaces, emphasizes the moral obligation to ensure food availability, and promotes sustainable interaction with nature. Principles such as avoiding waste (israf), maintaining balance (mizan), fostering communal welfare, and ensuring justice in food distribution are deeply embedded in prophetic teachings. Urban farming, when viewed through this ethical framework, is not merely an agricultural practice but a form of worship (‘ibadah) and social responsibility that aligns with Islamic values. This study contributes to interdisciplinary discourse by integrating Islamic ethical perspectives with contemporary urban food systems and offers a normative foundation for developing faith-based food security policies. The findings are expected to enrich Islamic studies, environmental ethics, and sustainable urban development, particularly in Muslim-majority urban contexts. Abstract

This research arises from the significance of effective educational approaches in improving students' engagement, especially in Islamic Education at SDIT AL-Hidayah Bogor. This research aims to create and implement storytelling techniques as a learning method that could enhance students' engagement. The research method used is a qualitative case study, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation related to the application of storytelling methods in the school. The study results indicate that the storytelling method applied holistically through religious teaching with the subject "Stories of Righteous Children," as well as integration with the school's literacy program and student cultural presentations, has proven effective in enhancing student motivation. Additionally, regular training for educators and school community members also contributes to the successful implementation of this method. This research identifies challenges, including the conventional nature of storytelling methods, the lack of relevant context, and limitations in technology integration. Therefore, this study offers solutions by using more varied and contextual methods and utilizing digital media to enhance the appeal of learning. The novelty of this research lies in integrating storytelling methods within a broader context of religious education and emphasizing the importance of adapting technology in the learning process.

Abstract

This study explores how Qur'anic values are integrated into the management of modern pesantren. (Islamic boarding schools) through a literature review approach. It draws upon primary sources such as the Qur'an and classical Islamic texts that serve as foundational references in Islamic education. The analysis focuses on three main aspects: Qur'an-based planning, spiritual leadership, and institutional governance. Qur'an-based planning emphasizes the importance of a pesantren’s vision and mission, rooted in the principles of ihsan (excellence) and tawakkal (trust in God). Spiritual leadership highlights the role of kiai and pesantren administrators in fostering exemplary conduct, honesty, and noble character as the cornerstone of organizational culture. Meanwhile, institutional governance encompasses administrative systems, curriculum development, and social relations within the pesantren, guided by the principles of musyawarah (deliberation), amanah (trustworthiness), and justice. The findings suggest that integrating Qur'anic values into modern pesantren management, as reflected in classical Islamic sources, contributes to both character development among students and the overall effectiveness of pesantren governance.

Abstract

Forest exploitation is a serious issue that directly impacts environmental degradation, public safety, and the sustainability of natural resources. To date, forest exploitation has largely been understood as an administrative and policy-related issue in natural resource management, resulting in limited legal accountability. This article aims to analyze the legal status of forests within the perspective of Islamic law and to formulate a framework of criminal liability for forest exploitation that harms public interests. This study employs a normative juridical approach through library research, utilizing primary sources such as the Qur’an and Hadith, as well as secondary sources including literature on fiqh jināyah and legal maxims. The findings indicate that forests in Islamic law can be classified as part of public ownership (milkiyyah ‘āmmah), whose management constitutes a state trust for public welfare. Forest exploitation that causes environmental damage and social harm can be analyzed as an act involving elements of fasād fī al-arḍ and, through legal reasoning (istinbāṭ), can be classified as a ta‘zīr offense. The novelty of this study lies in the expansion of criminal liability, which not only applies to individuals and corporations as direct actors but also extends to the state in cases of administrative negligence and abuse of authority. Thus, Islamic criminal law provides an adaptive framework for addressing modern ecological crimes based on the protection of public welfare.

Abstract

Abstract

In an era of decentralisation and strengthening regional autonomy, recognition of the role of indigenous peoples in social governance is becoming increasingly important. This study integrates a community-based restorative justice approach into national legal policy, thereby strengthening efforts to reform the criminal justice system, reducing the burden on law enforcement agencies, and increasing the sense of justice at the grassroots level. This study primarily focuses on integrating relevant theories to construct a comprehensive framework for understanding restorative justice in Indonesian indigenous communities as a form of contextual justice. The results confirm that restorative justice in Indonesian indigenous communities is not merely a traditional legacy, but an intellectual discourse of resistance against the state's monopoly on defining and enforcing justice. Amid national laws that remain colonial in nature, the practice of customary justice shows that true justice arises from the depths of human relationships, not from the rigidity of procedures. The tension between state law and customary law, the decolonial function of restorative justice, and the risk of domestication through institutionalisation all emphasise the need for a paradigm shift in Indonesian law. Thus, the future of justice in Indonesia depends on the state's courage to be the sole centre of legitimacy no longer, but to become a space for dialogue that allows customary justice to grow as an equal partner in upholding humanity and restoring communal life.

Abstract

This paper examines the increasing tendency of constitutional judges to function as a “positive legislature,” namely by establishing alternative normative standards rather than merely annulling illegal legislation. The paper used a comparative doctrinal methodology to analyze three jurisdictions: Indonesia's Constitutional Court, Bulgaria's Constitutional Court, and Mexico's Supreme Court. The comparison reveals that Indonesia frequently uses conditional rulings with erga omnes effects to effectively establish replacement norms; Bulgaria often mitigates normative vacuums by reviving previous rules and expansive, teleological constitutional interpretation; and Mexico enhances rights protection through the juicio de amparo and the gradual establishment of progressive, binding precedent. Based on these patterns, the article suggests a Constitutionally Guided Positive Legislature (CGPL) model that directs the creation of judicial norms through (i) structured and open normative intervention, (ii) temporary constitutional norms with clear boundaries, (iii) substantial democratic justification, and (iv) a test for the separation of powers. CGPL is meant to keep judicial lawmaking in check, ensuring it remains fair and responsible while also protecting rights, delivering real justice, and keeping democracy alive.
