Abstract

This study investigates the critical challenge of achieving net-zero emissions in Southeast Asian heavy industries, employing a mixed-method approach combining quantitative analysis of 300 companies and qualitative case studies of six organizations. We examine the efficacy of sustainability management strategies, implementation frameworks, and performance measurement systems in accelerating net-zero transitions. Our findings reveal that companies with structured implementation frameworks are 3.7 times more likely to achieve net-zero targets on schedule (p < 0.001), while robust performance measurement systems correlate with a 2.5-year acceleration in target achievement (β = -2.5, p < 0.01). We develop and validate a novel implementation framework and a tailored Balanced Scorecard for net-zero initiatives. This research contributes to the literature by proposing an integrated model linking sustainability strategy, implementation mechanisms, and performance outcomes in net-zero transitions. Our findings offer theoretical insights into organizational change dynamics and provide evidence- based tools for industry practitioners and policymakers in high-emission sectors

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of a web-based employee performance appraisal system at PT. Cinta Food, focusing on effectiveness, consistency, and administrative efficiency. The research employed a case study design with a descriptive quantitative approach, supported by system testing using the blackbox method. Findings reveal that the implementation of the web-based system reduced the performance appraisal process from 14 days to 4 days, achieving a 71.43% efficiency gain. The consistency rate between appraisers increased from 78% to 95%, indicating a significant reduction in subjective bias. Additionally, the administrative workload in the HRD division decreased by up to 60% due to automated archiving and integration of attendance data with performance targets. The system’s audit trail feature enhanced transparency and simplified dispute resolution. These results align with previous studies highlighting the benefits of digitizing performance appraisals to improve accuracy and speed. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for other organizations aiming to optimize performance evaluation systems through information technology.

Abstract

Based on the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), 93% of preschool-aged children in Indonesia experience dental caries, indicating the crucial role of parents in establishing oral health habits from an early age. This study aimed to determine the relationship between caregiving factors and dental caries in children. An analytic cross-sectional survey design was used, conducted at the Posyandu in Sekip Lama Village under UPT Puskesmas Singkawang Tengah I, with a population of 84 participants selected through a total sampling technique. Research instruments included a caregiving behavior questionnaire, the child’s age, the number of the child’s teeth, the caregiver’s educational background and occupation, as well as the caries index; data were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that most parents had caregiving behavior in the adequate category (69.3%), with an average behavior score of 18.71 ± 4.5; children had an average dmf-t index of 6.08 ± 4.9, at ages 12–60 months, and an average number of teeth of 17 ± 4.5. The Spearman test revealed a significant relationship between the severity of dental caries and the child’s age, the number of teeth, the caregiver’s educational level, and caregiving behavior (p < 0.05). It can be concluded that caregiving factors play an important role in children’s oral health conditions, and parents are encouraged to be more proactive in fostering good oral hygiene habits from an early age.

Abstract

Increasing student learning outcomes is greatly influenced by motivation in the learning concept. Teachers can achieve this by using appropriate learning methods. The aim of this research is to increase student motivation and learning outcomes in mathematics lessons. One of the efforts made by teachers to increase students' learning motivation in Mathematics subjects is by applying methods Index Card Match. This research used a Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach and involved 26 class II students at SDN Cijagra 04, Paseh District, consisting of 13 female students and 13 male students. The research was conducted in 2 cycles during the 2023-2024 academic year. If the subject's score in the first cycle has not reached the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) score, the research will continue in the second cycle. If all subjects achieve scores according to the KKM in the second cycle, the research is considered complete. After 2 cycles, student learning outcomes increased from 86.69 in cycle 1 to 100 in cycle 2. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research conclusion shows that there is an increase in students' motivation and mathematics learning outcomes by implementing the Index Card Match method. Students also show enthusiasm, enthusiasm, activity, creativity and courage in expressing opinions. Student motivation towards learning material also increases, and student learning experiences become broader, which ultimately has an impact on improving learning outcomes. It is hoped that the results of this research can help teachers choose appropriate learning methods to achieve learning goals, especially in Mathematics subjects

Abstract

This paper describes how to applying the Cooperative Learning Method with concept mapping learning in English Language Education Department. The overall knowledge domain speaking in the field is shown. It is underlined that the concept mapping serves as a suitable tool to support instructors in promoting students’ skill of speaking and in improving their understanding of new concepts. This study examines the effect of concept mapping methods and assessment on the English speaking skills of students in English Education Department at Banten Jaya University. The results of the research testing described in the previous can be drawn: 1). There is an effect of the Cooperative Learning method with the Concept mapping to the fourth semester students speaking skill in English Education Department 2) There is an effect of Assessment on the English speaking skills of fourth semester students of the English Education Department. 3) There is an interaction between the Cooperative Learning method and concept mapping with assessment in Concept Mapping method in Speaking skill of fourth Student in English Education Department. From the three findings above, it can be concluded that the application of the method of learning English speaking skills must consider students' Speaking skill assessments

Abstract

Carrying out community service is one of the Tridharma of Higher Education which must be carried out by lecturers and students. Joining the Teaching Volunteer Team, lecturers and students of FKIP Suryakancana University carried out Tridharma activities in restoring student learning motivation after the earthquake. It is not an easy thing to restore the motivation of students after the earthquake, this is because some of the survivors and injured victims are traumatized so that their mental and psychological conditions are disturbed. This includes children who are a vulnerable group affected by the earthquake in Cianjur Regency. To improve learning motivation for students can also be done by integrating the learning process by playing and using the media as an attraction for students. This service activity was carried out to describe the implementation of learning activities in three villages affected by the gemba disaster in Cianjur.

Abstract

Aspergillus sp. merupakan jamur lingkungan yang umum ditemukan pada area lembap dan tertutup, termasuk sistem pendingin udara (Air Conditioner/AC), dan berpotensi menurunkan kualitas udara dalam ruangan. Masjid sebagai tempat ibadah dengan intensitas kunjungan tinggi dan penggunaan AC yang rutin berisiko menjadi sumber paparan spora jamur bagi jamaah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keberadaan Aspergillus sp. pada hapusan filter AC di masjid Kecamatan Ratu Agung, Kota Bengkulu tahun 2025. Penelitian menggunakan desain deskriptif observasional dengan sampel sebanyak 20 unit AC masjid yang dipilih dari total 64 masjid. Sampel debu filter AC diambil menggunakan cotton swab steril, kemudian diinokulasikan pada media Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) dan diinkubasi pada suhu ±37°C selama 3–7 hari. Identifikasi jamur dilakukan berdasarkan karakteristik makroskopis dan mikroskopis menggunakan pewarnaan Lactophenol Cotton Blue (LPCB). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 14 dari 20 sampel (70%) teridentifikasi positif mengandung Aspergillus sp., sedangkan 6 sampel (30%) tidak menunjukkan pertumbuhan jamur tersebut. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar filter AC masjid di Kecamatan Ratu Agung terkontaminasi Aspergillus sp., sehingga berpotensi menurunkan kualitas udara dalam ruangan dan menimbulkan risiko kesehatan bagi jamaah. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya perawatan dan pembersihan AC secara berkala sebagai upaya pencegahan paparan jamur di lingkungan masjid.

Abstract

The expectation gap between educators and students is a challenge that impacts the quality of the learning process and outcomes. This expectation gap arises when the goals, perspectives, and learning needs of teachers and students are not aligned, whether in terms of learning methods, communication, learning styles, or the availability of supporting resources. Teachers tend to focus on achieving curriculum and competency targets, while students desire more engaging, relevant learning and support when facing difficulties. This mismatch can result in decreased motivation, low participation, academic stress, and decreased effectiveness of classroom interactions. This study examines the concept of the expectation gap, its causes, and its impact on the learning process. Furthermore, strategies that can be implemented to minimize this gap are discussed, such as two-way communication, learning differentiation, the use of interactive media, improving teacher pedagogical competence, and creating a supportive learning climate. Through a deeper understanding, expectations can be managed so that learning becomes more adaptive, harmonious, and optimally meets student needs.

Abstract

Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKN) merupakan bagian dari kurikulum Indonesia. PPKN bertujuan untuk membekali peserta didik dengan pemahaman dan pengetahuan tentang nilai-nilai Pancasila sebagai dasar kebangsaan dan kewarganegaraan Indonesia. Dalam pelajaran ini, selain memperkenalkan konsep-konsep dasar seperti demokrasi, hak asasi manusia, dan tanggung jawab sipil, Anda juga akan belajar tentang sejarah, konstitusi, sistem pemerintahan, dan budaya Indonesia. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Hangtuah 1 Belawan. Pendekatan penelitian ini didasarkan pada pendekatan kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami secara komprehensif fenomena yang dialami subjek penelitian dan menjelaskannya dalam bentuk kata dan bahasa ilmiah. Kurangnya keaktifan siswa dalam belajar dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor. Faktor yang paling sering ditemukan yaitu faktor yang berasa dari luar diri siswa (faktor internal) dan faktor yang berasal dari luar diri siswa (faktor eksternal).

This study examines participatory urban governance in the management of public rental apartments (Rusunawa) in the 24-26 Ilir area of Palembang City, Indonesia. It explores how fragmented institutional arragements and weak coordination among government agencies shape the daily governance of public housing and how residents respond. Using a qualitative ethnographic approach, data were gathered through participant observation, in depth interviews with 20 informants, and field documentation. The findings show that governance of public housing in Palembang operates within institutional fragmentation, where the absence of clear authority and coordination creates governance vacuums that are filled by local actors( neighborhood heads and senior residents). Citizen participation emerges as an adaptive, community-drivenpractice that sustains everyday management despite limited formal support. This participation is largely informal, negotiated, and rooted in social solidarity rather than formal policy mechanisms. The study reframes urban governance as a lived and negotiated process, emphasizing that sustainable public housing management requires recognizing local capacities, institutionalizing deliberative space, and collaborative support from municipal authorities. The research contributes to the discourse on particatory governance in mid-sized cities of the Global South by highlighting the value of community-based management as a foundation for inclusive and context-responsive urban policy.
