Abstract

QS ‘Abasa (80: 1–10) menjadi salah satu ayat kunci dalam membangun paradigma pendidikan Islam yang inklusif dan humanis. Narasi turunnya ayat yang melibatkan sosok sahabat tunanetra, Ibnu Ummi Maktum, memperlihatkan koreksi Ilahi terhadap pola dakwah yang dipengaruhi hierarki sosial pada masa awal Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam QS ‘Abasa dengan meninjau penafsiran klasik dan kontemporer, serta relevansinya bagi pengembangan pendidikan Islam modern. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi kepustakaan dan analisis tematik, kajian ini menemukan bahwa QS ‘Abasa memuat sejumlah nilai pendidikan utama, antara lain nilai inklusivitas dan kesetaraan sosial, nilai hak akses terhadap pendidikan agama, nilai keteladanan nabi dalam menerima koreksi, nilai penghormatan terhadap martabat penyandang disabilitas, dan nilai relevansi pendidikan Islam di era modern. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa QS ‘Abasa bukan sekadar teks historis, tetapi landasan normatif bagi pembentukan pendidikan Islam adaptif yang menjunjung martabat manusia tanpa memandang kondisi fisik atau status sosial. Dengan demikian, nilai-nilai yang dihadirkan ayat ini dapat menjadi acuan dalam merumuskan kebijakan, kurikulum, dan praktik pendidikan keagamaan yang lebih setara dan transformatif.

Abstract

This study investigates the fabrication and characterization of aluminium matrix composites reinforced with rice husk ash (RHA), using scrap aluminium as the base material and evaporative pattern casting as the manufacturing method. The work evaluates the effects of three key independent variables: pouring temperature, aluminium (Al)-RHA composition ratios, and styrofoam pattern thickness on the resulting composite properties. The dependent variables examined include surface roughness, Brinell hardness, and dimensional shrinkage-expansion. Experimental results show that increasing the pouring temperature and adjusting the composition ratio significantly influence the mechanical and physical properties of the composites. The highest hardness (45.6 HB) and fluidity (252.65 mm) were achieved at a 60:40 composition ratio and a pouring temperature of 750 °C, albeit at the cost of increased porosity. Additionally, the styrofoam pattern thickness was found to affect the dimensional stability and surface roughness of the composites, with thicker patterns resulting in higher surface roughness. This study highlights the potential of utilizing rice husk ash as a reinforcing material in aluminium matrix composites, offering a sustainable approach to improving material properties. The findings suggest that an optimal balance of composition ratio, pouring temperature, and pattern thickness is crucial to achieving desirable mechanical and physical characteristics, with implications for advanced manufacturing processes in the materials industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the aspect of maslahah and the effectiveness of the policy from the perspective of Islamic law. This research employs a qualitative method with a field research approach and descriptive analytical methodology. Primary data are derived from the related circular letter, while secondary data are obtained from relevant scientific literature. Data analysis is conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validity ensured through source triangulation. The findings indicate that, conceptually, the policy aligns with the principle of maslahah, particularly in enhancing the welfare of mustahik and reflecting prudence in religious practice. However, in practice, its effectiveness remains suboptimal due to limited socialization, differences in understanding, and variations in community compliance, thus requiring improved policy communication and public education.

Abstract

Salah satu lembaga pemberi pinjaman di Kabupaten Lamongan adalah Koperasi Arsiyah. Koperasi ini menawarkan pinjaman kepada nasabah di wilayah Kabupaten Lamongan setiap harinya. Koperasi Arsiyah memiliki aturan yang menyatakan bahwa pinjaman hanya dapat disetujui hingga 40% dari harga jaminan debitur. Terkadang Koperasi Arsiyah masih enggan untuk memberikan pinjaman meskipun lebih dari 50%. Dengan menawarkan estimasi alternatif dan mengkonfirmasi kelayakan pinjaman yang dibuat debitur, sistem pendukung keputusan pinjaman membantu divisi analisis kredit Koperasi Arsiyah di Kabupaten Lamongan membuat pilihan. Sistem ini berisi beberapa kriteria, termasuk jangka waktu pinjaman, biaya agunan, dan kondisi barang, dan menggunakan pendekatan fuzzy Tsukamoto untuk memperkirakan kelayakan debitur untuk mendapatkan pinjaman. Berdasarkan situs web yang dapat digunakan oleh para analis dan pemberi pinjaman Koperasi Arsiyah, metode prediksi ini dibuat.

Abstract

This study examines the values of character education contained in the book Syi'ir Mitra Sejati by Bisri Mustofa. This research is expected to be able to contribute scientific thinking about the relevance of educational values contained in the book Mitra Sejati. This research is descriptive qualitative research based on the case of study. Data collection techniques by collecting existing data either through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analytical method in this study uses two methods, namely the method of content analysis and the method of interpretive description. The results of this study explain that the book of Syair Mitra Sejati by KH. Bisri Mustofa contains the concept of moral education which has a social scope of humanity with several morals: morals to parents, people's morals to the government, morals of students to teachers, morals to friends, kinds of manners, morals of listening to conversations, morals of speaking, morals of associating, morals when eating, morals in dressing, caring for the environment, morals for visiting, morals to visit sick people.

Abstract. This study examines M. Quraish Shihab’s interpretation of seven gender-related Qur’anic verses in Tafsir al-Mishbah (QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 187, 223, 228; Ali-Imran [3]: 36, 195; An-Nisa [4]: 34; Al-Hujurat [49]: 13). Employing a contextual-humanist hermeneutical approach, it examines the concepts of libas, harth, qawwamah, mubadalah, and atqakum as principles of equality (musawah), reciprocity, functional justice, and recognition of human potential based on piety rather than gender or social hierarchy. The research adopts a qualitative design, combining library study and thematic content analysis of Tafsir al-Mishbah, supported by recent empirical data on gender-based violence. Findings reveals that Shihab’s interpretation is progressive and moderate, rejecting literal-patriarchal readings that remain dominant in society. Nonetheless, a significant hermeneutical gap persists between the tafsir’s ideal vision and social realities, as reflected in the rise of 376,529 cases of gender-based violence against women in 2025 (an increase of 14.07%) and the persistence of school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV). The study concludes that Shihab’s perspective provides a strong foundation for a gender-responsive character education model integrating Thomas Lickona’s three pillars with critical awareness of patriarchal bias. Effective implementation requires contextualized curricula, gender-sensitive teacher training, and a school culture committed to equity and zero tolerance. Islamic education, thus, holds transformative potential in advancing a gender-just society consistent with Islam’s vision as rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Quraish Shihab dalam Tafsir al-Mishbah terhadap tujuh ayat gender dalam Al-Qur’an, yaitu QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 187, 223, 228; Ali-Imran [3]: 36, 195; An-Nisa [4]: 34; dan Al-Hujurat [49]: 13. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutis kontekstual-humanis, penelitian ini menganalisis konsep libas, harth, qawwamah, mubadalah, dan atqakum sebagai prinsip kesetaraan esensial (musawah), kesalingan, keadilan fungsional, serta penghargaan terhadap potensi manusia yang berbasis ketakwaan, bukan jenis kelamin atau status sosial. Penelitian bersifat kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka dan analisis konten tematik terhadap Tafsir al-Mishbah, didukung data empiris terkini mengenai kekerasan berbasis gender. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penafsiran Shihab bersifat progresif dan moderat, menolak pembacaan literal-patriarkal yang masih dominan di masyarakat. Namun, terdapat kesenjangan hermeneutis yang signifikan antara visi ideal tafsir dengan realitas sosial, sebagaimana tercermin dalam 376.529 kasus Kekerasan Berbasis Gender terhadap Perempuan (KBGtP) tahun 2025 (naik 14,07%) dan fenomena School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV) di lingkungan pendidikan. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa penafsiran Shihab memiliki potensi besar sebagai landasan bagi model pendidikan karakter responsif gender yang mengintegrasikan tiga pilar Thomas Lickona dengan analisis kritis terhadap bias patriarkal. Implementasi yang efektif memerlukan kurikulum kontekstual, pelatihan guru yang sensitif gender, serta budaya sekolah berbasis zero-tolerance dan kesetaraan partisipasi. Dengan demikian, pendidikan Islam dapat berperan sebagai agen transformasi menuju masyarakat yang berkeadilan gender dan sesuai semangat Islam rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Abstract

This study examines the concept of honoring knowledge (‘ilm) and scholars (‘ulama) in the Qur’an through a comparative analysis of the classical exegesis of Ibn Kathīr and the contemporary interpretation of M. Quraish Shihab’s Tafsir Al-Mishbah on Qur’an Surah al-Mujādalah verse 11. The background of this research arises from the shifting perception of religious authority in modern society, characterized by rapid information flows, the rise of instant religious figures, and the weakening of traditional Islamic scholarship. The objectives of this research are: (1) to explain the Qur’anic concept of knowledge and scholars; (2) to compare the interpretative frameworks of Ibn Kathīr and Quraish Shihab; and (3) to identify educational values derived from both exegetical approaches. This qualitative study employs library research, using Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr and Tafsir Al-Mishbah as primary sources. Data were analyzed through content analysis and comparative methods to examine methodological differences, interpretative emphases, and educational implications. The findings show that Ibn Kathīr prioritizes authentic narrations (riwāyāt) in interpreting the verse and highlights social ethics and the Prophet’s exemplary conduct. Meanwhile, Quraish Shihab adopts a maqāṣid-oriented approach, emphasizing universal moral principles and contextual relevance to modern social and educational settings. The study reveals that knowledge in Islam integrates rational, spiritual, and moral dimensions. Scholars are regarded as the inheritors of prophets, entrusted with intellectual and ethical responsibilities. In conclusion, both tafsir traditions complement each other: Ibn Kathīr provides strong textual-historical foundations, while Al-Mishbah offers contextual insights essential for constructing relevant and holistic Islamic educational frameworks.

Abstract

This study analyzes the factors behind the high abstention (golput) rate in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) of DKI Jakarta, focusing on North Jakarta. The abstention rate reached 47,07%, the highest in DKI Jakarta, indicating low political participation and raising concerns about the quality of local democracy. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collected through interviews and literature review. The analysis applies political participation theory. The findings show that abstention is influenced by socio-economic, psychological, rational, and technical factors. Psychological aspects, such as apathy and low trust in candidates, are the most dominant. Technical barriers, including limited access to polling stations, also contribute. Additionally, both active and passive abstention are identified, driven by political fatigue and ineffective electoral outreach. The study concludes that abstention is shaped not only by individual factors but also by structural conditions, highlighting the need for more effective strategies to increase political participation. Abstract

This study aims to investigate the application of Sayyidah ‘Ā’ishah’s emancipatory pedagogy in contemporary Islamic education, with a focus on gender-inclusive educational models implemented in Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) and Madrasah (Islamic schools) in Indonesia. The primary research question explores how the pedagogical principles exemplified by Sayyidah ‘Ā’ishah, such as dialogical teaching, intellectual courage, and constructive critique of religious text interpretations, are integrated into modern Islamic educational practices. Employing a qualitative, field-based methodology, data was collected through in-depth interviews with educators and students, classroom observations, and an analysis of relevant curriculum documents implemented in Pesantren and Madrasah. The findings reveal that while Sayyidah ‘Ā’ishah’s legacy provides a powerful model for promoting gender justice within Islamic education, its application faces various challenges, including resistance from some conservative educational structures. This research asserts that Sayyidah ‘Ā’ishah’s pedagogical model offers a feasible framework for reforming Islamic education, providing a path towards gender equity and intellectual liberation, while promoting critical thinking within Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This paper aims to understand the behavioral tendencies of Muslim micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) in Kudus, on the dimensions of religion, spirituality and business activities. The research method used is field research with a qualitative approach, by conducting interviews and observations of the research object. Structured interviews were conducted with 17 informants, taking into account religion, business cluster and business location. The results of the study indicate that the tendency of business behavior of Muslim entrepreneurs is influenced by several factors, one of which is spiritual and religious factors. However, not all of this business behavior is motivated by spiritual and religious factors. Although, in general, economic factors are often the motivation for business behavior.
