Abstract

Seulawah volcano, located in Sumatra, Indonesia, is renowned for its geothermal potential, a crucial source of cleaner energy for Indonesia’s future growth and security. Available studies of Seulawah volcano primarily focus on its general geological, geochemical, and regional characteristics, with limited research on its shallow subsurface conditions. This study aimed to fill this research gap and enhance our understanding of the geothermal system of Seulawah volcano. There are two objectives of this study: (1) to conduct a transient electromagnetic (TEM) survey across the study area and (2) to better visualize and characterize the shallow subsurface conditions of the geothermal system of Seulawah volcano. The TEM method, which employed 60 stations (with distances between stations ranging from 0.5 to 1 km) and intersected several geothermal manifestations as well as local and regional faults, was used to achieve the objectives of this study. The Occam algorithm was applied for 1D inversion of TEM data, which was then validated using magnetotelluric data. The results of this study indicate that the geothermal system of Seulawah volcano has the potential to generate up to 230 Mwe of electrical energy. Moreover, the shallow depth (<200m) of Seulawah volcano is dominated by a resistive zone, which is interpreted to be related to the basaltic rocks of the Lamteuba Formation. The reservoir layer is located at depths of 200–500 m, exhibiting moderate resistivity values of >10 Ωm. At a depth of 500 m, a conductive layer with resistivity values <10 Ωm was observed, interpreted as a clay cap where fluids from the reservoir layer accumulate. Validation with magnetotelluric data shows results consistent with the TEM data, confirming that the findings of this study are reliable. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the geothermal system of Seulawah volcano and are expected to support the development of greener, renewable energy sources for Indonesia.

Abstract

Given the increasing demand for high-quality educational services, especially in developing regions, understanding the leadership factors that contribute to service enhancement is crucial. This study investigates the influence of instructional leadership on the quality of school services in vocational high schools, highlighting its significance in the broader context of educational improvement. The study specifically aims to examine how instructional leadership impacts various dimensions of school service quality, with a focus on vocational education settings in Bireuen Regency, Aceh, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 80 vocational high school teachers and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings reveal that the instructional leadership indicator most strongly associated with improved service quality is the leader’s orientation toward a clear vision and mission. This dimension significantly influences the ‘tangibility’ aspect of school services, indicating that visionary leadership is closely linked to improved physical facilities and resources, thereby shaping teachers’ perceptions of service quality. These results underscore the strategic role of leadership in creating an environment conducive to quality education. The study offers practical implications for policymakers and school administrators, advocating for leadership development programs that focus on vision-oriented management and sustained professional growth. Future studies are recommended to explore complementary variables such as school climate, teacher motivation, and institutional policies to build a more comprehensive model for enhancing school service quality.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of discipline, work motivation, and career development on the performance of civil servants at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of North Maluku Province. The results of the tests show that discipline (X1) and career development (X3) have a significant effect on performance (Y), while work motivation (X2) does not. The regression coefficient for discipline is positive (0.421), indicating that an increase in discipline directly impacts improved performance. Simultaneously, the three variables contribute 75.5% to performance, with the remaining influence being attributed to other factors. The adjusted R² value is used to ensure the accuracy of the model in measuring the effect of independent variables on performance. It is recommended that agency leaders continue to enhance discipline and provide career development opportunities for employees. Additionally, strategies to improve work motivation should be evaluated to have a more significant impact on performance. Management should prioritize the establishment of a consistent work discipline culture and provide clear and structured career development paths for civil servants. This is crucial to foster optimal performance and improve organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the meaning and positive role of the culture of "Urang Kita" and Pi'il Pesenggiri among the Banjar and Lampung tribal communities and the Lampung community in building tolerant attitudes between groups and religious communities in Kuala Tungkal Jambo and Lampung. The next goal is to explore opportunities for the value of these traditions in building and affirming tolerant and moderate life in society Indonesia is plural today. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach using a review system that summarizes the results of primary research to present more comprehensive and balanced facts to find a description of a problem or topic under study. Data collection techniques are carried out by collecting various documents related to the focus of research. The data that has been collected is then studied in depth to find out reliable research results. Based on the discussion and analysis in several chapters above, the results of this study are concluded as follows: Tolerance is one of the important attitudes in forming a peaceful and serene life to build a just, prosperous, developed and prosperous society. Tolerance has been a culture of the Indonesian nation since time immemorial, and this attitude is increasingly needed and must be strengthened in the modern era when Indonesian society is more diverse and faces challenges from various ideologies and foreign cultures. One strategic and important approach in building tolerance and preventing divisive identity politics is through local wisdom, namely the values that live and are practiced by tribal communities in the archipelago, such as the Banjar community in Kuala Tungkal Jambi and the Lampung Pepadun community in Tulang Bawang Lampung. One of the traditions of local wisdom of the Banjar people in Kuala Tungkal Jambi refers to or greets other groups outside the Banjar tribe with the term "Urang Kita" or "Our Brothers". With this expression, the Banjar tribe calls or mentions and acknowledges the existence of other tribes, but they are still called as "Brothers". Other groups outside the Banjar tribe can be Malays, Bugis, Javanese, Batak, etc., both Muslim and non-Muslim. While the tradition of local wisdom of the Lampung tribe is in the values of life, especially "Pi'il Pesenggiri", which teaches to respect guests, protect and require honor as a condition for doing good. Committing bad or unethical acts is considered a violation of self-esteem or "pi'il", therefore guests or other groups should be protected or respected. Tolerant attitudes must continue to be built and strengthened as a basis for realizing a just, prosperous, prosperous country within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia that is peaceful and upholds human values.

Abstract

Credit provided by banks basically contains risks, so in its implementation banks must pay attention to sound credit principles, including banks are not allowed to provide credit without a written agreement. Efforts to reduce the risk of loss in providing credit, require credit guarantees in the sense of confidence in the ability and ability of debtors to pay off their debts in accordance with the agreement. The problems in this study are: (1) How is the existence of the implementation of individual guarantees for lending to PT Bank BTPN Mitra Usaha Rakyat Tbk Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung Branch in the perspective of the Banking Law and legal guarantees? (2) What are the legal implications for default in the implementation of individual guarantees for lending to PT Bank BTPN Mitra Usaha Rakyat Tbk Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung Branch? The research approach used is a socio-legal research approach. Research data is sourced from doctrinal and non-doctrinal research data. The data is then processed through data selection, data classification and data preparation, then analyzed qualitatively. The results show: (1) The existence of individual guarantees for lending to PT Bank BTPN Mitra Usaha Rakyat Tbk Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung Branch in the perspective of the Banking Law is in accordance with the provisions of Article 8 that in providing credit, Commercial Banks must have confidence in the ability and ability of debtors to pay off their debts in accordance with the agreement. Meanwhile, from the perspective of legal guarantees, additional collateral is in accordance with Bank Indonesia policy. The receipt of collateral in the form of individual guarantees is basically only as an addition to confidence that the credit will run well due to the control of the insurer over the health of the debtor's business. (2) The legal implication for the occurrence of default in the implementation of individual guarantees for lending to PT Bank BTPN Mitra Usaha Rakyat Tbk Teluk Betung Bandar Lampung Branch is that the bank can directly collect the Guarantor to fulfill its obligations, if in the agreement the guarantor has expressly waived the privilege to demand that the debtor's assets be confiscated first. The Bank can collect the Guarantor through a lawsuit in the District Court and then execute it.
