Abstract

One of the educational problems faced today is that it has not succeeded in realizing a culture of literacy. Weak reading skills, perhaps this is because education still emphasizes aspects of routine skills and mere memorization. So, a learning model is needed that can facilitate students to have a literacy culture. To overcome this problem, it was developed through the Read-Answer-Discuss-Explain-and-Create (RADEC) learning model. This study aims to describe the improvement of students' literacy culture through the implementation of the Read-Answer-Discuss-Explain-and- Create (RADEC) learning model. The research method used is a Quasi-Experimental Research One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design with the research subjects of 26 fifth grade students of Pondoksari Sukaresik State Elementary School, Tasikmalaya, West Java, Indonesia. The results showed that literacy culture can be improved through the implementation of the RADEC learning model of 5.1.

Abstract

This research focuses on curriculum management in the Laboratory Schools under the LPTK. Planning, actuating, and controlling are forms of curriculum management at the Labschool of Indonesian Education University (UPI), Ganesha Education University (UNDIKSHA), Padang State University (UNP), and Jakarta State University (UNJ). The method used is qualitative with purposive sampling. The subjects in this study were the principal, the head of the foundation/LPTK, teachers, and administrative staff. The results showed that curriculum management planning in each laboratory school was administratively implemented by a curriculum development team involving input from the LPTK. The implementation is fully in the control of the principal and vice principal in the field of curriculum, and a special team from the LPTK and foundations carries out supervision. This research is expected to provide an overview of curriculum management in laboratory schools and a reference for laboratory schools under the LPTK in Indonesia.

Abstract

The low of students’ speaking skill will impact on the low of students’ ability to express, convey, communicate idea, thought, feeling, and students’ ability to communicate. Students’ speaking skill is very closely related with the students’ listening skill. Through listening to the video students are expected to have speaking skill. This research is aimed at finding out students’ speaking skill based on video in elementary school. Method used in this study is qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of the study as many as 32 of the fourth grade students. The subjects consist of 20 male students and 12 female students in Rancaekek 05 elementary school. The data gathered were analized by applying Likert scale. The result shows that the use of video can improve students’ speaking skill in elementary school and by using video the speaking skill of female students is higher than the speaking skill of male students

Abstract

4C skills have become part of the current elementary school curriculum, which is expected to improve the quality of education so that graduates are ready to compete in the global world. Student worksheet, based on the RADEC model, is needed as a learning tool that can help participants practice 4C skills. This study aims to develop and validate the Student Worksheet based on the RADEC model on the theme of aerial skills-oriented 21st century: critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication (4C). This research and development (R&D) use the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). This research was carried out until the development stage or validation stage. The validity of the student worksheet is determined by an assessment of media, materials, and language on a scale of four, validated by twenty-five teachers who have attended the RADEC model workshop for three days. The data obtained were tabulated by calculating the validity of the quantitative and descriptive analysis. The development results show that the student worksheet based on the RADEC model to train 4C skills is declared valid with the calculation results Vh>Vt or Vh> 0.64 and is suitable for use in learning. This research can be used as information on the development and validation of teaching materials, especially student worksheet, based on the RADEC model to train 4C skills in science materials in elementary schools.

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman dan teknologi pada era globalisasi dibidang makanan, menyebabkan perubahan pola pikir siswa terhadap makanan. Siswa lebih memilih untuk mengkonsumsi makanan kemasan yang berbahan plastik dibanding dengan mengkonsumsi makanan bekal dari rumah. Makanan kemasan dapat memberikan pengaruh kurang baik terhadap kesehatan fisik siswa dan kemasan pada makanan dapat menjadikan sampah yang tidak ramah lingkungan. Maka diperlukan pendidikan ecoliteracy pada siswa Sekolah Dasar, yaitu melalui bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal Indramayu yang memuat makanan khas Indramayu. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran yang mendalam tentang diperlukannya menumbuhkan ecoliteracy melalui bahan ajar cetak bergambar dalam pembelajaran muatan lokal Indramayu di Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumen literatur seperti artikel, prosiding dan buku-buku yang relevan dengan konsep ecoliteracy, bahan ajar cetak, kearifan lokal Indramayu dan pembelajaran muatan lokal. Teknik analisis data terdiri dari pengumpulan data, penyajian data, reduksi dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar cerita bergambar berbasis kearifan lokal Indramayu diperlukan untuk menumbuhkan ecoliteracy siswa dengan pembahasan mengenai (1) konsep ecoliteracy, (2) kearifan lokal Indramayu, (3) bahan ajar cetak, dan (4) pola pengembangan penyusunan bahan ajar cetak berbasis kearifan lokal Indramayu yang memuat materi tentang bahan makanan khas Indramayu, cara membuat, dan manfaatnya. Dilengkapi juga soal latihan dan tindak lanjut. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran dan dijadikan acuan untuk mengembangkan penelitian selanjutnya sebagai bentuk inovasi pada pembelajaran muatan lokal di Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Mengembangkan keterampilan calon guru dalam merencanakan pembelajaran adalah salah satu tujuan utama dalam pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dampak penerapan model pembelajaran RADEC (Read, Answer, Disscuss, Explain, and Create) terhadap kemampuan calon guru dalam merencanakan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain one shot case study. Populasi dalam penelitian berjumlah 40. Adapun jumlah sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 9 orang calon guru. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, dan studi dokumentasi hasil rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang telah dibuat oleh calon guru. Hasil tersebut dianalisis dan dinilai berdasarkan instrument penilaian kemampuan merencanakan pembelajaran yang sudah dikembangkan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh hasil bahwa skor rata-rata kemampuan calon guru dalam merencanakan pembelajaran sebesar 95,39. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran RADEC memiliki dampak yang baik terhadap kemampuan calon guru dalam merencanakan pembelajaran.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kemampuan representasi merupakan aspek penting agar dapat berhasil memecahkan masalah kimia. Pemahaman pebelajar ditunjukkan oleh kemampuannya  mentransfer dan menghubungkan multiple representasi kimia, yaitu makroskopik,  submiskroskopik dan simbolik dengan berbagai mode representasi atau disebut juga interkoneksi multiple level representasi kimia (IMLR). Mahasiswa calon guru harus memahami hubungan ketiga level representasi kimia secara internal dan  dapat menyajikannya kembali ketiga representasi tersebut dalam pembelajaran, agar kelak menjadi guru yang handal. Untuk itu  dikembangkan suatu model perkuliahan menggunakan sistem manajemen belajar berbasis Moodle 2.0. Adapun desain pembelajaran dikembangkan dengan memanfaatkan fitur-fitur ; lesson page, forum diskusi, penugasan (assignment).  Implementasi model menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan one group pretes-postes design terhadap 37 mahasiswa calon guru di salah satu LPTK di Bandung menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan kemampuan IMLR mahasiswa  pada topik kesetimbangan larutan asam-basa. Mahasiswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menyarankan perlunya dikembangkan lebih luas desain belajar  IMLR  berbasis web untuk meningkatkan mutu program pendidikan calon guru ataupun program peningkatan kompetensi professional guru kimia di lapangan. Kata kunci : Pembelajaran berbasis web, interkoneksi multiple level representasi, Kesetimbangan larutan asam-basa ABSTRACT Representational competence is an important aspect of successful problem solving in chemistry. Students' understanding indicated by the ability to transfer and connection between macroscopic phenomena, submicroscopic and symbolic representation or also called the interconnection of multiple levels representation (IMLR) competence.  Preservice chemistry teachers should be achieved IMLR competence so that later will be applied it after they become   teachers.  Development of web-based learning management system that support the IMLR competence to improve the quality of preservice chemistry teachers carried out by  Web-based learning with Moodle 2.0 utilize features; lesson page, discussion forums, and assignment.  The  implementation of web-based learning using quasi experiment method with one group pretest-postest design. Involvement of  37 preservice chemistry teachers at teacher education program in Bandung. Results showed that IMLR competence preservice chemistry teachers increased significantly in topic of acid-base equilibrium. Most of students gave positive feedback and expected to continue web-based learning on other topics of chemistry. It is suggested to applied web-based learning design to enhance IMLR competence preservice chemistry teachers widely as well as to enhance professional competence of inservice chemistry teachers. Abstract

The transition from face-to-face learning to distance learning has decreased student learning outcomes. Departing from this phenomenon, this research is presented as an effort to overcome various obstacles experienced by teachers and students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The researcher offers a model that can be used in virtual learning activities. Beginning with finding out the extent of the influence of the problem-based learning (PBL) model on accounting learning outcomes in class X Accounting 1 students at SMK YPKK Limbung. Research data obtained from the results of the test, observation, and documentation. Then analyzed using t-test which consists of simple linear regression analysis and product moment correlation. The findings in this experimental study resulted in a simple linear regression equation model with a value of Y=33,012+4.283X and a correlation coefficient value of 0.580. After students received learning using the PBL model through distance learning and were given a post-test, their learning outcomes also increased. In other words, the implementation of the PBL model has a significant and positive effect on accounting learning outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to build students' creative thinking skills using problem - based learning in handling staple food waste. The research methods are development and research with the stages of design, development, and evaluation. This research was conducted at a private high school in Tangerang Regency. The research was involved thirty students of Class XI IPA in the second semester of the 2019/2020 school year and was connected through the WhatsApp group. The research instrument used Student Worksheets (LKS) in the form of a test essay for nine items that have been validated to measure students’ creative thinking skills. The research data were analyzed quantitatively by using Microsoft Excel and qualitative-  descriptive. The results of the students' creative thinking skills showed the percentage of fluency (31.66%), flexibility (35.18%), elaboration (58.33%), and evaluation (54.88%) indicators, the average percentage was 45.01% categorized as medium. The conclusions drawn are the creative thinking skills that emerge after using problem-based learning are fluent thinking, flexibility thinking, evaluative thinking, and elaborative thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to build students' creative thinking skills in the context of handling fish bone waste by using a Problem-Based Learning model. The research method applied was Developmental Research with pre-experimental research design one group pretest-posttest. This research was conducted at one of the MANs located in Medan City. The sample in this study were 32 students of class XI IPA in the even semester of the 2019/2020 school year. Research activities were carried out online with the help of the WhatsApp application and zoom. The research instrument used the form of 12 essay items on the validated student worksheets (LKS) and suitable for measuring students' creative thinking skills. The data obtained from this study were analyzed quantitatively using Microsoft Excel and SPSS software. The results showed that students' creative thinking skills in the context of handling fish bone waste by using a problem-based learning model were included in the "Good" category with an average overall percentage of 63%.
